Sshhhhh 🤫 this is a secret. This is Pontwalby Viaduct, not far from Sgwd Gwladus Waterfalls. It's a secret because the council doesn't tell any one about it, and doesn't maintain the area. The foot paths are over grown, you can't really get a good photo of it because of the foliage. It's is however a grade 2 listed construction designed by Brunel and in its day linked up to what is now the Brecon Railway. Not a huge walk, but worth spending the few minutes seeing it and since nobody knows about it, it's great for social distancing. Enjoying the view.

This is Llyn Fach (in English, Small Lake), in Rhigos, South Wales. It's a very interesting place.

It's a glacial lake, meaning it was left here by the glaciers that carved these Valleys out of the mountain during the Ice Age.

It used to be much smaller, but was deepened between 1909 and 1913 so it could be used as a reservoir. During this time workmen discovered the Llyn Fach Hoard.

A treasure trove of celtic bronze, most notably a cauldron, as well as several chisels, sickles and axes were discovered. Also an iron sword and spear heads. This means that this site was active during the cross over from Bronze Age to Iron Age for votive offers.

I don't know who the god, goddess or spirit the offerings were left for, but this is a holy place.

All change on the future front

i have decided to change my idea on the eco future. After researching the apocalyptic and eco city. It seems that the two are very similar in ideas. That many images with greenery on could be interpreted as apocalyptic or chaotic. I want to have a clear difference in the visual. That the image should be of a open space and simple living. Working with nature than against it. I will therefore use my spare past photos taken last year, of the Rhigos and Bwlch and neighbouring countryside, also incorporate buildings i have found on my travels. Like Ogmore, Southerndown and older buildings of Cardiff. I will adapt these to fit with my idea.
