What is your favourite fight in Black Clover

... I am physically incapable of choosing one sooo you're gonna get my top 5.

Though these aren't in any particular order.

I am only on chapter 305 of the manga so these might change.

1. Asta, Finral and Vanessa vs Vetto.

I love that fight.

I will never shut up about it.

It is great both as a physical fight, the teamwork is amazing.

And also for what that fight means in story and too Finral and Vanessa's characters.

2. Mereoleona vs Rhya.

I love how much they hyped up Rhya.

How epic his copy magic is, he's so amazing and he's so high up with the eye of the midnight sun.

...and Mereoleona just bodies him.

He throws everything he has at her and it does nothing.

It's more of a onesided massacre than it is fight.

It's fucking glorious.

3. Magna VS Dante.

That punch is one of the most satisfying things I've ever seen.

I will never tire of characters showing what their made off, that they shouldn't be underestimated.

The amount of work it took him, the lead up the payoff.

So good.

4. Vanica vs Charlotte.

Okay technically this fight is still going but I love it.

I didn't think Charlotte could be more cool.

And I am so glad I was proven wrong.

Like holyshit she just went oh my curse? Oh that's supposed to weaken me?

How about I use my curse to fuck with people who are cursed.

The Captain of the blue roses turning her roses blue.

5. Asta, Yuno and pretty much everyone vs Zagred.

Like it begins with Asta and Yuno and well those two teaming up will never not be awesome.

Yuno in his spirit drive form.

Asta in his demon form.

And seeing everyone else join in.

Mereoleona, Yami, Licht, Lumiere etc.

It's just so awesome seeing everyone.

Elves and humans, all of them come together against the dude responsible for all of this.

The payoff and the amount of foreshadowing all of this is amazing to see.

Yami gets serious.

And in the anime the first opening is playing.

Oh it's been a hot minute since we last talked about Rhya on this blog, so it's more than about time! ^^

🤫 Unpopular headcanon if any

I'm not sure how unpopular it is today, and maybe it's more of an opinion than a headcanon, but I think that his ability to tell if people are lying or not, is not exactly a spell, or his magic. Because his magic is copying magic, and not... anything particularly related to lies or detecting them. Instead I think it's a similar skill as to ki. But maybe functions through magic/mana in a way? Essentially it's the same feature, but he subconsciously senses disturbances in the person's mana. Disturbance in the force, if you will.

🤭 Their silly little secret

It's both a secret, and something he believes in. The only way to enter a pond or a lake, especially during a hot summer day, is by a canonball. As an adult, he usually does so only when no one is around, or if only those he is the closest to are. But if it's a lot of people that he's not very familiar with, he doesn't run in with "cannonball!" Because it'd be "childish".

It's silly, but a lot of fun.

😆 Funny headcanon

He has a thing for apple pies. So much so that he used to sneak some of those that were still cooling off on the windowsills (or the elf equivalent of them) for himself. It was one of the things where he could be seen up and about, moving very quickly; with a pie in his hands.

Actually, it got to the point where some of the elves used to bake apple pies just for him to take. Because they liked seeing him up and about for a change. The community was about sharing, after all. And they got a good laugh out of the "cat and mouse" game where Rhya was trying to not be seen, and the others were trying to pretend that they didn't see anything.

But Rhya being Rhya, eventually picked up that they knew it was him, and that they were only pretending to not see him or know about it. However, he kept the thing up, because if the others didn't mind, neither did he. It became a kind of a game.

Moss grows all over their bodies like fur, often getting nibbled and eaten by sheeps or trimmed in different styles

They have the habit of burying themselves deep into the ground to the point of not being able to get distinguished from common grass, more than once has one emerged from the ground and scared a passing elf

Pups are born without any moss covering them, parents will bury their young in fertile moist soil to help in the development of their magic and mana

Reinforcement Magic

Standing easily up to an adult elf eye level, energetic and always on high alert for threats

Normally in charge of babies and toddlers, tend to take them for joy rides in their pouches to their parents dismay

Great climbers, high jumpers and fast runners, Baval in his teen years decided to try and ride on Sparkles to compete with Kivn’s moss dog, he ended up stuck in Elysia highest tree

Each individual bonds hard and fast with the elves in their charge to the point of trying to teach toddlers climbing and jumping from tree to tree

Pouches are a characteristic of both genders, males and females take turns in caring for their kits and carrying them around

—Saleeti Toad/Mushroom Toad

Mushroom magic

Giant amphibians with three rows of sharp teeth, expert swimmers and hunters, will often intimidate or attack intruders on sight

Toddlers and infants are frequently seen riding on them as small living boats or sleeping with them as the mushrooms on them are bioluminescent, thus making them a living nightlight for any darkness scared elf.

Adult elves also ride on their backs but instead of staying in the surface, they will dive with them to catch fish or collect other underwater objects they came across.

Carnivorous and with voracious appetite, will either stay underwater with their mouths hanging open and catch any unsuspecting fish, or jump out of their ponds and grab a passing bird. Mammals and baby elves are completely out of their diets.

Fathers care for the army of tadpoles, moving them from a muddy puddle under bushes to a bigger pond in their mouths when the babies are ready to transition. Armies can reach up to 20 pollywogs each.

I like Rhya, although my favorite out of the Third Eye was Fana, he was my second favorite 🥰!

I like his laid back personality, he reminds me of similar characters in different anime's that are lazy, don't want to fight, but they turn out to be some of the most powerful ones in the group (if not the most powerful ones)! Although his flirting and stuff sometimes made me roll my eyes, I just brushed them off 😆!

I also loved/found it irritating (in a good way) that he could mimic other mages powers and copy them, it was fun to see, but also made me wanna pull my hair out snjdjhiwnxjhn!

I also love how loyal he is to Licht/Patri, and how he worries and is concerned for him. That's kind of where I started to like him more, is when I saw that he was the most "calm" of the three, and how he had a feeling there was a lot more going on then what they knew!

So overall I like him and find him fun, he's my second favorite out of the Third Eye, and maybe we'll get a small glimpse of him during the final arc!

He knows that no one in the division would make any comment about it but he would still be afraid if someone one day did that and you were around, because he knew you wouldn't hesitate. William is very grateful that you defend him and are not afraid to show your power wherever you go.

Your strength is something that surprised him when you showed him your potential. It intimidated him a little, or maybe more than he expected. Not gonna lie, but he had already tried to copy your powerful magic but was frustrated because he couldn't reach full power like you did. And after that he went to take a long nap because this man is very lazy. But he really likes to see you fighting and showing how strong you are. He admires you a lot for that. At first, he thought you wouldn't care about him since you were so strong but when you started smiling here and there at him, he couldn't resist and you two started talking more often than usual. You were also very protective of him and he felt very safe around you because he recognized your strength and knew what you could do with it.
