Rift Gala is going on today and my piece for Heimerdinger was dropped! I’m so excited, everyone has been really excited for it and I hope you all on Tumblr like it as well! I did not make the background, just the rendering of Heimer himself and the design. :) There is a LOT of really amazing artworks on Rift Gala, so please go check out the MASSIVE amount of art out AND coming over the next few days! EVERYONE worked really hard and it’s GORGEOUS! \o/

Rift Gala 2022: Nilah

This is the artwork I did for Rift Gala (on twitter) this year! I was tasked with creating a gala outfit for Nilah (from League of Legends) with the thematic of Dreams and Nightmares. I decided I wanted to go with a more dream inspired outfit for her and since her aesthetics are based on South Asian culture I wanted to give her an outfit also inspired by the beautiful outfits from India.

Poppy rocking the dreams and nightmares theme as well as some comfy garen jamies. Veigar’s look was styled by the always impeccable stilted robemaker

Tristana and Veigar are my favorite yordles in terms of character. heimerdinger, kled and poppy are definitely runners up in that category. Both characters are fleshed out enough to make them prime protagonists of a story. Veigar will always be my favorite even if in game he’s really ugly with really high pitched voicelines. Scott is the only true runeterra veigs, the voice filter they add to it really gives the impression that veigar is dramatic/ theatrical but also that he is an actual force to be reckoned with. Oh also I think it’s like infinitely funny that Tristana flirts with veigar in their interactions but at all the things he deliberately tries to hide. To be clear I don’t ship them at all, they are both made out of queer coating but Trist having a small crush on this walking pride flag is peak comedy
