Jesus is not one to sugar coat things. Read his words, the words written about him and it’ll be clear. He went straight to the heart of things. You can’t pretend with Him. Righting Wrong views and realigning people who were missing the point was constantly a part of His mission because the world to which he came was and is far off of God’s original design. . I am not an expert at the Bible. But what I’m struck with is in giving a correction to a group of friends who dismissed the children, Jesus points them to the statement it emphasizes —to such belongs the Kingdom of God. Impactful words that no doubt shook his friends up, especially when they were just discussing who among them is the greatest, maybe it confused them, but I think it reminded them what God’s way is like. It’s like nothing they’ve understood before. . I come to the Bible because I believe God gave it to us and shows us the way of life in it. And each time I do, I am shown more of who God is. I am shown what my wrong assumptions or views are, and where I’ve missed the point. Whatever season of life you’re in ... you can trust God to write your story.

The habits, the choices, the faithfulness you’re making today, to love God, to love His Word, to say “Yes” to His promises, to cling to Him when you can’t understand what He’s doing, to praise Him when your eyes are filled with tears - those choices, those hard choices - seeking God, putting Him first, getting into His Word when you feel like you don’t have a spare minute in your day, prioritizing your spiritual life and development and not just a to-do list of the day - all these things, when you get to be 40-, 50-, 60s, ... you will reap, down the road, the beautiful fruit and benefits and blessings of those hard choices you’re making today.

[But] you’re gonna blow it, too. ... There are days we totally blow it. We fail. We don’t trust God at times, we lean on our own understanding, we get so caught up in activity and busyness, that we forget the Lord. And that’s where the Gospel is such good news, no matter what age you are. ... The Gospel is for sinners, it’s for people who blow it. ... So living out the Gospel in that season ... is going to stand with you, it’s preparing the way, it’s laying a solid foundation, it’s building your life on a rock, so that when worse storms come as Jesus says in Matthew 7, ... if you’ve been building [your house] on the Rock, Jesus, and the truth of His Word, you’re going to find that your house will stand even if those storms do beat up against it.

Whatever God’s called you to do, you’re not gonna know how to do it, you’re not gonna have the grace to do it, if you haven’t been taking in a steady diet of God’s Word.

We’re all busy, we all have full lives, but take time [to be in the Word] -- find some things that are not essentials in your life at this season and get rid of them. ... If there are some things you’re doing that you just don’t have to do right now - they can be okay things or good things, but you can’t do everything, so make the choice.

If we don’t have Him [Jesus], then we don’t have anything really worth having. And if we’re not looking to Him to guide our day and our steps ... if we’re not leaning on Him to show us what really matters in that day, then we’re gonna be like that frazzled, frenzied, frenetic Martha in Luke 10... The real test is, when I’m pushed and I’m stretched and I’m in my home and I’m around the people who know me best, and I don’t have to be nice to them ... am I breathing grace in, breathing grace out? ... Where am I gonna get the grace to breathe grace out when a staff member or a family member steps on my last nerve? Where am I gonna get the grace to love them well, to be gentle and compassionate and kind? It’s gonna be in God’s Word because you are what you eat.

Comparison has a way of creeping up on us. Bible’s, coffee mugs, and fresh flowers beautifully styled in a photo made to be framed. In an instant covetousness and envy become our friends and we are left looking around at our own portion with discontentment. Before we know it our thoughts lead us into sinful actions and our pride will let us think it is okay. We are a sinful and wretched people and the only solution to it is the gospel. • Christ was the perfect sacrifice. He died for our sins of covetousness, envy, and pride. Because of Christ’s finished work on the cross we are free from comparison. We don’t have to have perfectly styled Instagram photos, because we have a perfect Savior who loves us and died to save us from eternal damnation. I have always try to be as transparent and raw as possible wether it’s sharing great news or not so great news. . We lost the baby almost @ 7 weeks.😢 . I started loving my little peanut the moment we found out. Immediately we started to envision our future with the expectation of this new life. We were ready to surprise my mom on her birthday and start the journey. . But from one day to the next, it was gone😭Experiencing a miscarriage is superrrr hard!! I have felt an empty void for weeks. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions but God has been preparing me for this moment and I will keep pushing along with other women in which I didn’t realize how common this was until it happened to me. . From the ashes of defeat the resurrected King, is resurrecting me and in the midst of pain, we know there's hope. We are still grieving and although I think about my baby everyday, this new path I’m walking on is lighter. . There aren’t enough minutes in the day to express out the ways in which Jesus has blessed my life and heart throughout the years. He has always been there, holding me up. For that, I am eternally grateful. . We are hugging Xavier extra tight. 🤗 He has also helped us throughout the entire process and he doesn’t even know it.🙏 I chose to believe whenever God says it’s time again, it will be his plan. . I’m healing and smiling again. Thanks to everyone who have reached out and have supported us. We love you! I hope that families who have suffered pregnancy loss know that you have not failed.
