Rubicon Liberation Fun.

I think it's really funny how in the supposed corporate hellworld, standard for AC games and 6 being no exception… that with what little Coral they hold and how little resources they actually have… how much the RLF is willing to pay you whatever they can, which is more than what Balam and Arquebus offer (with the exception of the Ambush missions near the end of the underground explorations)

Balam offers 190k for Attack the Dam Complex, and the alt offers you double their offer

Destroying the STRIDER offers 270k, whereas escorting it starts at 500k

After Operation Wallclimber, the highest paying job in Chapter 1 before Attack the Watchpoint is Prisoner Rescue at a cool 250k which is, you guessed it, RLF.

I'm not sure if letting Swinburne off the hook actually nets you a higher reward, but hey, it's cool to see Rokumonsen just pop up out of nowhere. Coincidentally. On a job you were sent on by the RLF… which he could have easily taken care of, given his role, background and build. He's even suited for this kind of stealthy assassination. So why send you, if he could have easily done it? And why did he only appear after accepting Swinburne's offer? Can we assume Ring Freddie is of the same accord, or can we just chalk that up to another rogue action?

Once again, Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech, RLF mission, pays more than what Balam offers for Tunnel Sabotage at a 260k vs 130k difference.

Wow, Destroy the Special Forces Craft, a mission from those ragged resistance fighters living off scraps, pays 300k. Eliminate the Enforcement Squads, a corporate job, 270k. Is FromSoft trying to tell me something?

Defend the Old Spaceport, Arquebus. 200k. Defend the Dam Complex, RLF. 450k. Are you seeing it yet?

Here’s several: Whats a piece of canon lore you actually use? How do you think clans work in relation to Flight governments? How do the deities tie into your lore?

There's a lot of canon lore I like to use! One being the feud between pearlcatchers and imperials.

And I've actually been meaning to make a post on my thoughts on clans vs flights for awhile now! But I see clans as their own little communities that can create their own laws and rules for themselves. The flight they reside in only matters if the clan lives in a city (The named locations on the map that depict buildings are what I'd consider a city. A city is made up of many clans living in close proximity). Since cities are made up of clans that live closely together and therefore disagreements about issues such as resources might occur, the cities tend to be governed by the flight's deity and the flight's deity can overrule any clan law. So the general idea is that clans are mostly self governing, but a deity can step in and have the final say.

The deities are just kinda there in my lore. They're off doing their own things, like training their Exhalted, breaking up disputes among clans, Shade hunting, and fighting one another. Because my main clan is a Light clan, the Lightweaver is the deity that shows up the most often in my lore. My clan has a complicated relationship with her. They used to be in good terms with her, until the clan started allowing Shadlings, aliens and even an Emperor one time to stay in the clan.

Perfume & Allergy // Real Life Fact (RLF???)

Have pity on me- Congratulate me, I sprayed perfume this morning and got hard allergic reaction.

I don't usually use them very often, but today I wanted to.... And I regretted it.

Probably in a hurry, I sprayed too close and the smell is much stronger than usual. For 3 hours now, I can't stop sneezing, and water is pouring out of my nose. Help me((((

P.S. I took an allergy pill and now I'm waiting for it to take effect. I hope it stops my snot 😭😭 I'm really ashamed that I have to borrow napkins from my friend. I have already "stolen" more than 6 napkins!!! 🤧🤧🤧

This week has been a bit crazy, and the update for Blood and Bones is just that the story finally has a map! We are going to a part of the story where some of our characters will move around so that is important.

How would the RLF react to see an Earthling wanting join up and fight the corps? Assuming that there aren’t already Earthlings in the group to begin with. Would Rusty give slight verbal jabs here and there about how the corps, and by extend Earth messed up his planet?

Outsiders joining the RLF isn't actually unheard of! You have varying levels of "Rubiconian" in fact:

Cinders: these are the 'old guard', the Rubiconian citizens that survived the Fires. Unsurprisingly 50 years on they're not numerous, but those that are still in combat roles are the old Rubiconian militia pilots that were augmented. Majority of them pilot BASHO ACs or the tetrapod MTs, and they're stretched pretty thinly. Snow Warrens, which is the base APV is focused on, has Flatwell as the only combat capable Cinder, and a few other Cinders in logistical/administrative roles due to injury or old age.

Generational/Embers: these are Rubiconians descended from Cinders. So, Rusty would be considered an Ember, as his mother was a Cinder. It's a poetic sort of label that's meant to symbolise the new generation of Rubiconians as 'embers stirring from the cinders'. Both Cinders and Embers are considered native Rubiconians.

Naturalised/Kindling: These are Rubiconians that arrived on Rubicon post-Fires, but joined with the RLF through various means. Kindling is meant to symbolise new blood/fuel to keep the embers alive, as the RLF realised that if they kept insular and spurned any and all outsiders from joining their cause, they'd die out. Ziyi would be considered a Kindling, though many consider her an honourary Ember because of the fact that she was adopted by Flatwell as a baby. Rokumonsen as well is considered a Kindling, despite not technically being part of the RLF proper - he's a close enough ally to earn that designation.

I'll note that no Earth humans are Kindling, though. No one really leaves Earth, since it's such a rat race to earn a citizenship there in the first place, and it has the best quality of life out of all of UEG colonies. The only time an Earth human washes up on Rubicon is if they're an augmented human that defected from UEG's military to be an independent mercenary, and don't really join the RLF. Rokumonsen is a notable exception, and he's not even from Earth - he's from Triton, one of Neptune's moons lmao

Majority of Kindlings in the RLF are from other frontier colonies and are from the working class, fed up with their lives and lured in by the idea of joining up with a resistance and fighting against the corporations. While there are other resistance groups in the galaxy, Rubicon is considered the most "successful" in that they're armed, organised and keep cropping up in the news for the past fifty years. Majority of resistances get stamped out within a few years.

So, uh, tl'dr, if an Earth human did join up, yeah, Rusty would be pretty suspicious of them. He'd be extremely passive aggressive in that very polite kind of way that's common in a corporate politics kind of way, but he'd never do anything that would compromise or hurt them on a mission.
