Robbie Jennings #3
Tumblr media
“Robbie Jennings you better not be splashing in my pool!” Y/N yelled from her chair rolling her eyes at the teenage boys cheeky grin that greeted her. Eastbourne finally had the sun shining and warm weather with it so the local outdoor pool was open to the public and currently had kids running amok. The last thing Y/N L/N needed was her fellow classmate causing more trouble for her.
The boy in question swam over easily before pulling himself out and shaking his dark locks drenching the girl in water droplets. “You not coming in?” Robbie teased his blue orbs squinting in the midday sun. “Not unless you plan on drowning… even then it's still debatable.” The girl joked back. Y/N wouldn’t call it flirting; it was more friendly banter. “My shift does finish in 15 minutes though!” the y/h/c girl offered noticing the boy's small frown. “If your girlfriend doesn’t mind me crashing?!” Y/N added hurriedly noticing the dark haired girl currently glaring her down. Confused Robbie turned to face the pool “Oh no that’s just Georgia. She’s Tom’s girlfriend's mate.” he reassured awkwardly, running a hand through his damp strands of hair.
“So I’ll see you in 15?” The boy checked facing the girl again a soft smile placed delicately on his rugged features. “Make it 20 but sure.” Y/N nodded pulling her sunglasses down from where it currently sat on her head.

WARNING: fluff, mentions of death (not real) blood (fake) and stabbing (fake), language, and sadness... i think that’s all.
---------
You were sitting at the makeup chair in your trailer, watching from the mirror as your makeup artist added blood to the corner of your lips. Today was the last day on set for you as your character in your highly anticipated drama film was meeting their demise. It was bittersweet, but after working for a good three months, you were finally happy to get it over with.
Being an actress was something you dreamed of doing. You went from being the sun in your elementary school’s “food chain” play to starring on Broadway in hits like Mean Girls or Wicked. Now, you were hitting the big screen. Though, when people found out about you, as happy as they were to have another talented actress in the business, they had a lot to say about your weight. You were more curvier, more fuller than most of the women in your field, and you faced a lot of criticism for it. No matter how good your acting was, you were always just the “overweight” girl.
At first, those words hurt, and it made you feel as though you wouldn’t make it in the industry. But then, you realized you had been working your ass off to get to where you are today. You damn sure weren’t about to let some snide remarks get in the way of you achieving your dreams. So, you kept pushing and pushing. Now, you had a leading role in a movie, starring alongside Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt.
“I think I need a little bit more pink in the eye.” You said to Andrew, your makeup artist. He rolled his eyes at you and continued to add blush to your cheeks.
“You’re dying, Y/n, not going to the club.”
You shrugged. “Nothing wrong with wanting to look good before I get stabbed.”
“Har, har…now tilt your head.” Andrew sneered, putting on my mascara. “So, where’s Jen? I miss her rants about contracts and stuff.”
“She’s with another client of hers. Something to do with dropping an album or whatever, I don’t know.”
Andrew snickered, screwing the top onto back onto the mascara. “She’s managing music artists too? Isn’t she quite the manager.”
“Tell me about it. I get lucky if she ever she shows me any attention.” You laughed as you pulled out your phone and started scrolling through Instagram. You went through and liked a bunch of pictures until you stopped on a certain person’s photo. A smile plastered itself onto your face as you admired the shirtless shot of your boyfriend, Vinnie.
“Is that the boyfriend I hear so much about?” Andrew grinned.
“That’s him indeed.” You answered with a smile. “His name’s Vinnie.”
You and Vinnie had been together for a good year. You both met at some sleazy influencer party. With you both clinging to wall, clearly not wanting to be there, you two made small talk. You chatted it up about everything: from favorite colors to Elmo, your conversations were wild. At the end of the night when you were getting ready to leave, he asked you for your number—much to your surprise. With glee, you gave it to him and thus led to a beautiful relationship. Of course, there was hate, people questioning what he was doing with you and mocking you because of your weight. But you weren’t focused on that. You had a gorgeous boyfriend and a blossoming career right in front of you. Jealous fans were the least of your worries.
“He’s a cutie, Y/n. You bagged a baddie.” Andrew joked, spritzing some setting spray on his masterpiece. “So, when can I meet him?”
Just before you could respond, the door to your trailer opened. You turned around and shrieked with excitement as your boyfriend wandered in. “I got lost and met Margot Robbie.” He said, causing you and Andrew to laugh. “Hey, babe.”
Vinnie stepped beside you and planted a kiss to your forehead. “Hey, baby!” You squealed. “This is Andrew, my makeup artist.”
You pointed towards the MUA who merely waved at Vinnie before pulling out his phone. “He’s not really social,” you said. “So, what are you doing here? I thought you were doing a sub-a-thon?”
“Well, I was going to, but I decided to come visit you instead.” He replied, moving to stand behind you. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and rested his chin on your head. “Aren’t you happy to see me?”
“Of course, I am. I’m always happy to see you.”
He grinned and went to kiss your lips but before he could Andrew stopped him. “Not on my watch, sir. That took an hour and a half, and I really would like to not spend another one redoing it.”
You snickered, turning to Vinnie. “He takes his work seriously.”
“Duly noted.”
You and Vinnie shared a laugh and talked for a minute before you were called to set. After getting dressed in your tattered dress and fishnets, you left your trailer with Vinnie following behind you. Now, you were standing in the middle of a trashed hotel room with Brad Pitt across from you and Margot Robbie standing a few feet away. Vinnie stood with the crew as your director explained the scene thoroughly to you.
“Ginger”—he pointed at you—“is being attacked by Paul”—he pointed to Brad Pitt—“and Susan is banging on the door to help you, but it’s locked. When she opens it, you’re already dead, got it?”
You and the other two nodded before the director rushed to his seat behind the camera and yelled, “Action!”
Once the camera’s started rolling, it was like a shift for you. No longer were you Y/n, you were your character, inside and out. As Brad’s character, Paul—safely—flung you across the room, Vinnie couldn’t help but feel a little pained. He knew you were acting but seeing it, it hurt him a little. Margot’s screams rang throughout the set as she banged against the door. “Don’t hurt her, Paul!” she cried.
Tossing you onto the floor, Brad stood over you menacingly. “You wanna screw me over, bitch!” He shouted, gripping the straps of your dress as he pulled out the fake pocketknife in his back pocket.
“Please don’t do this, I’ll do anything. Please,” You cried, gripping onto Brad’s wrist. “Don’t, Paul…don’t do this!”
Vinnie gulped back a sob as he watched the scene unfold with tears pricking the corners of his eyes. Why am I acting like this? He thought. This isn’t real. But it felt real, all too real. It no longer felt like he was on movie set, no cameras or crew. To him, you weren’t playing a character, you were still Y/n…and you were being hurt. He couldn’t take it; he wanted to intervene and save you…but he couldn’t…and that broke his heart.
Soon enough, the epic moment came, and Brad plunged the “knife” deep into your abdomen. You let out an ear-piercing scream, sending chills down everyone’s body. Your breathing hitched as blood poured from your partly opened lips. And then…your body went limp.
“CUT!”
And with that, you we’re back to Y/n. The director ran over to you and pulled you up off the floor. “That was fucking amazing, oh my god! I’ve never worked with anyone who could convey that much emotion before!”
“Thank you!” You blushed. The rest of your cast and crew members flocked around you, complimenting you on your incredible performance. However, as you looked around, you noticed a specific someone missing from the small crowd. As you humbly accepted everyone’s praise, you said your goodbyes and went to search for you boyfriend around the set. When you didn’t find him, you headed back to your trailer. Before you opened the door, you heard the sound of soft cries. With furrowed brows, you walked into the trailer and there was your boyfriend, crying into a pillow on your couch.
“Vinnie? What’s wrong?” You cooed as you sat next to him and rubbed circles on his back.
He shook his head, keeping quiet. “Vinnie, just tell me. I’m not gonna judge you or anything.” You said.
“All of that…I know it was fake and it was just acting, but it felt so real. Seeing you just…die, it hurt me, y’know? I don’t know if it’s because you’re fucking good at what you do or if it’s just boyfriend instincts but, seeing that and knowing I couldn’t do anything to stop it…it was painful.”
“Oh, Vinnie.” You sighed, wrapping your arms around him. “I’m still here, babe. I’m alive, okay? Nothing actually happened to me.”
He nodded into your chest. “I know, but it was too real. I just had to leave.”
“And I understand. Had I known you were planning on coming, I would’ve warned you ahead of time. I didn’t know seeing me acting out a death scene was going to leave you like this. I’m sorry.”
“Y/n, you have nothing to be sorry for. It’s just me being worried over you.”
You smiled, “Well, you have nothing to be worried about.” You placed a kiss on top of head and started to stroke his hair.
“I’m safe.”
“And a damn good actress.” Vinnie added.
“That too.”

My Heart - Robbie Jennings (2)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Robbie Jennings x Reader
Characters: Robbie Jennings
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon: “Heyy love can you write an imagine of Robbie Jennings, that he is super affectionate, but he is very popular, and some girls flirted a lot with him, and the reader couldn’t take it and it ended because the reader thought it was not enough for him, but he makes a surprise for them to come back, the rest you decide, thank you.”
Word Count: 782
Author: Hannah
Ever since Tom had spoken to you earlier that week you hadn’t stopped thinking about trying to fix things with Robbie, of course you’d wanted to fix things from the very second you’d ended it, but you kept telling yourself it was better for him.
You knew that Robbie had a gig that weekend with his band, it was in Brighton, and you had already promised him you’d go. Of course, you had no clue if he still wanted you there, after all it was your choice to end it, but after a text from Tom promising to pick you up you found yourself in the crowd.
For the first half of the set, you thought you’d gone unnoticed by Robbie, and you were half debating leaving early, but when Robbie started speaking to announce the next song your eyes caught his, and he smiled.
“Now, this next song is a special one and it’s dedicated to a special girl, the girl that I gave my heart to,” he spoke clearly into the microphone as he kept eye contact with you. “And I know she’s here tonight, somewhere, even though I convinced myself she wouldn’t be,” he chuckled nervously. “She’s never heard this song before, and neither have you lot, so I hope you enjoy.”
Robbie then started to sing a beautiful acoustic song, and as you listened to the lyrics you could tell it revolved around you – he sung about struggles together, about promises made, about hearts broken and about hearts repairing.
It all but brought you to tears as he stood up there, signing his heart out and as selfish as it sounded, you knew it was to you.
Once the song ended Robbie locked eyes with you and you saw unshed tears in his eyes also. He made a gesture for you two to talk outside, and so with his drummer announcing a quick intermission the two of you headed outside to the sea wall.
“So,” you broke the silence as the two of you stared out over the sea. “Were you trying to make me cry?” you quizzed, trying to lighten the situation.
Robbie chuckled but turned to look at you, the vulnerability clear across his face. “No,” he admitted. “I was trying to get you to see how much you mean to me, how much I love you.”
Your heart melted and you sighed. “Rob, you know I love you, much more than I ever thought I would,” you told him sincerely. “But there is that part of me that thinks you deserve more than me, better than me.”
He shook his head, leaning on the wall and looking at you sideways. “There is no better than you, not for me,” he stated with finality. “And there never will be.”
You sighed again, but this one a sigh of relief as you tried to let go of all those doubts in your head over the man standing before you – it was true he had never given you a reason to doubt or to worry, it was your own head that had made up those thoughts of not being good enough.
Robbie reached out to intertwine his fingers with yours. “Don’t go blaming yourself in this,” your eyes shot to meet his, confused as to how he could know what you were thinking, and he chuckled lightly. “I know your brain, and I know how it works.”
For a few more moments the two of you stood there in silence, looking out over the waves as your fingers stayed intertwined.
Eventually Robbie tugged your arm to tuck you into his side, your arms went around his waist as your head landed on his chest. His cologne hit you, the familiar smell of safety and of home, and you felt yourself beginning to shed those tears.
“Rob, how do I even begin to apologise?” you spoke through sniffles as Robbie tried to comfort you, pressing kisses to your hair, and rubbing your back.
“You don’t,” he spoke softly, looking down at you with fondness in his eyes. “There is nothing to apologise for, not in my books.”
You looked up at him in confusion, not knowing what to say but knowing you needed to apologise.
Robbie shook his head, a small smile on his face. “What I said was true y’know? You’re the girl that has my heart, the only girl.”
“And you Robbie Jennings, you’re the boy that has my heart,” tears glistened in your eyes as you spoke, but all Robbie did was smile.
He leant down to kiss you gently, and then his forehead rested against yours. “That’s the way it’ll stay love, you and me.”

Best of Marvel: Week of April 1st, 2019
Best of this Week: War of the Realms - Strikeforce: The Dark Realm #1 - Bryan Hill, Leinil Francis Yu, Gerry Alanguilan, Matt Hollingsworth and Joe Sabini
If I haven’t made it clear enough, I love stories of War.
I love seeing characters struggle with hard decisions or doing things that normally they wouldn't. I like the idea of burgeoning respect for others for their bravery or absolute assholish-ness in the face of grave opposition and this book is full of it.
While the main War of the Realms series offers a continuing story focused on everyone’s efforts to fight off Malekith’s forces, I like the more self contained and focused stories like this one and War Scrolls. Strikeforce, if that’s the name that they’re going for, is a team made up of darkness, anger and righteous vengeance as that’s what will be needed to venture into Svartalheim and destroy the Black Bifrost.
The book begins with Lady Freyja, Thor’s mother and arguably the wisest woman in all of Asgard, seeking counsel from an unknown individual on who would be best to take the fight to the Dark Elves. She needs those who are uncompromising and full of rage, able to fight fire with fire, so it comes as no surprise when the man that she’s speaking to turns out to be Frank Castle.
She makes it a point to note that while Captain America told her to approach him and while he doesn't like Frank, he respects him enough to know that Frank is the only man that can cross the line between heroism and villainy. She asks him to pick heroes to embody similar natures to his own and he selects Jen Walters “Hulk”, Ghost Rider and Blade because of their individual senses of justice, vengeance and anger.
Walters, taking the position of leader of the team and acting as the seasoned Avengers Vet, asks if she can trust them, calling a vote to join Freyja’s fight. They agree and she puts them through a mental test to show their darkness and see if they can overcome their fears. For Jen, it’s her primal nature now that she’s no longer the She-Hulk that she once was. Robbie has to overcome the Riders need for fear and vengeance. And Blade has to overcome himself, at least a version of himself that embraces the Vampire within and stops protecting humanity.
I will say that Yu's art in this book isn't his best, but it’s still great and absolutely serves its purpose. Everything is mostly dark and gritty. His line work is heavy and is complimented by Alanguilan's dark inks and Hollingsworth’s colors. The action scenes are sparse, but dynamic enough for you to feel the weight of the situation at hand. Frank is naturally grim while Freyja contrasts this with her normally hopefully nature as she's also clad in white, making them both stand out amongst the cast.
The group overcomes their fears and converge on Freyja, defeating her to prove their worth. We don’t learn much of Franks trial other than, he kills the rest of the team but feels bad about it afterwards. He and Freyja then have one of the most chilling conversations I have read, in a little while, away from the rest of the team.
Throughout the book, Lady Freyja comments to Frank that he would be a man welcome as a God in Asgard for his uncompromising nature, laser focus and sheer violent rage. She fears that whatever she does in this war will have a grave cost, maybe even with her becoming the monsters she so fears. We then see a vision of her appearing as the new leader of the Dark Elves in a cook, but unsettling scene. She asks Frank if he knows the feeling… and Frank does of course. He recalls a mission where he was saving a child, murdering through a mansion to save her life and as he looked in a mirror, he saw his blood covered visage and her cowering in fear and just decided that it was better to be the monster.
As long as he was a monster, but lives were still saved and the mission was accomplished, then it didn’t matter what the cost was and... Lady Freyja agreed. “I see why the others fear you, but you have the respect of Asgard.” She says before walking away. Frank has a way of getting into people's heads. He can inspire fear and terror, but I don’t think in all of my years I have seen him turn someone to his side. Hell, last week’s Daredevil saw him try it with Matt, before he was given Heimdall’s sword, and he told Frank to screw off, but seeing Lady Freyja acknowledge Frank’s harsh point of view for the greater good was poetic.

Death may be a revolving door for the X-Men, but that doesn't mean that things don't hurt when they lose another one of their own.
Runner Up: Uncanny X-Men #17 (Legacy #639) - Matthew Rosenberg, Carlos Gómez, Guru-eFX and Joe Caramagna
I've always had a penchant for the 90s X-Factor team. Multiple Man, Havok, Polaris, Strong Guy and especially Wolfsbane stand out as some of my favorites from that team, but sadly one of them is no more.
Rahne Sinclair has always had a bit of a messed up history; from having religion beat into her, causing her to hate herself and her powers, to losing best friends and lovers like Cypher, to being brainwashed and having one of her best friends murder her child, things haven't gone great for her. Recently, she had found some sort of peace with it all and decided to quit the superhero game altogether.
Scott let her go. Logan let her go. The entire rest of the current X-Men were happy to let her live a normal life and then she was murdered soon after. It came out of left field for everyone, including us readers.
Scott held a funeral service that the rest of the team attended, while Logan and a released Kwannon left to “mourn in their own way.” IE, finding the bastards who killed her and absolutely destroying them.
The contrast between these two ways of mourning is drastic and heartbreaking on both sides. Scott gives a melancholic speech, telling everyone that he's tired of losing friends and names off every “dead” mutant that he can. Logan and Kwannon, however find the guys that killed Rahne and Logan asks Kwannon to show him their memories.
After a lot of pushing, she shows Logan how they catcalled her and kept harassing her until she said no and bared her fangs. Thinking they were “tricked” by a “mutie”, they beat her to death. Suddenly a SWAT team enters the home and corners the pair and Logan goes on the attack.
As always, Logan and Scott are on opposite ends of their respective spectrums with Scott choosing the path of peace and Logan choosing the path of vengeance. It's hard to say which side is more righteous here. Scott promised something of change when he came back and allowed the X-Men to be democratic instead of having him as the leader and that possibly led to Rahne's death. Logan, of course may have cost The X-Men some good in the public eye as it's heavily implied that he and Kwannon murdered everyone in that house. But damn if he didn't get Rahne the justice she deserved.
Loganq returns home later to be yelled at by Scott, who tells him that he should have been at Rahne's funeral. Logan, also in a rage, brings up that Scott knew that Logan would do it and also brings up Blindfolds suicide and their own past schism when Scott tells him to leave the team. They get into a scuffle and Juggernaut stops them, telling them that they should be focused on Scott's list of enemies instead of each other and notes one BIG name missing that no one can seem to remember, I wonder what COLD BITCH that might be?
This issue really hit hard for me. While it doesn't bring up everything specifically, it does tie up her character arc in a bow made of razor blades. There are acknowledgements to her past, her times with X-Force, X-Factor and the New Mutants. It's shown how much she means to Scott as a sister and to Logan as another kid that he raised and couldn't save. Her best friends, Dani Moonstar and Magik reflected on their relationship with her and how kind of a soul she was and how she didn't deserve this. This end was as tragic as Rahne's life was and while she deserves the rest, I hope she does come back at some point.

Love Heals the Soul (Part 10) - The Concert (Jensen POV)
Tumblr media
Summary: The concert gets interesting…From Jensen’s POV
Masterlist
Pairing: Jensen x reader, Briana, Jared
Word Count: 1428
Warnings: Nervousness with being in front of people, fluff, minor swearing, nothing else, unless I missed something
A/N: Kind of nervous for this one. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to rewrite the last chapter from Jensen’s POV, but I wanted some of the parts, and didn’t want to put it in the next chapter topic...so here we are. Also, I should have lots of time to write this week!! I’m excited. :D Feedback is always welcome! Italicized are lyrics, POV thoughts or text conversations; you can tell by the context.
Jensen’s POV
Jared and I were sitting and hanging out in the green room during the concert, shooting the shit, having a drink; talking about the events of the day, lunch, the kiss and even dinner. I didn’t tell him about the scars that I saw on her arms during lunch. Even though Jared and I talked about everything, I couldn’t do that to Y/N, not until I knew she was comfortable talking to me first.
We saw Y/N walking over without Briana, and I watched as she took a seat in one of the chairs next to the couch Jared and I were on thinking to myself that there was more than enough room, a little sad that she didn’t share the space. As Y/N sat, Briana came over with a couple of drinks and handed one to her, “One whiskey coke, light on the coke,” she stated.
Y/N took a generous drink, like she was nervous about something, needed the alcohol to help relax her a little. Wow, whiskey coke, my kind of girl. I hope Y/N is ok though, she seems nervous, but she knows all of us back here. Would it be too much to go over and try to talk to her? I don’t want to add to the stress, if that’s the case.
“Earth to Jen…hellooo…”, Jared waved his hand in my face bringing me back to reality. “Yeah, I totally agree with that,” I said, hoping that was an acceptable answer. Jared chuckled, “Yeah buddy, whatever you say.” We couldn’t continue the conversation further since Rob announced my cue to go out on stage, still having no idea what I was singing tonight. “Well I guess that’s my cue, wish me luck,” chancing a wink towards Y/N, accidentally making her blush.
The crowd was insanely loud as I got to the stage, making it difficult to hear Rob as he came over to me. “Hey man, so how about a new song tonight?” Rob asked, almost nervous about I would say. Laughing, I nudged him on, “Sure Rob, whatchya thinking?”
“Do you know the song ‘Brother’, Needtobreathe, album version,” he asked. All I had to do was smile, telling him I knew the words. What a coincidence. There’s no way that Y/N would have been involved in this, Briana maybe, but I’m certainly not upset, it’s been in my head for the last two weeks.
I went and high fived Billy then started the introduction for the song. “What’s up Vancouver? We are going to be trying something new. I had heard this song before but just recently reintroduced to it by a friend of mine. It’s a great song that I know y’all will enjoy, one that also fits with the basis of our show.”
With that, the music stared playing and all I could think about was that night at the café, listening to Y/N sing this very song. It brought a huge smile to my face. What I would give to listen to her sing again. I started into the song, the words hitting home, thinking about Sam and Dean, and how much everything in the song spoke directly to the show.
As I was in the second chorus, the crowd started cheering, which is when I saw Briana coming out to help Rob with backup vocals. I gave her a smile and kept singing, only to realize a second later that Y/N was out there with her. I smiled and winked at her, since that’s all I could do while in the middle of singing, but dropped the line I was on, trying to recover as quickly as possible. We continued the song, noticing at one point that Y/N sang some of the vocals that Bri and Rob weren’t. She’s getting comfortable, that’s good! Suddenly excited by the thought.
The song came to a close, and I thanked everyone on stage, even giving Y/N a quick kiss on the cheek and a hug. We were filing off the stage when I heard Rob pull a classic move, “Hey Jensen, how about one more song?” eliciting more applause from the crowd, and giving me a half-cocked idea. God I hope Y/N doesn’t hate me for what I’m about to do. “Sure Robby, but only if I can have one of my new friends join me,” turning to Y/N hoping that I didn’t just scare her off.
After some convincing, I walked her over to Rob who was a little surprised, but after working countless conventions with us, he was pretty much used to anything that was thrown at him. “Hey Y/N! Singing with us tonight, huh?”
“Uhh, yeah, I guess I am, which I totally wasn’t expecting so I’m kind of freaking out here,” she started rambling, I didn’t want her to hate what was about to happen and thankfully Rob stepped in, “Well, that being the case, we can play anything that you’re comfortable singing, sound good?” She smiled timidly, thinking for a quick second, “’Have a Little Faith in Me’, Briana’s cover, is that ok?” I looked to Rob in agreement and he pulled Jason out to help.
The music was starting and I could tell she was having a hard time keeping it together. I gently pulled her to me,  “Y/N, just look at me, forget everyone else; It’s just us and the music, and you can hold my hand the entire time if you want to,” getting a small nod out of her.
The first verse was nearing its end and I had to make sure she was still with me, so I gently squeezed her hand. She smiled, and started singing, surprising me and probably everyone in the room. Her voice was that of an angel, scared, but so sweet. I could tell the longer she was up there the more comfortable she was getting, more power coming out behind the words. I can’t help but wonder if this song means a little more than everyone sees?
Y/N and I sang in perfect sync with each other, something that can sometimes be difficult when two people have never performed together; but she was good. I could listen to her for hours, and wished that I got the chance sometime. The song was ending, Y/N finishing the last line and the crowd went absolutely wild, I’ve never seen them go this crazy for any one of us cast members; there was something special about Y/N, and I loved seeing that energy around her.
A tear slipped down Y/N’s cheek, but she wasn’t sad, she was smiling, I’m sure the emotions were overwhelming her. I reached up and wiped it away, needing to hug her, which she welcomed. I spoke quietly in her ear, a miracle she heard it over the noise, “That was perfect. You were perfect, and I am so proud of you…and I’m sorry for this…” I pulled back and touched her cheek softly, placing a gentle kiss on her lips. It was only a couple of small kisses; I didn’t want to over do it in front of so many people. When I pulled away, I was nervous. Oh God, this is it. She hates me. I shouldn’t have crossed that line, not in front of all of these people… She spoke, almost cutting off my thoughts, “You’re forgiven,” with the biggest smile I have seen on her face all weekend, the kind of smile that was showing in her eyes as well.
I took her hand and we go backstage and she no sooner bolts over to Briana and engulfs her in a hug. I couldn’t do anything but stand there and relish in the sight. Jared came over to give his job well done bit, “Dude, that was amazing, both songs, but especially the second. I would have never have guessed Y/N to go from corner café stage to a room full of screaming fans in two weeks. She must really like you,” he quipped, giving me a pat on the back. I laughed, when I saw Y/N turn towards me, she started walking over, only to get stopped by Jared. I couldn’t quite hear what was exchanged, but it looked comforting to her, which I’m sure she needed right now.
When she reached me, I slid my arm around here waist, “What do you say we get out of her, go get you that drink you said you’d let me buy?”
“I say that sounds like an excellent idea,” Y/N responded, her beautiful smile still on her face.

Fire & Ice
A probably not highly anticipated part 2 to She Waits. I totally did not intend for it to have a second part, but then I joined another challenge and the host graciously agreed to it. So if you’re interested, here is some more disgusting fluff. Taylor, @impalaimagining, this is for you, love and your Sing It Supernatural Challenge. Thank you for all your love and support! My prompt is in italics.
Pairing: Rob Benedict x Reader
Word Count: 2192
Warnings: Rob singing, pregnancy, birth (not graphic), Rob singing
Thank you to all who indulge my Rob Crisis as is reaches critical mass. I mostly blame @iwantthedean and @d-s-winchester, as they are horrible, amazing influences and I love them. Also, to my beta, @just-another-busy-fangirl, I love you!

Rob slipped quietly through the door to your rented condo in Vancouver. He knew you had been tired lately, being six months pregnant and all, and he didn’t want to risk waking you. It had been a long night on set and the director hadn’t called a wrap until almost two in the morning.
He removed his shoes and tossed his jacket over one of the kitchen stools before grabbing a bottle of water and shuffling his tired feet and body down the hall. He ensured the bathroom door was shut before he turned the light on and set to getting ready for bed. After a quick shower, he brushed his teeth. He flipped the lights off and tiptoed into the bedroom.
Rob reached his way along the wall to his dresser and grabbed a pair of boxers and pulled them on. He eased his way to the bed and gently pulled back the comforter.
“Rob?” your voice was raspy from sleep.
“Hey, Honey, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you,” Rob whispered.
“S’okay, baby woke me up anyway; hafta pee,” you groaned as you eased your swollen body from the mattress and rushed the bathroom. You quickly finished your business and returned to the bedroom, greeting Rob with a kiss.”Hmmm minty. How was your day, Babe?”
“It was good. Long, but good. Only one episode left,” Rob welcomed you back into bed with open arms.
“I missed you, Baby,” you snuggled into his side. “Only a couple weeks left and we will be on our way home. I can’t wait to get the nursery finished so we can be ready for this little wiggle worm.”
“I can’t wait to meet our baby, Y/N. I love you,” Rob murmured into your hair.
“I love you, Robby,” you whispered before drifting back to sleep.
~*~
“Honey, are you ready?” Rob called through the apartment.
“I will be in just about three minutes,” you responded strolling out into the living area. “Can you zip me please?”
“Honey, you look absolutely exquisite,” Rob breathed out, his cerulean orbs roaming your figure in the dress you had found on a recent shopping trip.
“Thank you, Robby. I am just glad it fits, for now,” you joked. “I am getting bigger and bigger every day. Pretty soon, I will only be able to fit into sweats!”
“It doesn’t matter what you wear, you will always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me,” Rob said. “And you’re all mine.”
“Okay, you sap, we are going to be late if you don’t zip me up,” you joked, turning around and gesturing to your back.
“I don’t care. I just want you all to myself,” Rob murmured, as his fingers slowly caressed your spine, taking his time.
“I promise you I am all yours tomorrow, but tonight,” you sighed. “Tonight we have a wrap party to attend and you are the emcee and entertainment.”
“I am going to hold you to that promise, Y/N,” Rob relented and zipped your dress with a heavy exaggerated breath.
“You know, you look pretty damn good in that suit, Babe,” you teased, getting an eyeroll in response.
The bar had just started to fill up and it looked like you and Rob arrived just in time. Jensen and Jared greeted you at the door.
“Y/N, you look beautiful, too good for Rob. Run away with me?” Jared teased.
“I am sure Gen would not be okay with that. Control yourself, MIster!” you joked just as easily with him. You loved this family with everything you had and knew your life wouldn’t be the same without them. Throughout all the struggles of the past few years, before, during and after Rob’s stroke and thinking you might lose him, they had all been there for you, through thick and thin.
“Jare, get off the pretty lady! Hey, Sunshine, how is my favorite niece doing?” Jensen hugged you and instinctively rubbed a large hand over your belly.
“Jen, we don’t know if it is a girl or boy, so don’t get too excited just yet. You’ll have to wait a few more months, just like us,” you told him.
“Yeah, well I can hope! And we have receipts for everything!” Jensen blurted out as he took your hand and led you to a table reserved for you. “What can I get you?”
“Just some water with a lemon, please,” you eased yourself into the chair and noticed Rob in the corner talking with Bob Singer and Jim Michaels, figuring it was most likely about the episodes they had just filmed.
“Hey, Honey, you comfortable?” Rob crouched down in front of you.
“Yeah, I’m good, let’s go mingle with everyone before you are stuck on entertainment duty,” you proposed and Rob helped you to your feet, one hand on the small of your back as you walked around, talking to all of your friends and family.
“So how many weeks left, Y/N?” Brianna asked excitedly.
“Just about ten. It feels like just yesterday when I found out,” you marveled.
“I know! It feels like it goes by in the blink of an eye, but lasts forever at the same time!” she exclaimed, hugging you tightly.
“Hey, where’d my husband go?” you wondered aloud as the music started. Brianna just pointed toward the stage where Rob and Rich had taken up their post.
“Ladies and germs! Thank you all for coming tonight. We have some people who wanna say some stuff, so please, pretend to listen and be interested, and blabbity blah, yada yada yada,” Rich joked and passed off his mic to the show runners.
Jokes were made, insults tossed back and forth, but it was all in good fun and camaraderie; the cast and crew were notorious for it and it was what made them all family. They had another great season under their belts.
“Robby?” Rich called out.
“Yeah, Rich?” Rob answered.
“So you guys gonna play something for these nice people? And Jared and Jensen?” Laughter broke out among the party, Jared and Jensen feigning offense.
“We were thinking about it, why, you gonna join us?” Rob asked. “And ah, Jensen Ackles, get your ass up here, too.”
Applause rang out as Jensen jumped on stage, Rich handing him a microphone. The opening notes of ‘Whipping Post’ started and Jensen was flawless. More and more guests joined the stage singing a variety of songs, just like a Saturday Night Special concert.
You alternated between sitting and standing, singing along and carrying on conversations with everybody. The baby would start kicking furiously whenever Rob was singing and it made your heart happy to know that your baby loved Daddy’s voice as much as you did. You had just returned to your seat and slipped off your shoes when you heard your name.
“Y/N, Honey, I know this isn’t the most romantic way to spend our first anniversary, but I don’t think we would be here today if it wasn’t for the love and support of some of the people in this room,” Rob looked off the side and then you saw Gil walk out on stage, followed by Jensen, Brianna, Kim, Ruth and Mark took up his post on the drums. “Surrounded by our friends and family, I vow to you, Y/N, to love you more each day and never to look back, as you are my future.”
You smiled sweetly, not believing what a sap he had turned into. “I love you, Robby!” you yelled to him as a familiar pair of arms encircled your waist and a loud kiss was placed on your cheek.
“Nic! What are you doing here?” you squealed as you hugged her.
“Well, we were coming just to help you move, but Gil couldn’t pass up an opportunity to sing with the boys, so here we are,” she shrugged.
The music started again and you both turned back to the stage, giving your husbands and friends your attention as a old country tune filled the room. This was different than they normally played, but you didn’t care. Rob singing was what you enjoyed most and it didn’t matter if he sang commercial jingles.
“This song is dedicated to my beautiful wife. She is everything I could want and more. Happy anniversary, Honey,” Rob announced.
She’s sun and rain, she’s fire and ice
A little crazy but it’s nice
And when she gets mad, you best leave her alone
‘Cause she’ll rage just like a river
Then she’ll beg you to forgive her
She’s every woman that I’ve ever known
She’s so New York and then L.A.
And every town along the way
She’s every place that I’ve never been
She’s makin love on rainy nights
She’s a stroll through Christmas lights
And she’s everything I want to do again
You and Nicole swayed to the music, not caring anymore that you had taken your shoes off or that your feet still ached. A warmth surrounded you as Rob sang, the group harmonizing perfectly behind him. You watched him as he left the stage and knelt before you.
She’s anything but typical
She’s so unpredictable
Oh but even at her worst it ain’t that bad
She’s as real as real can be
And she’s every fantasy
The song finished, but you couldn’t hear anything. Your attention was on your husband as he wrapped his arms tight around your middle, placing soft kisses to your baby bump. He looked up at you with tears shining in those blue eyes you loved so much.
“You and this baby are all I could ever want. Thank you for being patient and loving me. I don’t know where I would be without you,” Rob confessed and kissed you soundly as everyone clapped, wishing you a happy anniversary.
“You’ll never have to find out,” you promised.
~*~
“Rob!” you yelled from the bathroom one dark and stormy night. A rare thunderstorm had rolled through Los Angeles County and although you loved a good storm, this one had woken you up only to discover that your water had broken.
“What flavor?” Rob mumbled from the bed, still half asleep.
“Rob, Babe, I need you to get up and get dressed right now. My water broke,” you told him, gathering a change of clothes from the bedroom.
“Okay, I’m ready! Let’s get to the hospital!” Rob jumped out of bed and put his shoes on.
“Babe? Uh, you probably are going to want a shirt…and some pants,” you observed as he stood before you in nothing but his boxers and a pair of sneakers.
“Oh, yeah, right. Pants,” Rob babbled as he ran around your bedroom, looking for said pants, settling for a used pair from the hamper.
“Baby bag, check. Mama bag, check. Pants and shirt, check,” Rob recited his list of go items, as he ran down the stairs of your two story home to the door to the garage, slamming it behind him. The door opened and slammed again, and you heard him as he bounded back up the stairs. “Pregnant wife, check.”
“I was wondering if you were coming back for me!” you laughed as he helped you down the stairs, out the door and into the car. Your breathing exercises were not exactly helping, but as you glanced in the back to the brand new car seat he had installed the day before, worry set on your face. “Rob, what if we are horrible parents?” you blurted out as the panic started to set in. You and Rob hadn’t had the smoothest of roads and you worried if you had rushed into the parenting thing.
“Honey, as long as we have each other, that is all that matters, remember? We made it through together and we will make it through this, too,” Rob assured you, his hand rubbing soothingly up and down your arm. He started singing as he drove, knowing that always helped calm you.
~*~
You woke to the sun as it shone through your window, blinking in the brightness. Your arms stretched over your head and you noticed a dull ache in your midsection. The events of the night rushed back to you as your eyes opened wide to take in your husband singing softly, gazing lovingly at the pink bundle in his arms. You listened, content at the sight before you.
“You know, she still needs a name,” you pointed out and his eyes met yours.
“Hey baby girl. Your mama is awake,” Rob cooed gently as he rose, shifting your daughter into your arms. You had marveled over this little wonder for months and she was finally here.
“I was thinking about, too, and may have an idea,” Rob volunteered. “How do you feel about Rowan?”
“I love it, Rob. Welcome to the world, Rowan Elizabeth Benedict. Your Uncle Jensen is going to be so pleased to meet you,” you whispered. Rob reached over and wiped away your silent tears before he kissed the top of your daughter’s head. “She’s beautiful.”
“Just like her mother,” Rob agreed.

For the week of 11 September 2017
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just one favourite this week: Ninjak #0 by Matt Kindt and Francis Portela (with MJ Kim, Khari Evans, Roberto de la Torre, Sija Hong, and Juan José Ryp). Published by Valiant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ninjak #0 provides a capstone to Matt Kindt’s run with the character, giving both an encapsulation of Ninjak’s history to date and one final mission to propel the series further into a more in-depth exploration into the Ninja Programme and legacy, before handing the character off to Christos Gage and Tomás Giorello for their new Ninja-K series.
I very much like how Kindt plays with time in this story. After firing an arrow on the first page in the present, the book’s pages are bisected by that arrow’s path, with the top telling of the events immediately leading up to that first page--illustrated by Francis Portela--and the bottom offering snippet’s of Ninjak’s history--illustrated by MJ Kim, Khari Evans, Roberto de la Torre, Sija Hong, and Juan José Ryp. (You can see an example above). It’s an interesting and effective way of delivering a lot of simultaneous information and narrative at once and I was particularly impressed by everyone involved.
As time on the top converges with the arrow, the structure reverts to a standard one timeframe narrative as it leads into a teaser for the new Ninja-K series from Gage and Giorello.
Like with the previous recent zero issue offerings for Bloodshot Reborn and Divinity, this serves as an excellent primer for people interested in the character and in jumping into the Valiant Universe.
Quick Bits:
All New Wolverine #24 wraps up the “Hive” arc guest-starring the Guardians of the Galaxy and Leonard Kirk’s tenure as artist on the series. This arc was fun, with Tom Taylor delivering some very nice and heartfelt interactions between Laura and Gabby, as well as continuing to present some strong characterization with Rocket and Groot.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amazing Spider-Man #32 is a single issue story of Norman Osborn trying to reclaim his Green Goblin persona. It’s an interesting look into Osborn’s drive and potential, with some absolutely beautiful artwork form Greg Smallwood & Jordie Bellaire.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Birthright #26 provides a jumping on point as it begins a new story-arc. It’s fairly exposition heavy, but Joshua Williamson still makes it feel interesting, even to old readers since there’s a bit of a shift since the last issue. As always Andrei Bressan’s art is beautiful.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deadpool #36 is a transitional issue from Deadpool working for “Stevil” Hydra Cap and the forthcoming Despicable Deadpool, closing out some old plot threads and sending off the remaining supporting characters, while setting up Wade’s new status quo of reluctantly working for Stryfe. As usual Gerry Duggan mixes in humour while ultimately making Deadpool a tragic figure.

Doctor Strange & The Sorcerers Supreme #12 is a fitting send-off to a series that still feels gone to soon. From Javier Rodriguez to this issue’s Nathan Stockman, the series has been great artistically, and this issue’s sideways widescreen format is well appreciated. Robbie Thompson also brings it back full circle to how this excursion started in last year’s Doctor Strange Annual by closing on the “Not So” Ancient One’s journey.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grass Kings #7 is still an inscrutable beauty. Part crime drama, part mystery, part family drama, part treatise on loyalty and community in an extremely independent society, Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins have something special here. This issue adds another layer to the problems that they’ve been having with Cargill, while more explicitly breaking open the mystery of a potential serial killer and giving us some more details on what happened in Bruce’s past that led him to coming home to the Grass Kingdom.

Gwenpool, The Unbelievable #20 is going to mess with your head. In a good way.
| Published by Marvel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hulk #10 brings Mariko Tamaki’s second story-arc to a conclusion. I can’t say I enjoyed it as much as I did the first, but there have still been some entertaining moments. The character interaction between Jen and Patsy being particularly strong.
Also, like the previous issue, the art shift part way through detracts. Both artists, Julian Lopez and Francesco Gaston, are good, but their styles kind of clash. Lopez uses a thick line and somewhat realistic style similar to Jesus Saiz, whereas Gaston has a thinner line and a bit more angular, stylized character composition--much like Georges Duarte, who started this arc.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kill or Be Killed #12 pushes Dylan further into darkness, even without his little demon friends whispering not-so-sweet nothings into his ears. As always, Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips are creating a compelling, nuanced story month in and month out. There’s also some good development in Dylan and Kira’s relationship, but, as per the original dissolution, I’m expecting the other shoe to drop sometime soon.

Mech Cadet Yu #2 brings Yu and his adopted Robo back to the Sky Academy, where he’s officially accepted as one of the cadets. The story beats are pretty standard coming of age, living through adversity by being a fish out of water, ruffling the feathers of the establishment-type thing, but Greg Pak never allows it to feel old. Yu and his Robo are just too likeable characters to not enjoy seeing their advancement and acceptance. It also helps that Takeshi Miyazawa’s artwork is wonderful.
Despite not being published under one of their more all-ages imprints like Boom! Box or kaboom!, this series remains something that I think that kids would get a lot of enjoyment out of as well.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Old Man Logan #28 is a work of art. I don’t know who made a pact with the devil in order to consistently get this level of artwork out of Mike Deodato Jr., but whatever they did since at least the Jeff Lemire Thanos series, Deodato has been producing some of the most beautiful, thoughtful, and compelling work of his career. He’s been a great artist for more than twenty-five years in the industry, but his work lately has been absolutely next level. His shading, page layouts, character designs & staging, and panel transitions are practically a masterclass on the art form.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pestilence #4 unveils some secrets as we head towards the conclusion. This has been a fairly bloody and brutal tale of knights vs. zombies from Frank Tieri and Oleg Okenev and it’s not letting up. It delivers a nice satisfying crunch.
| Published by Aftershock
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Redlands #2 jumps the series ahead to modern day, fleshing out the sisters’ characters and the world that they live in, having pretty much taken over Redlands, Florida following the bloodbath back in ‘77. We’re still left a lot of details out, but we’re given a better look at some of the things going on, as a game of murderous cat and mouse between the sisters and an unknown potential blackmailer unfolds. Jordie Bellaire and Vanessa Del Rey are creating something interesting here and I’m definitely hooked to see what happens next.

Retcon #1 is...something, I’m not really sure what. Interesting, though, certainly, and something I’ll continue to read for a bit. Ostensibly this is about a team of supernatural beings working for the government, but the interview in the back and the title suggest something else. If anything, the artwork from Toby Cypress is worth the price of admission alone. Still not sure what to think of the story.

Sacred Creatures #3 again challenges me to decide whether or not I like Pablo Raimondi’s mix of traditional comics art with photography. I’m leaning towards yes.
| Published by Image
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Secret Warriors #6 kicks off a two-part arc with the members of the Warriors back on their own. The bulk of the issue is devoted to Daisy tracking down who murdered Coulson and it leads to some humorous exchanges. Who would have known that life model decoys are anatomically correct?
| Published by Marvel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spy Seal #2 feels even more like a European funny animal book than the first issue. To me it feels like Rich Tommaso is doing a take on something like Tin Tin, but with an anthropomorphic seal, and it’s just wonderful.
| Published by Image
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transformers: Lost Light #9 gives a kind of closure, or at least a transition, to the Natuica/Velocity/Skids character and story arcs. It’s kind of bittersweet when you consider the implications and I expect that James Roberts will undoubtedly revisit this somewhere in the future. Also, the reveal of who the “Grand Architect” is at the end of this issue is pretty epic.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Uncanny Avengers #27 is a pretty straight-forward conclusion to the team’s confrontation with Graviton. It’s mostly action, but there are some character moments cementing that this team can still work together fairly effectively. The artwork from Sean Izaakse again is very nice.

Dave the laugh #2
Tumblr media
“Hi Y/N have you seen Robbie?!” Dave asked the younger girl grabbing her arm before she got lost in the sea of energetic students.  “No why?” The y/h/c girl asked her head tilt in confusion “Didn’t you just have class with him?” the girl added readjusting her photography folder slipping out of her grasp. “Eh never mind thanks anyway.” the boy nodded in appreciation.
“Actually Dave I did have something to ask you!” Y/N mumbled feeling heat rush to her cheeks. “Are you going to the Stiff Dylans concert this weekend? Shuffling her feet, the youngest Jennings mentally congratulated herself for looking like a prize idiot. “Oh yeah, in fact I asked Georgia to go with me” Dave announced happily, completely oblivious to the shorter girl's heart shattering into a thousand pieces. “Georgia?” Y/N replied dumbly, of course she knew who Georgia was. They'd in fact met once or twice through Tom’s girlfriend Jas. “Yeah? Georgia Nicolson. I think you have PE together.” Dave stated running a hand through his permanently disheveled hair. “I’ll see you there though right?” Dave nudged the girl playfully frowning that the action didn’t evict the usual giggle it did. “Um yeah I guess so…” the y/h/c girl muttered before scurrying away leaving the perplexed boy behind.
“What was that about?” Robbie asked, slamming a hand on his friend's shoulder as the pair watched his sister get swallowed by the crowd. Shrugging his shoulders Dave shook his head “I have no idea.”

My Heart - Robbie Jennings (1)

Pairing: Robbie Jennings x Reader
Characters: Robbie Jennings, Tom Jennings

Request: Anon: “Heyy love can you write an imagine of Robbie Jennings, that he is super affectionate, but he is very popular and some girls flirted a lot with him and the reader couldn’t take it and it ended because the reader thought it was not enough for him, but he makes a surprise for them to come back, the rest you decide, thank you.”

Author: Hannah
School was often brutal, sometimes you liked being there and other times it was the last place you wanted to be, but that’s the same for every teenager, surely.
The only downside to your school day most of the time is that Robbie had no shortage of admirers, of course you couldn’t blame them, but it did get grating.
Robbie had never given you a reason to doubt him or not to trust him; the two of you had been together for a little under a year, and in that time he had been the most amazing boyfriend to you, a part of you truly felt you’d found your person but then the other part of you still had worries.
You saw the looks the other girls gave you at school as you walked down the corridor holding Robbie’s hand, the looks they’d give you if they saw you helping at his Mum’s store, the looks you’d get if they saw you two out on a date together – they were endless, and always judging.
The rational part of you knew that you should have said something to Robbie about it all, but it always felt so petty to complain about some looks you got from a few girls.
In the end, your doubts got the better of you, and your heart hurt at the heartbroken look on Robbie’s face as you spoke to him by the sea.
“But I thought we were good? We’re happy?” he questioned you, sounding both hurt and confused.
You sighed, crossing your arms in an attempt to shield yourself. “We are Rob, but I don’t think I’m enough,” you admitted to him. “Those girls at school, the ones that are your age, they’re much more suited to you than I am, they can do a lot better than I can.”
Robbie was shaking his head as he paced on the beach. “Why can’t we talk about this? Why can’t we work through it?”
You sighed again, deciding to walk over to him in an attempt to stop the pacing. He stopped as soon as you were in front of him, his hands going to your waist and his forehead resting on yours.
“Please Y/N,” he pleaded with you. “Those girls at school, they have nothing on you, you are it for me,” he rambled as he kept his forehead against yours. “Remember all those plans we made? Moving to Brighton after we finish, going to college there, getting our own place,” your heart hurt more as he reminded you of everything you’d promised each other.
It took a lot for you to leave Robbie on the beach that day, but the whole way home you told yourself that it was for the best, and he’d be better off.
That’s what you told yourself for the next two weeks. Robbie wasn’t himself at school, that much you knew, and neither were you – it was hard to see him walking down the corridor looking so hurt but trying to smile for his friends, it hurt to see him in general if you were being honest with yourself.
Even Tom had tried to come and speak with you at lunch, trying to convince you to speak with Robbie.
“Come on Y/N,” Tom begged you as he walked alongside you in the corridor. “Rob doesn’t know what to do with himself, he’s a wreck.”
“What do you want me to say Tom?” you sighed as you spoke, shifting your bag back onto your shoulder. “That I hate that I’ve done this to him? That I can’t stand how heartbroken he looks? That I wish I could fix whatever I’m feeling?”
Tom chuckled but ultimately nodded causing you to roll your eyes.
“It’s not that simple Tom, I can’t change how they look at him, I can’t change how it makes me feel, and I don’t want to be a burden on him.”
It was Tom’s turn to roll his eyes, as he then caught your arm before you went to storm away. “Look, come to his gig this Saturday, he’d want you there.”

It was never nice to have an argument with someone, it was uncomfortable, and it didn’t always end in the best way. You hated any form of confrontation with anyone, but it was no secret that you and your sister Georgia often bickered.
The two of you got on as well as could be expected, you had gotten closer as you’d both gotten older but the two of you still got annoyed with each other – sharing a room recently hadn’t helped, your room was being redone and so you were sharing with your sister, but Georgia had taken it upon herself to go through your things and she had broken an ornament that Robbie had had made for you.
Naturally you were upset but it annoyed you even more when Georgia denied it, she claimed she never even touched your ornament which escalated the situation, but you’d stormed out before you said something you’d regret.
Once you’d reached the sea front you realised you should probably give Robbie a call to let him know where you were in case, he went to your house.
“Hey baby,” Robbie’s voice came through the phone when he answered.
“Hey,” you breathed out as you leant on the railing of the pier. “I’m at the pier Rob.”
“Baby it’s freezing,” he told you and you could hear him moving about his room. “Stay there, I’m coming to get you.”
He hung up on you after telling you he loved you and you knew it wouldn’t be long until he appeared.
About fifteen minutes passed before you heard Robbie call out to you, you turned around to see him walking towards you all bundled up because of the cold.
He pulled you into a hug as soon as he reached you, rubbing his hands up and down your arms as he somehow knew you were cold.
“What happened?” he questioned once he pulled away, taking your hand and intertwining your fingers to lead you back to the shop.
You sighed. “You know how me, and Georgia have been sharing a room?” he nodded. “Well, she had been going through my things on my desk and as she did, she knocked off the ornament that you had made for me last year.”
Robbie nodded again, he remembered the ornament of course, he had gotten it made for your 2nd anniversary – it was an engraving of a photo of the two of you fixed onto a stand and you had loved it from the minute you’d opened it.
“When I asked her if she’d touched it, she said no, but it was obvious it was her because it could only have been broken by someone moving it – it was in the middle of the desk for Christ’s sake.”
Robbie moved so that his arm was around your shoulder, effectively pulling you closer. “I’m sure she didn’t do it on purpose baby,” he tried to reassure you. “And we can get you another one made; it can be replaced.”
You nodded but sighed as you did so. “It’s not even that she broke it Rob, I understand it was probably an accident,” you admitted. “It’s that she completely denied it, and then made me feel bad for being upset.”
Sighing also, Robbie steered you into the shop when you both got there and quickly took you upstairs.
Once you were sat on his bed, he wrapped you up in one of his hoodies and then sat down next to you. “I just knew if I stayed arguing with her, I’d upset her by saying something bad.”
Robbie nodded in understanding as he shot off a text on his phone. “Well as far as Mum is concerned, you’re staying the night,” he told you as he pulled you to sit in his lap. “So how about we get that new ornament ordered, yeah?”
