I love wilderness and National park based horror, but man it’s made me a jumpy hiker lol I live in an area now where you should carry bear spray if you’re really getting up into the mountains, plus there’s smaller predators as well as larger hooved animals that could pose a threat coming down the mountain. I get lured off trail by bird flocks and shiny rocks, too…….so I have to be extra careful. Anyways, here’s a giant blue crystalline rock I found literally in the wall of the trail that photographed insanely well!!
Can anyone help me identify it?? I can DM location to anyone who’s more experienced at rockhounding. It was way too big to excavate, I wish I had a chisel on me to collect a sample but even the thought of that hurts me because it was just so gorgeous
Went to the thrift store recently, so I always get some rocks from the parking lot of that specific location. There’s a lot of stripey wish stones, especially since it was hard to see much else with the dry weather, so those were the ones that caught my eye the most.
I'm joining a DnD game and decided to use my previous PC's boyfriend for this game. His name is Golding but he goes by Au. He's a geologist and archaeologist who loves rock hounding and learning. He's going to be a Cleric of the order.
The setting of the game is exploring monoliths that popped up and venturing to see what they are about and what's happening etc. So he's using this to write his PhD and graduate 😂. I think it's a good idea.
I threw his bf in as well for reference, his name is Jim Stone. They are both earth Genasi. Jim is classified as chaotic evil and Au is lawful good.
