Rogue Trader - Heinrix romance - Corruption points and act 4 romance
There are some dialog options in the game, that will add points to a corruption counter - with 3 points, Heinrix will leave the inquisition at the end and give the true love achievement.
The dialog options are not tied to a conviction so you don't have to play iconoclast and you don't have to go with a certain Rykad Minoris decision etc. but if you go too heretical he will eventually leave you.
In this case, you will have this additional dialog in the freeze scene of his romance:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Afterwards you can speak with him on the bridge about him leaving the inquisition (fully voiced too).
The relevant dialog options are (help from reddit user yellowfish28 here):
Act 2 - Janus ("Why must your concern for me be wrapped up in layers of rebukes and recriminations")
Act 2 - Black Ship ("You do not always have to appear invincible. Especially around me") -> you only have the dialog in act 2!
Act 3 - when you meet him in the pit where he rests ("They mutilated and maimed you purely because of what you are" or "It pains me even to listen to you. I cannot imagine the agony you suffered")
Act 4 - Date - it requires already 2 corruption points to be avilable ("We have one life. I don't want to give all of mine to the Imperium with nothing left for myself. Do you? Do you actually want it?")
To use toybox to check/change the values manually (on PC) you can find an explanation here.
Here is the full video for the freeze scene:

void shadows dlc spoilers under the cut
you know what… i think im gonna go ahead and hc that lazarus and einrich had a situationship going on before act 3 after all
both because their relationship is very interesting to me, and during earlier acts einrich is one of the three people (alongside idira and vigdis) that laz is genuinely fond of
but also bc damn. the rogue trader will see a xenos who wants him dead and go “i can’t not fuck that”. abelard is in shambles.

Marazhai romance playthrough 21/?
Start of chapter 4.
BACK HOME!! Marazhai is subtly tense! (and unimpressed). All things considered, my companions barely reacted to him.

Part of me is genuinely wondering if I could end their romance at this point.... Or like maybe get heinrix to decide that he doesn't want to stay on the ship with Malakai! So many beautiful divorce stories dancing in my head....
Just got to kibellah's trial for killing forius where it's revealed he tortured people and Malakai reacted by saying he deserved to die for what he did and that they refuse to punish kibellah for that all in direct range of heinrix who is both a torturer and their lover which definitely won't cause any problems at all. Heart.

Have you done a post about harshness/mercy for heinrix/where to find those modifiers in toybox?
No, I haven't. But since you are asking, I actually did now.
That is going to be a long post....spoilers obviously, all acts + endings.
Summary:
His act 2 quest in Kiava Gamma affects the etudes InterrogatorQuestGoodOutcome and InterrogatorQuestEvilOutcome - both affect his act 4 quest and the endings.
His act 4 quest has him acting differently depending on these etudes and sets / unlocks doubtful/stoic Heinrix flags- these can affect the ending too.
Here the toybox screenshots
Look under Etudes or Search'n Pick + Etudes and for "InterrogatorQuest" to get both Etudes. Romance can be started under Etudes too - etude name is just Heinrix (two entries).
Tumblr media
Look under Search'n Pick + Flags and for "Heinrix" to see his DoubtfulHeinrix and StoicHeinrix flags.
Tumblr media
Long story:
Harsh/mercy counter -> InterrogatorQuestGood/EvilOutcome
So far I noticed the Harsh/Mercy counters for Heinrix first quest on Kiava Gamma. When you speak with the Techpriest and when you encounter the mutants your dialog options set the harsh/mercy counter for Heinrix. This affects his response - if you have a higher harsh counter and then ask him for mercy/iconoclast he might not follow your request...
Here the tech priest dialog option:
Tumblr media
Here for the mutants (it also checks the current value for the flags):
Tumblr media
And here the effect of the flags if interacting with the cogitator:
Tumblr media
Here in toybox it looks like the iconoclast option triggers the InterrogatorQuestEvilOutcome. But: I tried it and took it and still I got the good outcome. So you can take it.
The outcome will set the Etudes InterrogatorQuestGoodOutcome and InterrogatorQuestEvilOutcome which affect his endings (-> depending on other conditions - if he is romanced and leave the inquisition it seems it doesn’t have an effect).
2. Doubtful/stoic Heinrix Flags
There are also the two doubtful/stoic Heinrix flags. They are set in his act 4 quest (Emelina) depending on your choice. His responses here are also affected by the InterrogatorQuestEvil/GoodOutcome Etudes.
Depending on your dialog choice (Emelina asks you what you would have done) you will unlock doubtful or stoic flag:
Tumblr media
His dialog is also different depending on the InterrogatorQuestGoodOutcome or InterrogatorQuestEvilOutcome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the InterrogatorQuestGoodOutcome he will kill Emelina (directly)
Tumblr media
in InterrogatorQuestEvilOutcome he will keep her alive to interrogate her and to extract information.
Tumblr media
3. Endings in different combinations
I used my run (iconoclast/sided with Xavier but he gets killed in the epilog) and played around with the values. Here are the endings if non romanced:
Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestGoodEnding + Doubtful flag (unlocked):
Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestEvilEnding + Doubtful flag (unlocked):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestGoodEnding + Stoic (unlocked):
Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestEvilEnding + Stoic (unlocked):
Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestGoodEnding - no doubtful/stoic
- > same as stoic
Tumblr media
InterrogatorQuestEvilEnding - no doubtful/stoic
-> same as stoic
Tumblr media
Romanced
If he stays with RT:
No difference found between interrogator evil/good outcome or stoic/doubtful points if he stays with you (requires min. 3 corruption points -> starts etude Heresy). There is also an ending where he is not Master of Whispers - not clear yet how it is triggered.
Tumblr media
If he remains with the Inquisition:
You get the romance slide that you have a long distance relationship until you both die and additionally the ending slides for what he does while he is in the inquisition (depending on the flags/etudes set in his quests).
Tumblr media
I hoped this answers your question. There are more conditions for the endings of course, such as Xavier not dying for example. From what I heard, making Jae a shadow baron might also help Heinrix to stay alive when he would otherwise be assassinated....

I recently had the absolute pleasure of commissioning @thatzombiecat for a portrait of Visenya ahead of the release of the Rogue Trader: Lex Imperialis DLC, and I remain IN AWE of the final result!
I wanted a portrait of Vis with Nomos, but with a little twist. In Vis' timeline, I have a headcanon that not long after they meet, Ulfar questions why Vis is called a "void wolf," and it becomes a point of contention between them. As a Space Wolf, the moniker of "wolf" carries a lot of weight and respect for Ulfar, and hearing it used as slang for terms like "pirate" and "criminal" doesn't sit well with him.
After Vis helps Ulfar, Thorbald and the Stormbiters in Act 4, Ulfar is able to get ahold of a Fenrisian Wolf skull and gifts it to her as a show of respect - putting the whole "void wolf" debate to rest, as Ulfar accepts she deserves the title. The skull is made into a servo-skull and becomes Nomo's main ride!
I knew Zombie was the right person to comm for this, and I could not be happier!!! It turned out beautiful and Nomos is PERFECT!
On a personal note, I unexpectedly lost my German Shepherd, whose name was Wolf, not long before commissioning this. I didn't even realize the timing connection until now, and though it wasn't done on purpose, it does feel like a bit of my boy is in this. ❤️
Thank you, Zombie! It turned out WONDERFUL!

Alright Heinrix friends, I want to know your headcanon about sex and Commorragh
Time probably passes a bit differently there, but I've got to imagine that once the RT was reunited with Heinrix, they had at least a week together before escaping (I then headcanon that they were gone for 3 months in the regular universe)
Was the sex a one time thing for them? Did they start having sex in quiet corners as much as possible? Curious minds want to know!
With Nova and Heinrix, they only had sex the once in Commorragh. She has far less control over her psyker abilities than he does, and with the emotion and desperation of the moment... Let's just say when he made her come, they were a lot closer to a warp event than either of them liked. But even so, lots of kissing and cuddling late at night afterward
Charity and Heinrix fucked like rabbits after the first time. Any time they found themselves alone (which was a lot because the other members of her retinue simply did not want to deal with them) they were having sex. Which made it hurt that much more when he tries to pull away in the beginning of act 4
What about your Rogue Trader? :D

No one will see this and that's okay
But I see a lot of commentary on various social media regarding Marazhai and why one would ever recruit him, considering what he's done not only to the Rogue Trader, but also to their retinue. And while I'm admittedly biased, here are my thoughts. Under the cut!
Firstly, there's nothing saying you can't. It is among the greatest privileges of the Warrant of Trade that you are freely able to associate with xenos, as long as you do not side with xenos over humanity. It is so incredibly easy for von Valancius to simply say "I wanted to" in regards to basically any question ever asked to them, up to and including keeping a Drukhar in their retinue.
Second, due to his circumstances aboard von Valancius's ship, he automatically becomes one of the most loyal members of the retinue. He literally cannot afford to betray the Rogue Trader or plot against them because it means his certain death. As much as I, personally, love to joke that Marazhai is an idiot, he isn't. He's incredibly smart and incredibly aware of where he stands. On the bridge, RT can comment that he seems to enjoy submitting, or at least playing second fiddle, after learning that he was (mostly) content as Dracon and even sought out the Black Heart's patronage when trying to unseat Yremeryss, and he responds that he doesn't revel in submission, but simply accepts things as they are. His loyalty aboard the von Valancius vessel is just that, him accepting his circumstances. (This is taken a step further in the sub route of his romance, but that's a whole other post that no one will read)
Additionally, it was brought up that in Act 4, during the Warp jump, he goes on a "murder spree". Not to sound like I'm woobifying him (though I've been known to) but he literally does not mean to do that. It's impossible to say what he might've done, had he known what was going to happen, but he didn't. He's never traveled through the Warp on a human vessel, so he wouldn't know. And subsequent to this, when you give him whatever you give him, whether its his own hunting grounds, free reign of the lower decks, or locking him up for Warp jumps, he does it. Without fail. He listens to you and obeys. He never, after arrangements are made for him, kills someone that the Rogue Trader does not explicitly give him permission to kill.
And that's saying a lot because he has plenty of reason to kill...basically anyone in the retinue because they all want him dead. Hell, in Commorragh, when he's attacked by Heinrix, Argenta, or Ulfar (or any combination of the three) he doesn't try to kill any of them. If he had actually tried, he would have succeeded in killing at least one of them.
Thirdly, and this is mostly from a meta perspective, but he's an incredibly lethal party member, especially when given Yremeryss's djinn blade. Before the advent of Kibellah (and Blade Dancers in general, holy shit) Marazhai has consistently been the greatest damage dealer in all 5 playthroughs that I've completed.
All this to say, yeah, I get it if you don't want to recruit the pain vampire space elf, but you're missing out on quite a lot if you decide to kill him outright or whatever other merciless fate you can imagine for him. I'm not saying he deserves it, but dig deep into your Iconoclast heart and maybe you'll find that you can give him a second (or third or tenth) chance. He won't disappoint!
