The Princess of Wales can always be relied upon for a strong fashion look. This visit to Boston, her first overseas trip since the death of the late Queen, is no exception.
Through her wardrobe, Catherine has delivered on the style moments that her fans so love, whilst keeping the message focused on the Earthshot Prize and its goals.
Here, we break it down, piece by piece ...

The Emilia Wickstead dress
For an engagement at Harvard University's Center on the Developing Child, Catherine wore a bespoke version of Emilia Wickstead's 'Miles' pencil dress.

The Mulberry bag
Catherine carried a pale blue Mulberry 'Harlow' bag. The label is a savvy choice for this trip, as the heritage brand now boasts a transparent and sustainable 'farm to finished product' supply chain.

The Solace London gown
Catherine walked the Earthshot Prize Awards green carpet in a Solace London gown, which was rented from Hurr. The neon hue also reflected the evening's planet-conscious theme.
The gown was teamed with Queen Mary's Art Deco emerald and diamond choker, which was previously on lifetime loan to Princess Diana. The diamond and emerald earrings are new, by Asprey.

The Alexander McQueen coat
For a walk along Boston Harbour on Thursday, Catherine wore a new bespoke Alexander McQueen coat and bespoke Gianvito Rossi brown suede boots, her go-to brand for formal footwear.
The Gabriela Hearst knitwear
Underneath her coat, the Princess wore a vibrant new cashmere and silk poloneck and skirt set by New York-based Gabriela Hearst, a fashion industry leader when it comes to sustainable manufacturing and business practices.
The Daniella Draper earrings

Metryllis' Paladin Problems: Valentines by Volume
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
source : www . reddit . com/r/grandorder/comments/ey7s5b/metryllis_paladin_problems_valentines_by_volume/Commentary:
Just in time for the Month of Love. It’s something horrible!
I guess this is more of a Kiara’s Paladin Problems strip, but I’m on a roll with that “M” theme linking them all together.
Kiara's opening lines were inspired by lyrics from The Rocky Horror Picture Show track "Don't Dream It, Be It". Astolfo speaks for himself.
There’s a reason why only certain Servants (if any) are allowed to accompany you in Singularities/EoRs/Lostbelts. Some would resolve them too easily!
Yes, in addition to being a Prince and a Duke, Astolfo was a King of Lombardy as well!
Like the overview of Durandal’s ownership in a previous comic, Astolfo’s telling of his sordid saga is mostly without embellishments. It only omits that he only became friends with Giocondo (Jocundo, in some translations) when he heard that he was a man whose beauty rivaled his own. To see if the rumors were true, he invited him to his kingdom in Lombardy (Astolfo’s brother had recently died, leaving him to inherit it), but when Giocondo arrived, he was bedraggled and sallow. Astolfo’s would-be competition had recently chanced upon his wife in the arms of another man (a crucifix was involved). Later, through a crack in his guest room, Giocondo spied Astolfo’s queen having an affair with the aforementioned dwarf. And you know the rest. Oh, except the part where Astolfo and Giocondo gave Fiammetta and her third lover their blessing and a large dowry with which they could wed each other. Also, the little wrinkle that the entire tale might be completely fictitious. Even more so than usual, I mean.
Rodomonte, having had his fiancé choose Mandricardo over him, languishes in an inn and bemoans the supposed promiscuity of women, the innkeeper kindly tells him the story of Astolfo’s thousand THOT march to make him feel better. Ariosto, the writer, prefaces the story assuring the reader that it is nonsense and also very offensive and can be skipped. Not that this stopped me.
Of course, this allegedly improbably tale is told a few cantos before Astolfo goes to Hell, Heaven, Eden, and the Moon. Which actually happens. So the milli-mistress misadventure could have also been true.
It’s charming either way, I find. Astolfo is such a ridiculous character that people can just attribute all sorts of deranged deeds to his ledger and they’d suddenly become plausible by association.
After the story is told, some of the bar’s partrons agree with the sentiment that they must be wary of womanly wantonness. Others, surprisingly, side with the women and claim that men are just as likely to be unfaithful and they shouldn’t hold it against each other too brutally if infidelity should occur.
I must stress that whether you believe Astolfo’s story is about letting your freak flag fly or waving away loyalty lapses in non-open relationships, Ariosto has strong moral ideals on romance (even while putting Charlemagne’s own…wanderings…into consideration) to buoy all this crudeness. If not modern, then very far-reaching ones.
Bradamante and Ruggiero’s love, for how much trouble it gets them in and how Ariosto might have been playing to the vanity of his patrons (who believed themselves descended from the pair), is comprehensively portrayed as a very good and very beautiful thing in a tale rife with the mad and the macabre.
The hollowness of Ruggiero’s partially enchanted affair with Alcina regresses his reputable countenance into that of a placid imbecile who’s almost plantlike even before he’s turned into an actual tree.
Roland’s pursuit over a woman who does not love him, transforms him into a monster.
Doralice so swiftly switching affections for Mandricardo to his killer, Ruggiero is depicted negatively.
Paladin Rinaldo, a married man and Bradamante’s brother, temporarily redeems himself for his own pursuit of Angelica by leading the reinforcements he’d collected (a task he was penalized with by a disappointed Charlemagne) to save Paris, his king, and his fellow knights during a terrible siege. Then he greedily goes out to pursue Angelica again, this time under the pretense that he’s actually hunting down Gradasso and the stolen Durandal. He is repaid for his deception by a gorgon attack (yes, really) and his lack of effort in actually finding his purported targets leads to him missing the climactic 3-on-3 duel wherein Roland, Oliver, and Brandimart are grievously harmed by the blade he was supposed to retrieve.
But although Ariosto prizes Love and Loyalty, he’s as mentioned previously, very fond of Mercy. Princess Genevra of Scotland is accused of fornication and is to be sentenced to death. While she is eventually revealed to be innocent, that is a moot point for Rinaldo and her fiancé Ariodantes. Had she been guilty, the two of them would have still viewed her punishment as far too harsh and would have rushed to save her regardless. And they’d have succeeded in that scenario just the same.
Angelica, so frequently accosted and made captive, finds a man of sincere affection in the humble Medoro.
Proud Marfisa, finding the hamlet of the tyrant Marganor’s discarded and dishonored women, might have mocked them for allowing themselves to be victims, for not being as mighty, rich, and unstoppable as she. Instead, the glib cruelty of the Amazons and the vulnerable magnificence of Bradamante & Ruggiero’s bond have made her more worldly and considerate, and she stages a rebellion to not just punish Marganor but to reinstate his mistresses as full citizens of their home village worthy of sympathy, protection, and perhaps even true love rather than leave them ostracized for being made targets for wickedness they had little hope of defying on their own.
By the by, I hope you got a good laugh out of this comic. Cheers

Sainte Rolande
Respect Rolende ✊🏻

http://www.zeldainformer.com/the_entirely_valid_completely_believable_theory_of_a_tetraforce/
In Zelda there is a theory called the tetraforce theory.
The triforce is made up of three yellow triangles. The three triangles represent wisdom, power, and courage. The Hylian Shield in Ocarina of Time, however, has a fourth triangle below the triforce symbol. THe shield is illustrated above. It was hypothesized that this fourth triangle was the fourth force in the triforce. We see, thereby, the quaternity principal at play. The three is becoming four, or at least there is a different fourth component that does not seem to belong.
The number four is significant in Zelda. The prominence of the number four in Zelda leads “tetraforce conspirators” to believe that there is a fourth part of the triforce.

The term "4X" originates from a 1993 preview of Master of Orion in Computer Gaming World by Alan Emrich, in which he rated the game "XXXX" as a pun on the XXX rating for pornography. The four Xs were an abbreviation for "EXplore, EXpand, EXploit and EXterminate".[1]
Explore means players send scouts across a map to reveal surrounding territories.
Exploit means players gather and use resources in areas they control, and improve the efficiency of that usage.
Expand means players claim new territory by creating new settlements, or sometimes by extending the influence of existing settlements.
Exterminate means attacking and eliminating rival players. Since in some games all territory is eventually claimed, eliminating a rival's presence may be the only way to achieve further expansion.

MARCO COLONNA: “POST COLONIAL BLUES”

January 28 - Bl. Charlemagne, Emperor - 814 A.D
Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, son of king Pepin, was born in 742, and crowned king of France in 768; but his youngest brother Carlo man reigned in Austrasia till his death, in 771. Charlemagne vanquished Hunauld, duke of Aquitaine, and conquered the French Gothia or Languedoc; subdued Lombardy; conferred on pope Adrian the exarchate of Ravenna, the duchy of Spoletto, and many other dominions; took Pavia, (which had been honored with the residence of twenty kings,) and was crowned king of Lombardy in 774. The emir Abderamene in Spain, having shaken off the yoke of the caliph of the Saracens, in 736, and established his kingdom at Cordova, and other emirs in Spain setting up independency, Charlemagne, in 778, marched as far as the Ebro and Saragossa, conquered Barcelona Gironne, and many other places, and returned triumphant. His cousit. Roland, who followed him with the rear of his army, in his return was set upon in the Pyrenean mountains by a troop of Gascon robbers, and slain; and is the famous hero of numberless old French romances and songs. The Saxons having in the king’s absence plundered his dominions upon the Rhine, he flew to the Weser, and compelled them to make satisfaction. Thence he went to Rome, and had his infant sons crowned kings, Pepin of Lombardy, and Lewis of Aquitaine. The great revolt of the Saxons, in 782, called him again on that side. When they were vanquished, and sued for pardon, he declared he would no more take their oaths which they had so often broken, unless they became Christians. Witikind embraced the condition, was baptized with his chief followers in 785, and being created duke of part of Saxony, remained ever after faithful in his religion and allegiance. From him are descended, either directly or by intermarriages, many dukes of Bavaria, and the present houses of Saxony, Brandenburg, &c, as may be seen in the German genealogists. Some other Saxons afterwards revolted, and were vanquished and punished in 794, 798, &c., so that, through their repeated treachery and rebellions, this Saxon war continued at intervals for the space of thirty-three years. Thassillon, duke of Bavaria, for treasonable practices, was attacked by Charlemagne in 788, vanquished, and obliged to put on a monk’s cowl to save his life: from which time Bavaria was annexed to Charlemagne’s dominions. To punish the Abares for their inroads, he crossed the Inns into their territories, sacked Vienna, and marched to the mouth of the Raab, upon the Danube In 794, he assisted at the great council of Frankfort, held in his royal palace there. He restored Leo III. at Rome, quelled the seditions there, and was crowned by him on Christmas-day, in 800, emperor of Rome and of the West: in which quality he was afterwards solemnly acknowledged by Nicephorus, emperor of Constantinople. Thus was the western empire restored, which had been extinct in Momylus Agustulus in the fifth century. In 805, Charlemagne quelled and conquered the Sclavonians. The Danube, the Teisse, and the Oder on the East, and the Ebro and the ocean on the West, were the boundaries of his vast dominions. France, Germany, Dacia, Dalmatia, Istria, Italy, and part of Pannonia and Spain, obeyed his laws. It was then customary for kings not to reside in great cities, but to pass the summer often in progresses or campaigns, and the winter at some country palace. King Pepin resided at Herstal, now Jopin, in the territory of Liege, and sometimes at Quiercy on the Oise: Charlemagne often at Frankfort or Aix-la-Chapelle, which were country seats; for those towns were then inconsiderable places: though the latter had been founded by Serenus Granus in 124, under Adrian. It owes its greatness to the church built there by Charlemagne.
This prince was not less worthy of our admiration in the quality of a legislator than in that of a conqueror; and in the midst of his marches and victories, he gave the utmost attention to the wise government of his dominions, and to every thing that could promote the happiness of his people, the exaltation of the church, and the advancement of piety and every branch of sacred and useful learning. 564 What pains he took for the reformation of monasteries, and for the sake of uniformity introducing in them the rule of St. Bennet. appears from his transactions, and several ecclesiastical assemblies in 789. His zeal for the devout observance of the rites of the church is expressed in his book to Alcuin on that subject, and in his encyclical epistle on the rites of baptism, 565 and in various works which he commissioned Alcuin and others to compile. For the reformation of manners, especially of the clergy, he procured many synods to be held, in which decrees were framed, which are called his Capitula. 566 His Capitulars, divided into many chapters, are of the same nature. The best edition of these Capitulars is given by Baluzius, with dissertations, in 1677, two vols. folio. The Carolin Books are a theological work, (adopted by this prince, who speaks in the first person,) compiled in four books, against a falsified copy of the second council of Nice, sent by certain Iconoclasts from Constantinople, on which see F. Daniel567 and Ceillier. 568
There never was a truly great man, who was not a lover and encourager of learning, as of the highest improvement of the human mind. Charlemagne, by most munificent largesses, invited learned men over from foreign parts, as Alcuin, Peter of Pisa, Paul the deacon, &c., found no greater pleasure than in conversing with them, instituted an academy in his own palace, and great schools at Paris, Tours, &c., assisted at literary disputations, was an excellent historian, and had St. Austin’s book, On the City of God, laid every night under his pillow to read if he awaked. Yet Eginhard assures us that whatever pains he took, he could never learn to write, because he was old when he first applied himself to it. He was skilled in astronomy, arithmetic, music, and every branch of the mathematics; understood the Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and Syriac, also the Sclavonian, and several other living languages, so as never to want an interpreter to converse with ambassadors of neighboring nations. He meditated assiduously on the scriptures, assisted at the divine office, even that of midnight, if possible; had good books read to him at table, and took but one meal a day, which he was obliged to anticipate before the hour of evening on fasting days, that all his officers and servants might dine before midnight. He was very abstemious, had a paternal care of the poor in all his dominions, and honored good men, especially among the clergy. Charlemagne died January the 28th, in 814, seventy-two years old, and was buried at A x-la-Chapelle. The incontinence into which he fell in his youth, he expiated by sincere repentance, so that several churches in Germany and France honor him among the saints. In the university of Paris, the most constant nation of the Germans, (which was originally called the English nation, in 1250, when the distinction of nations in the faculty of arts was there established,) take Charlemagne for their patron, but only keep his festival since the year 1480, which is now common to the other three nations of French, Picards, and Normans, since 1661.569

HYBRIS
What for? What kind of reason he has for him to take down the fated emperor that will bring the empire a good life! (He slams his fist to the table).
EDWARD
According to the letter delivered by Duke Roland himself says that you don’t fit to the position you are in and if your highness’ life is important, you should take initiative to dethrone yourself or else a war will take place.

EDWARD
Understood, your Highness (Bows).
(After HYBRIS opens and walks out of the office, EDWARD lifts his head and proceeds to the Training camp to inform the knights regarding the war that is about to come)
On the same day at nightfall. In the battlefield, stands hundreds of knights from both sides. HYBRIS and ROLAND get near to each other with smile on their faces.
HYBRIS
Didn’t expect that we’ll be meeting each other at this place Duke Bourchu.
ROLAND
I anticipated this situation but didn’t know I’ll be right, that you’re going choose violence and brutality just because of a position that doesn’t belong to you.
HYBRIS
You don’t know anything, duke. You don’t know what I sacrificed for me to achieve and sit on the throne that is meant for me.
ROLAND
So, you have chosen this path, (slowly takes out his sword) Hybris.
HYBRIS
(Takes out his sword, aiming at duke ROLAND)
I have no intention to give up the throne in the first place.
ROLAND AND HYBRIS
CHARGE!
Swords clashing, blood stains, life being at stake, pile of dead bodies, injured knights can be seen at the battlefield.
(ROLAND then manages to corner HYBRIS with his sword pierce through HYBRIS’ body.)
ROLAND
Any last words, your Highness?
HYBRIS
I will not yield. Before my body I throw my warlike shield. Lay on, Roland, and damn'd be him that first cries, 'Hold, enough! (Coughs up blood) Remember this, I am the destined emperor… That is what the Gods decided to give to me as a compensation of years of sufferings in the hands of my Father.
ROLAND
What you may know might not be the truth. Agnus Cesar is not the real Son of Prophecy, your Highness. We already captured and locked him up in prison for using the name of our Gods for his own greed. We could’ve ended this peacefully if you didn’t choose this war, you could also have known the truth on why your personal knight, the maid, and Agnus would be in a plan where it will bring the empire to ruins. But you threw away your chance. You were blinded by the power and revenge and even the prophetic lies saying you are destined to be an emperor of this empire. The empire already suffered enough to your tyranny, goodbye.
HYBRIS
NO! IT IS DESTINED TO BE MI- (Before HYBRIS could finish his sentence, ROLAND slashes HYBRIS’ head with knights watching and determining who wins the war.)
………
PEOPLE AT THE EMPIRE
(ROLAND enters through the Palace door)
ALL HAIL DUKE ROLAND! ALL HAIL THE FUTURE OF THE EMPIRE! Hail, king! for so thou art: behold, where stands. The usurper's cursed head: the time is free!
ROLAND
I see thee compass'd with thy empire's pearl, That speak my salutation in their minds; Whose voices I desire aloud with mine: Hail, Emperor of Asmodian! We shall not spend a large expense of time Before we reckon with your several loves and make us even with you. As calling home our exiled friends abroad. That fled the snares of watchful tyranny; So, thanks to all at once and to each one, whom we invite to see us crown'd at Scone.
(ROLAND gets crowned)
