Word Count: 1,475 Jane x Swan reader oneshot - Warnings: Fluff

Summary: Credit goes to @volturi-stuff​ as I have used some of her Fluffy Prompts for this Jane oneshot: 6. "Please, we are the cutest couple anyone has ever seen!" 24. “Can I paint your nails?” 33. "Did you just take my picture?" "Yup! It's my lockscreen now!"

Jane met Y/N Swan when the Volturi came to check on Renesmee a year after the confrontation, Aro, Caius and Marcus were curious as to how Renesmee was progressing.

The reunion was going well until Y/N arrived and Caius worked out that Y/N knew about Vampires and their world. “You told another human about us? Do you ever learn?” Caius said, his tone stern “In our defence, Bella and Y/N are sisters and are very close as you can imagine. Y/N would never tell anyone about us for it would risk harm to her sister and her niece” Carlisle explained softly “Y/N did figure it out on her own, we just didn’t deny it when she asked us” Esme added with a smile. “How did you work it out on your own?” Aro asked, curious “I borrowed Bella’s laptop, mine was taking too long to update, and noticed her search history was rather interesting. I read the articles online that she did and I found the book she bought as a result. It wasn’t hard then to piece it together as little things the Cullens did or didn’t do suddenly made sense” Y/N replied “Like what?” Caius asked, eyeing the Cullens with suspicion “Well, they ordered food at lunchtime at school but never ate any of it, they were never in school on really sunny days, claiming they were on a family camping trip. The main thing is they all have the same colour eyes despite not being biologically related, with the exception of Rosalie and Jasper who as per their cover story are twins and are Esme’s niece and nephew” Y/N replied, Demetri couldn’t help smirking at Y/N finding it amusing how she saw past the façade the Cullens put up. “Smart little human” Aro mused with a smile “Thank you Aro” Y/N smiled back.

Meanwhile, Jane couldn’t help looking at Y/N, the burning sensation she normally felt around humans wasn’t there, or at least not enough to bother her. All she wanted to do was to talk to Y/N and be near her, to protect her. Jane’s eyes widened slightly when she realised what that meant -she and Y/N were mates. Jane looked at Marcus, who was smiling wide listening to the conversations around him, whilst observing the start of a mate bond between Jane and Y/N. Marcus just nodded at Jane’s unasked question, pleased that she had finally found her mate, although he knew it would be difficult at first due to Jane’s past with humans. Edward growled low having read Jane and Marcus’ thoughts. “Edward what’s wrong?” Bella asked low, before he could answer Marcus spoke up “It would seem that Jane has met her mate in your sister Y/N.” The room was silent for a few moments with the exception a small gasp leaving Y/N’s lips. “That can’t be right, Jane doesn’t like humans” Felix said low, but everyone heard him given the proximity of everyone. Demetri elbowed him in the ribs “Not helpful Fe.” “I do not dislike Y/N. I don’t even know her” Jane spoke up looking at her mate “But I would like to get to know you…if that’s ok with you?” She added, giving her a small smile “I’d like that Jane” Y/N replied smiling.  

Y/N and Jane spent the afternoon talking and getting to know one another better. Everyone else stayed nearby as they were curious as to how they would get along “Who would have thought someone as lovely as Y/N would be mated to someone like Jane?” Emmett said to Rosalie “Fate works in mysterious ways. Y/N was born to be with Jane just as Jane was created to be with Y/N. They are two halves of the same soul” Marcus replied “So, you’re saying that they complement one another? The kind, lovable human and the terrifying witch twin” Emmett’s tone held a little amusement at the thought. “You know we can hear you all” Jane said looking around the room over Y/N’s shoulder “I think Jane’s gift sounds quite cool” Y/N said with a small smile “She clearly hasn’t experienced the gift herself” Felix commented “Imagine being able to pain drop someone if they annoy you just like that” Y/N says as she clicks her fingers looking between Felix and Emmett “I think I know now why those two are mates” Demetri replied looking at Jane and Y/N “Is it to encourage Jane to use her gift on Felix and Afton when they annoy them and or us?” Alec asked smiling wide “Yes. Yes, it is Alec” Demetri answered with a smile of his own “Not funny D, Alec” Felix growled back. “It’s not our fault Jane doesn’t use her gift on us” Demetri replied, giving her a smile.

A few months after Jane and Y/N met one another Y/N moved to Volterra to be Jane. Y/N liked living in the castle with her mate and her new friends. She was made to feel like one of the family, especially after meeting Sulpicia and Athenodora, who shared her interest of reading Jane Austin novels, such as ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and Sense and Sensibility’ to name but a few. Y/N even showed them the movie adaptations which they thoroughly enjoyed. Athenodora agreed with Y/N that Colin Firth was the ‘perfect’ Mr Darcy.

Jane was happy that Y/N had made friends at the castle and liked the fact her mate got along with Alec and Demetri, especially since Alec had informed her that Demetri had threatened the lower guards with death should they harm Y/N, once she agreed to move in with Jane.  

Y/N spent the afternoon with Demetri in his room as Jane was on guard duty with Alec. Y/N and Demetri had spent the afternoon watching movies on Netflix and Disney+ knowing Jane would join them later that evening. “Hello Y/N, Demetri” Jane greeted her mate and the tracker with a smile “Jane” They replied at the same time. “Can I paint your nails?” Y/N asked Jane as Jane came and sat beside her on the floor in Demetri’s room “Of course sweetie” Jane replied “Great. I’ve done mine and gave Dem a pedicure too” Y/N responded “You’ve had a pedicure Demetri?” Jane asked him, eyebrow raised “Yes. Our little human was bored after painting her nails and asked if she could do mine. We compromised on a pedicure as that can be hidden, a manicure cannot” He answered with a smile “I quite enjoyed being pampered and her warm hands on my cold feet wasn’t as ticklish as I thought they’d be” He added whilst admiring his now black coloured toenails, with a red stripe at the top of each one. “Very nice” Jane said smiling as she too admired his nails. “It’s a coloured French Manicure. Mine are pale blue with a silver stripe at the top. What colour would you like?” Y/N said looking at Jane “Purple please with a silver stripe” Jane replied smiling.

“I’m sorry I thought this was Demetri’s room…” Felix trailed off as he leaned on the doorframe looking into the room “Funny Fe, really” Demetri replied not looking at his friend “I’ve been spending time with our little human” Demetri smiled at Y/N “Jane joined us after her shift ended” Y/N added, not looking up from painting Jane’s nails “Y/N you are not painting my nails” Felix said looking at her “I wasn’t planning on it, I’ve seen the state of your feet” Y/N replied, scrunching up her nose, Demetri and Jane choked back a laugh.  

Y/N grabbed her phone off the coffee table and took pictures of her nails as well as Demetri’s and Jane’s nails, before turning slightly and taking a picture of Jane. "Did you just take my picture?" Jane asked "Yup! It's my lockscreen now!" Y/N replied showing Jane her phone screen. Jane smiled and reached for her phone on the coffee table and took a picture of Y/N. A few moments later and Jane showed Y/N her phone “Your picture is my lockscreen now” “Aww thanks hunny” Y/N replied smiling.

“You two are so corny” Felix says in a teasing tone "Please, we are the cutest couple anyone has ever seen!" Y/N said with a smile, whilst holding Jane’s hand. Jane placed a kiss to Y/N’s cheek and whispered “I love you Y/N” Y/N turned her head to face Jane and smiled at her “I love you too” She said low, before giving Jane a quick kiss. “I agree with Y/N, she and Jane do make a cute couple” Demetri said smiling.​

Any comedic headcanons for Heidi/Demetri/Felix/Rosalie? They’re slowly growing on me.

Definitely; I love these dorks in part because they lend themselves so well to silly headcanons.

Felix loves going to museums and dramatically recreating the statues’ poses. He cannot be stopped; he is too large and determined to be ridiculous. Sometimes, when the rest of the gang is in a good mood, they join him and get some nice tourists to photograph them. And then Felix uses the pictures as blackmail his lockscreen.

Felix and Demetri definitely speak in exaggerated New York accents to make Rosalie laugh. (Think, “Ey, I’m walkin’ here!”) Rosalie’s grateful that Heidi’s sensible and Not Like This, until Heidi joins the impressions. And she’s really good. She goes to New York most often, after all. (Also, for some reason she thinks all New Yorkers speak like 1930s gangsters??)… moral of this story, everyone in this pairing is kind of a goofball, even if they don’t look it. 

Choosing what to watch on any given night is An Ordeal. Felix always suggests arm-wrestling for the remote, but nobody agrees to that for obvious reasons. Instead, these guys have come up with more and more complicated games to decide who picks the entertainment. Which is to say that they’ve definitely played The Floor is Lava and trashed the place, then settled down to watch Titanic in the ruins. (It was Demetri’s choice.)(A note for the uninitiated: The Floor is Lava is when you pretend the floor is lava. Totally unexpected, I know. You must navigate the room/house/classroom by climbing on furniture. Last person not to fall into the lava wins. Somebody will twist their ankle, everyone will have fun.)
