Truly one of the best running gags in my writing for Rose-stays-AUs is that she always dresses a bit 2000's. Eventually someone is gonna look at her in her jeans and kicks and some silly graphic tshirt with her crimped hair and go "oh so you guys are time travelers."

awwww zombie shoes, they're so cute :) i want to buy both these models so bad, but first off all i have to remember that all heals are bad heels... which is a shame, bc i find the shoe on the right a little bit cooler (nicer colour, better shape)
other than that they cost 100 euro so i'm not going to buy them

Discontinued Fragrances: Autour de la Vanille Réglisse by Molinard (1998)
“Molinard's spellbinding Vanilla-based Eau de Toilettes send us on a voyage to dream destinations.”
I didn’t realize when I bought it, but there’s a whole line of “Autour de la Vanilles” (Around Vanilla, as in Around the World) from Molinard: Vanille Fraicheur, Patchouli, Fruitée, Fleurie, and Marine. The one I have is Vanille Réglisse or “Vanilla Licorice.”
Found this capless tester by happenstance. I was drawn to the opaque cream bottle and the antique travel-themed packaging, and I read such great things about Molinard. I’m meh about the taste of licorice and anise but I love them as notes in fragrance, and there’s plenty of room in my heart for my babygirl vanilla so I was excited for this.
Very heavy on the vanilla, it would be disappointing if it weren’t, the v word is on the bottle twice. I appreciate how creamy and milky Molinard’s vanilla is. It’s like an ice cream so vanilla it’s more yellow than white in color. So light on the spice, it’s more of a straight up gourmand than an oriental. The citrus is there in the opening, it freshens things up, keeps the vanilla from being too warm and oppressive and smothering. Once it settles, the anise and licorice is there too, a soft spice. And with the citrus gone, it gives the vanilla depth.
The more I smell it I realize the chocolate is a fairly big player here and lends an almost coffee-ish vibe? I don’t drink coffee (humble brag) but I’ve been dragged through coffee shops and have aways gotten the least coffee, coffee-adjacent beverage that I could: hot chocolate, chocolate milk, a frappucino that’s just a milkshake, etc. This perfume reminds me of those pseudo coffee experiences. It isn’t glamour, it’s indulgence.
It projects, I get wafts of it for hours, especially on clothes. If you’re a licorice/anise lover, you might be disappointed, because they’re only supporting characters, most prominent during the initial drydown. The rest is just a dreamy creamy vanilla and milky chocolate that sticks around all day. Since giving away my Coty Vanilla Fields, I haven’t had a solid vanilla bomb in my collection, and this fits the bill. Again, I love the bottle to death, cream and brown make my world go round.
I was determined to get more information about these perfumes, there were few listings and no reviews. So I did some digging and found some French forum posts from 2003 discussing them.
... and I went through my own posts to make a fashion moodboard for this fragrance.
