42 years ago today, Metallica was born.

I can't even describe by words how much they have helped me overcome the problems i face everyday, how much they changed me for the better, how they have taught me about so many important things in life.

I'm only 21 years old, i still have a lot to learn, but no other idols i have had before have been this important to me. They teach me everyday how to be confident, how to never give up on my dreams, but most importantly, they taught me that everyone is human and everyone can make mistakes. That doesn't mean we are worse or better than anyone, it just means we're all facing different kinds of obstacles in our lives and we should learn from it. They shaped me as the person i am today. A better and happier version of me.

I can't even thank them properly because it will never be enough.

I love you Metallica. Happy "the guys who saved my life" Day, y'all <3

how did you come upon a full naked pic of rick allen? where do you find all these gems?

Not really sure how to answer this haha.

Honestly I just deep search on Google (also Tumblr, X and Pinterest) with various keywords like “Joe Elliott Photoshoot” or “Rick Allen Ross Halfin” (or add certain years, locations or search their name in another language like Japanese or Korean) or any photographer that has worked with them and dig deep into their portfolios. I also visit a lot of forums (and a lot of them are kinda vulgar ngl) and find certain images and information there. It takes a lot of patience and also a lot of just searching randomly and getting lost into the search. I also do reverse searching on images and find images from there.

Hopefully that helps and gives an idea 😅 but for that specific Rick photo, I had to go on a forum to find it.

Luckily for him a switched on music teacher would let him and a couple of other mates skip maths and chemistry lessons so they could learn to play BEATLES, STATUS QUO and AC/DC numbers on the guitar instead.

This led to the high school outfit Album Graecum who blasted out ragged hyperspeed covers of BOWIE and T-REX numbers but with a pronounced filter: that of the angry teenage punk fan: "We played "Ride A White Swan"... but five times too fast!""
