A long while ago, I experimented with some powerswap / guardianswap AU designs with Jack. I never finished them for the other Guardians, though I had wanted to all these years. I wasn't too happy with all of Jack's designs so I went back and touched them up. 

Actually, whatever side he is on or how canon would fit into each story is up to the audience, I just wanted to draw these character designs based on the original character's personality and attire of choice. 

Jack Claus's staff is a wooden staff painted red and white like a candy cane, but it's still a stick. His hoodie is now a thick winter coat, with a scarf fashioned around the waist with puffy winter pants and boots. I experimented with brown hair for him, but it blended in with his red coat, so I kept his hair white. 

Jack Jay. The old Jack design for the ToothFairy was inspired by ask-tales-of-childhood.tumblr.… , but after a time I lost interest in the design and tried to go a different route. I paired Jack with a Blue Jay, a territorial bully of birds. It fit his mischievous, carefree attitude in a way, and kept him feathery. He uses his staff to carry large bags of teeth. 

Jack Rabbit. A white bunny with an ever-growing staff. His hoodie doesn't block his main and most powerful sense: his ears, so it is just a charming fashion statement. 

Jack Sand wears a one-piece night dress with seaweed hoodie strings. His staff has been woven into a powerful dreamcatcher that purifies bad dreams. 

Jack Black (yes, yes har har) wields a staff of black sand, and his mischievousness has now perhaps a sinister side. His preferred Nightmare is a wolf.

The Big Four AU: A Friendship Told Four Ways

Or basically Four Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons AU where they all exist in each other's universe.

How to Train Your Dragon AU: Hiccup entrusts his secret of Toothless with the only people on Berk he trusts; his friends: Rapunzel, daughter of the village healer. Merida, a training shieldmaiden and the only teen that doesn’t pick on Hiccup. And Jack Frost, a young shepherd boy that guards the flock, or what’s left of it.

Tangled AU: Determined to see the lanterns for her 18th birthday, Rapunzel makes a deal with a trio of thieves: Hiccup the Blacksmith, Merida the Archer, and Jack Frost, the Trickster.

Brave AU: When the four clans joined together, an unlikely friendship was forged between the children of the clans; Princess Merida of Clan DunBroch. Prince Hiccup of Clan Dingwall. Princess Rapunzel of Clan Macintosh. Prince Jackson of Clan MacGuffin.

Rise of the Guardians AU: For 300 years, Jack Frost was unseen by the mortal world, his only friends were other young seasonal spirits like him; Hiccup the Autumn Spirit, Rapunzel the Spring Spirit, & Merida the Summer Spirit.

I don’t think I’ll make this an AU but HEAR ME OUT OKOK modern AU

Location wise they’re in Scotland, according to google they say Berk is based on an island “near Staffa of the inner Hebrides in Argyll and Bute in Scotland” so I think it’d be semi urbanized version of Berk? Not city city per say and not suburbs either, just village-like

Hiccup has this MASSIVE fixation on dragons, and he and his friends r on a bike gang and they travel a lot and it’s always hiccup pushing them to go further and further each time, to the dismay of his dad trying to teach him how to b responsible enough for [insert plot convenient position]

For Jack I’m not sure yet, maybe he just travels a lot (dunno y, maybe kinda like snufkin but instead of following spring he follows winter and boom he stumbles to berkkk heheheheheh, he might’ve decided to start traveling out of yearning for winter winds and he lets it LITERALLY guide him, I think I’d like if in this au he willingly left his home but got a goodbye, and def comes back every now and then, in between he writes letters (there’s a movie that’s like that abt a woman who travels w her daughter letting the north wind guide her, don’t remember name tho)) he hates shoes bc it keeps him from being able to razzmatazz, and hiccup’s poor poor anxiety can’t take it. He’s just a silly guy

Dunno how they meet, why they do, or how it develops, but I just through it’d b cool to draw since i think modern hijack au would go kinda this direction too maybe

Def will work more on Jack later

Pitch sits upon his throne and waves his hand nonchalantly towards the magic mirror. He begins to sip his deep red wine from the glass in his hand.

P: Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?

Mirror: There is but one fairer than thee.

Pitch spits out his sip and glares.

P: Impossible-!? Who?!

Mirror: Jack Frost. Features all white as snow and eyes of sky blue.

Pitch sees the image of Jack shown having such fun skating on lake ice.

P: Hmmm...well he IS quite beautiful indeed.

The man ponders his options for a silent few long seconds before grinning.

P: Well, if you can't beat 'em, MARRY 'em~

Heyyy remember this rant post I made about the rise of the guardians? Well I wrote a fic that touches on some of this stuff. It's what if Jack kept his memories and that changes a lot of stuff. It's probably gonna get a bit dark, y'know on account of Jack knowing he died, but it won't all be sad :)

Toothiana Powerswap / Guardianswap! 

Her outfits are inspired by miscellaneous South East Asian traditional fashion. 

Santiana's wings are made of Poinsettia flowers, as is her hair. She wears little bells on her wrists and always keeps her ears warm! 

Frostiana I'm not completely happy with her head. She's technically wearing a pointed beanie hat with a frost crown at the front of it. It just looks off with the rest of her face, but... I wasn't able to make anything else look good so I gave up. She has snowflakes for wings. 

Easter... fairy??? Hoppiana is a flying bunny rabbit! Her giant ears are able to do so, with just a pinch of magic. She wears a crown of wisteria and brings her painting supplies everywhere. 

Sandiana's wings are made of sand. She is adorned with a necklace of golden pearls and seashells collected from the shore. 

Inkana, the Queen of Nightmares with a wispy shawl and bat wings made of Nightmare sand. Her favorite Nightmares are bats.

Made a previous post about this but I think I've finally flushed out a complete enough AU that I feel confident enough to make art about it. I'm calling it:

EverGreen

An AU where instead of distancing herself from her father-turned-nightmare king Mother Nature instead slowly but surely grows to accept his presence and in the end, join him.

Once the Guardians/of Childhood confronts him she has already let in enough darkness to let them affect her mind. To the point of allowing Pitch to manipulate her into thinking he is the only one who understands her and can keep them safe, now that the Golden Age is no more.

In return she stays with him, both for the company but also because of the guilt of what happened to her mother.

Over the ages she's grown far more hostile and paranoid, even though she might not show it at first. Spending most of her time either in her fathers underground lair or hiding deep in ancient forests. (she likes seeing the sun on occasion)
