i joined bc FUCK the rpc. i’ve been rping on tumblr for probably,,,,,,8-9 years now and as much as i love writing and as much as some rps have been a wonderful experience, the rpc is so wildly toxic and disgusting that i’ve honestly been considering giving it up entirely. activity limits are ridiculous, rps are hyped up for months and die in a week, everyone is clique-y as hell and the whole thing is just steeped in toxic callout culture and i’m so PUMPED to finally find an rp that exists just for the sake of writing and actually enjoying it it’s a fucking miracle

Honestly I really miss Nikolai these days, that asshole. I loved playing him and I didn’t get to explore other aspects of him, so that’s a shame.

Oh, damn. I have so many ships yo… Seriosuly. 

My all time favorite from St. Mary’s Project was Taywolfe (Quinn & Jon). Both Rhi and Eva are one of my favorites and they HURT ME SO BAD WITH TAYWOLFE. From New Generation SMP, I would have to go with Starkus (Stella & Markus) ‘cause they are both my children (I mean, Stella was one of my character Des’ daughter) and they were so pure. From Clearbrook, I absolutely loved Thais and Gerald (mostly ‘cause Thais was one of my fav…) In Mt. Prospect, I silently shipped OTP:you’re my problem lol because they had a good dynamic and loved the both characters.

In SMP saga, my favorite to play with was Boss (Dominic and Greg) because A) I’m biased for them ‘cause m/m ship and B) I absolutely loved their sass feast and they were both so fucked up but somehow they made it work, and they understood each other which was big for me…

In New Generation, I have lotta feelings for Greywell (MJ and Jeremy) ‘cause they were so pure and lovable and MJ is actually one of my all time favorite characters… (also a little biased ‘cause m/m ship). I also fucking love Isabel and Walter, BECAUSE TIME TRAVEL PLOT and they had great chemistry.

In Clearbrook, I really liked Irma and Lennon because they were such stubborn idiots and absolutely annoyed the fuck outta each other (like old married couple lol).

In Mt. Prospect, Hectorion (Hector & Orion) ‘cause of the whole immortality and their talk about humanity and existence and the whole theme was just so cool…

And this is a 1x1 RP ship but hole buddies (Jesse & Fred) is actually one of my all time favorites. They are sooooo much fun to rp and hilarious.

Damn, this is like asking which child a mother loves more… Let me start by saying that I’ve loved every single one of my characters a lot, but there are some that have stuck with me even long after I stopped playing them because I played them for the longest time, or they were new experiences for me (writing that type of character), or the bonds that were created with someone else’s characters were just fucking epic. Now, having said that, my favorites would probably be Jon Wolfe, Aryadna Slezák and Tristan Tillstrom. The SMP saga is what really got me into roleplaying, so I guess it makes sense it would be because of those three. Ginevra Barnes and Gerard Linden are close second, I love them to death as well because Clearbrook Academy was (and luckily continues to be, even if more sporadically) a great experience.

Ugh, another impossible question… I’m going to go in chronological order of how I met those wonderful characters. Sebastien Woodsen and the duality of character he had, being the perfect gentleman, so polite and disciplined, who had a side to him that was freer and passionate. Quinn Taylor, the actual heroine of the SMP saga. Seriously, she’s what real heroes are made of, there was just so much goodness in her and she didn’t own shit to humanity and still she cared so deeply about them. Lukas Richmond, the one and only asshole that I will forever love. There were just too many layers to him and all those masks he wore, it was a treat having gotten to know his more intimate and genuine side through Arya. Greg Booker, the best friend Arya had that I sometimes wish I had lol. He was so rough around the edges, but deep down he was a good guy. He was a stale cinnamon roll. Harvey Faulkner, the actual angel of Clearbook Academy. He is all duty and responsibility, but he truly cared about those around him. There’s something about him that always kind of broke my heart, probably the fact that he’s “doomed” to live on while he keeps losing people… Thais Alves, the badass and infinitely loving werewolf that my little airbender couldn’t help but love. I swear I’m in love with her too, she’s such a wonderful person and I adore the rebelious side of her. Having two characters that got close to her was amazing, because I got to meet Thais through romance with Gerard and Thais through friendship with Jules. Allison Watts, I love that things kind of came out nowhere with her, which is the beauty of rp, when unexpected but meaningful stuff happens between your character and someone else’s. She’s such a mystery to me still, but I love what I’ve gotten to see of her, her intellect, her insecurities, her kindness. And last but not least, Carter Zimmerman. He’s funny, he’s sarcastic, he’s caring, he’s trouble. It’s always fun to write plots with him, and surprisingly some get feelsy as fuck in no time (yes, I mean the one of Jules’ fear of getting back into the water).

I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences in the majority of roleplays I’ve been in. They all have certainly been memorable for one reason or another. I think they have all been my favorite while I was in those groups, but St. Mary’s will probably always stand out for being my first truly immersive rp experience. (Technically Heatherfield was the first, but it died little after I joined). With SMP I got to explore multiple characters (I ended up having 12 FUCKING CHARACTERS AT ONE POINT, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!). And I also got to explore them through various chapters of their life because the roleplay extended into three arcs (St. Mary’s Project, The S Council and Continuum). And if that wasn’t enough we ended up going for a prequel and a sequel, with our character’s parents and their children respectively. It was insane and it was beautiful, and having spent three years with that story and those characters made me be very attached to them and the players who wrote them

Sibyl has never been very much into social media, especially when her identity was meant to be more secret. After the turmoil and war of St. Mary’s she no longer had to worry about anonimity because she wasn’t ‘Sibyl the soldier’ anymore.

She never thought she would ever form a family, but being a mother has been the joy of her life and she sometimes posts pictures with Cora, her little girl.

Richard also makes  recurrent appearances in some of her pictures, the last one she posted of them was taken in a local art gallery they went to little after their fifth anniversary.

Her geeky side still shows in some of her posts, like in the photo she took of the London premiere of The Force Awakens.

There’s several pictures of cars. Sib wouldn’t be Sib if she didn’t post pictures of cars.

Even after settling into a more peaceful lifestyle, a part of the warrior she once was still lives in her. Her training regime has barely changed and sometimes Victoria and her document those moments for old time’s sake, recalling their time as comrades.

ADVENT CALENDAR RP MEME - DAY 12 (Part III): AN OC OTP LUKAS & ARYADNA - FCs: Nico Tortorella & Imogen Poots St. Mary's saga

I may or may not post as 4th part to this. Sorry not sorry, I just happen to truly cherish some of the relationships my characters have formed. But anyway, I just had to give Arya and Lukas a spot here. It was a joy to have my baby girl grow so much side by side with Lukas. I love everything about her relationship with him, every single stage of it; from the times when they seriously hated each others guts to the more friendly banter, from the casual hook ups to the point where they truly loved each other. They just scream OTP to me in so many levels. It was wonderful that they could discover how similar they were and started to get closer from there. For me that was a beautiful journey to take with my character, because it challenged her and it let her grow. And that’s something for which I’ll be forever grateful to El, because without her portrayal of Lukas that wouldn’t have been possible. One of my favorite things about it is that for the most part the true Arya, the one with all the vulnerability and all the strength, the one who didn’t give a shit about anything and the one who loved deeply, is the Arya that she was with Lukas. For a girl who hid her true colors from everyone, it was nice to have someone who brought out the real her. Lukas is the only person she trusted enough and with whom she never felt like she had to keep lying and pretending. Sure, these two are manipulative, lying bastards, bordering on class A assholes with a broken moral compass, and they can be dysfunctional as hell, but at the same time I always saw something truly magical going on between them. I guess that’s what happens with genuine emotional connection.

ADVENT CALENDAR RP MEME - DAY 12 (Part II): AN OC OTP JON & QUINN - FCs: Henry Cavill & Karen Gillan St. Mary's saga

See? I said, I’d post more than one OTP. It’s just that I have so much love for most of the couples that have formed with my characters I genuinely struggled to pick. I knew I had to put Jon and Quinn in one of these things, though. There’s almost something epic about them, if you ask me. The hero of this ‘epic tale’ would have to be Quinn, of course. There are many qualities about this lovely redhead that seriously make her the kind of protagonist that could be focal point of a superhero story. Jon, on the other hand, is a bit of an anti-hero because he’s let a lot of his circumstances shape him to be that way. His powers were always a burden to him, and Chaos Manipulation is inherently a negative sort of power that does more wrong than good. He’s a caring person, protective and selfless to a fault (this baby has a lot of self-deprecation issues). Rhi and I have always talked about how Jon and Quinn are some sort of embodiment of darkness and light. I absolutely loved one time that Rhi wrote to me that “he [Jon] kept her as the light by shielding her from darkness, which is somewhere he’s lived most of his life”. I thought it was so beautiful and so spot on for the kind of dynamic they have. The interesting thing is that those roles of light and dark alternate between them, because when Quinn was hitting bottom it was Jon’s turn to ‘become the light’ and get her through those hard times. I mean, they have had their fair share of shitty things happen to them, they have hurt each other in the past, and plenty of goddman feelsy moments have taken place in the course of their relationship. But the kind of devotion and loyalty they have to staying together is very inspiring (for me at least). There’s something larger than life about Jon and Quinn, and I absolutely adore what Rhi and I managed to come up with for these two. I would ramble all day about the one and a million things that I’ve come to love about this pair, but I don’t want to end up writing a freaking novella.

ADVENT CALENDAR RP MEME - DAY 12 (Part I): AN OC OTP TRISTAN & ANYA - FCs: Joel Kinnaman & Tabrett Bethell St. Mary's saga

Yeah, I suck and can’t pick just one couple, so once more I’ll be splitting this one in two entries (maybe three). I’ll try not to ramble too much, but one of the things that I like the most about Tristan and Anya is how well they connected from the very first interaction Rhi and I wrote for these two. I don’t know why, but sometimes it just happens, that two characters have that deep connection and they just ooze awesome chemistry. That was kind of how things went for these two. Plus, I’m a sucker for people who connect based on their own past tragedies. Now, he was a teacher and she was a student with an eight year age gap between them (honestly, I didn’t give a fuck about the age, but the teacher-student thing was tricky to play). Given the nature of the world these two live in (with the St. Mary’s setting and Orion Hearst being the autocratic, rule-lover asshole he was), the whole thing between Anya and Tristan developed in secret. These two were people who always presented themselves as rebels, as strong and exceedingly independent individuals, and once they began to open up to each other there were many vulnerably sides to them that were revealed. I guess that’s one of the things I like the most about an OTP, when a character’s personality and mind is explored further because here comes this other person that manages to get inside all those hidden depths. On Tristan’s side, I absolutely loved to continue to explore his character and play with his more vulnerable sides, with the caring side of him that he didn’t show. Because this guy had some serious comittment issues, he really struggled to admit to himself that he truly loved Anya, that it was okay to care fore her and that selflessness isn’t necessesarily a weakness. These two babies are really fucked up in some areas, but I loved how much they grew as individuals and as a couple.
