Downtown Sapulpa is kinda fun right now. I think it's open until New Years and I imagine it will be an annual occurrence moving forward. You should go check it out if you have the time to do so.

Roadside Attractions
I really enjoy traveling. My wanderlust began as a child when our family would travel up and down the east coast visiting family. I had an aunt and uncle who lived on Long Island who later relocated to Florida. I saw the neatest things on our travels. At my request, we stopped at many of them. Do you remember South of the Border? It’s a kitschy type of place. Loaded with colorful attractions, fun…

Day 26. Mile 2536. Winslow sights:
The Santa Fe railroad is now part of BNSF. This is a prominent feature of this area. The rails follow Rt66/I-40 and everywhere you see trains moving or being stored.

This totem was created by Peter Toth and gifted to the State of Arizona to Honor All Native Americans. It was placed here in Winslow because of its proximity to the Navajo Nation Reservation. It is part of Toth's Trail of Whispering Giants. He gifted one or more totems to every state in the nation. There are over 60 of these throughout.

I played two games of comp when I got home after my mini nap. I don't warm up anymore. I find that I'm better off just going in fresh minded and letting my body catch up. I won both games ( s3 rt66, s2 Numbani) pretty handedly. Rt.66 game I played Moira because Ana was taken and I got PotG. Full hold on first point despite questionable staggering onto the cart before capping. The attack was easy peasy. We basically held W.
Second game on Numbani a brief history. I hate that map. The first choke and the last choke really separate which team wins. We had the attack first. We capped super quickly ( ftr I was on Moira for the attack and Ana on Def) then pushed to 1st point losing only one team fight. With close to 6 mins on the clock you'd think we could make the final push easily with time to spare but we really struggled with the swap to rein apparently. We got a lot of elims but I think our tank ( Dva) got too cocky and forgot to peel back. Our Kiriko was hyper aggressive which is fine but I basically had to do most of the healing as we were being flanked by a reaper constantly. We timed out with 4m to push which is ok but still a bummer. I switched to Ana and this is where I started to realize how much better I've gotten with Ana. They took first point pretty quickly as the reaper went Genji, our Dva was all the way by the first bridge and our Kiriko was flanking the off lane. Too much flanking just spreads our resources out too far. I died then the time died. We go to hold the second choke I take high ground and once again our Dva decides to 1v1 the rein in the room with a large health pack out of LoS I try to nade but she moves in further and it misses. I did to visor the Kiriko already dead and the rest of the team falls over. We get one more fight at the third choke. Genji blades I sleep him two tap nade him all the whole the Moira sucks me off. No one comes to my pings then I fall over. We lose that point. I realize we have an advantage because the last choke is very tight. I save my nanos for the over ambitious Dva because I am picking up on her play style. We full hold at the point for 4 minutes. I slept a charging nano'd rein with shatter and no one woke him up. The Cassidy dropped behind their team and got 4 with deadeye and we all burst down the rein. I got 10 elims on that last hold while pretty much babysitting everyone because our Kiriko was all about the flank and only peeling when they needed heals. They were good games just very interesting. I feel a lot more confident with my Ana in silver now.

Pandemic Labor Day - Hot dogs at home!
For this most unusual Labor Day weekend, we share some of our favorite images of hot dogs past, and our hopes that we soon will be able to celebrate again with family and friends. Yes, even us introverted archives-types get lonely after a few months...
Of course, the National Archives holds extensive documentation re: labor and the struggle for workplace rights, including records on unions, strikes and responses, and debates about women and children in the workplace. See this Labor Day page for online resources from National Archives facilities nationwide, including the Presidential Libraries.
