Friday Moods

Have you ever noticed how Friday afternoon seems to be like a shot of energy for your team? I mean the closer it gets to that final hour of the day, the bigger the smiles seem to get and the better the moods get.

What if we can harness those smiles & moods and re-create them every day of the week? What would that look like in your organization? ... would that even be possible?

Another thing to consider is why is it that people look forward to the weekend so much? Is it because they dislike their jobs so much or do they simply just enjoy the two days off?

Surveys show that nearly 80% of Americans don’t like their jobs... leaving a measly 2 out of 10 people that actually claim to “enjoy” their jobs.

With so much opportunity out there, why in the world do people choose to work in a job they don’t like... for their entire career?

If you are one of the 80% who don’t enjoy your job, I want to encourage you to start thinking about an exit plan... that may be as simple as starting to think what you would enjoy doing. Then begin taking action every day to make that a reality!

Team J cup It's a long time since I visited Torquay, with its tropical plants and welcoming yacht club. A great racing event, but we were joined by 2 excellent Dutch boats...so our results weren't quite what we had hoped for. . That said..I had a christening on the bow...and the bruises to show for it too! The Regional Tibet Youth Congress (RTYC) in the US held a demonstration in front of the Chinese Consulate in New York accusing China of mishandling of COVID-19 crisis particularly in Tibet and shouted anti-China slogans. During the protest, flags of India, Tibetan and US were also raised.
