The Imaginiers are the characters that I created back during that summer when I was 9. I created each character off of a Crayola Colored Pencil Color. And these fictional characters were there with me, like a family, during that lonely summer. (Not all of the members will be shown on here, because I do not have enough slots to make them all on Gacha Club... The ones that I make are my best friends, or the ones I hang out with the most, when I was 9 will be the ones you'll see here, in Gacha, but you might see all the others in drawings, that I will post like a comic/book on my Quotev account. So wait for that. I got inspired to post those drawings from @leafith, who has one where she posts her drawings on her Quotev.)

Costin was named after one of his dad’s younger brothers and because of this, he does not like nicknames at all. To him, his name is important and honors a memory.

He prefers to spend time at the bar whenever he can simply because he likes the atmosphere, but he does still live with his parents.

He’s got a good personality for working crossroads deals, but he has no interest in it. He has no interest in hell business period and while he understands that his dad does still work for hell, being connected to the bar gives him a bit of an out.

OK!! So I’ve been getting a lot of requests about my OCs and I decided I was gonna go ahead and start sharing them!! This is my Main OC, Ruby Sorin!! I also gave her some headcanons about her family and herself below and I hope you guys like her!!! Also here you go @just-maria

FAMILY HEADCANONS

Ruby is actually not from Japan; She is from Romania. But her father, who is one of the top support engineers in the country was offered his dream position to work with Tea Idaten as their main support engineer and he took it. Moving his youngest children with him at around the end of their middle school year (so about 14/15) and encouraged them to enroll in UA.

Their mother, Alessia Castillo-Sorin, passed away when Ruby and her triplets were around 8. She passed from ovarian cancer.

Before she passed, she was a retired side kick from one of the top hero agencies in Romania; her hero name was Shimmer.

Her father, Marcus Sorin, is Quirkless; As is her Three eldest brothers; Dimitri, Jullian and Luciano. 

She has 7 brothers. Only five of them are biological, her brothers Henric and Alfonso are adopted.

She’s the only girl in her family.

Her family is extremely tight knit and they all try to keep in contact with one another at least once a day. They have a family group chat. It gets a little difficult with the time zone differences but they make it work.

Most of her older brothers live in Romania still; some are scattered across Europe. Her second oldest brother; Luciano is a tattoo artist in Barcelona. The oldest twins; Dimitri and Jullian, are detectives in Bucharest who work along Henric and Alfonso’s hero agency.

Ruby is 1/3 of the Sorin Triplets. Her other Triplets are Lance and Leon; Leon is in Class 1-B and Lance is in the support course. The three of them are triple trouble and are extremely close with one another.

Her brothers visit Japan as often as possible to see their youngest siblings. There was at one point in time when they all showed up to the dorms to surprise the triplets. Their tears could have rivaled Izuku’s.

She grew up in a Pagan household!! She can read tarot cards insanely well and it’s something that’s helped her come up with her hero name. 

Out of all the older siblings; Ruby is closest to Luciano and Dimitri.

QUIRK HEADCANONS

Her Quirk is called Shine!! It was her mother’s quirk and she was so happy when she got it. Basically with Shine she can manipulate the light particles around her’s and other’s body! (so long as she is touching them; like holding onto their hand and it has to be skin on skin or it won’t work with another person.) due to this; Ruby’s skin seems to always have a luminescent glow around her skin that she can amp up or tone down. Her brothers like to call her a walking flashlight. 

With her quirk she can move faster than the average person, traveling at short, instantaneous bursts. She can only do this around 10-12 times. And it can only be to a predetermined location. It has been theorized by her and others that she could travel at the speed of light but she refuses to entertain the idea as it could rip apart every atom in her body.

She can also shoot light in concentrated beams from any point in her body. Mainly her hands and feet. She calls it her Lumi-Shoot. 

Her hero name is The Scarlet Witch; mainly because when she uses her lumi shot, it looks almost scarlet in color. Also because of her hair.

Due to her quirk’s main thing of being blinding enemies doesn’t mean Ruby is immune to the effects of the brightness; She actually has to have custom contacts made to help protect her eyes along with her contacts.

Out of all of her brothers; she was the only one to fully inherit her mothers’ quirk. Her brother Lance can only illuminate his hands which is useful for working support; Her brother Leon however inherited their maternal grandmother’s quirk which is manipulating water.

She considered using her mom’s hero name but decided against it. Opting to make her own.

GENERAL HEADCANONS

Ruby’s birthday is May 25th, making her and her brothers Gemini.

She Placed in the top 30 of her entrance exam. 

Her hair is extremely curly and unruly; she has a lot of trouble taming it and it sometimes looks like a “lion’s mane” as her brothers call it.

She is Bisexual and not scared to admit it. Her first crush when she came to UA was Uraraka; she literally couldn’t speak to her with out blushing and it was adorable. Her brothers didn’t let her live it down for a month.

She’s a naturally sweet and very warm person; the kind that you look at and think “oh they can’t possibly have a mean bone in their body” but actually Ruby is extremely sassy and sarcastic; she just tends to keep it to herself and her close friends more often than not. She finds it hilarious when people realize she isn’t as innocent as she seems. 

Also growing up with 7 brothers she learned how to stand up for herself pretty early on so she doesn’t take shit from anyone.

Her favorite colors are Green, Red and Blue. Specifically Emerald, Wine Red and Cobalt Blue.

Her nicknames from her family are Little Lion and Sunshine.

She has a little black cat named Salem and she loves him more than life itself. He moves into the dorms with her and becomes something of Class 1-A’s Mascot along with Koda’s bunny. 

She has Anxiety, Depression and PTSD (the last one mainly from the training camp incident where she was seriously injured); she’s on medication for anxiety and depression but meets with a counselor every other week for therapy.

She reads tarot cards on the side to make some pocket money, but she always gives them for free to her classmates. 

She’s Hellenistic Pagan specifically; a fact she somewhat keeps to herself, but will gladly discuss her religion with anyone if they broach the subject first. Her deities are Aphrodite, Persephone and Hades. She’s even let some people in the class see the altar she has set up in her room when they move into the dorms.

Her favorite teachers are Midnight, Eraserhead and Present Mic in that order. She loves Midnights confidence and fun loving attitude. With Mic it’s because he always makes an effort to help her. And with Eraserhead; it’s because he’s saved her life and also because she can tell he cares deeply for his students.

She’s typically with her brother’s most lunch periods in the support room since Lance is a workaholic and doesn’t know when to stop and take a break. 

Ruby actually gets along pretty well with the Bakusquad and the Dekusquad. Although she’s seen hanging out with the Bakusquad more often than not since she’s super close with Mina.

Her and Mina get along like a house on fire. And when those two are together they’re bound to get in trouble. She also gets along well with Aoyama, finding him to be smarter and more insightful than people really give him credit for. 

She has a small crush on Shinsou

And on Kaminari.

She’s having a dilemma someone help her. 

She and Kaminari also get along super well and she finds him to be hilarious. He also has the same taste in books as her. 

She finds Bakugou more funny than anything else and just laughs at him when he threatens to blow her up. She’s spent years dealing with Jullian, Bakugou is nothing.

She also likes Tokoyami a lot; she finds him to be intriguing.

She has a box full of Polaroid pictures that she took when everyone moved into the dorms and she typically takes a lot of them still. She also owns a record player with a crap ton of records she got from her mom and dad.

She loves vintage things and punk things so her wardrobe can go from cottage core to punk/emo there is no in between.

Her room is very cozy and always smelling of whatever incense she burned that day; most of the time it’s peach and sage. She also has a ton of fairy lights hanging around the room and it’s always just very soothing. She also has a lot of candles. Like a lot. She has a problem.

She smells like pomegranate a lot of the time due to her body spray and sometime really warm like sunlight. 

She’s scary good at Hero History and Hero Law. But she sucks absolute ass at Math.

He’s sat here for quite the time now. Mind teetering on the balance beam of revealing something most secret. Dark, oozing like tar. To who? Daniel Molloy. Yes, yes. Sorin had caught up on the books. Interested most in this man who literally danced with death and wrote the memory of a time before himself. Turning then to find a lover and fiend in the same breath. The temptation clear in the pages. Only to Daniel can he share his own piece. Just him. Knowing each other in such a short time it would have amazed those close to Sorin that there is such a trust. The elder dragon would never be able to fathom such a talk.

Yet here they both are, in this quaint manor. Candles in their sconces lit. Being more pleasant than the common lighting of this plane and era. Forming vignette so deep you could barely make out the laced pattern of the maroon wallpaper. The little light bouncing off the gold frame of the portrait of his angel. Beautiful.

Turning attention now to Daniel. The immortal motions his hand to the low table to show a notepad and pen, and a typewriter. In the man’s mind now, ‘Pick your dagger. Should you wish to make a note or two.’

Then Sorin adjusts the collar of his silken shirt, being careful not to twist his ruby pendant. So delicately hanging on it’s gold chain. Not waiting for an answer he leans himself then into the soft velvet of his antique chaise. Leather boots giving a slight squeak with his legs crossing. One would think posing for a painting, of which he had many, not telling a story. Meant to chill to the deepest of bones.

“Daniel, dove.” Flying by softly and carefree, “I do not expect someone of your sort to understand why this is such a secret... Which is why I will tell it to you. Unknowing of where I come from, my acquaintances, family. None of it. Blissfully ignorant of such horrors. Ahem-”

Catching himself before he goes too far without getting to the point. Obsidian and gold goes from watching Daniel to staring at the portrait. Expression sad for only a moment. The disappointment he felt she would know should her spirit wherever it had gone hear him.  Cruel yes, but not the monster he was going to expose. Beginning as a whisper to fade into casual speaking tone,

“I cannot recall if I have spoken to you yet of my daughter. What you need to know before this is that I ended her as I had given her life. The actual secret...” Slight choke, “Angels have flights, flocks if you will. I devoured hers. The rest of them. Corrupted some, others still very sane. Loyal to all of their faults. It is the greatest sin you know, to kill such a glory. If you do not believe me, that is fine. No one would.”

Dead serious or half joking, this was another rarity of this man. What is clear is he does not delve into the details right away. Waiting to see if this audience of one will really give him the time of night.

most of those thoughts start cropping up when she’s grocery shopping. it was so much easier having a housekeeper who’d handle all her meals, and just the occasional microwaveable instant dinner. not the mention the fact that she’d never even had to blink at membership fees to an assortment of upscale grocers’ she rarely bothered to make use of, or the organic fruit she’d chosen purely by how big and shiny they were. now she’s stuck crossing her fingers she isn’t eating burnt rubber with her fried rice, and probably a bit too familiar with the convenience store’s selection of meals.

but at least she’s got good ( ? ) people around her. or something, because siyeon’d texted her to meet at one of the supermarkets on the nicer part of town. sorin doesn’t think she’s been here in the past half a year, possibly, but she glides through frosted glass doors like she’s a still regular. picks up a basket and goes window shopping, not quite bothered by the prices, though she thinks her wallet would blanch at them. she’s sure siyeon’ll handle it, in the way she’s come to learn the older woman handles most things—but let’s not discuss how they get handled.

sorin’s still got no idea how to pick fruits, still goes for the biggest, shiniest ones. it’s all about optics, right? picks up glossy red apples and a row of peaches pristine in their box. a couple of pears, yellowy-orange hued, moves on towards the berries and goes straight for the strawberries. a dozen beautiful strawberries, ruby and exquisite, sitting next to a small tower of plump, dewy blueberries. sorin picks a box of each in her hands, as if deliberating, when she really wouldn’t know a thing about either of them. a familiar shadow’s cast over one of the crinkled plastic boxes and she looks up, grins to find the person she’d been waiting for. “strawberries or blueberries?”

Blue vs Blue

((Runya duels the Sapphire Weapon.

Spoilers for the Sapphire Weapon part of the Werlyt questline, of course! And, as always, contains some Sorin ( @aetherstitch ) :P))

The brilliant blue sky overhead almost mocked him, as he and Blue sped towards Terncliff. Not that he actually expected even the weather itself to reflect his moods and whims, but it felt less...dramatic, appearing out of a sunlit sky to fight a giant monster with his own giant monster--

Blue interrupted the train of thought with a splash of annoyance.

“Come now, I mean it in the good way.” He glanced down again at a scanner readout, sighing. “Oh, it’s around here somewhere.”

{Yes.} Even if he was still slightly perturbed, Blue had perked up a bit and renewed searching the deep blue seas below with his eyes. {Hm. Not far. It’s close.}

He didn’t bother to pester Blue with the obvious question of where; connected as they were, he knew already, somewhere vaguely ahead of them, but not so close as to be an immediate threat. The sensation prickled at the front of his mind like a distant chill wind...

And it suddenly got closer. Much closer.

Runya had barely thought to go up before he was pushed into his seat by the force of Blue rising at a sharper angle, thrusters roaring and wings outstretched. Barely had they cleared a few hundred feet of altitude, however, before the ocean below them boiled and burst and a hellish creature, clad in dark blue armor, rushed out of it to snap at the tip of Blue’s tail with pointed crab-like claws.

“Ah, naughty.” He urged Blue higher, out of reach as the enemy Weapon circled below them in the sea, and only then did he turn his own living machine to face it, the eerily biological pattern in Blue’s wings casting crazed shadows on the VIIth Legion’s monstrosity. Runya chuckled, looking the thing over with a single glance; that was as large and brutal-looking as the Ruby Weapon had been, but something about the sluggish way it moved and the odd lack of ranged attack was halfway to convincing him it wasn’t...well, nearly as operational.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted airships. Ironworks airships, carrying a familiar humanoid machine. 

He clicked on Blue’s communications and spoke out loud, though his eyes stayed on the other Weapon. “So, you’re the Sapphire Weapon, are you? I expected something a little...more.”

No response. Runya just cocked his head, ears flicking forward.

“Come now, cat got your tongue?” Blue growled, and he had to mentally squeeze Blue back to keep him from just diving at the thing right off. No, he wanted to at least speak to one of them...

But all he got was a shaky hiss of a reply. “I’m not scared of you, IXth Legion’s pet. I can’t afford to lose--not to you!”

And right as Runya had expected, the enemy Weapon started to glow and spark and everything about that aether reeked of something disgustingly synthetic, something wrong--even as the exterior of the Weapon barely changed under the onslaught of that ‘Oversoul’ mechanism.

Well, maybe he had been right, he reflected idly to himself as the sparking and lightning died away. Maybe it was unfinished if it hadn’t turned into some monstrosity--

It immediately shot a beam of vicious energy at him, and had Blue not been paying more attention than he had, they might have gotten rather harshly hit rather than just singed on a wingtip.

The admonishment slapped him right in the face, cold and confused, and he rubbed his head where it had banged into a side-panel. “Mm, yes, I was just ruminating.” He did see the next shot and easily nudged Blue into dodging it. “My apologies. Let’s just end this, shall we?”

“Runya!” A familiar voice rang out in his ear, tinny from the communicator, and a small video screen obligingly popped up to his lower right. Sorin, fully geared up just like any good pilot, and the sight made Runya smile slightly as he just tweaked Blue to the other side and then again to dodge the next two violent shots. “Can you hear me?”

“Oh, of course.” He had to send Blue spiraling higher into the air to let another shot pass beneath him, and he and Blue both turned to see the G-Warrior rising to meet them, its own thruster-pack blazing with light and a gleaming energy blade in one hand. “Hm, that looks much nicer in motion, doesn’t it?”

Now it was Sorin’s turn to dodge a shot. “Runya, can we focus?”

“That is rather obnoxious of him, isn’t it?”

But a shadow of something unreadable crossed Sorin’s expression. “...He’s gone already, isn’t he?”

“Oh, yes, I’m fairly certain that was the Oversoul he activated just a moment ago. Pity it’s only put him on the level of the prior Weapon before it went completely mad.” He finally put Blue into a dive with a single thought and a push to the controls, laughing to himself. “Come, come. Let’s end this quickly, shall we?”

And the G-Warrior dived with him, sliding between Blue and the Sapphire Weapon as it fired a hellish beam straight into a glimmering angular shield around Sorin’s machine--

Runya landed Blue on Terncliff’s...well, cliff, and hopped out of the cockpit, feeling more bored than elated. That had been easy. As powerful as that cannon had been--and as much as a violent blow from the Sapphire Weapon’s tail still had his everything aching in protest--that Weapon had been simple to deal with, too slow to effectively fight Blue let alone Blue and the G-Warrior combined. 

“Runya?” Speaking of--Sorin had long since dismounted his own machine much earlier, and came trotting over with his tail flicking behind him in worry, leaving a cluster of the others behind him at some distance near Terncliff’s center. “Are you alright?”

Runya snorted. “As if that was even a challenge. He merely slapped me once and that was all.”

But at that, Sorin raised his brows.

“I suppose we should be grateful that it was so simple,” Runya continued, stretching his arms over his head with a wince. “Especially with your...interesting...machine’s surprisingly-adequate performance--do remind me to ask you more about that thing later, that shield was a pleasant surprise--but I can’t help but wonder if the other Weapon that was supposed to be here was as shoddily-made, or if they’re saving the best for later.”

Sorin glanced away. “...We should be grateful it was so simple, yes,” he admitted, with a hint of reluctance. “Far be it from me to enjoy killing, but if the other option is to let these superweapons run wild...”

“Exactly.” Runya waved a hand, distracted by his own thoughts. “Did you learn anything from them, by the way, about it? I saw you speaking to that lot of engineers and dear Baelsar.”

And even if Sorin frowned at the angry purr behind the final two words, he didn’t outright mention anything. “Just that...the pilot died like the last. Fused to that thing.” His nose wrinkled in disgust and his ears set back. “I don’t think madness is what’s driving Baelsar’s adoptive children on, but to willingly do that to themselves--”

“It seems an awful lot like it, doesn’t it?” Runya finished, glancing over at his friend with a wry smile.

And Sorin just sighed. But he nodded, too. “It reminds me of someone, Runya.”

But the pointed barb went ignored. “Ah, well, regardless, they’re trying to harm us, so it’s up to us to harm them first.” He patted one of Blue’s massive talons. “Isn’t that right, dear?”

{...Yes.} The cautious reply trickled into both their minds, judging by how Sorin jumped and rubbed the side of his head. {But. No enjoyment doing it. Just want them to stop.}

Runya rolled his eyes. “Mm, I don’t--”

“Yes,” Sorin interrupted, reaching past Runya to give Blue’s giant claw a pat, “that’s very true. Some people need to be stopped, but we shouldn’t enjoy doing it.” ‘Runya’ was the unspoken addition to the remark...again. 

And Runya just clicked his tongue and did actually respond to it this time. “You’re going to confuse him trying to imprint your morals onto him.” The word held no small distaste, but Sorin just smiled and stared him down as if daring Runya to get into that argument in front of a bunch of people.

...The prat.

“He does like listening to me as well as you, you know.”

And that was the shite of it. Blue didn’t just listen to him; he listened to Sorin just as much. It was a wrinkle he hadn’t anticipated--much like Sorin himself.

“Well, have we nailed down where the other ones are yet?” Runya went on, looking and sounding much more casual than he felt. 

“Mm, not yet...” But Sorin suddenly looked up at the Weapon. “Wait, did the IXth Legion ever have anything to do with the VIIth? I know the XIVth let them have the land for a lab, but...do you know anything about these?”

A long, long pause from Blue. The Weapon was just looking...not at Sorin, but somewhere past him, the claw-tipped tail swirling slowly behind him.

{...HE didn’t like him.} The face of Merceus flitted across Runya’s mind and he instinctively swatted at thin air in surprise--his heart hammered harder than he wanted to admit--but at least the answer was something. And Sorin, though he reached a hand over to steady him, kept his eyes on Blue, speaking again.

“The...Legatus of the IXth?” he ventured, and Blue just nodded. “He didn’t like who?”

{Other Legatus. Called him stupid. A fool.} But that came with no images or memories whatsoever; just the sluggish swirl of a mind struggling to remember something. {...Unworthy.}

“Mmm, the glorious and all-powerful Legatus Silentius finding another Legatus unworthy of being his equal, what a concept.”

Sorin sent him a look at that, but Runya just quirked an eyebrow back at him. “As if I’m wrong, Sorin dear.”

“I wasn’t going to tell you you were wrong, no.”

“Anyway...” Runya pulled free of Sorin’s grip, only for it to immediately find its way back onto his shoulder. Much to his exasperation. “Oh, come now, that was a momentary lapse--”

“And you’re clearly not doing as well as you want to make me think you are.” Sorin tightened his grip and steered him. “We can talk more about what I know, if that makes you feel any better.”

A thoughtful hum from Runya, but he did acquiesce. He would be lying to say that that didn’t sound good to him...

After all, when he said he fully intended to take down all of these Weapons with his own, he meant it. Even if he himself didn’t deign to speak to Baelsar again--yet--Sorin had and clearly knew more than he was letting on...and Runya fully intended to pick his brain for it.

(The more he knew his enemies, the more he effectively he could gut them to death. And that was all he wanted. The VIIth Legion’s Weapons were as good a place to start with that than any.)

Just random Libra headcannons

Ok I’m going to be including some of my OCs in here and I hope you guys are buckled up, it’s going to be a long post so i’m putting it under the cut.

Zap’s real name is actually Zahir. Zap was a nickname given to him by his mother when he was a kid and it just kinda stuck.

Also Zap is a major Mama’s boy and loves her with all his heart. He calls her everyday to fill her in on things.

Zed isn’t actually as up tight as he seems, he’s actually quite funny and has a good set of joke if you get to know him.

Both Chain and Leo are incredible dancers. Chain was trained in classical ballroom from a very young age and Leo learned from his grandparents and his mother enrolling him in jazz and ballroom classes.

Steven got the scar on his face when he and Klaus were just starting out as Fang Hunters.

Dog and Deldro keep one another in check and are honestly the friendliest duo in LIBRA by far. Dog and Deldro are friends with mainly Leo and the Sorin twins.

Klaus’s love of gardening comes from his late grandmother; she taught him everything he knew and he picked up the mantle of being the gardener in the family after she died.

K.K and Steven are actually good friends, they just tend to be dicks to one another. It’s how they show affection.

K.K is like the mother hen of LIBRA, if you’re hurt on a mission she’s the first one to baby you on the way to the hospital. She also makes food and coffee and is one of the best people to vent to about your problems. 

Steven actually looks out a lot for the younger members, more than they really know. 

Klaus is the godfather to K.K’s children. They call him “Uncle Klausy” much to his delight. 

After the whole incident with the King of Despair, Black actually starts working with LIBRA on some missions and is slowly inducted in over time, the whole team loves him.

Ruby and her twin brother Leon are the newest members of LIBRA. Leon is a blood uses and uses something called the “Blood Hammer” technique, while Ruby is the only true witch that the team has ever met. The two of them came to LIBRA from another division that was based in Eastern Europe. Their other  6 siblings run LIBRA Romania and Cuba.

Leonardo is full-blooded Italian and can speak it perfectly. You know when he’s either very tired or very pissed because he’ll start slipping back and forth between italian and english.

Since we’re on the topic of languages and ethnicities here are a few more.

Zap is part indian on his mothers side and pakistani on his fathers side. He can speak Hindi fluently as well since it’s his second language. LIBRA has only heard him speak it a handful of times to his mother when he’s on the phone with her. 

Chain is half Japanese on her father’s side and can speak it a little bit, but her father passed before he could fully teach her so she’s trying to get Steven to help her since he speaks it fluently.

Ruby and her brother can both speak four languages in total, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and English. While their Italian isn’t the best, Leo has been helping them learn more.

Klaus is German/French and can speak both very well. Steven can speak fluent Spanish and Latin.

K.K speaks fluent polish.

Ruby and Chain are both very close friends and are a force of nature when paired up together. LIBRA has a rule, if you ever see Ruby and Chain whispering and giggling; run, just run.

When Zap actually likes a girl (or boy) in a realtionship manner and not in just an exclusively sexual manner, he tends to get rather shy and almost clam up. All traces of the smooth man is gone and you’re left with a dork.

Speaking of which, Zap kinda has a big small crush on Ruby and he literally can not function when she’s around. The first words out of his mouth when he met her was “Pretty” everyone else laughed but Ruby found it endearing.

Ruby definitely returns the big small crush.

Leonardo is bi and has honestly had a hard time coming to terms with it because he was raised catholic. But when he comes out to LIBRA, they just hug him and tell him how brace he is.

Zap has failed about 12,000 times now to get the drop on Klaus.

Chain laughs every single time.

BACKGROUND/HEADCANONS.

Segunda filha de dois ex-âncoras de TV famosos, seu pai do Japão e sua mãe da Coreia do Sul, a infância de Asami já foi desde o início conturbada, a riqueza, tanto material, quanto de conhecimento, dos pais não os impediu de serem incapazes de superar as barreiras culturais, mesmo quando ambos decidiram morar nos Estados Unidos. Ambos desejavam que os filhos seguissem as vidas de celebridades assim como eles e, na época morando em Boston, o irmão de Asami já estava no caminho para isso quando ela nasceu, sendo uma criança prodígio em baseball. Já a tendência da pequena Asami em amar a música e a dança indicou aos pais da garota que ela poderia ser uma grande artista, mas foi o começo de uma faísca que levaria o casamento fragilizado dos pais a combustão.

A mãe de Asami discutia diversas vezes com seu pai pela falta de nome coreano de Asami no registro oficial e por isso chamava a garota de Seok Haneul (tradução direta de seu nome japonês para coreano), e isso irritava seu pai que dizia que o nome de batismo de Asami deveria ser respeitado. Ao ver a aptidão da garota por música, a mãe de Asami sugeriu que levassem a garota para Coreia do Sul para que pudesse se tornar uma idol de kpop, o pai se opôs dizendo que a garota tinha a aptidão perfeita para se tornar uma grande artista no Japão. E assim se marcou o início de um grande escândalo tanto no Japão quanto na Coreia, os pais da garota brigaram ao ponto de entrarem na justiça um contra o outro, o julgamento durou anos e foi rechado de intrigas, mas no fim ambos os lados foram considerados culpados e as únicas vítimas foram os filhos de ambos, o irmão de Asami, que nessa época já jogava nas seleções de base de Baseball e mais tarde se tornaria uma estrela no Boston Red Sox.

Depois de forçada a fazer trabalhos de atriz no Japão e na Coreia pelos pais, Asami estava finalmente na guarda oficial do irmão, que, já com a carreira quase pronta no baseball, bancou sua viagem para Moscou, onde Asami conseguiu uma vaga na academia Bolshoi de ballet. Enquanto isso, a garota compunha canções e postava no soundcloud com o pseudônimo Skyler. Com o tempo, ela percebeu que por mais que amasse ballet, a profissão de bailarina não era exatamente o que ela queria para vida e isso foi a deixando para baixo, até que resolveu começar a cantar em praças em troca de alguns trocados por hobbie e assim seu destino se cruzou com o de um olheiro da Culture Media que estava de férias em Moscou e chamou a garota para a vaga. Pensando que seria a profissão perfeita que ela estava esperando, Asami aceitou a oportunidade e, com apenas poucos meses de treinamento, ela seria anunciada como parte oficial do Nephentes.
