Fun little reminder for all Emma Frost fans that are making OC children or designing her canon kids (Ruby, Megan, etc.):
With the exception of the Stepford Cuckoos, or maybe even them, Emma's children would not look like her. Not her current appearance. Emma has stated proudly multiple times she's had cosmetic surgery; a nose job, breast implants, so on and so on.
Her children would not look like her because she's changed the ways she looks. You'd have to go back to her childhood appearance in the comic books about her becoming the White Queen.
She's naturally a brunette, for starters. All blonde genes would have to come from the Father's side. Easy example, Megan and Ruby both being blondes either came from Emma's mother, Hazel, who is a blonde or Scott's mother, Katherine, who is blonde as well. While the character design makes them blonde so they look like Emma's children, genetically, they'd have a higher chance of having dark hair, like Nathan Summers.
I need this known and out there for the world because Marvel won't remember it, but I will. Technically, the Stepford Cuckoos shouldn't be blonde or that identical to Emma either, obviously they'd either look like a younger her or like whoever the other half of their DNA comes from.
Please stop giving Emma blonde children.

The Meryway School for Unusual Girls - Protagonists
Introducing my newsy original story and it's two main characters - Edith Calista (left) and Ruby Summers (right)
The story follows Edith and Ruby as they attend, and uncover the mysteries - of their boarding school - The Meryway School for Unusual Girls - an all girls boarding school with students and teachers that are magical and strange as can be. I imagine this being a Book Series or a TV show, or perhaps a book series that gets adapted into a TV show.
Edith Calista is the new girl at the school. She's always had an interest in learning about Witchcraft and magic, but doesn't really have many friends and faced a lot of bullying growing up (she did kick quite a few of her and other bullies' butts though). Her parents do care about her, but When she's accidentally able to cast an actual spell, the Meryway School suggests she's a witch, and offers her to attend the school. Wanting to connect with people who are 'unusual' like her, Edith takes it.
Ruby Summers has been attending the Meryway School since nursery and knows it like the back of her hand, though she only started boarding in Year 7. She's a mermaid, and grew up in a Seaside town Her parents love her dearly, but decided it was better to send her to the school to avoid her getting bullied at a normal school. She loves the colour pink, anything cute, and the Ocean, wanting to connect with her mermaid heritage. Most people at the school really like her, it's impossible not to!
They're both 13 at the start of the series, with Edith joining mid-way through the Autumn term. A friendship sparks between them almost immediately, and they become extremely close.

Scemma alternative reality
So, I’ve been thinking—as I often do—about Emma and Scott.
The unpleasant truth is that in an endless series like the X-Men, they were almost doomed to fail from the beginning. Jean and Scott were the original couple, and it was practically guaranteed that at some point, someone in editorial would think, "Hey, let's take it back to the roots."
Plus, Jean and Scott have that epic love story—dying for each other, they have so powerful son, Scott being willing to sacrifice it all for her, their romance so unique and iconic for the X-Men saga… bla, bla, bla. Yeah, It’s true. It’s epic, and it’s special, and that’s why different writers will keep coming back to it over time... BUT!
Scott and Emma, on the other hand, had a beautiful, grown-up romance, with its mistakes and falls, where they both learned how to be different, perhaps better, people. They went through some of the hardest times in mutant history together, but... it just doesn’t have the same punch as Jean dying so Scott and all of humanity can live on.
For Scott and Emma to truly become that iconic couple, they needed something that couldn’t just be swept under the rug. Something that would forever remind everyone that these two were together. And I honestly think it would have been perfect if they were the ones to bring the first mutant child into the world after No More Mutants.
I imagine a story where the X-Men are fighting their last battle for the survival of mutantkind. There aren’t many of them left. One year, nothing. The next, still nothing. Mutants just aren’t being born.
Ideally, I’d avoid the whole AVX story arc—it was poorly done, not a bad idea, but the way they tried to paint Scott as the bad guy was just ridiculous.
In any case, everyone gradually loses hope, maybe they truly consider a strategy of retreat, secret identities, trying to live in peace. And then Emma finds out she’s pregnant.
But of course, they’re never left alone by humans, or maybe aliens attack, and the X-Men throw themselves back into the fight. Emma ends up giving birth in some tragic situation, and now I’m borrowing from Ruby Summers, because I want it to be obvious from the start that this is a mutant baby. So Emma gives birth to a red-skinned child, just to piss everyone off.
Scott: “Beat us, poison us, break our bones, we’ll be back, and why?"
Emma: “Because we like it!"
Scott: “Emma…”
Emma: “Because we’re mutants!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PS: You cannot stop evolution!
PSS: Ruby Hope Summers, because Ruby has to be Ruby, but the name Hope is too good to leave behind.
PSSS: Mutants don’t need Scott’s crazy ex or her reincarnation to save them...

See, y'all I know I'm right with this one and y'all can't argue on it.
Scott Summers definitely uses his kids as a way to dodge every outing ever. He's an awkward introvert with an extrovert wife and girlfriend (and that's canon!). Homeboy would a hundred percent use any of his kids as an excuse to not go with. To not have to socialize that night.
He'll have a nice night at home with Nathan while Jean (and/or Madelyne) goes to a nice outing and get away from the baby. It's a win-win, he gets to stay home, they get to resume life as it was pre-baby.
He'll gladly spend all night playing dolls with Rachel and chasing her through the mansion, going on the usual dreaded bedtime fight if it means he won't be stuck in a crowded club or bar. He loves his team but dealing with drunk and loud and all over him is worse than dealing with a sleep deprived toddler.
He'll take the day to drive Megan to her dance classes and her riding lessons and sit in on them both. To cheer her on and to get out of whatever brunch Emma hinted at. Another win-win.
He'll spend the whole day with Ruby clinging to his legs as he makes plans and grades his students' work if it means he doesn't have to go out to whatever crowded venue Emma is doing business in. He'll opt out of that and deal with the tiny blonde demanding his attention.
It's an easy win for him, I repeat again and again. It helps him be a better dad and spend time with his kids. Be present and not have them pushed aside by his job and the hero gig. But also, it gives him brownie points in the woman's eyes because they thank him for letting them have time away from the kids (they know his tricks, he can't do it too often, they're telepaths) and he also gets to avoid having to awkwardly stand in a corner or next to his partner, trying to keep up with the conversation.

Ruby Summers. Alternate future daughter of Cyclops and Emma Frost. Possesses jet black optic force blasts and a super strong and durable “ruby” form, which slows her aging and eliminates her need for sustenance. By her own account, she has remained in this form for decades, over a fear that she may age “nearly 70 years in seconds” if she were to revert. With all the “time traveler from the future joins the present day team” shenanigans that are common in X-Men comics, she seems like an easy pick for an underdeveloped character to add a wild card element to a future lineup.
