I don’t think rui would write a show with romance and cast tsukasa as the lead/himself as the love interest on purpose I think he believes in the separation of work and personal life a little too much for that. but I do think he would do it unconsciously & write characters that are pretty clearly based off of him and Tsukasa and 1) not realize this at all 2) not cast himself as the love interest. He’s like I don’t know why but this play just came really easily to me :) & tsukasa’s in the background tearing out his hair like What Does He Mean With This.

Rui: and I believe emu-kun should be cast as the love interest

you began to wear eye contacts because of how you were teased and bullied in the past for your heterochromia .

it caused you to feel incredibly insecure , staring at your other eye in the mirror and shaking your head .

but at the moment , you were at home , removing your contacts , until you hear someone climbing the stairs .

You had completely forgotten you had invited Tsukasa over to study , and your mother had let him in .

You panicked , hearing him yelling your name , calling for you , and you had just taken your contact out .

Tsukasa saw the light in your bathroom on , heard movement , and noticed the door slightly ajar , pushing the door open cautiously .

" [Name]? You in here? Ah- there you are! "

He entered fully , freezing up as he saw your [e/c] eye .

You couldnt do anything but stand there , staring at him , feeling yourself about to cry as you turned your back toward him .

Tsukasa had observed the bathroom, noticing the contact laying in its case .

mafuyu x ??? parallels

does anyone notice how many project sekai parallels there are? like i have so much to list out it’s not even funny anymore 😭 (also hear me out, it’s parallels, not similarity)

shizumafu: they both yearned to be seen as perfect by others. they were scared that they would let down others expectations and be seen as a failure. shizuku was about to practically lose herself if she continued like that while mafuyu already has.

mafukasa: both of their goals and motivations started from wanting to make others happy. mafuyu started from her parents (specifically mom), while tsukasa’s started from saki. both of their sekai’s were also made from their feelings and they’re both class representatives. they both have repressed things about themselves (tsukasa with memories, mafuyu with her personality/identity). how people perceived the two were completely different from how they see themselves. they both try to mask their true emotions for the sake of others and reluctant to showing them. as mafuyu’s emotions are slowly getting better, tsukasa’s are going down (debatable with recent events). how their parents cared were different too. mafuyu’s mom would smother her with “love” while tsukasa’s parents (technically) “neglected” him because of saki’s hospitalization (debatable?). tsukasa was neglected, although unintentional because he was left home alone at an age where he shouldn’t have been. they both also had childhood plushies (debatable because the bunny plushie was saki’s technically). also tsukasa probably would’ve ended up like mafuyu if he didn’t have someone who cared and spent time with him, saki. if only mafuyu had someone in real life that genuinely could understand her and care for her when growing up, maybe things could’ve changed, even just one bit?

mafutoya: their parents both pressured them to go so far until they couldn’t do it anymore, yet still they care about them in some way even after all of the things that happened. toya was resented from going outside to play with his friends to practice piano and violin for HOURS until he got it correct, mafuyu was resented from doing the things she liked and going online (seen when mafuyu’s mom threw out her synthesizer and mafuyu’s phone into her aquarium).

mafuemu: both of them suppressed their true feelings and emotions away from others for the sake of making others happy. emu is always seen as this cheerful, happy person who wants to spread joy and cheer to everyone, but doesn’t really share her feelings at all unless it’s to wxs. mafuyu put on this role to be perfect and a role-model to everyone. mafuyu also doesn’t show her true empty feelings unless it’s to niigo. they both bottle up their feelings until they can’t anymore and have no choice but to cry. mafuyu can barely even understand the concept of feelings anymore and is at loss of taste.

mafurui: i’m pretty sure this is less popular since there isn’t that much (nah i js gotta search harder) but rui couldn’t understand his feelings and dreams back then. mafuyu could and now she can’t anymore. it’s like both of their stories are so similar, just reversed. also in both of their focus songs, “cyberpunk dead boy” and “jackpot sad girl” names related too. they’re both seen restricted in their cards, rui being covered with a mask and mafuyu… it’s the strings of a marionette around her (she’s being controlled) and the mask (her true feelings vs her fake ones, the true ones being masked away by the flowers on her head). both of their problems were also caused by intelligence and how no one around them could understand.

so remember this bahooey? if you don't feel like clicking, uhm basically i took the screw you pusu band, tuyu's/omutatsu's bus-chan from the songs anoyo-iki no basu ni notte saraba and shuuten no saki ga aru to suru naraba and wondershow-ified her cuz she somehow ends up getting in some of my ruikasa posts (that barely exist cuz i almost never make them. dw my head is brimming with other less angsty ideas. [insert fluffy beach scene here but we're not talking about that now])

and well... i never really mentioned what happened to ruikasa with the inclusion of bus-chan to wxs soooo uhm. here.

so you know how bus-chan's songs are about suicide, right? uhh yeah... (i think you know where i'm going with this I'M SORRYYY)

uh huhh. so my ultimate scrunklies end up oofing themselves. don't ask me how or why. somehow and somewhy (a part of me wants to say they deserved this for eating my brain packed with fandoms at their fixer dinner date but also. THEY DIEDDD WAAAAAA)

i'm thinking for tsukasa it's more of a kako ni situation where he somehow messes up on one of their shows and it all just. spirals down from there while for rui we just. jump right to anoyo-iki

and right before darkness, a butt ton of white triangles cover their vision, as if they're entering sekai and all that jazz (they oof separately btw. and in numerical order, 1 goes before 2)

and then when they come to (apart from each other obviously) they wake up in essentially the real world, just. there's no one there. not even miku. (also did i mention it's like midnight forever. heh 12:00) so they explore this "sekai" and stuff! and it's just you know blah blooh bleh what is this place is this where you go when you die i must've deserved this then. where this au starts is essentially shuuten no saki "a warm flower bed, how inviting.../and bathing under this sparkling river.../and at night, all of the stars, they're just so close/but even so, there isn't anyone here!"

and before you ask yes. i am sitting on the floor, on my knees, raising my hands, asking myself what i have done and why to reach this

and theeen. they finally find each other. at first they're like OH MY GOD WHERE WERE YOU WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE with the huggies and the crieses and then the realization sets in WAIT YOU DIED TOO NOOOO YOU NEVER DESERVED TO DIE TTTTT^TTTTT just. "i just never wanted you to ever end up like me"

did i forget to mention. uhm time in this "sekai" (i'll keep using quotes idk what to call it) works differently than time irl, so irl the whole looking for an endpoint thing takes about a week, but in the "sekai". honestly who knows how much time has passed.

anyways from that point they're just working out their feelings. the main goal here is to have the accept what has happened and move on, i guess? they're supposed to find their self-worth (which in this state? is going to take a while.) but also. ruikasa confessioooon hehe!!! so back when they were still alive they had crushes on each other but of course. never got around to saying it. so now they've confessed and are trying to make the other see what he sees and then they slowly start to regret oofing themselves

from the start of this thing about two days has passed irl and yeah everyone pretty much found out they're gone (saki was lying on the floor screaming crying the liquid water out of her body. leo/need suspected something and was met with that scene. and they're all going to comfort her. basically time to take a break from whatever this above paragraphs are.)

anyways when they (scrunkles) finally accept they are worth something and regret oofing themselves and are like. "if there's an endpoint, a way out of here, please, i want you to go, just take it and leave" oh my goodness finally

the sun rises and miku FINALLY arrives (not like any miku or version of miku bound to any sekai but THE miku hatsune) (the appearance of hatsune miku) and she's like "hi i'm hatsune miku, not the wondershow miku but THE hatsune miku big deal i know. so i see you've finally realized your true feelings once more and blah" and they go "okay so can you... i don't know... resurrect us into the real world of humans?" and then she goes blink blink "i may be the one to watch over all of the sekais, and maybe control them but even i only have so much power. i can take you to another place, but it won't be what you expect." and then they're like "...what--" and then miku takes them to ~the in between~. you know. the in between of all the sekais to ever exist. the white triangley space where you as in the player can talk to miku. anyways cue journey by deco*27 (the miku version)

so miku's like "welcome to the in between! this is the place in between all the sekais and explanation stuff there are about as many sekais as there are people probably and whatever and here's rin and len and everyone else, say hii" and then she goes "so. as vocaloids we can just show up in any sekai whenever we want, but once we enter, we get another persona influenced by the feelings of the creators, or in your and mafuyu's case, creator and can't leave. in your cases thooouuugh, i'm pretty sure you can just. hop in and out of a sekai kind of like how you do normally, except when you exit a sekai you go back here rather than the real world. you can also enter a sekai and project onto their devices too! so you're basically one of us vocaloids, without the robotic voice" and then rui's like "...so if i hop in say this sekai i'll interact normally and stuff, just when i exit i go back here" and miku goes "mhm!" meanwhile tsukasa's just. "WHERE IS SAKI'S SEKAI I NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO HER NOOOOWWWW SHE'S PROBABLY CRYING OVER ME" and kaito's like "okay okay. hold on i'll pull up the school sekai for you" and yay tenma siblings reunion!!! and he explains his situation and stuff and his boyfriend follows him and they explore all the different sekais like me scrolling the ruikasa tag on ao3 and whatever.

i do feel like they'd probably hang around the empty sekai more (cuz ~ eMoTiOnS ~ and ~ fEeLiNgS ~ and they have hands on experience with the suicide and the self harm)

Your kid Muzan post is really adorable. Can we see more of his friendship with Nakime. (Also I like to think kid Muzan is still shorter than most of the demons , even as a child). I really hope child Nakime is doing okay. (since you said her parents don't take care of her like Muzan's caretaker)

I'm going to start off with how they became friends then just give off a couple headcanons on how their friendship escalates.

"Muzan... Look at me." You told a very pissy Muzan. He slowly faced you with a glare, then proceeded to scoff, roll his eyes, and look back to the side with his arms crossed.

He's just started school 3 months ago and has still refused to make friends with anybody. Instead, decided to insult everyone, claiming their a much lower rank than him.

You sighed in disappointment. "Muzan don't be rude, give it a try! You'll like it, trust me." You try your best to convince him while cupping one side of his cheek. In response, groaned and pushed your hand away.

You sigh again. "At least try talking to someone, Ok? Just a small conversation with someone. You don't even need to act like you like it."

He slowly looked back at you. His glare easing slightly. ".....I can't believe your making me do this" He groaned, giving in to the tourtures act your putting him through. You smile and gently pat his head, "Thank you, honey... Say bye to Rui."

Muzan reached his hands out to grab his younger brother.

"Rui, I am terribly sorry that I have to leave you once again. I promise when I get back I'll make it up to you. Ok?"

"...ba..ba.."

"I will be back soon. Get plenty of rest.... I'll see you at home [Name]"

"Have fun Muzan!"

" Don't tell me that.." Muzan sneered, but you've already walk off the school's premises, to hear anything.

Muzan sighed angrily and looked at all of his classmates. Why must they force me to befriend these idiots. I don't have time for any of these fools.

He looked about in disgust. Some kids were playing with the mud, not really caring if they got it on their uniform, some were playing with dolls, monster trucks, rocks, others were picking there nose, and some kid pushed a girl face first in the mud.

Muzan shivered in pure disgust. Why am I forced to do this trousers work? All these imbeciles don't even have the right to look at me? And yet that [pronoun/gender/ Name] what's me to become "Friends" with one them. *scoffs* I'm disappointed.

As Muzan ranted on to himself about how dumb everyone else was compared to him, a slightly taller girl ran into one of the bushes right behind him.

Muzan heard the noise of ruffling bushes and decided to go investigate.

Why? He didn't know. His body just told him to.

Walking towards the bush, Muzan noticed it was shaking slightly faster every second. " Why are you in a bush?" Muzan asked.

A girl with long black hair that covered her eyes peaked her head up. After staring at the owner of the question, she shook her head in response.

"No? What do you mean no? You ran into the bush doing who knows what and you tell me no?"

The noirette hung her head and shook it again. "Your confusing me. Unless you what to get yelled at by a teacher, get bitten by a bug or get scarthes from the thorns, I suggest you get out of that bush" Muzan said coldly.

The black haired girl stared at the other black hair.

"Your the person who dresses as a girl every Wednesday and Thursday..."

Muzan stared back at the girl. He didn't know if it was a statement or an insult either way, he didn't like it when people randomly commented on his choice of clothing.

"And so what about it? If you have a problem with it, I couldn't give two-"

"You look very pretty in the kimono.." the girl titled her head down and played with her fingers. "I always wanted to tell you that, but I don't like to bother people..."

Muzan continued to stare at the girl. He was shocked. No one really did compliment him when he wore his woman outfit other than his caretaker and Rui, even though Rui could barely speak, he knew he liked his clothes. Not even the teachers here complemented his woman outfit. Instead he got ask, "Does your parents let you dress up like that in public?" Or they would have private chats with his Caretaker. Complements were a rare sighting to get for Muzan.

And now her.

"What's your name." Muzan demanded.

"A-ah, N-Nakime." She answered.

"Nakmie..Nakmie..N A K I M E..." Muzan repeated to himself so he wouldn't forget.

"W-What's your Name?-"

"How come I never seen you during classes?" Muzan demanded again.

"I sit in the back of the class. So I don't have to talk to anyone.." Nakime answered, barely above a whisper. Muzan hummed in response.

"So- uh whats your name-"

"What about lunch and recess? I don't see you there either."

"I- I sit behind a tree in the far corner. Can I finally get your name?-"

"One more question. Then you can ask me your difficult question."

"It isn't a difficult question, I just wanna know your name-"

"Why are you in a bush?"

Nakime stared at the no name boy standing in front of her. Not knowing what to say, she apologized.

"Huh? What- why are you-"

"Kids! Come inside! It's time for class!" A teacher yelled.

Muzan watched as Nakmie rushed to get her stuff and walk passed Muzan to go inside.

She was a strange girl.... But Muzan didn't see her as a disgusting idiot, she saw her as someone worthy of his time.

Ok Headcanon time!

- Muzan Dresses up in his kimono a lot more than usual

- Now and forever sits next to Nakmie and threatens anyone who dare disturbs their time together

- Nakime's bag is for some reason always heavy, so Muzan carries it for her so she can hold her biwa

- Muzan is the only person she trusts with her Biwa

- But Muzan rarely holds it in fear of losing that trust

- Muzan defends her when it comes to people bullying her or forcing her to talk

- Muzan has never seen Nakime cry until this one time and it scared the living shit out of him, he knew Nakime wasn't childish so if she was crying it was for a serious reason

- Nakime eventually did calm down and Muzan started to ask a whole lot of questions that Nakime refused to answer

- Muzan didn't give up but decided to put the subject aside for now

- So instead He asked Nakime

"How would you like to take this relationship further?"

"Relationship? You mean Friendship?"

"Samething. How would you like to take this Relationship.. or in your words 'Friendship' further? What do people usually do in situation?"

" W-Well they hang-out a lot, talk to each other, have sleepovers I guess-"

"What is that? A sleepover... is it exactly what the name protrades?"

"Yeah.. or it can be just small hang outs at each other's-"

"Nakime your coming over to my establishment and I will not be taking no for an answer."

- Nakime wasn't going to say no in the first place. She finally made a friend and she'll do whatever it takes to stay friends

- Even if it meant disobeying her parents wishes

- Just like what I said in the child Muzan headcanons, you were excited to see Muzan making a new friend

- You welcomed her home as if she was your new daughter

- But you couldn't adore her for long due to the fact Muzan already had plans with her

- Yes he showed Rui to Nakmie and yes Rui likes Nakmie

- Nakmie helps Muzan reach certain items he can't reach

- He hates the fact that he's short but is thankful so he doesn't have to ask someone else to help him

- Muzan later did figure out that Nakmie wasn't being taken cared of that well at home

- Some days Nakmie would come up to him and ask if she smells bad

- Or ask if she has bruises or cuts

- Or she would straight up run up to him on the verge of tears with a broken biwa in her hands

- He didn't want his favorite and only friend taken away so he did what had to be done

- He took her to his house everyday and no one could take her away from him

- Has grown attacted to Nakmie but he doesn't even know that he has

- Nakime has grown attached to Muzan and the rest of his Family and she is well aware of that

- You stopped questioning why Muzan's always bringing Nakmie with him she's like your second daughter now

Laughter floats through the air and up a sweeping cliff, gathering around a pair of figures standing at the edge. Linh glances back at her brother, hair pulled back into a low ponytail. She’s smiling- she’s always smiling. Tam wonders sometimes how she can be so happy, looking at all they’ve lost. 

“Come on,” she says, holding out a hand. “You’ll be fine.” 

Tam quirks an eyebrow. “You can’t guarantee that.”

Linh raises a hand in the air, and the water below them rises with it, a huge shimmering bubble. She grins at Tam. 

“Yes I can. Just jump.”

The sun beats down on his back as Tam stares down at the ocean. It’s safe- he knows it’s safe, but he can’t stop his fear. Linh is always the brave one, anyway. 

She charges ahead while Tam stays behind, rushing around corners before he’s made sure it’s safe. He doesn’t understand, really- how she can be so happy, so fearless, so Linh. 

“Come on,” Linh says again, grabbing his hand. “On three, okay? One…”

She’s amazing. 

“Two…”

She’s powerful.

“Three!”

And Tam knows that they’ll be fine as long as she’s by his side. 

He takes a deep breath and jumps.

Tam glares down at the dark streets of Atlantis, eyes tracking barely-visible figures on the ground below. He could probably see better if he dispersed the shadows, but that would blow his cover- and besides, he can see well enough. 

Well enough is pretty much all he’s getting, these days. He can see well enough, he can sleep well enough, he’s eating well enough. 

Well enough isn’t good, of course, but Tam doubts he’ll ever be good again. 

Finally, the person he’s looking for exits the shop underneath him. Tam was a little surprised when he found Ruy Ignis in a flower shop in Atlantis, but he supposes it makes sense; it’s not like anyone knows what he looks like. Tam only recognized him by his voice, and even that took a couple visits to figure out. 

Ruy turns the corner and enters an alleyway to the side of his shop, humming something under his breath. With a quiet grunt, Tam wraps shadows around the man and drops to the ground a few feet away. Ruy makes a sound of surprise and summons a forcefield.

“What-” 

Tam releases the shadowflux he’s been holding in his hands, and it slinks through the forcefield to wrap around Ruy’s neck, hovering just a few inches above the skin. The man’s eyes go wide as he scrambles to get away. Tam clenches a fist and it moves closer to Ruy, shrinking little by little until it’s a hair away from the skin. 

He chose shadowflux not because it was easy for him, but because it hurt. Tam wants this man- all of the Neverseen, really- to feel pain, to feel what he’s been feeling for days now. This hurt, this ache, always there but never healed. Not really. Tam forces the shadowflux closer, and-

“Tam!”

Sophie and Biana rush into the alley, both clad in dark tunics and capes. Biana has a throwing star in her hand, but she’s not looking at Ruy- she’s staring right at Tam. 

“What are you doing here?” Tam growls, relaxing his hands just enough to let Ruy breathe. Sophie narrows her eyes at him. 

“I could ask you the same thing,” she says. “Where have you been, Tam? We’ve been worried sick!”

“I’ve been out,” Tam replies. “I’m fine.”

“Right,” Biana says slowly. She turns to Sophie. “Can you bring Ruy back to the Black Swan? I’ll stay here.”

Sophie nods, shooting Biana a quick smile before grabbing Ruy’s arm and leaping away. Biana turns to Tam. 

“This is what you’re up to?” she asks. “Trying to kill people?”

“They deserve it,” Tam answers. Biana shakes her head. 

“Maybe so, but we don’t do that, Tam. We don’t kill. If we do-” her voice breaks slightly, and Tam can tell they’re remembering the same thing. “We’re just as bad as them.”

“Then I guess I’m bad.” Tam responds, curling the shadowflux back into his palms. He sighs. “I just want to avenge her, Bi. I want to- to destroy them as much as they destroyed me. As much as they destroyed her.”

“Linh wouldn’t want-”

“Don’t pretend like you know her!” 

Biana takes a step back, eyes wide. Tam only realizes how loud he’s shouted after the fact. “You didn’t know her,” he adds more quietly. “No one knew her like I did.”

“Maybe not,” Biana says slowly. “But I still loved her. She was amazing. Kind, talented, fierce.” She looks at Tam, staring straight into his eyes. “She wouldn’t have wanted you to be sad. She would have wanted you to keep living, not take other lives away.”

“I-” Tam shakes his head. “No. I can’t. I have to- to do this.” To do anything, he adds in his head. Biana lets out a long breath. 

“Okay. Just- promise me you’ll be safe, okay? You shouldn’t have to die for her.”

“I know,” Tam says, because he does. “I promise.”

It might not be a promise he can keep.

This was supposed to be standard. 

They’d received word of trolls being attacked in the woods off Brackendale- and while, of course, no one had gotten hurt, Sophie had decided to check it out anyway. Something’s been shifting lately, some sour wind sweeping into the Lost Cities and bringing with it the smell of death. The Neverseen are braver, now, and they need to be careful. 

They weren’t careful enough. 

They’re ambushed almost immediately when they move into the woods. Black-cloaked figures drop down from the trees, surrounding them on all sides. Next to him, Tam hears Linh growl, pulling water from the air and forming it into a ball, ready to attack. Marella summons fire, Keefe and Fitz grasp throwing stars, Dex readies his newest gadgets and Sophie gets ready to inflict. 

This time, they’re not going to lose. Not again. 

And for a moment, it seems like they’re winning. Most of the Neverseen are already on the ground, unconscious or held down. Tam can’t recognize most of them- he thinks one of the only ones left standing is Gethen, but he can’t be sure. 

It’s odd, for the Neverseen to be taken down so easily, but Tam chalks it up to their little group simply being stronger now. He turns to watch Linh, swinging water in a sweeping arc and knocking a woman to the grass beneath their feet, and smiles slightly. 

And then-

It doesn’t happen in slow motion. Tam doesn’t see the throwing star coming, doesn’t hold out a hand to try and stop it. Linh is upright, and then she’s not- she’s fighting, and then she’s lying on the ground with a piece of silver metal embedded in her neck. 

Linh is alive, and then she’s not. 

Tam doesn’t even get to say goodbye.

The first few days were the worst. 

He didn’t do anything but sit on the couch in Tiergan’s living room, staring blankly at the wall as he relived that moment over and over again. 

A flash of silver, a small cry cut off too soon. Blood staining the grass and getting on Tam’s hands as he rushes to her, too late. 

Too late. He’s always too late. 

Nightmares and sleepless nights bleed into empty days, and Tam doesn’t care. He feels time slipping away, feels himself get weaker (he’s not eating. what’s the point, when she’s gone), feels shadows wrap around him. 

They’re shockingly cold, but at least feeling cold is feeling something. 

So he falls backwards into the shadows, letting them surround him, crush him out of the half-dead state he’s been in and back into his own body. And slowly, the sadness recedes. It’s not gone, it’ll never be gone, but Tam has managed to cover it up with something else. 

Anger. 

Rage is what gets him off of the couch, what gets him to eat, what gets him out of the house. Anger is what makes him track down each and every member of the Neverseen and kill them. 

Or, try to. Someone always shows up to stop him. 

At this point, Tam is sure they’re tracking him somehow. Sophie, Biana, Keefe, Dex- someone is always there, telling him to slow down. 

Stop, they’ll say. You’re going to hurt yourself. This isn’t safe. 

And Tam knows it’s not. He can feel the shadowflux creeping through his veins; a cold, tingling sensation. It doesn’t hurt, not yet, but it will eventually. 

It’ll take over, eventually. 

Tam doesn’t care. 

He’s standing on the edge of the cliff again, the one he and Linh used to come to when they went swimming. It’s clouded, today, the water below gray and upset. No more sunny blue days. 

Sunny blue days disappeared a long time ago. 

Tam came here to find some long-lost part of Linh, to remember, but all it does is hurt. Hurt and hurt and hurt again, and it never stops. 

It never stops. It’s never going to stop. The only way is-

The water below is dark. It won’t catch him this time. 

Tam takes a shaky step forward. 

A flash of silver, a small cry cut off too soon. Blood staining the grass and getting on Tam’s hands as he rushes to her, too late. 

And a laugh. High and cackling. Tam knows that laugh. 

“Gethen.” 

And he turns away from the cliff.

They’re at a human picnic spot, sharing a piece of fruit the gnomes gave them for lunch. Linh’s laughing at something Tam says when a screech echoes through the air. 

A hawk has just picked up a mouse in its talons, carrying it through the air and towards a tree branch. Linh gasps and stands up, but the humans on the other side of the clearing are faster- one grabs a rock and hits the hawk in the wing. It goes crashing to the ground, and the mouse scurries away. 

The humans leave, laughing, as Linh rushes over to the bird. 

“It’s hurt,” she says, gently lifting a wing that is bent in a way no wing should ever be. “We need to help it.”

“It was going to kill that mouse,” Tam points out. “You didn’t want it to do that. Why are you helping it now?”

“Because it’s hurt,” Linh says, glaring at him, “and it was just trying to find food. And even if it wasn’t-” she shakes her head- “it’s a living thing. If you can help a living thing, you should.

“If you just leave it, it could die. No one deserves that, no matter what they’ve done.” 

Tam sighs, crouching down next to her. “Fine. How can I help?”

The security at Gethen’s prison cell isn’t very good. 

The goblins at the door didn’t even give him a second glance as Tam moved through the door- although, to their credit, Tam is pretty sure he still has a reputation as “Sophie Foster’s friend.” 

Still, he doesn’t get any questions as he moves through the stone-lined walls and stops in front of a chilly cell. The man inside gives him a sharp smile. 

“Tam Song,” he says. “I’ve been wondering when you would come to visit. Last time we talked you seemed a bit… unstable.”

“Last time we talked I tried to kill you,” Tam says bluntly. “Now I’m here to finish that.” 

He summons shadowflux, ignoring the chill that runs through his whole body. He’ll deal with that later. Right now, all that matters is his sister’s murderer. 

Gethen laughs. “You always were stronger than the rest of them,” he shrugs. “I’m not surprised to see you’re the one who went insane.”

“I’m not insane,” Tam growls, pushing the shadowflux closer to the man. “You killed my sister. Now you’re going to pay.”

Gethen’s eyes glint and he starts to say something, but Tam pushes the shadowflux into his skin and whatever he was going to speak is lost in a scream.

A flash of silver, a small cry cut off too soon. 

 Tam narrows his eyes and forces the shadowflux closer, pushing it into the man’s brain. 

Blood staining the grass and getting on Tam’s hands as he rushes to her, too late. 

Gethen’s body goes limp, but his eyes are wild and Tam knows he’s still in pain. 

A laugh. High and cackling. And-

Gethen falls to the floor, his chest no longer heaving. He’s gone. 

He’s gone, and Tam should be happy. Linh is avenged. She can move on now. She can be satisfied.

Linh wouldn’t want this, Biana’s voice whispers in his brain. It wasn’t for her. It was for you. 

“No,” Tam bites his lip so hard he tastes blood, falling against the cold stone wall. He’s so cold- everything is so cold. “No, no, this was for her. This was for revenge.”

But he can see Linh, leaning over that wounded hawk. She looks up at him, straight at Tam, and her brow furrows. 

No one deserves to die, no matter what they’ve done. She says, shaking her head. She stands up, moving toward Tam. What have you done, Tam?

“I just wanted them to hurt,” Tam whispers. “I wanted them to die.”

Linh frowns sadly and the memory dissipates. Tam sinks to the floor, head in his hands. The floor is cold, the walls are cold, he’s so cold- 

Shadowflux moves toward him, burrowing under his skin. Tam lets it, lets it move through his bloodstream and into his heart. 

Everything is cold.

- (I found so many things about Korean traditions omg.) So since Jumin is a very traditional man, he will do every single Korean tradition lol. I’m talking about presenting a goose (that’s adorable), both grooms wear blue, the wine ceremony where they share a glass of wine, and many more!

The favorite photo of the two of them, is when V and Jumin are looking at each other, holding their hands with big dorky smiles on their face. There’s also one where they’re exchanging rings and V looks so happy he’s about to cry, while Jumin can’t stop smiling. And then of course, the one where V just put a bit of frosting on Jumin’s cheek. They’re both smiling and V now has his nose covered in frost too!

The way it starts slow but then slowly builds up, and V and Jumin hold each other close, saying how much they love each other. Everyone stares in awe as the couple dances, Jumin teasingly whispering into Jihyuns ear as the dance goes on, and they get more skippy and more happy, since they can’t believe that they’re finally together, and they start dancing faster and faster, unable to stop smiling. They’re filled almost with a childish happiness at being with each other, they’re so excited, and you can tell by how they both move and smile. Until they slow down, and Jumin leans his forehead against V’s, whispering words filled witr love.

Could be Nayoung and Keun? No because, even though she comes from a fucked up background this just... the vibe just isn’t. Oh my god, Danbi and Daehyun too...

Damn, I so thought of jumping this but this is the song that started this all so I just couldn’t and I wanted to listen to it. This is also the song that made me do this in December, it was a must. I’m just gonna include a few genius things for this to keep confirming it’s identity to a particular situation/ship. But also, let’s appreciate the lyrics as always.

We all know how this went, Nayoung seriously concerned about his family and the fact that Keun was working a lot, it’s also incredible that we already been through their break up and that now they are officially reunited again, it’s crazy. The “your guard is up and i know why” is my favorite part in this. And: This is about a person who was incredible to me- just perfect in a relationship, and I was really careless with him. So, this is a song full of words that I would say to him that he deserves to hear.

Now she sees that he was trustworthy all along and wants to go back in time, tell herself to trust him, so they can be together again. Glady time passed, and they are happily together though, can you just imagine if Keun had decided not to get off the car that day? Or if Nayoung just didn’t try to leave for Busan? Or better, if Sanchan just kept his mouth shut? No? Me neither. I think somehow they’d still have met and would be back together because it’s Nayoung and Keun.

I had to read the whole lyrics and genius descriptions before to say I think this is Chihye and Lian, but like in a different sense, not a wedding one. This could definitely be Soonyi to Sanghee if they had met before he got married to Jihu, yeah because of the feeling of the song it’s much more her than Chihye. But the lyrics tho it’s Lian coming to Busan after being mia for years and Chihye is married to his best friend.

This is such a happy but sad song, especially knowing that she didn’t go and that didn’t happen, but that it totally would if she would say that, wouldn’t it? It would. And the genius just adds up: One of my friends … the guy she had been in love with since childhood was marrying this other girl. And my first inclination was to say, ‘Well, are you gonna speak now?’ And then I started thinking about what I would do if I was still in love with someone who was marrying someone who they shouldn’t be marrying. And so I wrote this song about exactly what my game plan would be. And lastly, Gok Inna here on: she “[lost herself] in a daydream” about objecting to her ex’s marriage.

Yes I’m gonna make you listen to this whole song because there was a lot of time I cried thinking about this song and it’s meaning, and I’ve waited a long time to tell you about this. Okay so, this album there is a lot of sad songs involving Nayoung’s life what the fuck. First to explain let me begin with the lyrics:

Nayoung was like 15 when she first met the nameless, and he was like this co-worker older guy he was almost like 25-30/so and he was really nice towards her, they played a few parts together of course not as a couple yet because of the age gap but he became a friend and because he was successful I think Chihye let her be around with him. That’s the age Nayoung started going up to parties with the actor's crew, Kim Yura (who I think is a few years older than her, yes like 1 or 2) and such... And such as any male predator he made her feel good for hanging out with them like it was a privilege, because of that she was obsessed with making him proud and making him notice her. First, she never had a father figure around, so she has daddy issues and second, she never had someone treat her like that, so she wanted to stand out to him.

Literally, she was a kid and he was a really old man who got close to her. At first, he was really careful, he was just like a friend, he used to buy her gifts, take her to parties and then back at her home like just to gain her and her mother’s trust. Which he did, that’s why Nayoung though she was in love and he had such fucked up games just like her mom that she thought this was the right way to love. Once he would give her stuff and then she’d call him and he’d say she was too fat on her last drama, so she’d believe him and go on crazy diets to make him see she was like “the good girl” he and her mother loved too much. Then he’d reward her for that, he’d take her on a date or something... Fucked up, I know but keep up.

It was extremely toxic maybe even more toxic than with her mom, but because she was young and everyone was okay with it, she was too. Honestly, I think Nayoung even though she loved him, she really did, she thought it was the best relationship she ever had (because she never had any).

I even imagined after they had sex, she really hated because it was no good and he became even more manipulative towards her, so she finally stopped caring for him, stopped picking up his calls and started to ignore him, not really go to all parties when he was there and stuff. So he got mad and wanted to cut her off a bunch of shows and dramas, but since Nayoung was becoming more famous than he’d thought she would he couldn’t, so that’s why he started aiming for someone else.

Like I said, she stopped caring for him and started moving on with her life as an actress so she became really big at that time, she was at the peak of her age and everyone loved her for being “the good girl”, “the angel”. Even though Nameless was a really bad man who chased young girls, Nayoung got out before he really fucked her even more than he did, so that’s why she felt like shining at the time without knowing the consequences he left on the term “love” for her. That’s why it was always hard for her to trust people, especially men. Also, the reason I think she was never really best friends with Mark even though they did work together, they were just co-workers. Before that, she was also best friends with Kim Yura, but because she backed off their group of friends a little, Yura became really mad and they drifted away. But I don’t think that’s something Nayoung really had the courage to explain to anyone because she never knew how? The only time she did was to a psychics after she and Keun broke up like they were trying to understand all her trauma and he probably explained that what her mother had was not really a good idea of love, that’s when she understood that Nameless wasn’t too and they talked about it. And you knew that story, but I think you always knew as Keun like only from above that it was toxic, so now you have the real details and how it all came to me when I listen to Dear John.

What a country twist, sometimes I forget this is Taylor’s old album. This is about someone that said she really couldn’t sing and trashed her performance, so she did this song and looking at this I think this is Sulji to everyone who says she is weird and didn’t really deserve to be in Attik. Also her to JYP when she was kicked off. I can’t really see any other reasons, you name it.

Seriously? Yeah, that’s the only thing I can see for this song. Remember her crying in front of Keun? She went home listening to Mean by Taylor Swift, I’m kidding she probably doesn’t listen to Taylor but still... This song translates the feeling.

I love Sulji’s development, she came from criticizing people on the internet to being one of those people she probably already criticized so she grew a lot when she was about to debut because she realized for real how life was hard. Before she used to just brush it off as if it didn’t hurt her at all, but as she finally did something she was passionate about and had a reason for it, she didn’t wanna lose it so she worked very hard. That’s probably why Keun put her to debut even though she didn’t have a lot of time practicing with Attik, because she was open to every critique to work hard and develop, that’s why she did. She wanted people to change their minds about her, her family and ex-colleagues, but at some point, after debuting she just realized some people are just mean for no reason at all and after all that, she was a good person and very hardworking and if they couldn’t appreciate that it was really their lost. She just came a long way for her mom not caring about her existence, then being bullied, then kicked out of a company, just to debut and work to be better... So this song speaks a lot about the people who don’t deserve her time.

The Story Of Us

Damn, I love this song. I’m dying I was just reading genius and I hate how much Hyuntae and Haneul this song is. Congrats Haneul you have another Taylor song, really, rEAlly. 

I used to think one day, we'd tell the story of us How we met, and the sparks flew instantly And people would say, they're the lucky ones I used to know my place was a spot next to you Now I'm searching the room for an empty seat 'Cause lately, I don't even know what page you're on

Exactly right after they break up, I think there was always this heavy cloud between May-b and WNDR because everything was great and had this bunch of couples and because they were from the same company they always had to be around each other sometimes. Which was weird now because Haneul had no idea where Hyuntae minds were after he broke up she felt like she didn’t know him at all as she thought she did so, of course, she wanted to hate him, but she couldn’t because it was Hyuntae and they had to work together sometimes too. Just like Taylor said: is about running into someone I had been in a relationship with at an awards show, and we were seated a few seats away from each other. I just wanted to say to him, “Is this killing you? Because it’s killing me. But I didn’t. But I couldn’t. Because we both had these silent shields up. YEAH. LET ME IMAGINE WNDR AND MAYB IN THOSE KOREAN AWARDS ACTING REALLY WEIRD AND PEOPLE TAKING PICS AND STUFF.

This also remembers me when Hyuntae left his pride to apologize to her but this only made Haneul be even more angry towards him, because he made her feel like it was her fault or as if she didn’t know him at all when she did and he just twisted by being a total coward. She totally lost her mind over something she never thought she would, because Haneul always had this idealized idea of love, that Hyuntae didn’t know how to portray at first and perhaps that’s why he felt like he was not suited for her expectations or to his as well. And genius: Now, instead of experiencing a great life with him, she can’t even sit by him without feeling awkward.

All those covers and acting shady like she didn’t care or like she cared too much, I think at some point Haneul just grew tired and realized how childish she was for doing this when Hyuntae didn’t even care and that’s why he broke up in the first place, right? So that’s why “The battle’s in your hands now”, says a lot. And “so many things that you wish i knew” is exactly what I said that Hyuntae said but didn’t have the courage to. This song is Haneul mad about everything but at the same time letting her guard down because she is curious about them and because she misses him, trying to know if he still does too. 

Never Grow Up

This song is so sad and so boring at the same time but here we go. I think this is for Yehjin and Kuen at the same time because I don’t know why... I feel like Yehjin would have this feeling for Kuen ever since she was born: listen up.

On genius, Taylor said: ‘Never Grow Up’ is a song about the fact that I don’t quite know how I feel about growing up. It’s tricky. Growing up happens without you knowing it. Growing up is such a crazy concept because a lot of times when you were younger you wish you were older. I look out into a crowd every night and I see a lot of girls that are my age and going through exactly the same things as I’m going through. Every once in a while I look down and I see a little girl who is seven or eight, and I wish I could tell her all of this. There she is becoming who she is going to be and forming her thoughts and dreams and opinions. I wrote this song for those little girls. Tell me if this isn’t Yehjin deep down to Kuen?

Seriously? Everything. Even though sometimes Kuen is a pain in her ass, since little it was her best company because Kuen was born when Yehjin was already a teenager so I think she tried to protect her in every sense even though when she was older Kuen made fun with her, still, they were always really close. I can totally picture ten-year-old something Yehjin holding baby Kuen and thinking how she wished her to stay that little forever, just like she wished not to grew older.

I have many ships for this moment of meeting someone and realizing this could be something really big like love first: Hana and Mark, because ever since they met for a few seconds in the club it was exactly how Hana felt for a little while and then on the coffee shop again, it was the same wonderstruck feeling that Taylor describes, so it happened twice even though they had no clue yet it could be love at first sight thing. Second, Ella and John. Because? I don’t know, the vibe from the song and how they met and she is totally in love, sounds like Ella to John. Third, Jinhwan and Bomin, that’s exactly how it went since they first met at the market and he was just selling seeds... Yura and Chiyo, ever since they first encounter there was something in the air and Yura was enchanted to met her. Probably Yehjin and Chang too. Oh my god, Hyanggi and Hyunki. IS THEIR SONG SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s go back to Hana and Mark for a second, because Hana hated being a model and when she met Mark over the coffee shop and they became friends it was different? It was like a grown-up feeling she had, he was different from everyone on the field and he was really nice, funny... So yeah. Bomin faking the rich life that her dad wanted for her, finding something real and risky for the first time ever. Yura also, faking it, even though she was finally openly gay she still had a long way to go towards life until she met Chiyo who opened her for so many things else. And Hyanggi, who finally would have a real love thing, even though she didn’t expect it at all.

There is a lot of ships, but you still can see it, yes? I can. I’m still speechless by Hyanggi and Hyunki though because it blew my mind. “like passing notes in secrecy”, isn’t that them exactly? There was a total spark ever since they first crossed eyes, yes.

This part “who do you love”, is very Hana when she realized she was falling in love head over heels for Mark and I think that’s how she found out. She was like “really? I care about who does he love? why?” that’s when it hit her off. The door part too reminds me of Hyanggi with Hyunki, actually wishing he would take action because she had a crush on him and for the first time didn’t know how to act around a guy.

Just to finish off to say how this song connects the feelings between a lot of ships. She whispering, this is so Hana... And the fact that she is so stupid and would rather wait on him than to actually say she was in love with him, it says a lot. Also, I can totally imagine this song in the background of their romance/story, you know when you put on a song, close your eyes and you can see all the keys scenes from a ship like on a movie scene? Yeah.

Better Than Revenge

This song is between Jihu and Soonyi because: “Better Than Revenge” is rumored to be about actress Camilla Belle, who infamously stole Joe Jonas' heart while he was dating Taylor. /// Also, this is Linlin to Danbi when she thought there was something going on between her and Mingyu.

The story starts when it was hot and it was summer and I had it all, I had him right there, where I wanted him She came along, got him alone, and let's hear the applause She took him faster than you can say sabotage

I feel this speaks a lot of Hansol and Nayoung to Chihye, like she always acted like a big baby even though she was their mother. And only they are capable to know what they’ve been through, that’s why sometimes I feel like they’d protect her because it was toxic in a way only they could understand. Also, in some aspects, this is Lian like you spoke last time, the only one who remembers her in a nice light like the “innocent” one.

I think as Chihye was getting older and with a lot of personality disorders, Hansol couldn’t get away from her because deep down he knew she was suffering too and that she only had him who cared about her in this world. It’s strange because even though both were raised by her, Hansol had more of an understanding of Chihye’s feelings than Nayoung ever did. So he knew how hurting she got on her last years alive, how sorry she felt and how she just wished it to be over even if she didn’t say it.

What a weird song, I didn’t remember this one. Anyways, this could be Kayn and Araki but mostly I think is Jihu and Sanghee (yes, I’m gonna insist in these characters, you will see why). This could even be Kyungri about her dad, seriously.

Oh finally this album is coming to an end, it’s been almost 3 hours on the row why did I decide to talk too much?! I love this song so much for no reason at all, is just a really beautiful song and a breakup song so it’s hard because there isn’t a lot of painful breakups that we talk much as the ones we talk much... But I feel like this is Bonghu and Sanchan. Could it be Nayoung and Keun, yes? But I think is too much of a melancholic feeling for their breakup. This is more like something that happened and went on for a long time, probably Seulgi and Hailey or even at some short period Sulji and Seth. Yes, I will take responsibility for everyone that I said. But mostly, Bonghu and Sanchan definitely.

Now it feels stupid that they had to break up at that time, but weren’t they just trying to find a reason to be free for something that they thought it would be big when in fact it really wasn’t?

Haneul also listened to this for the time she spent in bed sad about her breakup with Hyuntae, but it was just for a while. She probably cried a lot to this one.

I hate this part because it reminds me when I listened to this thinking about Nayoung and Keun’s break up and I would picture her literally using Keun’s shirt and just sitting on the floor thinking about them and every moment they had together.

Suddenly this is Seulgi and Hailey, the difference between their personalities and how much in the period they weren’t together they missed each other, not much like lovers but more as best friends as they always were. Seulgi did, in fact, a bunch of things she never thought she would for Hailey and Hailey also did things for Seulgi she’d never thought she would.

This part! This part right here is why I said Sulji and Seth, “life in pictures” and “hope it’s nice where you are”. I don’t believe Sulji had such a melancholic feeling of their relationship like this song, but she did have good feelings for it and that’s why I said this could be them too, she recalls it nicely like the only thing that lasted well for her. And how their friendship was something beyond young kids love, so they moved on quietly and nicely for it, they were real grown-ups in their breakup, I'm proud of them for it, there wasn’t bickering like there is in almost any breakup we have.

I’m gonna used this moment to dedicate this song for our generations in general but most important for us and our imaginary world that somehow brought us the energy to keep moving forward in our hard times, which brings us joy and that just strength this friendship to be something I never imagined. The 2018 version will always be my favorite. Probably because I watched it first. But is also the least violent and has the most respectful F4. They may be rich and kinda giant assholes sometimes but they are gentlemen through and through. Also the chemistry that this cast has was the best out of all the versions. You can tell that they truly do like each other. And helps the show tremendously. Also every character got an arc. Whether I liked the arc or not is a different story. Cania’s arc was the only one that annoyed me. I love Meizuo. He’s hilarious and such a sweetheart. But he deserved better than Caina. He really did. Also. Lei. I love how disinterested he could be and then a switch would flip and he is the boy that you really don’t wanna mess with. He loves with all his heart and would do anything for the people he loves. All while having some sarcastic comment and complaining that he’s tired. This version of F4 really did feel like they had been friends for years instead of actors trying to play friends. There is one scene in particular that I love. Lei had just come back from Taiwan and Ximen and Meizuo are playing a game in the background where they hit each other. At that moment it was real friendship being shown and I loved that. I also love that the original director from Meteor Garden 2001 came back and directed this one. She was able to fix the mistakes that she made the first time around and turn it into the masterpiece it is now. Also. Best OST. I literally listen to certain songs everyday because I love them so much.

The Japanese live action. If I had watched this first... it would be number one. I absolutely fell in love with this version. It took me by surprise at first with how violent this version was, but after watching the anime I understand. I love how short it is as well because that just makes it easier for me to rewatch it. Which I will be doing. Hopefully not super soon... but I have the attention span of a goldfish soooo who knows. This cast as well has amazing chemistry and you could feel the actual friendship they have. Matsumoto Jun plays Tsukasa flawlessly. He gives Dylan a fucking run for his money in that role. Shun Oguri plays Rui incredibly well. The way he says Makino. I can’t. He can put the best melancholic face on and it makes you want to cry. Every time. The amnesia storyline was there, but it wasn’t long or drawn out. Which I appreciated greatly. Also. This is the only version to not have the forced kiss/attempted rape. Thank you. So fucking much for cutting it. It truly is the part I hate the most and I didn’t miss it at all.

Boys Over Flowers. If I didn’t know about the Japanese version this would be second. This was the second version of Hanadan that I watched. And I loved it. I’m currently in the middle of a rewatch and I’ve missed this cast. They really do give some of the best emotional scenes. Jan-di can get on my nerves just a little bit which is why this one is below Hanadan 2005. Also. The amnesia lasts way too long for me... This was also the first time that I saw Ji-hoo actually fall in love with Jan-di. And it broke my heart. Great cast, well done version.

The anime. The sole reason this one is 4th is because it gave me a happy ending for Rui. The only version to do so. I love Rui. He is the most relatable to me among the F4 so I was thrilled to see him finally get what he deserves. The ending of this one killed me. They only had 4-5 years of the manga to adapt so they made up their own ending, as the manga wasn’t completed at the time this was released. And what an ending it was. There were too many emotions in a very small time span.

Meteor Garden 2001. The only reason this is below the anime is because of the second season. If the second season didn’t exist... it would be higher on the list. The first season was amazing and I loved it. It covered nearly all the manga and was very well done. But then came the second season. 85% of the second season Si has no idea who he is and who he loves. Everyone is miserable the whole time and it’s kinda depressing. I don’t like amnesia storylines as it is, so having Si have no memory of anything for 20 episodes is far too much for me to handle. I know that they kids just went off for the second season, as the manga was not yet completed but... they really didn’t need too. The first season covered pretty much everything.

Hana Yori Dango 1995. Yeah. This was a thing. It was cute. But that’s about it. It was super rushed with the relationships and they skipped one of my favorite parts, the date where he waits outside in the rain or snow for hours until she shows up. Yes I’m aware they only had 3 years of manga to adapt, but it still seemed like they were rushing to finish it. Sorry. No gifs of this version. So enjoy my favorite anime gif.

Tokyo Trip/Kurenai Enishi October 19-21, 2018

Wow look who procrastinated writing a blog post for this for 2 months (me). I made a mini-post when I got back but I didn’t really explain everything I saw and did in my 48hrs there so I’ll do that here. More pictures and me rambling about Tsukista below~

I only went on this little weekend trip because my friend and I had gotten tickets to see Tsukista’s 6th Stage Kurenai Enishi. I would’ve stayed longer but I wanted to save my vacation days for next year :P Luckily, my friend was able to meet me in Tokyo from the area of Japan she currently lives in and stayed with me for the weekend to watch the show.

I arrived Friday evening and checked into the hostel. It had the best prices for the area and was super clean and easy to check in and out - I would definitely stay there again! After that I met @lavendermintrose at Animate since I wanted to buy a penlight and shop around for a bit. We then made a spontaneous visit to the karaoke place with the Tsukista drink collab~

My other friend arrived at the hostel later that night, and we ate a late-night meal and were up until like 2am drafting fan letters on our phones to write onto stationary the next day.

On Saturday we went to Harajuku for breakfast (see first pic at the top) and scoped out the Tsukipro Harajuku Shop. We had timeslots to enter on Sunday, but we passed by it to take a look at how it was set up. After that we tried to get to the train station as fast as possible in order to get to the theater in time for the merch queue to start but Takeshita Dori was looking like this:

which is sooo much worse than Times Square so we were crawling at a snail’s pace back to the station. After the trainride, we got off in Shinjuku where the theater was and it was a bit complicated to find since Google Maps had us cross through and mall and back outside to find the theater (that’s also connected to a movie theater). The line had only opened up 5mins before we got there but there were already so many people ahead of us:

(the entrance is a little past that white sign board with colored rectangles). The wait didn’t feel too long ince they opened sales a bit earlier than the scheduled time and it moved pretty quickly.

My and my friend’s matching tsukiusas (+ my Sing Together Forever usa). I don’t do itabags so I at least brought these little guys.

The merch form~ They got stricter with the purchase limit for this stage (like one copy of each CD per person). (+ check out that girl's Aoi and Yoru itabag in the background)

The hallway to the merch sale tables/entrance to the theater was lined with Kurenai Enishi posters with art of the nenchuu by Jiku-sensei. They matched the red walls nicely lol.

(My face looks really weird in this pic so I covered it lmao) but I was super excited in line 😂 After buying all of out stuff there was a little over an hour until the show started so we got some food and the food court next door and started writing our letters:

My friend wrote one for Yuusaku and gifted local omiyage from her region. I wrote one for Yuusaku and one for Yuusuke. Technically my friend wrote it for me since my handwriting absolutely sucks and we were pressed for time (I would’ve taken forever to write the kana) but I wrote the whole message and she just copied the Japanese onto paper. I handwrote the English I included at the end and also signed it. I included some gifts I brought with me from NY to give to them as well.

We got to the theater as doors opened and placed our letters and gifts in the boxes then picked up the premium seat bonuses (2 group bromides and a shrine charm in the 3rd pic from the top). The charm was one of six color combos depending on which day it was and luckily for me that day was the Rui/Iku colors! Ours were in the 6th or 7th row off to the right. The stage was very wide and we were right in front of the little side-stage area where the actors come out from.

I won’t spoil the plot but I will say that people cried during one of the more dramatic scenes. I wouldn’t say it’s as sad as Yunemigusa though lol (I saw ver. Red btw). It was really cool seeing the new cast for the first time, and I think they all did a fantastic job!

The Mutsuki-kun higawari had Gaku (Haru’s actor) as some evil guy trying to defeat Kakeru who is trying to become a stronger ninja. At first it was just a pair of sunglasses talking while Gaku did the voiceover from backstage but then he appeared on stage in a white lab coat. It was really funny, but I can’t put my finger on what exactly his character was supposed to be referencing lol. Also random note: there was a reoccurring mushroom joke that I also found really funny lol.

The songs in Kurenai Enishi weren’t my favorite per se (I’m not a huge fan of slow songs) but they matched the mood and tone of the show very well. However, I do love the theme song since it’s catchy and makes me want to chant along with it lol.

Since I watched the Red version with Procellarum as the focus, the dance live was their group songs and solo character songs from the 2nd season of CDs. The background dancers were the Six Gravity counterparts from the same age group. Rui is my fave and Yuusaku was soooo cute performing “Oh… Yes!” Ryoki did a great job as Iku, and his dancing looked so pro I was amazed. I was really bopping to You’s “Manatsu no Summer” and he went into the crowd for fanservice as usual lol. For the entirety of Yoru’s song, I was just staring at Yuusaku’s face cuz he’s so bright and sparkly~ He had a big smile on just like Tani’s Yoru and looked like he was having fun. During Kai’s “Beast Master,” I was on the side Haru was mostly dancing on, and let me just say Gaku went IN on the hip movements and overall risqué dance moves lmao. Can’t wait to see that again on the DVD 😂 Taka had big shoes to fill as Shun, but he was great throughout the play and dance live (sasuga idols) and his Shun voice was even super similar to Tomoyuu’s.

At the end they performed “Tsuki no Uta” with both groups which was a lot of fun. I was debating whether or not to change penlight colors at each verse but it would’ve been too difficult lol. I had them on Rui and Iku for the whole duration of the song, but did all the name-yelling fanchants which was fun to be a part of (this was my first time at a jp live event). At the end when everyone runs back and forth on the stage waving goodbye, I was sitting close enough to the stage to tell who in the crowd they were looking at, and I got waves from Iku (who probably saw me frantic waving my green and brown penlights) and Kai! Kai also did a finger gun shoot to the girl 2 seats away from me (sitting next to my friend) since she had a Kai uchiwa and she was crying tears of joy all after that lol.

The closing message for that performance was from Yuusuke, and I could tell he was a bit nervous trying to get words out but he looked genuinely happy to be up there on stage. (Honestly, stan Akiba Yuusuke, he’s adorable).

After it was over, I wanted to watch it again, it felt so short! But we met up with Lavender for some more Tsukista collab karaoke and talked about the show and fangirled over stuff. I kept getting Shun coasters when buying the collab drinks, but in the end I ended up with a Rui at least so all was well. I need some more Growth fans to karaoke with so we can all harmonize on the songs 😂

On Sunday, we went to the Tsukipro Harajuku Shop, but I’ll include that in a separate posts since I hit picture limit in this one already. Overall, I had a fun time and I’m super glad I was able to fulfill one of my goals which was to watch a Tsukista show live! I landed back home at 8pm on Sunday and thankfully I was able to wake up in time for work the next day (due in part to me sleeping most of the plane ride back). 10/10 would do a weekend trip (or longer) again for a stage play or concert 👍
