It was all too ridiculous. “I seem to have, uh, left my baggage on the ground, which I realize now is not the best idea. D’you think you could maybe, possibly throw it up to me?”

          the speakesy was typically quiet during the evenings --- that’s why these hours were fangs’ favorite to spend there. he often could be found in one of the back booths, sipping on a beer and scrolling through his phone, or even reading a book ( only if there was really nobody else in there ! ). and that’s where he found himself this evening, cozied up in a corner by himself. he was decompressing after a week that felt like months, trying to find some escape from the grim faces around town and the dull silence that rest on the place. he was upset, confused and shocked by the death of pop tate, just as anyone else ---- but fangs had seen his fair share of death; it was almost as if he could say he was used to the feeling. people leave, people pass away; and grieving just wasn’t his thing ! he held back an eye roll as he heard the door to the empty area open, pulling down the corner of his book to mark his place and tucking it behind his back ( so that it was well hidden between him & the booth, of course ). the eye roll that came upon him as the figure made their way to the booth he was alone at couldn’t quite be contained though. he placed a fake, welcoming smile on his face as he saw the other though, and greeted them with a warm, “ hey, ” pulling his beer up to his lips and taking a swig. “ you taking it easy ? ”

ANGEL LEANED towards the front desk, pouting as she tapped her foot against the floor in a rapid pace. the door jingle made a sound and her head turned at the sound, ‘’ hey, ‘’ she spoke. ‘’ you got any idea when there’s going to be anyone here? ‘’ the girl pointed at the empty desk in front of her.

“i’ve got a question for ya.” when did she never? jellybean had always been a child obsessed with the why of things, never content with accepting ANYTHING at face value. she’d spent a lifetime asking questions - she wasn’t about to change now. “you’ve gotta answer it with the very FIRST thing that comes to mind, though, ‘kay? that’s real important.” that last part was debatable. she was, to put it plainly, exhausted. between the start of term work that was being laid on her at riverdale college and the extra hours she had been putting in trying to get pops back up to scratch, jellybean had never been so physically wiped out, and with everything being doom and gloom and serious of late, she needed something that was a little more CASUAL, and a lot more fun. hence - “what is the worst song on the chock’lit jukebox? don’t even try and tell me you haven’t thought about it BEFORE, cause i know everyone has - and there’s bonus points on offer here if ya give me some reasoning, too.”
