The music variety is so fun and the rhythm-puzzle gameplay is so engrossing!! The depth to all the characters in the story with a setting that's very down-to-earth makes it feel like these guys are my friends and coworkers for reals.

MY FAVORITE MUSIC PROJECT OF ALL MUSIC PROJECTS EVER. the basic premise is that there's this idol agency ( amagiri production ) looking to create the "perfect idol" and in order to achieve this, they developed a flower implant technology to nuture the potential of their idols. it currently has three seasons of voice dramas ( the fourth one is coming soon, which they just announced along w an anime for the s1 dramas in 2025 !! ) the first season follows the "main" idol group, anthos, in their predebut days and their struggles of "blooming" their flower seeds in order to become a full fledged idol group. season two adds another group, louloudi, and follows both them and anthos after their debut ( s2 also adds a new member to anthos !! ) and finally season three is well. i shant say but it's so good you gotta trust me i've been a fan for like. three or fourish years now its been great<3 aside from the story content though, the songs are truly so good !! i'm rather partial to s1 and s3 anthos music but basically everything slaps rlly hard wehehehe :] the lyrics are also insane and there's lot's of hint and puzzles/riddles/clues abt the story presented in them and in the mvs themselves !! also the art is gorgeous thank u teita <3 overall the project is just really really cool and honestly i think everyone should give it a try. trust :] ALSO last point but if anyone cares abt seiyuus here they have SUCH a good vocal cast its insane. in anthos we have seiichi, massun, itoken, tokishun, horie shun, daiki hamano, and wataru komada . . . then in louloudi we have tosshii, yamashita daiki, and takeuchi shunsuke . . . soooo good ouhh

Beloved silly crazy science media where a bunch of guys are implanted with a seed that blossoms when they reach their true potentional. The media is dark delving into different forms of trauma as we navigate the relationship ships between each of the members. The concept is super unique and the description of the blossoms blooming sounds so painful that I was shocked to read about it in a silly music franchise. The songs are ... so good lyrically and make you stare at a wall for a while.. the designs for all the characters really stand out. It's got some strange slightly immoral human experimentation science in a music media what more could u want.

• ethan & jesse have the relationship dynamic of two toxic divorced men who have shared custody of their daughter (jane)

• jane is jesse’s kid idc idc idc im making it happen its gonna give reluctant dad/mentor who’s lowkey the Worst Person Ever & daughter/mentee he didn’t want but NEEDED!!! they’re gonna be so good. im gonna eat it up.

• jane is ethan’s kid too ig but it’s not the same. like that’s her protector n her brother sure but JESSE?? he commits war crimes for that little girl she’s his baby

• audrey & ethan have the relationship dynamic of something soft and sweet. like she makes him feel grounded, but not exactly human. safe. i adore them. i rlly wanted it to give monster bf x human gf so i hope it has those vibes(?)

• rory & ethan (im so so biased i love them so much) they have the dynamic of puppy love. they’re just the sweetest n kindest n they make my heart hurt so much. literally aches.

• benny & ethan r very much old married couple. (they’re gonna hurt yall so bad in the last chapter for s1 like yall r gonna hate me!) they fight n bicker, but it’s like a domestic kind (until it’s not) n crazily enough i actually don’t ship them (don’t crucify me yall) but i want to feed the bethan shippers.

• sarah & ethan give nerd x cool girl he’d do anything for. like he is the loser bf to her cool popular gf!! i actually rlly love this ship n its kinda sickening, but i think ethan heals sarah from her past hurts (jesse u asshole) n sarah makes ethan feel seen n less of a dork.

• erica & ethan r just cuties!! friends forever!! like it’s black cat x golden retriever with them. while i don’t ship, i understand it’s a REALLY rare pair, so they have cute moments where they have fun together. its more platonic, i’ll admit, but if u wanna read into it u can.

• benny & erica r unrequited crushes. like i fear they had a crush on each other b4 she became a vampire, n after the bite it just could never go anywhere. she became too different, n he stayed the same. he’s bitter abt the missed chance; n she can’t imagine him ever liking her before she was a vampire.

• erica & rory have the same dynamic in the show but she’s just nicer to him about it. that’s her puppy, n she treats him as such but she’ll be DAMNED if YOU treat him like a dog. who do u think u r???

• erica & sarah are sapphic vampire gfs. soulmates, ur honor. it’s bad. real bad. i fear they are each other’s homes.

• jesse & rory give evil villain n his loyal henchman. it’s cute in a “oh he listens n respects ur opinions” kind of way, but he takes those opinions to further his selfish agenda.

•audrey & sarah r gonna be best friends. they don’t argue over a man; they’re better than that. unfortunately audrey is straight n this won’t be romantic😓

• s2 is gonna be longer than s1–so like twenty chapters probably(?) #longfic #somuchthoughtputinthis and i am probably gonna go back n edit s1 chapters in between updates for s2 but i rlly rlly wanna dive deep in each character. ESPECIALLY JESSE. this redemption arc is gonna go crazy. he’s a horrible, terrible, very bad man and yet!!

• i love audrey n im forcing everyone to love her as well. i normally hate OC’s in fics bc it’s like damn why is this person taking over the narrative(?) n more often than not it feels like an extension of the author’s personality. unfortunately if i was gonna make audrey an extension of me and a self-insert for me i would have her flirt HEAVY w erica. love erica bad😝 if anything audrey is just for fun. i was like hm? what if we gave ethan a little red riding hood?? wouldn’t that be sooo funny? n it is.

• i’m sorry for bringing this up again but the ethan & jane & jesse dynamic goes sooo crazy. so crazy. be thankful im not turning it into a louis & claudia & lestat situation bc i contemplated more than once having jane almost die n ethan beg jesse to turn her. i decided against it but the urge was there.

short answer: the fanarts that came out like immediately after ep 22 aired. then the barrage of extra content i found out this year

long answer:

the lack of information mixed with fan's interpretations of atsushi's character and overall a growing necessity to ship the matsus with other characters. at the time people had very little to work with, the show was sparse with introducing new characters since they often if not always were 1 offs that we weren't sure that would appear again (they changed this in later seasons ofc but we didn't know that at the time) so people got attached to those 1 offs. and naturally with fandoms people want to explore the concepts of characters dating you know the roll. but they had little to work with in the main cast. so they turned to the 1 offs. so when ep 22 came out people interested interested in shipping stuff saw atsushi and went insane. despite having almost nothing people still made interesting and fun dynamics with what they had! :-P this is where the most varied takes on atsushi come from, and it's honestly rlly fun to look back at fanart and fics from this time because people had super different perceptions of this One Guy that showed up for like 6 seconds total. some people thought of him as a cool regular guy that liked totty, some thought he was some sort of millionare trying to buy todomatsu's love, and so on. anything was possible really, they made shit up on the spot and there was nothing that could tell them otherwise. :-P and i remember back then i didn't have like, a personality in mind for atsushi either? or a specific dynamic, i just liked seeing them together and what people came up with s1 ends, and a few months pass and i'm not really that interested in the show but i still like it, i'm not keeping up with new media like hesokuri wars and i miss stuff like the atsushi set, etc. season 2 comes, i'm haphazardly watching it more as a casual viewer, and then it ends.

And then the movie . Ohhh the movie.

i went a crazy insane and i think that's where the genuine interest for the character and the ship started. like i'm writing this now and my mind is listing all the shit off my brain like they really gave the guy: -new lines -smug personality -HISTORY. WITH THE MAIN CAST. -new highschool design -rivalry type of dynamic and direct interaction with todomatsu like it was a game changer!!!!!! i was so excited!!!!! and 3 days later i forgot about it and didn't think about the movie or show again. :-P i wasn't caught up with all the extra media content via the games and i wasn't involved with the fanbase either so it just forgor.

until. 2023. i watched the 3rd season, i got hyperfixated with the show and now i WAS invested in the extra media, and i saw all the sets he had and all the interactions he had with totty on those and then i saw the skit in the 3rd season. and i was like wow they really pandered to the people liking the ship huh. lol thats funny. cute even. i still like them but i don't think i'm as insane about them as i used to be lol (denial)

and unlike back when i first started liking the ship now we had information about atsushi, not his entire life ofc but just enough to make a coherent dynamic with the provided info and fill in the rest. :-P and my mind went wild until with ideas until i figured out a dynamic i personally liked and could reflect in my drawings!!!

so yeah. i think this is the most invested i've been in a ship in a long time and that's because my interest for it has been cooking in the back of my brain for so long that my brain exploded like a pressure cooker and this is the result.......

i just finished mys s1 and here are my thoughts

i think it was honestly pretty fun, if i’m not trying to think about this show in a realistic way where aphmau would probably put a restraining order on garroth, laurance, dante, kawaii chan and travis-  and zane wasn’t arrested for breaking and entering bc of the christmas episode and katelyn, aphmau and kc weren’t homeless due to burning down the whole house and other possible crimes i might’ve skipped

but anyway- ignoring all of that- i honestly rlly thought this season was kinda fun? it could be the nostalgia and my childish humor talking, i rlly liked the funny slice of life episodic kinda story it was pretty great-

katemau was so prevalent (prevalent meaning small scenes where either i’m crazy and reading so much into it or it’s aphmau hinting @ katelyn’s sexuality) garroth was so fucking funny, i love his funny himbo moments and his fucking dumbass voice was great. his fucking “ohhh sprinkles!” moments were my fave- travis............................ when he’s not being creepy as fuck, he can be funny, but i think that’s honestly just funny voice that makes me laugh.

aarmau is so dry. i’m so sorry it’s so fucking dry. like i get they had most of their development during hs in pdh but i pretend pdh doesn’t exist (idk why i dislike it sm.) but yeah- aaron’s not really much of his own character, he’s not dimensional in my eyes? he’s just used to make other ppl jealous and to be The Better Boyfriend, if that makes sense? I ALWAYS SAY THIS BUT IT HAS TO BE SAID. CANON MYS AARON SUCKS ASS. I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABT IT

kawaii chan... honestly the whole shipping thing was so fucking weird. aphmau was like “im fine w/ u shipping us as long as i don’t know about it” and yet throughout the whole series whenever aarmau moments were happening, kc made it so fucking obvious? i feel like kc doesn’t rlly... regard the feelings of others except like.. michi. her character makes no sense i’m sorry. i hope jess writes her better even though i know she’s not gna take off the whole suffix titles bc why would jess do that /s 

another thing, her voice doesn’t annoy me that much? there were even times where i thought something abt moeka’s voice acting for her was kinda cute? idk there’s a sound in her voice that i find rlly satisfying? sometimes though, there were moments i had to take off my headphones or lower the volume because jesus fuck

Being King Steve’s little sister had its perks, but some of the time it sucked more than it was good. People were always nice to Y/N in class, usually asking about Steve or talking about how good he played at the basketball games; they never really asked about her. Steve soaked up all the attention, a cocky grin growing across his face whenever she would complain about boys only talking about him to her on their way home from school. He would usually end up feeling bad for her having to put up with the annoying people at school, so he would make it up to her by taking her out for ice cream or dinner. Y/N had grown to appreciate the times her and her brother spent together alone, because when they were in public was when he would turn into a grade-A douchebag.

Even though Steve played himself off as a cocky, popular dude in school, he was still a sucker for his little sister and would do anything to make sure she was safe. He always made sure she got home safe after school, always checked up on her when she was feeling down, and to her annoyance, always made sure she went to bed before ten on school nights. Steve felt obligated to take over as a father figure for Y/N when he got into middle school and began to notice his parents not picking up the slack like they should have been. He realized that they didn’t pay attention to either him or Y/N, but it took more of a toll on her, since she was younger.

The only time their parents seemed to be around was for their so-called “family dinner” they would have twice a month. Steve saw it as their way of saying they were good parents who didn’t just order pizza or have them make microwave dinners every night, which is what they did every other night besides these two days out of the month. Their dad would grill Steve and Y/N with random, awkward questions about school, sports and clubs because he had no idea what they were actually doing outside of going to class.

“So are you still in that...video thing, Y/N?” their mom asked one time, trying to break the uncomfortable silence.

“Yes mom, I’m still in AV club.” Y/N replied in a shy voice, knowing what was coming next.

“You’re still hanging around all those boys every day after school then? The weird, nerdy ones who ride their bikes around all the time?” their dad would chime in, disappointment prevalent in his tone.

She only nodded, not really knowing how to defend herself against her judgmental parents.

“She like the kids, so why does it matter if you think they’re weird? It’s not like they’re hurting her or anything.” Steve replies in a protective, yet casual way.

Both of their parents become flustered yet annoyed, deciding to drop the conversation with a quiet ‘guess it doesn’t matter’ from their dad. Conversations like this seemed too common at the dinner table; they would make some snide remark about what the kids were doing and either Y/N or Steve would stick up for the other, trying to make them feel better. It got old after a while, but it just seemed to be something to get used to.

Y/N was the only girl in her friend group, the party, but she didn’t mind; Steve minded, though. Steve noticed one of them, Dustin, always making eyes at Y/N and would tell him to back off every once in a while. When he would come pick her up from the Wheeler’s and Dustin would walk with her to the door, Steve would give him warning looks which would cause him to call Steve an asshole under his breath every time. Y/N would try to give Steve a taste of his own medicine when he started hanging around Nancy, giving her dirty looks when she would see them together. It didn’t work, though. Y/N grew to like Nancy because she thought she made Steve better, into more of a normal boy and into less of a douchebag-ish King Steve.

Everything took a turn for the worst when November hit. Will went missing and things got rocky between Nancy and Steve. Steve reverted to his old, douchebag self to save the family’s reputation from being tarnished and left his sister in the dust. Not that she even realized it, though. She was busy looking for Will every night. When they met Eleven, Y/N would stay at Mike’s house trying to comfort her or get some information out of her. The two grew closer as time went on, Y/N seemed to be the only person besides Mike that Eleven would even speak to. Lucas and Dustin would play some games or nap in the basement while Y/N and Mike would talk El’s ear off, trying to make her feel comfortable, for hours until Steve would come pounding down the door looking for her.

“Why are you going over there so much anyways? You aren’t playing any campaigns right now obviously.” Steve snapped when they got back to Loch Nora from the Wheeler’s as Y/N sat in the passenger seat with tears in her eyes.

“I miss my friend okay? Me and the party actually want to find him or find out what happened to him! You don’t care that one of my best friends just disappeared into thin air and you don't even care that Barb disappeared from our house that night. All you care about is mom and dad finding out about the beers and cigarettes you had, you jerk. I thought you would be a helpful and understanding older brother in situations like this, but obviously not.” Y/N says before stomping out of the car as Steve parked in the garage.

He doesn’t follow her, doesn’t try to apologize, doesn’t leave the car. He had no idea what to say, but he begins to realize what an asshole he really is. But that didn’t stop him from avoiding Y/N the next morning or from getting the living shit beat out of him by Jonathan Byers the next day during their argument.

Things grew clearer to Steve when he tried to apologize to his girlfriend and ended up having to fight some crazy ass, other world monster in the Byer’s house with a nail bat. He had come full-circle in a week and realized how shitty he really had been, to Y/N especially.

Being reunited with Y/N in the Hawkins hospital was emotional for both of them. Steve rushed to there as soon as the god awful monster was taken care of, hoping and praying that Y/N was okay. When he got there, he saw her along side the party, huddled against each other. When she makes eye contact with Steve, she runs to him with tears brimming her eyes. Y/N sobbed in his arms, her body weak from exhaustion as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Steve held her close and kept repeating ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry’ to her over and over again as he rubber her shoulder soothingly. After a few minutes of hushed crying and whispers, Steve pulls them apart and holds her cheeks in his hands, wiping some of her tears away.

“You got the shit beat out of you.” she says, touching the bruised pink and purple skin near his eye, making him flinch lightly.

“Yeah because my little sister decided not to tell me that there was a monster on the loose in Hawkins.” he jokes in return, ruffling her hair lightly.

“I don’t think those are from a monster, I think you actually got beat up and just don’t want to admit it.” she remarks, eyes narrowing as she speaks.

“That...isn’t important right now. Why didn’t you tell me about what was actually going on?” he says as a slight tinge of red graces his cheeks from embarrassment.

“Because I knew you would freak, like you always do.” Y/N jokes.

Steve rolls his eyes and pulls her into another hug without saying another word, taking in the moment one last time. He was glad that he realized how much of an ass he really had been, but more importantly, he was glad that Y/N was safe. He could go back to being her protective, overbearing older brother who only wanted what was best for her, even if she couldn’t see that.

We're not in Hawkins anymore more means a new setting. Which means new people, which means new characters, ugh! Call me a downer but for sure the Duffers will add more characters and that sucks. They already have a lot of main characters and secondary characters. They can't even properly develop the ones they already have! It already feels bloated with so many storylines & so little episodes. Adding a new kids group bc will & El make new friends? A nightmare. Literally a nightmare.

Listen not to be rude but. Can we please go. One new season. Without everyone whining about new characters. There hasn’t been a single new character announced yet. I doubt there will be any new mains. Yeah ofc there’s gonna be new ppl in a new location, but there’s not gonna be a whole new group of main characters??? And maybe, just maybe, not all characters NEED to be developed, bc some characters are purely supporting characters who have no meaning themselves so complaining when small roles aren’t given a ton of screentime is completely missing the point of the character.

Again not to be rude but I’m TIRED. Yeah this show has a lot of characters and has added new ones each season........ just like practically every other show on the planet? We’ve got 12 main characters rn. Possibly 11 depending on Hop. Possibly 13 if u count Erica but honestly I don’t bc I don’t think she’s gonna have a big role going forward. Out of that 11-13, only 2/3 of them weren’t in s1. 2 more were in s1 but not as mains, and out of those two, Steve u could argue was basically already a main in s1 even if he wasn’t credited so, and of COURSE Will needed to be made a main.

Now out of those 2/3 new, are ppl still gonna complain? Robin is essentially one of the biggest fan favorites after only one season, and if u don’t think that matters, I understand, but her role in the plot was still huge and she’s definitely important in them developing Steve. And for Max, just, can u even imagine the show without Max at this point? It’s crazy to think there was a time when the party was only five. Ppl have been calling her unnecessary since the day they announced her character, and personally I thought we were past this. Erica is the only one of the new mains that I can accept some criticism that she was unnecessary, bc she did kinda stop having a direct role after she opened the elevator door, but still, she was a character that a lot of ppl loved, introducing someone from Lucas’s family was important imo, and also, she’s just one character. She didn’t get a lot of screentime at all, so I’m not gonna accept any claims that her inclusion somehow took away screentime from anyone else.

We’ve got plenty of other characters, some even credited as main cast members, but main cast member =/= main character. Would u call Karen a main character? Billy? Probably not. Going into s4 I think they already have a good balance. It’s likely Erica’s role will be demoted, I’m also expecting Murray’s role to be bumped up, bc doing so would be a big key to the plot. Same with Brenner, but while he’s likely to be a main cast member, once again that’s not the same thing as a main character. There’ll likely be a slew of new supporting characters, as every show does, bc new storylines rely on it, and we might get one or two new mains, but no, we will not be getting a group of new main characters. There will be no “nightmare” where a group of new kids is introduced as Will’s new friends to be new major characters. Well have the same characters as always. Well have our 6 kids. Well have our teens. Well have Joyce, and hopefully Hopper. And personally I think the show has done a rlly good job balancing its characters. There’s definitely flaws at some points, but imo its flaws have not at all come from having too many characters to balance. And to an extent, it’s normal and a good thing for a show to not balance its characters perfectly. Some main characters are simply gonna have bigger roles than others. I love characters like Lucas and Dustin to the ends of the earth, but lbr, would it rlly make sense if they were given as much screentime and development as characters like El or Will, who are the central figures to the show’s whole plot? So yeah, they don’t get as much screentime, but even with that they’ve been developed v well and imo given justice each season

Also, just a reminder bc nothing gets under my skin as much as this, stop. complaining. about. things. before. you. watch. them. Every damn season ppl have been getting bent out of shape about every little thing only to actually watch the season and realize it’s not a big deal. I don’t know what new characters we’ll get or how they’ll be written, but can we at least wait until the season is out before complaining about its writing? thx

ok so this is just a rambly overview over what has happened (sam wise) over the seasons so its maybe a little bit easier when keep blabbing @ u abt him 😂

s1: ok sam is at college & lives with jess, dean comes to him after they havent seen each other in 2/3/4 years and says they gotta find john bc he didnt come home from a hunting trip, sam reluctantly says yes to one case but only if theyll be back in time for his law school interview (☹️ oh child), they do the case, sam comes home to jess burning on the ceiling like his mum, and him & dean hit the road to Find Dad and Kill The Demon.

during all this sam starts to get visions of bad things happening in the future and everyones Concerned, they eventually find dad but fail to kill the demon and dean gets fatally injured.

s2: john makes a deal with azazel (the demon that killed mary and jess) to save dean and Dies (& gets sent to hell), sam and dean are Sad (this is tangent worthy but i Won’t right now)

note worthy middle season things are that sam gets possessed by a demon that makes him do horrible stuff in one ep and in another the first girl he has sex with after jess turns out to be a werewolf and he has to shoot her (Fun!), oh and before john died he told dean he might have to kill sam if he starts going rogue (bc john knows abt sam’s mysterious gifts), dean eventually tells sam abt it and sam is Horrified obvs, season ends with azazel kidnapping sam and other kids with Gifts and sam finds out he was fed demon blood as a baby, sam gets killed and dies in deans arms, dean makes a crossroads deal to bring him back and gets one year of life left

oh and they open hells gates and john gets out and is just Normal Dead (yay) but also lots of dark stuff (not yay)

s3: sam is Upset and tries to find a way to get dean out of the deal, katie cassidy’s Ruby appears and says she can help, mid season stuff notable mention for an ep in which the trickster makes sam watch dean die every day for abt 100 days and then lets sam live 6 months without him just for Fun (dean doesnt remember any of this but sam does), anyway they fail at saving dean and sam has to watch him get ripped apart by hellhounds

s4: i mean u watched this but still 😂, dean crawls out of his grave, cas gets introduced, sam has been hanging out with ruby and starts drinking her demon blood bc it gives him the power to exorcise and kill demons without harming their vessel, also the demon lilith (she sent dean to hell so sam has a revenge boner for her too lbr) wants to start the apocalypse by breaking 66 seals and sam has the power to kill her (hot powerful babe that he is 🔥😏), the angels manipulate the living hell out of Everyone and LOTS OF FIGHTING HAPPENS. also dean finds out he broke the first seal when he started torturing in hell (everyone loves forgetting that but Ok) anyway

when dean finds out sam is addicted to demon blood, him and bobby lock him in the panic room without food or water or comforting words but :-))) (i’m not mad at all). then CASTIEL (another guilty party maybe?? HMMM??) lets sam out so he can find ruby and go kill lilith, which he does and ends up breaking the final seal and frees lucifer (which no one knew would happen except for the angels and ruby & dean was abt to do the same thing literally minutes before he found out the truth LOL)

this season is so crazy tangent worthy but i’ll save it for the Actual Post

s5: sams guilt and self hatred is HIIIIIGH and dean does nothing to help that and the rest of the world loves reminding him hes Evil incarnate as well :-) but ok,

dean finds out hes michael’s vessel and sam finds out hes lucifer’s, lots of archangel and other mid season stuff happens, season ends with sam saying yes to lucifer so he can jump into the pit to hell and trap him in there with him, therefore saving the world and all of humanity bc he is a hero thanks for listening to my Ted Talk

s6: dean has been living with lisa and her son ben for a year, it turns out sam is alive but Different, oh damn! he’s soulless! (and sassy sexy Fun 😎) and his (pure gentle) soul is still in hell with lucifer (💔😭)

dean and cas get his soul back but its so damaged (😔) that putting it back into sam would kill him so they ask death to build a wall between the two (no idea how this all rlly works its been a while since i watched this), soul is back in sam, forgot how the season ends but not that important anyway

s7: sam’s soul hell wall thing breaks and he’s dying and ill and sick and sad and everythings awful and he has hallucinations of lucifer telling him insidious horrible stuff and making him doubt reality and dean and everything and its very upsetting to me thanks,

umm forgot how the season REALLY ends but basically sam sees dean die (dean is actually in purgatory BUT SAM DOESNT KNOW THAT)

s8: my memories are hazy at best but i remember the Basic stuff,

its one year later and dean is out of purgatory and somehow him and sam find each other, sam has been living off the grid and found a gf and a dog after grieving dean, dean finds this to be the most heinous of crimes and Hates sam for it (bc u didnt look for me sam!!! and u had a cushy life while i was fighting for mine in purgatory!!! HOW DARE YOU BE HAPPY WITHOUT ME) and the guilt tripping is outta control this season woooohoooo,

anyway idr why but one of them has to take on The Trials (bc it does smth important for them i dont remember why lmao) and sam wants to do them,

stuff happens and they make sam sick and weak and Sad but they also purify his blood so hes desperate for them bc he’s felt awful and unclean all his life and its Upsetting. season ends with the final trial aka The Ultimate Sacrifice which means death and sam’s like yes! death! here for it 100%! and dean’s like no! why? and sam’s like lol i’m horrible and useless and a liability and all i do is let u down and i wanna die! :-)

dean convinces him not to (in a crap way imho BUT)

s9: sams fatally ill and just. wants. to dieeee and gadreel (an arch?angel) tells dean that he could possibly heal sam if he lets him possess sam and Dean Says ‘sam would rather die than ever let anything possess him again’ aaaand then says yes to gadreel :-)

and sam’s alright but has no clue how it happened and keeps losing time and is fucked up over it and dean lies to him and says everythings A Okay

oh and gadreel kills kevin with sam’s body and sam has nightmares abt it

this somehow resolves itself (not in a satisfying way for me of course but when do things ever) but i dont rlly have the deets for the rest of the season

s10-s12: honestly i basically dont know much, somehow dean has the so called mark of cain on his arm which makes him Awful and Horrible and he says things to sam that are Unbelievable and make me Furious

also at some point dean turns into a literal demon, not for super long though i think

sam is a strong kind and beautiful bean during all of this

mary is there somewhere too somehow and lucifer stuff and the list goes on but you know SHRUG

s13: lucifer’s baby is born! a nephilim! idk how it works age wise but hes in the body of a cute young man called jack and hes a cinnamon roll and sam treats him so fatherly and gently and with so much compassion and it makes me Feel and they have an adorable gorgeous relationship! also dean is a giant Dickwad to jack :-) fun!

oh omg lucifer gets killed in the finale and i fucking hope its final and forever bc I AM OVER IT!!!!

Do u think the Duffers/writers can actually write mileven as a couple? S1, as friends, that was great. S2, they were separated most of the time. S3, they were only really a couple for like 1 ep. & most of the time they were kissing, which im not against, but it would've been nice to get more dialogue between them. Their best scene was 'blank makes u crazy', & that was mostly improvised by Finn. I think they separate them bc they have no idea what to do with them when they're together.

I mean I don’t rlly know how to respond to this bc, yeah? ofc they know how to write them as a couple? they’re the ones who’ve created these characters and this whole relationship and know Mike and Eleven both as individuals and a couple better than anyone. Yeah we haven’t gotten a ton of fluffy scenes where they’re just casually hanging out, but that’s bc that kind of thing doesn’t rlly fit into the framework of the show. And I rlly don’t understand this idea I see everywhere that Mike and El are just constantly kissing? In 25 episodes of this show we’ve gotten 5 whole kisses? Maybe like, 10 seconds of screentime of them kissing? Whereas we have so many other moments of the two of them just talking and being themselves and being cute. And yeah there is a lot of stuff improvised by Finn and Millie, but even if the Duffers didn’t write the exact lines word for word as they are in the final show, they’re still the ones who created the scenes and the conversations they’re having and all that. And they definitely wouldn’t do SUCH big plotlines just to avoid having to write them together? If they didn’t want to write Mike and El as a couple, they just..... wouldn’t have written them that way to begin with? Or write simple scenarios to explain why they’re not interacting atm. Not write massive plotlines that affect every aspect of the season just to avoid having to write a couple scenes

Hey! Im pretty new to the fandom (since like summer) and i was wondering if there were any crazy fan theories before s2 came out? Like the speculation over s3 has really got me thinking how much people predicted before the show came out last time? I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts so thanks ♥️

Okay so crazy fan theories idk if u mean crazy like, funny, or crazy like INTENSE so I’ll just answer for both lmao. There were a LOT of funny theories before the show came out. I mentioned one of them the other night, which was the El/Mike MORPH theory, but if u didn’t see that post, basically when the first s2 teaser came out there was a shot from the scene of El and Hopper’s fight where El is crying. It was the first look we got of El in s2 so that was the first time we were seeing her curly hair and all that, and also in the shot (which didn’t make the final cut of the show) she was covering her face, so at first we weren’t 100% sure if it was her. Millie and Noah ended up confirming that it was, but a LOT of ppl were still convinced it was Mike, which led to a bunch of ridiculous theories that in s2 El was going to morph into Mike, that they were actually the same person, there would be a body swapping plotline, etc. like there were a lot of variations of it but it can all be p well grouped under the same theory. The main other FUNNY theory coming to mind is my personal favorite, PregNancy. A completely baseless-yet-popular theory that was exactly how it sounds, Pregnant Nancy. It rlly only started bc in the trailer they included the shot of Nancy crying in the Holland’s bathroom, so a lot of people ran with this whole idea that she’s crying cause she just took a pregnancy test and there were a lot of spiraled out theories like whether it was Steve or Jonathan’s baby and all that. Those are the two main comedic theories from s2 that I remember and ppl who were here for them can all remember hauntingly and joke about

As for ACTUAL theories, jeez there were a LOT. There were some rlly good ones too. I remember a rlly popular one was that after someone leaked some set pictures of Millie filming the scene where El gets off the bus in Chicago, a lot of ppl started theorizing that Eleven was hiding out there with some friends Hopper had there or smth (Now we know that “the city” Hop used to live in was New York, but we didn’t know that pre-s2 so ppl figured it might be Chicago and he had an old apartment there or smth). There were also a LOT of theories centered around the tunnels, bc that was some of the only plot hints we had going in to the season. People caught on pretty quickly after the trailer came out that the drawings in the Byers house were a map of the tunnels, and stuff spiraled from there. I remember one theory I personally believed was that the tunnels were what Will used in the Upside Down to get around and hide from the Demogorgon. Another big theory was that the red cloud that the Mind Flayer appeared in in Will’s visions was going to be an actual physical storm coming to Hawkins, which came p much from the few shots of it in trailers alongside the fact that the show originally released some fake episode titles when they announced s2, and one of them was “The Storm”. The old title for “The Lost Sister” was actually “The Lost Brother” and a LOT of theories came from that, ranging from pretty accurate like it being another experiment, to completely off base, like one I remember was it being about a 4th Wheeler sibling (Mike’s twin) who died (p much just came from the fact that Mike has a bunk bed). OH and if you remember the DnD scene at the end of season 1, aka everything with the proud princess, the lost knight, and the weird flowers in the cave? Everyone was CONVINCED those were supposed to be clues for season 2. Literally 99% of s2 theories mentioned those 3 things, and in the end they were complete red herrings. A lot of theories also came from Dragon’s Lair, as the Duffers hinted a lot that there would be symbolism in the game. Now we know that “symbolism” was rlly nothing more than foreshadowing that Lucas would end up with Max and not Dustin (”Princess Daphne is still mine!”) but for a long time we thought it was PLOT foreshadowing. And lemme tell you anon, I personally did SO MUCH research on that game and watched the gameplay so many times making theories. The plot of the game is about a knight rescuing a missing princess from a dragon, and a lot of ppl (me included) thought that was going to foreshadowing for Mike saving El from whatever was the reason she was still missing. For a LONG time ppl thought El was going to be in the Upside Down for a full year. If you read any pre-s2 fics, there’s a good chance that’s going to be referenced, bc for so long we didn’t have ANY clue where she could be so we just assumed she was stuck in the Upside Down as a default. It wasn’t until a year after the show came out that it was confirmed she’d been out of the Upside Down since the beginning. So yeah for a long time there were a LOT of theories about the kids doing a rescue mission to the Upside Down. Another theory that came from Dragon’s Lair was that Dustin was going to die, bc his character dies in Dragon’s Lair and people thought that would be similar foreshadowing to how in s1 Will’s DnD character was taken by the Demogorgon, then that’s what happened in real life. Speaking of character deaths, a LOT of people thought Steve or Hopper were gonna die. There wasn’t rlly explanation behind it, but everyone kinda agreed, their character arcs as of the end of s1 were set up well if the show wanted to kill one of them off. Another big plot theory that I remember was that the Upside Down would be spreading to the real world, bc the tag line for season 2 was “The World Is Turning Upside Down” and people connected it back to Mr Clarke’s line about how the gate could swallow everyone up whole. That theory KINDA became true and the gate was spreading in s2, but it wasn’t the plot of the season or anything, and it wasn’t near as serious in reality as people theorized it to be. There were a also LOT of theories about Will too, and a lot of them were some variation of Will having powers. Oh and since one of the episode titles is “The Spy” there were a lot of theories about who the spy was, the most common ones I remember were Max, Billy, Bob, and Hopper. The first 3 bc they were the newbies (no pun intended on Bob’s end) and Hopper bc we kinda knew he had some connection going on with the lab, but didn’t know the nature or what was going on or anything. OHMYGOD and how could I forget the Thessalhydra. The FREAKING Thessalhydra. Another DnD related theory that I spent HOURS of my life dedicated to researching only for it to amount to NOTHING. The Thessalhydra is another DnD monster, and it was also mentioned in the campaign at the end of season 1, and everyone was convinced that would be the new monster from s2. There weren’t a lot of theories about the Mind Flayer going into season 2 just because we didn’t know enough to even have theories, but almost every theory that did exist assumed that the shadow monster was the Thessalhydra coming to Hawkins following the Demogorgons defeat. Another one I remember is since we got shots of Joyce, Hop, and Bob wearing scrubs in the trailer, people thought they were going undercover in a hospital to either 1) kidnap Will out of it or 2) steal medical files.

As for theories that were accurate, there was a surprising lot. Honestly in reality a LOT of stuff that happened in season 2 was stuff ppl either theorized about, but their theories went WAY more in depth & went beyond what actually happened, or it was smth ppl figured was too obvious to be true. So honestly in the end we definitely OVER-theorized a lot for s2. El and Hop was one of them. Hopper hiding El in a secret cabin in the woods was one of those things that everybody in the fandom thought about, but most of us thought it was too predictable to be true (especially because one of those original episode titles was literally “The Secret Cabin”). Everyone pretty much assumed that Dustin’s pollywog was really the slug Will threw up, and there were even a lot of theories about it being a baby Demogorgon (though I don’t think ANYONE anticipated the demodogs). Or like I mentioned before, a lot of theories about El going to Chicago, but none of them were even CLOSE to what really happened. Kali’s original name in the show was Roman, and they kept her SUPER secretive. When the final trailer of the show came out, they included a shot of the gang wearing masks, and I remember someone was able to figure out that one of them was Roman/Kali, and that’s rlly all we knew about her going in. I actually remember someone sent me an ask back then thinking that the girl next to her might be El in a mask too, and I specifically remember looking at that picture thinking “Nah that’s not her” bc I mean, no one expected anything like episode 7. They had announced there was going to be an independent episode, and I remember our theories ranged everywhere from a musical episode to flashbacks of the year between 1 and 2 to a whole episode dedicated to Terry and MKUltra. But at no point did anyone come even close to figuring out the truth. There’s a lot of smaller details ppl anticipated too, like the Stancy breakup or Bob’s death, and even a good chunk of the plot honestly, even if no one rlly theorized the exacts, the whole kinda premise and concepts we had brought up a lot before and we had loosely figured it out. But there was also so much stuff no one ever thought of before, like the Demodogs or everything with ep7 or the lab shutting down or Will getting possessed.

All in all honestly we did a pretty good job. Everything we COULD figure out based on the information we had we did for the most part, to the point where honestly this time around the show is being WAY more secretive in s3 because they don’t want us to figure stuff out again. Like I said before, honestly we over-theorized, we took all the information we did and definitely overthought everything a LOT and ended up going a lot more intense with it than what ultimately happened in the show lmao
