Bisco and Milo outfit and hair swap! Bisco's hair is too wild to stay down and Milo's hair is too silky and fine to stay spiked so these two have a ton of hair product in their hair.
I originally wanted to do all 4 of the major characters (minus Jabi and Actagawa) with swapped outfits and hairstyles but I could only get these boys done. But, here is a sketch of Pawoo <--> Tirol for your viewing pleasure!
Tirol's outfit is far superior in my opinion so I'm not surprised that Pawoo looks GREAT in it! I'm sure everyone would work it (even Jabi!) lol Tirol with her hair down and Pawoo with her hair in jellyfish braids is EXQUISITE!!!
“Did you ever do things like this? Silly, mundane things like this.”
“Dunno about that,” Bisco says simply, his voice far away and sleep-touched as it reaches Milo’s ears. “This kind of stuff feels important enough.”

Summer
The rain takes him by surprise.
It’s gentle, the clouds colored a soft cotton-gray. It plays tap tip taptaptip on the makeshift canopy overhead, joined by a flickering curtain by the entrance that Milo looks through, watching with a smile as Actagawa scuttles happily around the field. They could easily travel onward, towards Shikoku, and not be too encumbered, their hippo-skin tarps and well-worn cloaks thick enough to manage a little rainwater. It all depends on Bisco, what he wants to do and how quickly he feels like uprooting their little break.
Bisco, who just lost a war with himself. Bisco, now sound asleep on his side next to where Milo sits, his snores quiet against the backdrop of the rain.
Well, not anytime soon, then. Milo can’t help but smile to himself.
The space between Milo’s hip and where Bisco’s head is pillowed on his arm is present but scarce, the tent barely enough for two if they pretend to be one, a condition Milo almost hates that he’s growing more and more fond of – the closeness, the reality of his life now. If he closes his eyes, he can still hear Bisco’s heartbeat, the weight of his arm curled around Milo’s back, the gentle pressure of being pressed cloth to skin as the realization that Bisco was back, safe and alive. Loud, steady, a touch addictive.
If Milo closes his eyes now, perhaps he could fuse that sound with the rain, a gentle melody hopefully tempting enough for him to leave Actagawa on guard duty, just for a few moments, if only to join his partner in a quiet moment of sleep. If he closes his eyes, he wonders if his own heartbeat will settle to match it.

A few weeks ago, I made my own joke categories for what I consider the real 2022 Anime Awards (The Real Anime Awards of 2022 part 1), but I also wanted to put the memes aside and make my real list of nominees for the real categories that Crunchyroll usually does (minus best director, best film, and best fight scene). Fandom’s Thoughts on Winter 2022 Anime So Far (1/17/2022)
Wow the week flies by, doesn’t it?
Figured now that a few more shows are out, I give a brief update to my current thoughts on the airing Winter 2022 season. I don’t have very much to say, but I kinda wanna get my thoughts out there. So let’s get started, shall we?
As always, I shall be putting my thoughts under the cut so as not to take up too much of your dash.
And with that, let’s jump right in.
BRIEF THOUGHTS: The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, Futsal Boys!, World of Leadale, Tribe Nine
So I’ll be blunt, I’ll probably be dropping Strongest Sage after episode 3. Or at least waiting until it has a dub. I like the concept well enough, but the pacing is just really off and it’s making it hard for me to keep invested. I wonder if I’d have better chances if I read the source material. If anyone familiar with the series can weigh in, I’d like to hear your thoughts.
Futsal Boys has some animation issues here and there, but I feel it’ll be a solid 7/10 sports anime by the end of the season so long as it hits the goal (hehe). It’s not doing anything groundbreaking, but it definitely doesn’t deserve the 5.6 it currently has on MAL. Though that could be subject to change.
World of Leadale continues to be a cute video game/Isekai/fantasy story, but I do hope we learn more about the main character’s life outside of the game as well as inside it. Cayna’s game-created kids are adorably hilarious.
I did say last week that Tribe Nine would have to do something big to keep me interested. Dropping a Terminator-esque baseball player with his army of humvees from a plane to challenge a bunch of college aged kids is certainly the way to do that. I’m now reinvested.
STILL GOING STRONG: Demon Slayer; Entertainment District Arc, Tokyo 24th Ward, Slow Loop, Sasaki to Miyano, Ranking of Kings, Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department, My Dress Up Darling, Akebi’s Sailor Uniform, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Season 2
I’m not going to do an overall breakdown series by series for these ones. But I will say that, if by this week you’re not already invested in at least one of these titles, you should be.
Demon Slayer, Ranking of Kings, and Realist Hero continue to give us everything we’ve been coming back for.
And Toyko 24th Ward, Slow Loop, Sasaki to Miyano, Miss Kuroitsu, Dress up Darling, and Akebi all had stellar second episodes that solidified them as ones I will continue watching this season.
New Releases: Case Study of Vanitas Part 2, The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, Sabikui Bisco
So for Vanitas, I don’t have much to say. If you liked the first half, this half is looking to be on a good start. My only gripe is that the new OP doesn’t grab me as much as the last one, but it might grow on me.
Genius Hero, or as I like to call it, “Schadenfreude The Anime”. One episode in and already I’m excited to continually see this guy suffer in success. I cannot wait to see how badly he messes up at failing next episode. I hadn’t had a hearty laugh that big in a while.
SABIKUI BISCO IS GOING TO BE A TOP CONTENDER FOR ANIME OF THE YEAR. I CAN FEEL IT.
Cool post apocolypric setting? Check. Neat character designs? Check. Badass soundtrack? Check. Giant crabs and vicious attack hippos with machine guns? Check and Check. Giant Mushrooms? CHECK! All that’s missing is the badgersbadgersbadgersbadgers-
Seriously though, this is definitely one of the ones to be watching this season.
DROPPED: Requiem of the Rose King
NOW WATCHING: Cue!
So after episode 2, I’ve decided to drop Requiem of the Rose King. I don’t know if its just the directing or the story itself, but after this episode I couldn’t bring myself to dedicate any more time to this show. I have very few spoons and very little time to use them, so best to invest them elsewhere.
And invest I did. Shoutout to the nice anon who recommended I check out Cue! Because it is 100% what I was craving. A cute story about a group of young ladies all wanting to become professional Voice Actresses. It’s scratching the itch that Shirobako left behind and I highly recommend this one.
TOP 5 OF THE SEASON (so far): Toyko 24th Ward, Sasaki to Miyano, Sabikui Bisco, My Dress Up Darling, Cue!
While I still adore Slow Loop and Akebi’s Sailor Uniform, I felt I had to put Cue! and Sabikui in the top 5. However, the other two are in a tie for 6th place currently.
As of this week I’m still waiting on Ryman’s Club to release, and I forgot to watch Koroshi Ai, so expect my thoughts on that next time.
Any you think I missed? Any you consider a favorite? Let me know your thoughts. I’d love to hear what you all think!
Thank you for taking the time to read and have a wonderful day!
This week I had somewhat limited time and attention span to focus on the weekly episodes. And as if the last week’s blunders weren’t enough, I watched the Sabikui Bisco episode to review last night, took notes, screenshots and wrote about it, only to realize I’ve watched episode 7 and not 6. No wonder it was a confusing experience and my notes consisted of varying forms of how in the actual F we…
