I don’t know if anyone remembers/knows the SacconeJoly’s but they were a very popular family vloggers from England who exploited their kids for content but the mom made a TikTok video jokingly but not so jokingly saying how she is one of those toxic boy moms and then proceeds to say how she lets her youngest son hit or punch his sisters and she excuses the behaviour as him having a bad day, and I can’t believe how she casually said it as if it’s not a big deal

I am sorry, this is going to be a lot but I am so frustrated. The drama on YT over family channels are crazy but I seen this coming. There's also Dougherty Dozen and Sacconejoly's. You have a family who foster homes and exploit them for money. And you have Sacconejoly who mostly exploit their transgender daughter while the mom Anna is wearing a protect trans kids shirt. SHE CAN'T EVEN PROTECT HER OWN CHILDREN'S PRIVACY.

Not to mention their sketchy past of lies and weird shit regarding before their trans daughter was born. Their recent video is them taking their daughter to gender therapy and the daughter acted like she didn't know anything about it nor knew that there was multiple sessions. She doesn't even fully understand what's going on, so why are they doing this? A lot of people believe that they are forcing her to do this just for views. Their channels didn't get big until they started having kids back in 2012. But it's also like the dad Johnathan is trying to live out what he wanted his childhood to be "Giselle" when he was a child. But this is why people think they are forcing their daughter into this and was waiting for this big opportunity to use this kid. They also used her to promote the dad's book about when he was a little kid.

When Anna was pregnant with her first child before having their trans daughter, she kept saying she feels like it's going to be a boy. And she feels like she's going to know what his personality is going to be. She doesn't know anything about boys though. And we are going to come back to that part where she feels like she knows what his personality is going to be. They took one of those gender pee test that's not even 99% accurate. She did hers wrong so it came out half green and half yellow. And they was making comments like "both genders" and "gay boy".

At the ultrasound, it was clear as day that Anna was disappointed about having a girl. She tried back peddling on it. When she found out she was pregnant a second time, she still tried back peddling saying that "Well I knew it was going to be a girl last time". She hates being wrong btw.

She gets pregnant a second time and starts getting emotional after finding out she's carrying a boy. It was a completely different reaction. "She like I had this dream it was going to be a boy" etc etc. She also said she had dreams the last time it was a boy but also in the beginning of her second pregnancy she had dreams that it was going to be twins. But whatever. When she gave birth to her first child, her facial expression looked like she was more relieved that the pain was over but then disappointed again that it still wasn't a boy. Because they made comments toward the end about it still could be a boy and he'll have to wear pink clothes for the first year of his life. When she gave birth to her second child, she bawled like a baby. She can say that they didn't have a preference but obviously they did.

As the two kids get older, you can tell who's the favorite by time the son is 2-4 years old. She made a bigger deal about her son becoming a big brother versus when her eldest became a big sister for the first time. She gave birth to her third child - second daughter and her last child fourth and second son (at the time). This bitch Anna still went on and on about the eldest son and for whatever reason he was having emotional outburst when he was a toddler. When he barely could talk and she said he feels like he doesn't have a place. Why does a child of that age feel like that or even begin to comprehend that???

Getting back to how she knew what her sons personality would be... She's sitting there wrapping gifts for her son almost trans daughter at the time. And saying "I just like thank God for giving me the son I have " blah blah. Retelling how she didn't know anything about boys and thankful she has this feminine son. This is where people started to connect the dots that something was not right. So fast forward to when the son transitions. They constantly film her more than the other kids. I don't think they should be filming any of their kids. But they filmed their transgender daughter so much more after this happened.

Johnathan, the dad, comes out with a book, it's called something imaginary friends or whatever. They hyped it up and it ended up being something it really wasn't. The sales didn't do good as they hoped lol. They actually quit YT for a while, saying they aren't posting their kids anymore but they did it anyway. They came right back because now they need that YT money. What pissed a lot of people off was they used their transgender child to promote his book that was suppose to be about him when he was a kid and he was a lot like their transgender daughter but he didn't have that same support growing up. It's just how this was all done. They need to let their transgender daughter tell her story if she wants when she is older. Not to promote daddy's book because they can draw more crowds than their parents. Like I said, if it wasn't for those 4 kids, they wouldn't had become this popular.

In these newer recent videos and how they question their transgender child on camera and post it for the world to see, it's just sickening. You can tell the child is uncomfortable and unsure about certain questions. You can also tell that the child hasn't fully grasp all this in regards of being transgender. A lot of LGBTQ+ people have called them out about this and how this seems to be a manipulation since the start of this child's life. It feels like they are forcing their poor child to do this just for views and money.

And what's is wild is Anna makes a video, she didn't name the child but it's obvious who she's talking about, how this certain child is like her and is a people pleaser. Bitch, I think ALL your kids are trying to please you out of fear.

And if it's any constellation what kind of people Anna and Johnathan are, they just got called out for Anna talking about how "that last little boy hits different", trying to make it sound like she favors the youngest son which is bullshit. This is what they do, they try to back track stuff and it ends up blowing up in their faces which this did. She got on camera declaring her favoritism with the youngest son and how he hits all three of his sisters. BUT she makes up excuses for him. She's raising a abuser right there. It's probably his way of getting attention. Last year he was sick as a dog on vacation but instead of taking him to a doctor, they dragged him around with them. They don't even usually spend time with their kids at all, they drop them off at babysitting place. This family is just off the charts.

All more reason I stay clear of bunch of family vlogs that very much using their kids for clicks

I haven’t watched the SacconeJolys in years but wow, how is Emilia 10! I remember coming home from a school 10 years ago and watching their birthing vlog!

I KNOW. I remember watching when Emilia was a tiny baby and now she's a whole 10 year old and she has sisters and a brother and everything!

Wow! Didn’t realize there was this many times the kids had mentioned cold showers. Are Anna and Jonathan really trying to lie and say Anna misspoke?! Even though Jonathan literally said cold shower also and Anna said it’s cruel! I’m sorry this is messed up!!! YouTube, the Wild Wild West for Trolls

Since its conception in 2005, YouTube.com has continuously grown to be a community of users sharing video content about anything and everything. Now, fourteen years later I don’t think anyone could have predicted what the site has become.

YouTube is one of the best examples of sociality occurring in the digital sphere. It has become a significant platform where individuals that agree with and value the same things come together to view a person - or multiple people talking about those things that they love. Whether it be gaming, cooking, beauty, reviews, music, lifestyle or a plethora of many other subjects, there seems to be a virtual community for everyone. Unfortunately though, there is one (very prominent) group that really aren’t welcome within any of the communities - trolls... and I’m not talking about these ones: 

Internet Trolls are online users who ‘deliberately make random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument’. These “people” aren’t scared to fire their shots from behind their keyboard because more times than not, they aren’t going to receive any real life ramifications for doing so. Psychological studies have shown that people who troll have high levels of psychopathy traits like low levels of empathy, guilt and responsibility for their actions. They become obsessed and invested in making the people on the other side, reading the comments lives miserable. 

This is the Saccone-Jolys - a family from the UK who have a YouTube channel with nearly 2 million subscribers. 

Everyday for almost nine years Jonathan and Anna have uploaded videos documenting the intimate details of their lives like their proposal, wedding, and the birth of their puppies and all four of their children. The vlogs are lighthearted and family friendly, yet somehow they have been a major target for online trolls. In 2012, after the birth of their first daughter - the couple started to receive horrific comments from users saying they hoped the child would be stillborn, and this was only the beginning. Trolls continued to not only post hateful comments on their channel, but also continuously take their hate to real life, where the family have had to deal with their address being revealed, their car being keyed and people making reports to the RSPCA and local Child Welfare Services about their dogs and children living in ‘destitution and disorder’. After the miscarriage of what would have been their third child, Anna took a break from being in the videos after a slew of hate comments about how “she deserved it” understandably affected her mental health. 

Taking a break from videos has become a common pattern with YouTubers because as it can be seen, it isn’t as simple for the victims of trolling to simply “ignore it”, especially when it starts to affect their personal life and their mental health. Sure it’s easy to pose the question “why don’t these people just quit YouTube?” - but what a lot don’t understand is that this is a full-time job. YouTube for many is not only providing a means in which to live off (like any other job) but it’s also what these people love to do, its what makes them happy despite the hate they receive. In the end quitting would mean allowing the trolls to win so taking the steps to care for their mental health is what many YouTubers are now advocating for.

YouTuber and Blogger Victoria Magrath (or InTheFrow) writes that she is quite happy to block anyone from her feed who feels like they have the “right to spread hatred, incite hatred or insult me”. Over time YouTube, and other social media platforms have made it easier in becoming more vigilant in the monitoring of trolling with procedures being put into place to protect their content creators. YouTube has set up a system where content creators are able to block comments when certain words are being used or review them before allowing them below their videos. Another tactic more YouTubers seem to be adopting is hiring a ‘comment monitor’ who goes through and deletes and blocks any hateful comments they come across. This may seem ridiculous but big beauty YouTube stars like Stephanie Nicole and Jaclyn Hill who are notoriously known for receiving online hate have found that after doing so, YouTube is becoming an enjoyable place to be again.

At the end of the day it’s important for people to be happy, and do what makes them happy as long as no one is getting hurt in the process. As long as the internet exists, so will the trolls, but it is our job as digital citizens to take care of ourselves, promote positive messages to our followers and not let the haters bring us down.
