I'm not everyone's jam, and that's all good. But thank you to all that do like me as I am, yall are truly the most kind and amazing humans ever like thank you for just letting me be me.

My whole life I've been told that I'm too loud or annoying and too much and I'm 29 now and at a point in my life that I can just not take it as personal because the version of me that people create in their heads is not my responsibility. You get what you get and if you don't like it, that's okay!! The block button exists for a reason and I'm not gunna be mad abt it, mutual or not.

Fun fact: Dream and Nightmare in my Ec-4o.verse setting are a package deal! They're both robots (Ectos) but their designs directly compliment eachother. Dream is (practically) an infinite power source for magical/electrical energy. Nightmare is a walking EMP that short-circuits all tech around him.

Their settings can be changed to be more or less intense, but Nightmare must be within a 2 mile radius of Dream or else he'll shut down, and Dream will start to overheat if he's too far from Night for too long.

There's a bit of animosity between them (largely due to Pre-war factors) but by the time they enter the story they're back on speaking terms.

#at one point they looked the same minus their chosen color palettes (unique to their models) but when the war started the Gov. overhauled #Nightmare's casing and added a few new features.#Dream was their constant power source abd back-uo generator while Nightmare made sure no one got in or out with unwanted tech.#both brothers can sense emotions (but like. in a Robot Biological way that a lot of Ectos can)#so their gimmick now is that they can perfectly sense a device's battery life. which helps them determine which of them needs to be nearby #fir example: Cross really enjoys Nightmare's company so he tends to stick close to him but Cross can get self-destructive about letting #Night drain his battery (because he's 'had worse') and Dream usually has to pry Cross away from his twin to hang out and/or go charge solo #meanwhile Ink loves hanging around Dream because he “feels so alive!” and he often forgets that Dream is a walking battery #ec-4o.verse #ec-4o!dream #ec-4o!nightmare #I think technically they're both malfunctioning and it's a defect #but it can't be “fixed” withiut destroying their memory drives and they refuse to do that (they'd need a full Core/Soul remodel)

My take is that the SG and normalverse bots were actually born the same color, and got different paintjobs because they have different tastes. It's like wearing clothes. Maybe the same about the optics in continuities with more diverse optic/biolight colors or where they can be changed? Or maybe the SGs just were born with different optic/light colors to distinguish them?

Neither's canon colors are necessarily their birth colors, though that can be the case sometimes (ex. Shockwave would have been born purple because he'd think painting himself would be illogical/wasteful/pointless, and Megatron was propably born grey because he's a mass-produced cold-construct and Terminus was also grey).

Oh now that's cool as hell!

We exactly see mecha changing their paintjobs in several continuities, so it makes sense. Plus, I mean same goes for optics (think tfp Megatronus > Megatron, tfa wasp in the flashbacks and in present day, have I mentioned before that sometimes the rid15 mecha's optics change color with their scanned camo paintjobs?) so we can always roll with that

Birth colors is a whole ass scenario because there's just. So much room for fun there.

#personally i like variety when it comes to sg #sometimes i just give them the same exact designs/colors as baseline but flip around the personalities and roles #sometimes i just really fucking like the sg designs/colors like look at sg optimus abd Megatron. look at them.#i love them #also the shockwave's birthcolors being purple thing made me think about two things #senator shockwave being disrupted in between paintjob changes and he's just pure purple #and sg shockwave still changing around his paintjobs like he did as a senator but now also as a reclaiming bodily autonomy thing #... but also because he'd be pretty.#don't even get me started on biolights rid15 gave me so many bad habits (affectionate) about biolights #such as mecha having biolights with two different colors on them. or ones that change colors (looking at you s4 soundwave)#and again the scanny scanny camo disguises! you can use that for pretty reasons!#maccadam #transformers #transformers shattered glass

lowkey hate the concept of a 'good' book or a 'good' movie or a 'good' song or whatever because preference is so so personalised and subjective. and when i say i hate the concept of smth being 'good' i mean more that i hate the concept of something being 'bad'. saying something sucks or is bad, to me, is the same as invalidating another person's joys and that really sucks.
