I ask because I realized that with the short eight pager coming out I haven’t actually read any of the other comics beyond a few spreads. I still wanna read all of them eventually, but this question came to me and I wanted to see what others thought.

Hey y'all! I am considering trying listening to podfics, but I have no idea where to start. Like, I read a lot of fanfic, but idk how one goes about listening to them? Is it like an app, or a download it kind of thing, or what? Do you have any advice or specific recommendations? In the past I have really, really struggled with books on tape because I cannot focus on just listening, but I like listening to like sort of documentary-ish videos while sewing and that's just a person talking, so probably I would be able to focus on audiobooks or podfics now?

As I am raving about TTPD, allow me to also reiterate the following:

Offering 4 different versions of the album with a single different bonus track on each was greedy and shady as heck, especially with how they were marketed as limited and exclusive editions. But then to jump out and go, “Surprise! You still don’t have all the songs!” is a whole other level of cruel.

Every song should be equally available on streaming AND physical media. Justice for the banished-to-streaming tracks (If This Was A Movie, Safe And Sound, etc…) as well as the ones that are still only available on one singular version of the physical album, (Sweeter Than Fiction).

Every explicit album should have its clean counterpart sold alongside it from the initial album announcement. The only album Taylor has handled remotely well on this subject is Red TV.

For somebody who said she made the Eras Tour film because she wanted everybody to be able to share the experience even if they couldn’t attend the concert, she has released an awful lot of music that she has made clear she doesn’t want her fans to have equal access to! It’s hypocritical, and it makes it increasingly hard to respect her as an artist when her business practices are so conniving. And I say this because I do appreciate her as an artist, and so it bothers me to see her behave so low when I honestly believe she’s better than this!

So, open letter to the chairman of the Tortured Poets Department, I guess: are you in it for the art, or the money?

The instrument I'd give Silver is a synthesiser keyboard. It looks a bit more like a futuristic take on the classic piano, it highly customisable, I can picture him just messing with one for hours on end, and I'm pretty sure it's the instrument used to make the intro of 'Dreams of an Absolution' but can't verify that at the moment.

I can verify that my shitty but beloved non-synthesiser keyboard does not sound exactly like the intro to Dreams when I've got the sound on classical grand piano, haha. It's the correct notes, but sound-wise it's not really the same. But I do like that idea! Maybe in the future they've got very fancy foldable ones, so he can carry one with him at all times and just pop out a whole set-up when he wants to play something. And piano and electric guitar sound very nice together, so that's a nice bonus should Sonic and Silver ever play something together!

its so frustrating to see people be bitchy about completely neutral advice for stuff like stick and poke tattoos or piercings at home or whatever. like, not only does the fact that it going well for you with shit supplies doesn't mean it'll go well for everyone, or even for a majority of people, but this advice is given with 0 moral judgment most of the time. it is SAFETY ADVICE. so you don't get hurt. obviously some people are poor and can't get good supplies, but it doesn't make the advice less good or the risks less present. acting like someone is being a classist piece of shit when they are literally just saying hey, if you want to do this thing, the safest and most efficient way to do it is using these tools, is just. get over yourself. if you know the risks and are ready to deal with them, that's a you problem, and it doesn't make fucking SAFETY ADVICE (targeted towards teenagers most of the time) irrevelant, people need to know how to do things properly.

had a difficult conversation w my mama and a couple of my housemates and i guess ive come to the realisation i qualify as disabled :( i was really hoping once i went thru weight restoration and hrt for a while itd like solve ever issue ever but my physical body is just not up to par with normal people. it wears down and leaves me with excessive pain and longterm injuries that wouldnt happen to people without my genetic disorder. so im disabled. fack my life. well. its fine [coping]
