“‘Fully Committed’ is a show unlike any show our theatergoers may have previously seen,” said Santa Clara Players show director Robert Casillas. “It is unique. It’s a one-person show that includes numerous characters—all created by one actor.” By American playwright Becky Mode, the 90-minute comedy (no intermission) runs May 17 – June 2. It stars Santa Clara native Patrick Idleman as 39 characters. That’s a lot of lines for one person. Read complete news at svvoice.com.

Underneath the Tree
Pairing: Rooster x Wife!Reader
Author’s Note: This initially started out as a little blurb concept, but I was inspired to turn it into a fuller length story after receiving some absolutely delightful input from my darling friend, @luminousnotmatter. Clara, your imagination and creativity are a wonder, and I’m so thankful for you! I know we’ve discussed this a lot, so I hope you enjoy it!
Fun Fact: In the timeline of this story, Mrs. Bradshaw is very newly pregnant with Goose, but doesn’t know it yet!
Warnings: This story contains lots of romance and fluff, but it’s also 18+ for some explicit sexual content.
Tumblr media
“Honey?”
The sound of your husband’s voice reverberated throughout the apartment as you heard him drop his bag by the front door, followed by the soft thud of his boots as he placed them on the shoe rack.
“In the living room!” you called out to him, not wanting to move from the cozy spot in which you’d plopped yourself.
Though you couldn’t see him, though he wasn’t even in the same room as you, you could sense Bradley’s confusion, could picture the small wrinkle between his eyebrows, as you heard him begin walking in the direction of your darkened living room. The house was dark, save for the few candles you’d lit and the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, and quiet, save for the classic Christmas songs that were warbling from the record player that had once belonged to Goose and Carole.
“Baby?” Bradley asked, flicking the lights on to seek you out.
“No, no, keep them off!” you exclaimed from your spot underneath the Christmas tree. Glancing across the room, you immediately noted the look of perplexed amusement on your husband’s face.
“What are you doing, honey?” Bradley questioned, arching an eyebrow as he stepped further into the room, taking in the sight of you lying on your back, your head resting on the tree skirt as you gazed upward at the inner boughs of your Christmas tree.
“Just admiring our tree,” you informed him, resting your hands on your stomach and crossing your ankles comfortably, as if this was the most normal position in the world for him to find you in.
Bradley chuckled, crossing his arms as he continued to gaze down at you. “And you couldn’t do that from the couch?”
You and Bradley had decorated your apartment for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, and in the week that had since followed, you’d spent every night curled up on the couch together, mugs of hot chocolate in hand as you snuggled into your husband’s side and enjoyed the warm glow of the lights that filled your heart with joy every time you saw them.
“I thought it was time for a new perspective,” you grinned, lifting your head slightly to look at him from your spot on the floor. Laughing, you added, “I used to do this all the time when I was a little girl. I’d spend hours lying underneath the Christmas tree, staring up at the lights and all our ornaments and imagining all the toys that Santa was going to bring me on Christmas morning. I haven’t done it in years.”
Shaking his head in amusement, Bradley smiled at you with tender affection. “You never fail to amaze me with how you can find joy in the smallest things, baby,” he said, beaming first at you and then at the tree that the two of you had spent hours painstakingly decorating until you had deemed it “just right.”
“Come lay with me,” you invited him, patting the spot beside you on the floor. As he started to move towards you, however, you quickly added, “But shut the lights off first! It’ll ruin the magic otherwise,” you giggled.
“Can’t have that now, can we?” Bradley grinned, flipping the light switch off, which cast the living room into darkness once more. It was a comforting darkness though, one pierced by the soft and cozy glow of your multi-colored Christmas lights and the cinnamon-scented candles you had left sitting on the coffee table.
Letting out a soft groan as he folded his tired body down to the floor, Bradley laid on his back and carefully shimmied himself underneath the tree, until he was resting shoulder to shoulder with you.
“Get comfy,” you instructed, grinning as he made a show of settling himself in, linking his fingers together and resting them on his stomach, and crossing his ankles in a manner that mirrored yours.
“Comfy,” he assured you, turning his head and shooting you a playful wink.
“Good,” you nodded, trying to bite back your smile as you turned your gaze upward once more. “Now look up and enjoy.”
As Frank Sinatra crooned White Christmas in the background, Bradley tore his gaze away from your enchanted face and followed your line of sight, staring up at the inner workings of your Christmas tree.
Lying in this position, you had always imagined yourself wandering around in some sort of enchanted forest, the lights twinkling and winking at you like little Christmas fairies, determined to whisk you off to some magical destination. Though you weren’t a little girl anymore, the effect remained the same. There was still something so magical about it, made even better by the man who was now lying beside you. He was better than any Christmas gift you ever could have asked Santa for.
“What do you think?” you asked softly, keeping your voice hushed in the stillness of the moment.
“Beautiful,” Bradley murmured in response. “Absolutely beautiful.”
When you glanced at him out of the corner of your eye, however, you realized that his gaze was fixed permanently on you and not on your magical Christmas tree.
“I’m talking about the tree,” you laughed, nudging him pointedly.
“Oh, the tree? It’s alright,” he shrugged, his eyes crinkling with laughter as you swatted his arm teasingly. “No, it’s beautiful, honey. Really. Just not as beautiful as you.”
“Such a smooth talker, always,” you teased, reaching down and lacing your fingers through his as you continued to stare up in wonder.
You and Bradley lay like that for a while, Sinatra giving way to Crosby and then to Fitzgerald as the Christmas record continued to play. After a while, however, you could sense your husband becoming increasingly restless, his gaze constantly shifting to your face, though you attempted to keep your focus directed upward.
“Honey,” he whispered, his voice gentle, but edged with a rasp that told you exactly what was on his mind.
Shifting onto his side, Bradley rested his hand on your hip as he leaned in and began peppering your jawline and neck with kisses.
“Lieutenant Bradshaw, just what do you think you’re doing?” you smirked, shivering despite yourself as his warm lips began trailing a line down your throat, his mustache scraping against your sensitive skin.
“Just showing my wife how much I love her,” he whispered against your neck, nipping at your jaw in a way that had your toes curling immediately in pleasure.
“Oh, is that it?” you whispered in a breathy voice, running your fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck as his tongue began tracing slow, lazy circles across your throat. His fingers slipped inside the neckline of your shirt, tugging it to the side so that his ministrations could move to your shoulder.
“Mhm,” Bradley nodded, his lips hovering over yours for the briefest of moments before he captured your mouth with his own, his tongue gently probing and exploring as his hands slid down your body.
When an involuntary moan escaped your lips, you felt your husband’s body respond almost immediately, his grip on you tightening as he attempted to shift his body over yours.
Evidently forgetting where he was, however, Bradley let out a strangled groan of frustration when his head suddenly whacked into the bottom branches of the tree, several ornaments whose perches had been disturbed tinkling disgruntledly in response.
“Son of a—”
“Bradley Bradshaw,” you said in a mock serious tone, resting a firm hand on your husband’s chest as you pushed him away from you. “If you break any of those ornaments, you are going to be in serious trouble!”
“Is that so?” Bradley asked, a mischievous gleam in his eye as he gazed down at you. “Well I guess I’ll just have to work my way out from under this tree,” he winked, pressing a quick kiss to your lips before lowering himself down once more and latching his lips onto your neck.
You let out a soft sigh of pleasure as your husband licked and nipped at your skin, soothing each bite with a tender kiss as his hands wandered down lower, massaging your thighs. Gripping your legs in his hands, he began shimmying down your body, kissing your breasts and stomach through the material of your T-shirt and bra.
“Bradley,” you moaned softly, your desire increasing with every second that passed. You could feel your panties growing damp as he began peppering your hips with kisses, pushing your shirt up just slightly so that his lips were making contact with bare flesh once more.
“I’ve got you, honey,” Bradley told you, his fingers working to gently push your shirt up even further, exposing your bare stomach. “I’m gonna take such good care of you,” he promised, lowering his head and pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses to your skin.
You could feel your body growing warm as he continued his trail downward, your hand coming down to rest on the back of his head and your fingers carding through his hair. When he suddenly put his mouth on your clothed core, you let out an involuntary gasp, your body curling in on itself as your head came up sharply, hitting the same branches that he had knocked into earlier.
“Mrs, Bradshaw,” Bradley tutted teasingly, lifting his head to look up at you. “If you break any of those ornaments, you are going to be in serious trouble!”
You let out a little groan, giggling despite yourself. “Stop torturing me then!” you insisted, biting down on your lower lip in a gesture that always drove Bradley insane.
Sure enough, you instantly felt your husband’s fingers reaching inside the waistband of your leggings, hooking through your underwear as well as he pulled both down your legs with practiced ease. Your hips bucked slightly when you felt the cool air hitting your wet center.
“Oh, honey,” Bradley moaned softly, running one calloused finger over you in a way that had you grinding yourself down against his hand. “I’ve got you,” he assured you once again, pressing a kiss to the inside of your thigh.
You let out a soft cry as he finally put his mouth on you, his tongue tracing slow stripes up and down your slit as his fingers swirled small circles on your hips and lower belly. He took his time, setting a languid pace that had you panting and mewling in desperation, your fingers burying themselves in his hair as you pressed yourself against him.
Bradley ran a soothing hand up and down your thigh as his lips wrapped around the tiny bundle of nerves at your core, sending a shockwave through your system and causing you to practically sob out his name. “Does it feel good, honey? Is it too much?” he asked, feeling how much your legs were trembling.
“N-no. I mean, yes! I mean, it feels so good!” you gasped, your hips rolling slightly as he peppered you with soft kisses. “Don’t stop, baby, please! I’m so close!”
“Okay, honey, okay,” Bradley nodded, gently slipping two fingers inside you and curling them slowly as your hips popped up off the floor. “Let go when you’re ready, baby. I’m right here,” he murmured, kissing your knee before lowering his mouth to you once more, his lips attaching to that tiny bud as his fingers worked you closer and closer to the edge.
“Bra–Brad–Bradley!” you practically screamed, your vision going white for a second as an intense orgasm suddenly rocked your body, tears streaming out your eyes and into your hair as your hips bucked over and over again until your body lay limp against the floor, trembling.
“Right here, honey. I’m right here,” Bradley whispered to you comfortingly, keeping a firm grip on your thighs as you came down from your high, your heart racing and your chest heaving.
“Baby,” you sighed, reaching down to caress his cheek as he rested his head against your stomach, holding you close. “That was….”
“Everything you deserve and then some,” your husband said, pressing soft kisses to your stomach. “I love making you feel that good, baby.”
The two of you just lay like that for a while, Bradley resting his head on your stomach as you ran your fingers through his hair and fought like hell to catch your breath.  When you finally felt like your body had stopped shaking like a leaf, you slowly shimmied your way out from underneath the tree, sitting up on the floor.
Bradley sat across from you and watched with wide eyes as you removed your shirt and bra, tossing them to the side and fixing your gaze on him.
“Take your clothes off,” you told him softly, biting down on your lower lip once again.
He didn’t need you to say it twice. Without taking his eyes off you, Bradley quickly stripped himself of the black T-shirt he’d worn home from base, followed instantly by his sweatpants and boxers. Wordlessly, he wrapped an arm around your waist and lowered you down to the carpeted floor in front of the Christmas tree, cupping your face in his other hand and running his thumb along your bottom lip.
“I love you so much,” he told you seriously, his brown eyes boring down on you. “Do you know that?”
You nodded in response, lifting your hands to hold his face between them. “I know. I love you, too. With everything I am.”
There were times when you and Bradley made love frantically, all frenzied movements and loud panting and screaming out each other’s names. And then there were times like tonight, when you held each other so close and your bodies moved in tandem at an achingly slow speed, all soft sighs and tender whispers and a deep love that made your heart throb inside your chest.
Your husband was inside you, his face buried in your neck as he ground his hips down in rhythm with yours, your arms and legs wrapped tightly around him as you squeezed your eyes shut and let your mouth fall open into a tiny ‘O’ of pleasure, your pulse racing as you heard Bradley’s soft gasps and murmured “I love yous.”
Over the sound of your heavy breathing and the thud of your hearts pounding in concert with one another, you could hear the soft strains of Judy Garland’s Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas pouring from the record player.
Your eyes opened slowly, hazily, and your breath caught in your throat at the sight of your gorgeous husband, his naked, glistening skin bathed in the warm, rosy glow of the lights on your Christmas tree. Your first Christmas tree as a married couple. Your first Christmas as the Bradshaws.
In that instant, you thought your heart might really burst with love for him. But what a way to go.
Bradley must have felt the same way you did because he suddenly lifted his head, his hips still moving slowly with yours, and reached up to lightly touch your face, awe glowing in his dark eyes, which were pricked with tears.
“You’re so beautiful, honey,” he whispered, brushing his lips against yours. “So beautiful.”
“So are you,” you breathed out, running your hands up and down his broad, muscular back. One of your hands slowly made its way back up to his face, your fingers tracing the scars on his chin and cheek. “You’re my whole heart.”
“And you’re mine,” Bradley vowed, turning his head slightly so that he could press kisses to your fingertips.
You let out a small whimper as you felt yourself approaching the precipice of another orgasm, your grip on your husband tightening as you gazed up into his eyes.
“I know, baby,” he nodded, no words necessary. “Me, too.”
Wrapping your arms tightly around him, you pressed your mouth against his shoulder as he buried his face in the crook of your neck, both your bodies tensing up as you softly panted and moaned each other’s names.
It was a soft finish, a quiet finish, with both of you clinging to each other for dear life. It was moments like these that rocked your world more than any other, moments when you truly felt that there was no telling where you ended and your husband began.
Sweaty and panting, Bradley pressed slow, sensual kisses to your shoulder and collarbone, his eyes hooded with passion as he met your gaze.
“Honey, that was so…”
“I know,” you nodded, kissing his chin gently.
Neither of you moved. Neither of you wanted to. Bradley continued to lay atop you, still buried deep within, as you tenderly stroked his face and chest.
The silence was broken only when Bradley, resting his weight on his elbows, looked down at you and suddenly asked, “Have I ever told you how beautiful you look in nothing but Christmas lights?”
Laughing, you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. “Funny. I was just about to tell you the same thing.”
“I think I’ve discovered my new favorite spot to make love to you, Mrs. Bradshaw,” he murmured, nuzzling his nose against yours.
Grinning, you shot him a mischievous look and raised your eyebrows. “Then why don’t we do it again?”
“Mrs. Bradshaw, I like the way you think.”

Being a kecle and dating nick bosa and having both brother give her the silent treatment or they blow up on her till. nick goes and talks to them like after each time he's played them so he wouldn't even talk to Jason til the championship game
Tumblr media
Welcome to the Family - Nick Bosa x kelce!sister
(sibling cold shoulder stuff; SFW)
His girlfriend didn't make the trip to Philadelphia to see him play against Eagles. She was back at their home in Santa Clara, nursing a bad cold and holing herself up in guest bedroom away from Nick to prevent him catching her cold during the playoffs.
Nick thought it was ridiculous. She was very sick at first, causing him to consider not even playing in the Dallas game until she chewed him out for it. He was worried about her and the cold she caught, but couldn't seem to shake off.
He was moments away from contacting Mrs. Kelce when his girlfriend finally let up and allowed him to come in the room if he promised to keep a distance and didn't try to kiss her.
Now, she was feeling much better and he was relieved about that, but he was still worried about her. Thankfully one of his teammate's girlfriends, who didn't make the trip either for personal reasons, stopped in to check on her.
He was now in the middle of chatting to his mom and brother before it was time to head out of the hotel when he heard a woman's voice call his name.
He turned around to see the warm, smiling face of Donna Kelce staring back at him.
He was surprised at the sight of her before smiling and accepting the hug she offered him. "Hi, Mrs. Kelce! Great to see you."
She chuckled and chided him, "Now Nick, we spoke about this the last time you saw me. You can call me Donna."
Nick turned and looked to his mother and brother who were watching on curiously. "Mrs. Kelce - Donna, this is my mother, Cheryl Bosa, and my older brother, Joey. Guys this is Donna Kelce. Angie's mom."
Both parties greeted each other warmly, Nick's mom complimenting the split jersey Mrs Kelce was wearing in support of both of her son's playing today.
"I spoke with Angie on the phone a bit ago. I had no idea she was sick!"
Nick nodded and sighed, "Yeah she's been stubborn about it all. She kept herself locked in the guest bedroom the last two weeks, but finally let up about it this past week and let me in to take care of her. She thinks she picked it up at work since it's going around."
Mrs. Kelce nodded, knowing just how stubborn her youngest child was. "Yes, that's definitely something she has in common with Travis. Well - Jason too. They're all stubborn brats at times." She joked.
Nick nodded, saying nothing to the last part, but agreeing whole-heartedly.
His relationship with the Kelce brothers was odd. Her parents were friendly and greeted him with open arms. Her brothers did not.
Travis was the first to finally accept and come to terms that his sister was dating a fellow NFL player, and approached Nick after the 49ers loss earlier in the season to the Chiefs.
Travis had approached him and shook his hand after the game, saying, "Tell Angie I'm stopping by tonight before we fly out tomorrow."
Nick nodded and they parted ways.
That night, Travis sulked a bit at the couple's kitchen table as his sister chewed him out for being an asshole the last couple of months. Nick said nothing and stayed out of it.
Neither man was surprised when she then got to serving dinner and asked to say grace together. That was just Angie's way.
Things were good after that. Sure, they weren't best friends, but an understanding and respect formed between the two of them with Travis even occasionally reaching out to congratulate him on his team's win.
It was just Jason.
Who was still being, "a stubborn asshole whose ass I will kick," according to Angie.
Nick had yet to meet the older brother personally, but knew the man didn't care for him.
Mrs. Kelce gave him another hug again, telling him good luck and saying goodbye to his family as she made her way out of the hotel.
His mom complimented her decision to stop by and greet him.
He appreciated it too.
-----
Nick was deeply upset and hurt as he limped his way off the field. It was crushing to lose so badly like this.
It was if the well oiled machine of the 49ers just came apart in the span of minutes the second Brock went out and Johnson came on.
Everyone there or watching knew it too.
They injury on his ankle was just the icing on the fucking cake.
Just as he was getting ready to leave the field and find refuge in the locker room, wanting so bad to just go back to his girlfriend, he was interrupted by a hand clapping his left shoulder.
He looked up in irritation, both at being interrupted from his gloom and at himself for not realizing someone was likely calling his name just moments ago.
He was surprised to see the serious face of Jason Kelce staring back.
Both were quiet for a moment before Jason held his hand out to him, "Good game, man. I'm sorry it didn't turn out in your favorite tonight. You guys have been killing it all season."
Nick cleared his throat and accepted the handshake. "Thanks. Yeah.. I guess that's just football." He said awkwardly, not knowing what else to say to his girlfriend's oldest brother.
He had overheard the phone argument that day she had with Jason, and had heard the stuff Jason said about him.
He was pissed for the longest time over that, but soon realized that it wasn't really about him at the end of the day personally, but just a man trying to look out for his baby sister.
Still, this was awkward.
"Look," Jason stared away for a minute before looking back at him, trying to ignore the loud cheering of the stadium around them. This wasn't the best place to hold a conversation, but he clearly wanted to do it now and Nick, while exhausted, knew it was pretty important too. "I've been an asshole. I'm sorry for the shit I said to Angie about you and your character. I'm sorry I upset her and made her cry too. She's my baby sister and I am always prepared to step in when necessary. I know that's not much of a consolidation in all of this, but I am sorry for causing any strain on your guys relationship. It wasn't right."
Nick just stared at him for a moment or two, processing what he was saying, before responding back, "I get it dude. I really do. Things have been tough and if I had a younger sister, I couldn't imagine how protective I'd be too of her. Just know she means a lot to me and I'd never go out of my way to cause her hurt."
Jason nodded and reached his hand out once more, "I'm glad we could talk a bit. I don't want to hold you up any longer as I see cameras coming this way. I'll reach out to Angie tonight. I know she's going to have a shit ton of stuff to say to me when I do, but I'm ready for it. We'll need to link up at some point."
"For sure." Nick said.
They shook hands again and parted ways.
Nick was still in his head as he made it off the field and to the guest locker room, muting out the noise around him as he thought about what just happened.
He knew the cameras were recording for a distance as both of them spoke, and he knew Angie was likely watching from home and saw it too.
He was sure his phone was blowing up with texts from her.
After he finished showering and changed, he took a seat in front of his locker as he watched his teammates solemnly pack up and change quickly to get the hell out of that stadium.
He had a few minutes before he had to go talk with the media.
He opened his messages and immediately saw Angie's at the top.
Angelina 🤪 I'm so sorry baby. :(
What did Jason say to you? I will fly out there and kick his fucking ass! Let me make sure I pack my inhaler tho
That was over an hour ago and Nick for a split second was worried that she would be crazy enough to fly out here just to rip her brother a new one.
He quickly texted her back.
Nicholas 🐻 Thank you, babe. And he actually was apologizing. He said he'd be calling you later to see about getting together to clear the air.
You feeling any better?
Her response was immediate
Angelina 🤪 I am feeling a bit better than earlier. I'm glad to know it wasn't him being an asshole. Cause he knows I will come out there if I have too.
Nick quietly chuckled a bit to himself at that, knowing how true it was.
Just then his name was called to go out and speak to the press. He sighed and slipped his phone into his pocket as he got up.
While his season was now over as well as his team's chance at the Super Bowl, he'd take the personal win of making amends with his girlfriend's older brother.
Now, if only Angie doesn't kill him when he tells her his plans of not attending the Super Bowl..

Tumblr media
Santa Clara, California, 1987
The boardwalk was crowded. It was warm, a perfect balmy California night. The salt air kissed my skin as I moved through the crowd, the music surrounding me as the shirtless singer gyrated on the stage, his bare chest glistening with sweat.
I was aware of him as I was aware of everyone in the crowd, my enhanced senses picking up sounds and smells that no mortal would be able to track. But the singer wasn’t why I was here.
I was on the hunt. I had been sent out on a mission and Liam expected results. We had lost several members of our nest recently and we needed to shore up our numbers.
Why was this my responsibility? Because I had staked a couple of them myself. Neville and Tariq. Trust me, they deserved it.
The back of my neck prickled as I felt his gaze on me. I stopped my forward momentum and turned to face the stage. Forcing my attention to the band, I lifted my hands in the air and clapped along. I didn’t have to look to know that he was still staring.
All right then, time to take a peek. I turned my head to the right, just as the younger boy next to him grabbed him by his cheek and turned his head away. His eyes slid sidewise toward me, and his head moved slowly as if against his will until he was staring at me openly again.
His gaze was heavy, intense and it would have sent heat plunging through me even if I’d still been mortal. There was no mistaking the desire there, his eyes were heavy with it. The weight of it sent an ache of hunger through me, and not just for his blood.
I gave him the barest of smiles, my eyes darting away and back again. The laser focus he directed at me caused my smile to widen as molten lava poured through my center. The corner of his mouth lifted into a tantalizing smile of his own. That smirk made promises. Promises I wanted him to keep.
I felt an inexplicable pull to this total stranger. A pull like I’d never felt before, in this life or my previous one. My body was screaming at me to move, to run toward him, to wrap myself around him and let myself drown in his intensity.
But interacting with me would be signing his death warrant, one way or the other. Was I really ready to consign this beautiful boy to a half-life of living in the shadows? Take him from the sunlight?
No, I was not.
Even though my body was on fire, I broke eye contact, turned, and disappeared into the crowd.

PALO ALTO, Calif. (KRON) — Stanford University’s star athlete, Katie Meyer, was found dead inside her dorm room the morning after the university threatened her with expulsion, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed last week and obtained by KRON4.
A coroner ruled Meyer’s death a suicide after she was found dead on March 1. The night before, on February 28, she received a distressing email from Stanford’s Office of Community Standards informing Meyer that she was facing a formal disciplinary charge, according to the lawsuit filed on behalf Meyer’s parents in Santa Clara County Superior Court.
The charge stemmed from an incident in which Meyer poured coffee on a football player after he kissed one of Meyer’s soccer teammates without consent, the suit states.
Meyer, 22, was a “perfectionist,” captain of the women’s soccer team, held a 3.84 GPA, and was just a few months shy from graduating, according to the suit.
The prestigious university’s office ordered Meyer to appear for a disciplinary hearing to potentially face “removal from the university,” attorneys with Justice Law Collaborative wrote.
According to Gina and Steven Meyer, their daughter had “an acute stress reaction that impulsively led her” to die by suicide, attorneys wrote. “The actions that led to the death of Katie Meyer began and ended with Stanford University.”
The young athlete’s sudden death sent shockwaves of grief through Stanford’s campus and the sport of soccer nationwide.
Stanford University officials called the lawsuit’s allegations “false and misleading.” Stanford soccer star Katie Meyer dies by suicide
“The Stanford community continues to grieve Katie’s tragic death and we sympathize with her family for the unimaginable pain that Katie’s passing has caused them. However, we strongly disagree with any assertion that the university is responsible for her death,” Stanford officials wrote in a statement.
The statement continued, “Stanford’s Office of Community Standards (OCS) received a complaint regarding alleged behavior by Katie that resulted in physical injury, and as is the practice of the office, it launched a review of that allegation.  After extensive factfinding and the opportunity for both sides to provide information, it was found that the high threshold was met for the matter to proceed to a hearing. However, it is important to emphasize that we are committed to supporting students through the student judicial process under OCS, and we did so in this case. In particular, the university offered Katie an advisor to work with her throughout the process and told her she could have a support person of her choosing with her in any meeting or conversation with OCS. The allegation that OCS did not communicate with Katie prior to February 28 is also incorrect. Several days earlier, the head of OCS had informed Katie that a decision would be made by February 28 whether to proceed to a hearing.”
The unnamed football player never wanted the school to take disciplinary actions against Katie Meyer, and he did not file a complaint with the OCS. Instead, Dean of Residential Education Lisa Caldera filed the complaint, according to the lawsuit.
The letter that Katie Meyer received on the evening of her death was sent by Assistant Dean Tiffany Gabrielson, and contained threatening language regarding sanctions, the suit claims.
The coffee-spilling incident happened on Aug. 28, 2021, but formal charge letter was not sent until the evening of Feb. 28, 2022.
Katie Meyer immediately responded to the email expressing how “shocked and distraught” she was over being charged. That evening, she was sitting alone in her dorm room and feeling terrified that her future would be destroyed, the lawsuit claims.
Earlier that same day, Katie Meyer was happily making plans for spring break and booking plane tickets, attorneys wrote. She attended classes, went to soccer practice, met up with friends, and FaceTimed with her mother and sister.
“Everyone she interacted with has advised she was well, in good spirits and the usual Katie,” the lawsuit states. Her death “was completed without planning and solely in response to the shocking and deeply distressing information she received from Stanford while alone.”
Katie Meyer was a fiercely competitive and passionate student-athlete. She led her team to an NCAA women’s soccer championship in 2019.
Stanford University “used” Katie Meyer as the face of its outstanding athletic teams, yet failed to support her mental well-being, legal expert Paula Canny told KRON4.
The lawsuit is an “indictment on Stanford’s disciplinary system,” Canny said. “It sure sounds like they did do something wrong.”
Stanford alumni who founded the Student Justice Project criticized the university for denying responsibility in connection to Meyer’s death.
“Katie Meyer was a beloved member of our community,” said alum Bob Ottilie. “It is unfair for Stanford to suggest she bears sole responsibility for her death; Stanford has to candidly assess the role they played here.”
The Student Justice Project, founded by five Stanford alumni in 2012, conducted case studies in 2012 and 2013 that found the university’s disciplinary process was “extreme.”
“Our extensive investigation from a decade ago indisputably demonstrated that Stanford University used draconian tactics to negatively impact the lives of its own students,” Ottilie said.
Ottilie has represented students accused of misconduct by the university in dozens of cases. He said Katie Meyer’s matter “would have been the least significant student disciplinary issue I had ever addressed at a college or university. It does not appear to have been a big deal at all,” Ottilie said of the charge against Katie Meyer.

You can always count on the Santa Clara Players (SCP) to tickle your funny bone with an offbeat—and often little-known—comedy. “A Bad Year for Tomatoes,” which premiered in Ohio in 1974, runs Feb. 23 – March 16. “Directing this wacky, funny show with this talented cast has been a joy,” said Gilroy resident Bill Starr, a seasoned Bay Area director doing his second gig for Santa Clara Players. While living in New York City, he acted in 18 Broadway shows. Read complete news at svvoice.com.

was cleaning and found the ghosts of cuda past under a pile of mail. iirc they handed this out at the last home game of the season which was only open to season ticket holders bc it was held in one of the small rinks of sharks ice (prior to completion of the reef), a game which the cuda ofc lost. it was loud af though. i think this was taken during the 15 game losing streak bc there's a couple of now-former sharkuda missing who were up with the big club at the end of the season and this isn't their opening night roster
but mostly i just want us all to sit for a moment with adam raška's shit-eating grin right in the middle of a pile of men looking various degrees of miserable and concerned. he does not give one single shit abt their losing streak. every single player on the roster is looking down the barrel of a gun and rašky and the goalies are like, hmm. if we must die, let us die historic on west santa clara street. and boy did they ever.

One Kiss - Nick Bosa Part 1
Tumblr media
Warnings: 18+ content ahead. Age gap - although not significant. Mentions adultery.
She never expected a 1:00 am drunk DM to lead to this. Times like these made her question reality. Was this really happening? How did she end up here?
Here being in the bedroom of Nick Bosa’s Santa Clara apartment.
As she lay on her back with her thighs hugging his head, that was nestled between them as he ate her out, she felt like she was drunk right now. He was a giving lover, in a way that she never experienced before. With her estranged husband, it was never like that. She couldn’t remember in the 15 years married to him that she ever felt pleasure like this. Anything before Nick paled in comparison.
How did it start? Well…
It started four months ago after she had a fight with her husband. At 37 years old, she was dissatisfied with her current life. Her husband was neglectful of her emotions and her needs, her friends were busy with their lives and raising children, and she didn’t want to burden her family with her troubles. When her husband stormed out after their latest argument about his indifference to her and possible infidelity, she decided she had had enough at that moment.
She was downing a bottle of wine while watching tv and scrolling on her phone. While on Instagram, she had seen the latest picture Nick Bosa had shared of him posing after a win. She felt herself warm up at the sight of him, her eyes scanning his god-like physique underneath his uniform. There was not one inch of him that wasn’t perfect.
Drunk off half a bottle of wine, she sent him a DM, hoping he’d actually open the message request and see it. In it, she had sent him a photo of her in his jersey (from a few weeks ago when she posed up with her friend at Levi Stadium) with the message, “scarlet looks good on the both of us. Wonder what it would look like off? ;)”
At some point she had made her way into the bedroom and fell asleep. When she got back up the next morning, she was so hungover she thought the world was ending. It in fact did not. However, as she came to about the prior night’s events.. She felt mortification seep in as she realized what she had sent to Nick fucking Bosa..
Scrambling to find her cell phone, she prayed to God that she could delete the message request and let it disappear into the back of her mind.
Ignoring her killer hangover, she darted into the bathroom, finding her cellphone on near the sink where she left it last night.
Picking up her phone, she felt her stomach drop when she saw quite a few notifications from Instagram…
Sitting on the toilet seat, she swallowed nervously as she unlocked her phone and opened the app.
Pulling up the app she almost dropped her phone in absolute shock. Not only did Nick Bosa see her picture and read her message.. He had responded back with, “Damn.. would love to get together and find out, baby.”
And from there started a flirty banter for a few weeks between the two. One that would lead into a mutual friends with benefits situation while he was in the Bay area during the season.
She’d never forget the first time he invited her over to his apartment. He greeted her at the door as he invited her in. Once she was through the threshold, he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her cheek twice, the second being close to her lips. They both realized then that the night was going to end with them fucking - that was a given with how the teasing had built up.
Nick was an NFL player and she worked as a human resource specialist for a tech company in the Bay. Both wanted to keep lowkey for different reasons. He didn’t want the press on his ass so soon after breaking up with his TikTok-famous girlfriend, and she was married; regardless of the estrangement. That would look bad for both of them - even worse for her.
He had his chef prepare them a meal prior to her arrival and was pulling her seat out for her as she entered the small dining room. Throughout the meal, they joked back and forth about different things. They both had a love for history with her suggesting to him the latest book she picked up on the Lewis and Clark expeditions. Nick shared with her his reading list from when he was on the road.
She was surprised at how well they connected. The sexual chemistry was there from the beginning. The first time she has facetimed Nick, she could see his eyes widen before darkening as he bluntly told her “You are way fucking hotter than what you post on Instagram.. And those are fucking hot pics.. But damn…”
Her account was private thankfully, so no one really noticed the new account following her’s, the one with a bear for its profile picture and no posts or other follows.
After eating spaghetti alla puttanesca and drinking wine, they made it to the couch where Nick ate her out and then fucked her for the first time.
It ended up being a regular occurrence for them. They spoke everyday and saw each other almost every other day in some way.
As they got deeper and deeper into this tangled web that was their relationship, she paid less and less attention to her husband.. Something he had begun to notice and a shift in him started to happen. He was trying to talk with her more.
She didn’t know what was to come next but, she surely wasn't expecting the following events.
Especially, back to the present, as she came down from a high, panting loudly beneath Nick as he rutted into her a few more times.
She ran her fingers up his back, smoothing over his neck and up to his hair. The curly tuft he usually gelled up was sweat-soaked from their love-making. He had leaned his head down to rest on her shoulder, pressing kisses to the soft skin there as he panted for air.
“Babe..” he started to say, slowly lifting himself back up and shifting to rest on his side as he propped one arm up, the other reaching to smooth across her rosy cheeks. “I’ve been thinking about this for a while..”  He started to say.
She stared now, with rapt attention, waiting for what he was going to say. Was he going to break it off between them? Was this too much?
Before her brain started to spiral into the other ‘what ifs’, he spoke again.
“You should end it with your husband. I’ll help pay for the divorce.. I just, I want to be with you. It doesn’t have to be in front of cameras or on the internet. I want to meet your friends and family, and I want you to meet mine..” He said with earnest eyes pleading at her. “I didn’t think this would happen over the last few months.. But I think about you every time we’re apart and I fucking love you.”
She was teary-eyed as she stared back at him, shocked at his admission. She felt the same, but wasn’t sure how to proceed. Divorce was going to be imminent, regardless of the sudden shift in her husband’s behavior as of late. She wasn’t happy with him like she was in this moment with Nick. Would it lead to something permanent with him? She didn’t know that. What she did know is that she wanted to reclaim her life again and find happiness once more. With Nick and their current situation, it gave her a taste of what she missed out on.
“I… I love you too, Nick.. I’m going to have to consult a lawyer about the divorce filing, and I can’t have you pay for that. You aren’t responsible for that.” She saw him speak up in rebuttal, but held her finger up to stop him, pressing it against his lips. “I have more than enough money to file for divorce and hire a lawyer to uphold my prenup. Don’t worry.”
He pouted slightly at that but nodded. He reached out to smooth his hand up her stomach, sending shivers up her spine. His hand stopped at her chest, him palming her breast before moving to rest his hand at the base of her neck, leaning in gently, he pressed his lips to hers languidly.
He leaned back and pressed his forehead to hers, “We’ll figure it out.”
She only hoped they could.. because deep down she had a bad feeling about what was to come next.
