Kind of an Nia post but also a writing post.

I always felt like a good writer can equally make arguments as if they were a debate for and against a character and or ideology. So that the reader can understand why a character or ideology (be that political, religious, etc.,) believes something

The other day I was just bored and decided to work on some lore for an IF idea that I’m not even going to write for the foreseeable future. And I was thinking that it had 3 different factions and I was thinking up what criticisms factions B and C could have with faction A and what arguments faction A could counter. The criticisms and the justifications from either side had to be compelling. Even if one faction is essentially authoritarian, there had to be a compelling reason why they believe humans need this

Moustache twirling villains are boring. Being evil for the sake of being evil can sometimes be fun but I find that when dealing with humans it’s more complicated.

And this is essentially how I created Nia. I have an argument for her choice and an argument against it. It’s being playing out during the game between her and crowny and it will really open up in episode 8 in why they both see themselves as justified and the other as not.

I love the idea of being in others shoes

You're not actually a better friend for not articulating and respecting your own needs, limits and boundaries. Your lack of communication and boundaries is not some impressive sacrifice. You're not doing anyone any favors by acting like you're okay with things you aren't okay with. You're just building burnout and resentment that will eventually damage the relationship in question. And when you eventually snap and walk away because you silently overburdened yourself to be a "good friend", it won't be the other persons fault

I actually get a lot of asks about Eden and Nia 🫣 My girl failure is a successful simp 😤 Here are the girls before Eden got locked up in the hospital!

When I draw my own OCs, I don’t mind if they look sketchy or kind of ugly, but when I draw the ROs, I want them to be as pretty as possible. So I keep going back to fix little things haha 😭😭 Under the cut is me yapping... o)-(

All of my Crownies had a crush on Nia at some point 🫣 Eden doesn’t really understand emotions, so she tries to explain them in a textbook kind of way. That creates a gap between what she thinks she should feel and what she actually feels. She also applies that logic to other people.

In her mind, Sally cares about her because he's her brother. So even though she clings to that love like a dead fish, she still believes there’s a reason behind his kindness. But Nia has no reason to care about someone like her, especially after those two years Eden was gone (she doesn't understand how friendship works), and yet Nia still cares. That makes my silly Crownies go even sillier in the head 😭

Asjhsda I'm not good with words but Eden's relationships, and how different they are in each route, have been living rent-free in my head for so long 😭😭

Thank you for liking my OCs!! Especially if you read all the way down here 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ Hopefully once school stops punching me in the face, I can draw more. There's still so much I want to yap about 😭😭

I don't think enough can be said about how Jamaica conceded a hat trick in every game they played in the 2019 World Cup and this year they were the last team of the entire tournament to concede a goal.

also, theres no such a thing as "hormone pills" as far as I know. there are the gel type and the one applied in a syringe.

At that point in time even puberty blockers weren’t something administered (that was in the late 90s).

As for HRT, in the early 90s estradiol which came in pill form was used for mtf which was unstable and now is not used anymore due to the side effects it could possibly have but you’re right that for ftm there was the testosterone shot the gels and patches didn’t exist yet

My Crowny should stop finding people who hate her physically attractive.

After reading that scene between Prudence and Crowny, all the blue-eyed members want to leave the town at some point, so now my Crowny kind of has the impression that half the family has eyes that reflect some distant horizon while her father, Sally and she herself have the eyes color of someone who is stuck under this town’s gray sky 👁️👁️

Chapter 6 was a blast with all the family drama 😭 and I already feel so bad about what tiny Crowny did I can’t wait to see what she did to her sister. 🙏
