Men,
they used to love
Not anymore
Not now
I'm sweating cold
Maybe the hangover doesn't let me think, throwing up with such guilt
I wish I didn't exist
Why like this ?? Why? Why it is me?

22-23 FEBRUARY 1847 - BATTLE OF BUENA VISTA - #MexicanWar General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, military commander in chief and President of Mexico, took the field to personally assemble and command an army at San Luia Potosi. Major General Zachary Taylor's U.S. Army force numbered about 4,500 men, primarily in volunteer units drawn from several states' militias because nearly all of the regulars had been sent to Major General Winfield Scott's army preparing to invade Mexico at Vera Cruz. When Santa Anna learned that a numerically weaker force was left to defend the American logistics center at Saltillo, he advanced with an army of about 15,000 troops to attack in February 1847. Brigadier General John E. Wool, commanding the U.S. Army's Division of the Center, redeployed his the 3,400-man force from Agua Nueva to La Angostura, at the foot of the Sierra Madres, to block the Mexican advance, and chose excellent defensive terrain near hacienda de Buena Vista. On 22 February, Santa Anna attacked, attempted to overwhelm American positions with heavy columns of infantry. The outnumbered American infantry and artillery fought fiercely, but the Mexican soldiers advanced courageously despite their casualties and nearly outflanked the defenders. The next day, Taylor reached the battlefield with a small reinforcement that included the 1st Mississippi Rifle Regiment and additional artillery. The battle raged for several hours when the vanguard of a strong Mexican column emerged from a ravine and was closing in on their objective. Taylor repositioned forces, including the Mississippi Rifles and massed artillery firing canister at close range, that stopped the enemy attack and inflicted heavy casualties. After two days of the most severe fighting of the war, Santa Anna withdrew his dispirited army to San Luis Potosi, leaving the Americans, although too exhausted to pursue, firmly in control of northern Mexico. #Armyhistory #USArmy #TRADOC #MilitaryHistory #SantaAnna #ZacharyTaylor Posted @withregram • @armyhistory #todayinarmyhistory https://www.instagram.com/p/CpAYeYpOGOR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Sharing the second half of my Sauron/Annatar Santa commission from the amazing @sauroff. My suggestion of a Chibi surprised us both, but she ran with it, and I love him. SantaAnna? SantaSauron? Wouldn't you love to know what's in the bag of goodies?

North America 177 years ago today: Texas Incursions (15 Sep 1842) https://buff.ly/2Mx8qes Conflict with the Comanche did not stop Texas from pursuing its vast territorial claims against Mexico. In 1841 the Texians mounted an expedition to seize distant Santa Fe, part of their claim to New Mexico, only for it to be captured on arrival. In retaliation the Mexicans attempted to retake Texas, but got little further than San Antonio before being repelled. #northamerica #history #map #1840s #19thcentury #victorianera #victorian #1842 #americanhistory #ushistory #mexicanhistory #santaanna #newmexico #republicoftexas #texanhistory #riogrande #september #september15 #comanche #britishempire #thisdayinhistory #maps #todayinhistory #historytoday #historyteacher #historybuff #historygeek #historynerd #worldhistory #cartography (at Santa Fe, New Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2bPdqvgG5i/?igshid=1olvbrvs8n88g

Ya no es posible llorar
Siento tanta vergüenza, me estoy destruyendo
¿En qué momento lo dejé pasar?
No creo poder
Voy a correr, este venus no deja de sangrar... escapar, no puedo anticipar
¿Qué haría yo en mí lugar?
Quebrar espejos no me lleva a ningún lugar
Solo necesito 24 horas más, está vez ya no me quiero lastimar
Ya no es posible llorar
