Sariel my beloved, she's finally done 💖💖

She was probably the hardest to find a purpose for. There wasn't anything clear in the wikis or anywhere else in my research, so she's kinda just an agent of chaos who primarily deals with mortals. For those who ask for her help, she'll bestow a blessing, and if she feels like things need a little more fun, she'll make some mischief. She just has to toe the line between "fun and games" and "genuine disobedience that could spell trouble for everyone."

She doesn't have as clear a purpose as the other archangels, and this led her to become closer to Lucifer in the beginning. She encouraged his dreams and creations when no one else did, but she was iffy about feeding the fruit to Eve. To her, this was probably crossing a line, though even she didn't know what would happen. She'd advised Lucifer against it but wouldn't stop him if he went through with it.

And well,,,, we all know what happened next,,,

I like to think she kept in communication with Lucifer. As the archangel for chaos and sinners, maybe she went to Hell in person (the others are barred from doing so by their own nature). Maybe she sent notes back and forth. She said she was sorry for being unable to protect him a long time ago. At this point, she'd have a much easier time reconnecting than everyone else uwu

Designing the archangels in the god possessed pentious au, here's Gabriel the Messenger!

Gabriel was god's main host while he watched earth, and he's the one best equipped to interact with, see, and be possessed by god. After ten thousand years, he's getting a well-deserved break ^^

Since they shared a body for the longest time (on and off but still), their personalities are kinda mingled and mixed together. They're both questionably moral and can be prone to spontaneous tears lmao. And they're both quite fond of Pentious! Gabriel's fondness is more akin to finally having someone he can relate to tho XD I feel like they'd become friends in the near future uwu

Gabriel is also the one most comfortable with calling out god's shit, especially once he recognizes that there's a line that can be crossed and that HAS BEEN crossed once before. Everyone else is too scared to do it XD

Archangels in order of age:

* Michael: the oldest, made almost as soon as Creation was, was given the explicit directive to protect that he has since taken very seriously

* Gabriel: second to be made, initially was only a puppet before he grew into his personality, El needed a body to interact with his archangels

* Sariel: she holds being older than everyone else over their heads, especially Raguel, purely there for the sillies at first

* Uriel: immediately started taking notes on everything, could not be stopped-

These four were made quite close (only a few decades apart), so they consider each other familial siblings and return those feelings with each other. This is not to be confused with brothers/sisters/siblings of a more "comrade" style (I guess??). Michael is the clear oldest and leader, and the rest don't really bother with the whole "who's older" thing

* Raguel: was made quite a few hundred years after the first four when El took a peek at the future and realized he might need to delegate judgment to one of them

* Phanuel: was made the same year as Raguel from that same vision, so they consequently share aspects of their look, super happy and bubbly at first

These two purely consider each other their familial sibling since they're essentially twins and were made centuries after the initial four. Michael and Sariel consider them their familial siblings (Michael cuz he feels responsible for everyone, Sariel because she's always wanted younger siblings to affectionately bully uwu), but Phanuel and Raguel do not return this sentiment. They consider Gabriel a friend, and Gabriel returns this sentiment. Uriel is indifferent to them

* Raphael: the youngest, did not know what they should be healing until humans started sinning and harming one another, subsequently went "oh shit I literally cannot help them myself-" and started blessing their health advances real quick

Raphael considers everyone else to be their familial sibling like Michael does. Gabriel and Phanuel consider Raphael a very good friend, Raguel views them more as a pleasant coworker. Uriel is indifferent to them, too
