Come one, come all, Sasori lovers!

It is January 1st, 2024 and the Sasori Bunraku server is OFFICIALLY OPEN!

About the server: We are a community of artists, writers, and fans of Sasori. We are strictly 18+ and open to all things from SFW to dead dove. Our goal is to support others in our community, regardless of "popularity" level or output. We are here to create a positive hype space for all by sharing works and engaging with others!

Server perks: We will be the hub for Sasori Week 2024 as well as other events. We will also be hosting art streams, writing sprints, and in-server flash fic events. We even have custom emoji by wonderful artists in our community!

So if you, too, are a Sasori truther and wish to join us, we will be happy to have you! Link will be active for one week.

Flash Fic Weekend Event Part 3

Summary: She was always his muse.

The gallery was empty, illuminated only by a few lights.

Ino loved those stolen moments with Sasori, when they could find each other in his gallery without the press, without his work between them.

Ino joined Sasori in front of one of his portraits of her, still wearing her dress. She laughed delightedly, clutching her purse to her side, mesmerized by the vivid paint brushes on the canvas; they sharpened her face, they made her look like flowing water, like billowing thunder.

“It’s beautiful,” she breathed, brightening, and almost regretted it.

Sasori didn’t say anything.

Ino wilted.

She stilled, watching him out of the corner of her eyes. Sasori always expected more than praise. He expected eternal beauty. He expected things from her that she never truly understood, but she craved to be his. Sculpted. Painted. She craved it all, how he drew in, alive, and vibrant, and so beautiful.

Out of vanity, she knew she could afford to love him until he loved her back. She was always next to him. She was always his muse.

She followed him, her heels exploding with each step. Sasori once told her how beauty was loud. She had laughed and told him that she had always been loud.

She smiled again, warmth spreading back in her chest. He knew how to make her louder, more beautiful. Yes, this was enough for now.  

She followed him, fleeting, smiling, in the second wing of the exposition.

Sasori stopped in front of a new sculpture of her in polished ebony. She was lying against a tree, the small of her back curved away from it, and her hair half veiling her naked form. She almost looked like she was made of polished black stone.

Ino smiled, turning her head toward him, but he paid no attention to her, entranced by the wood and the shape of her he managed to carve out of it.        

“I love the way you let me use you,” Sasori hummed, looking through her, at the sculpture. Her bone structure was perfect, he thought. “Like a pretty little doll.” His thumb slid beneath the sculpture’s jawline as if she was alive.

Her smile quivered as Ino remembered how he placed her head with this exact gesture. He had tilted her head back and forward until he was satisfied.

“Beautiful,” he breathed out, and he turned away from the sculpture to stop in front of another portrait of her.

Watching him, Ino knew at that moment, with dread gnawing at her, that Sasori never saw her as human.

He touched her indifferently, she now could see it. He rearranged her like a doll, and always, he sighed, content, looking at her like she was art, like she gleamed and sparkled as a million stars. Like she was on the verge of being extinguished.

Ino stepped back, gutted, weighed down by the absolute certainty that she was less beautiful than the previous day, and the day before that.

And for this reason alone, he could never love her.

Hello Sasori truthers, happy holidays! Today we bring you some exciting news!

In one week's time we will be officially opening a Discord server dedicated to our one and only weird king!

The Sasori Bunraku server will be open to all ships and non-ships and will include everything on the SFW to Dead Dove spectrum. We are strictly 18+ but the user may choose their level of explicitness and change that level at any time!

Our goal is to support artists, writers, and fans of every level, big or small. We are here to create a positive hype space for all by sharing works and engaging with others in the community! Join us for a fun and free creation environment geared towards our lovely Sasori community and keep an eye out for that invite link coming your way on 1/1/2024!

We can't wait to see you in the new year!
