Little A's very first pet, Aly the plain tiger caterpillar 😆 // Found it on my plant and Little A immediately declared it as her pet and named it Aly. Googled and asked friends about it and turns out it feeds only on very specific plants which I didn't have. Was worried it'd die of hunger so went to a nursery to buy a plant JUST TO FEED ALY, JUST COZ MY DAUGHTER NAMED IT AND CALLED IT HER PET hence making me feel responsible for its well-being. Well, Aly, congrats on being my daughter's first (short-term) pet. 😆 #aletheateo #savealy https://www.instagram.com/adel.tyeo/p/BwzShWEHsgq/?igshid=1994j868bqgns

Rey: Conflict and Choice
@saveali asked for my thoughts on Rey in The Last Jedi, which turned into a decently lengthy meta about her character arc, and good and evil in the Star Wars universe. Below the cut because spoilers.
Rey’s arc in The Last Jedi was an arc of conflict and choice - she has both light and dark inside her (as everyone does) and is incredibly and increasingly aware of that. She was also grappling with the legacy of the Jedi as infallible heroes of the light, as well as the pressure to find/be the saviour of the resistance. Luke tried to teach her about balance in the force, but honestly he didn’t do a great job of it, mostly because he was going through his own arc of working out what that means. His version had been to not do anything at all, which obviously doesn’t work for the impulsive and headstrong Rey.
Rey’s idea of how to bring balance to the Force is to redeem Ben Solo, a much more active solution, even though it’s no more effective or doable. But just like Luke’s guilt has paralysed him into inaction and neutrality, Rey’s spirit won’t let her not try something.
It’s around this point in the movie that Rey makes her choice - she chooses to try to save Ben Solo, she chooses to not let Luke down, she chooses to fight for what she loves, not against what she hates. Because of this, her mind isn’t changed when Luke lets her down, or when Kylo does.
This choice wasn’t made based on whether there was more light or dark inside of her, but instead because of what she wants the galaxy to be like - a place of hope, and happiness, and safety, for all who live in it. She - and the movie - reject the idea that her path is determined by the amount of light or dark inside her. Her balance becomes a lack of a dichotomy, a choice made in the name of hope and love.  Maybe that is what the light actually is - making choices in the name of hope and love. Indeed that’s definitely what I think goodness is, and what I think the movie thinks goodness is. But it does loosen the strict connection of good = light and evil = dark. Kylo Ren isn’t evil because he gets angry, he’s evil because he chooses hatred and power. He has light in him - a potential for kindness and love - but he doesn’t choose to follow that part of him, and so he rejects good.
Light and dark are what we feel inside, good and evil are what we choose to do with how we feel. And Rey, who feels both light and dark, chooses good.

Bill serves chips? That's copying Rose serving chips in School Reunion 😤 Moffat is so unoriginal smh #chipgate v2.0 (in case anyone sees this who wasn't around for chipgate, I'm not being serious 😛)
Meanwhile, the Doctor going undercover as a teacher? Unacceptable repitition! She even calls him a professor, only Ace gets to do that! Only one character can ever do one thing! It’s theirs forever after that!

saveali replied to your post “The more I see of The Cursed Child, the more I’m convinced that Lucas...”
Which is worse, "I don't like sand" or "entirely ruining Voldemort Day"
I’d say that, “I don’t like sand” is worse. The Voldemort Day thing might work with the right delivery (even if the name is stupid), but no amount of context or acting can save the sand lines.
