Was going to take some pics of the #hmasotama but my stupid #iphone11pro screen went dark so I couldn't see where the #djimini2 was pointed. Even the map was dark, so I found the rth button. When it returned I made sure the phones auto brightness was turned off and it was. I put the phone into my pocket and 10mins later the screen brightened so so thought I'd give it another go only for the screen to go dark again at about 100mtrs out 😡last time I leave my iPad at home! Lucky I had my trusty #sonyrx10m4 with me. The #submarine is about 800mtrs off shore and the #mini2 handled it easy. ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.’ Margaret Mead 🕊 Woolley’s beach at Westernport, #morningtonpeninsula has unique wetlands, mangroves and sea grasses which support wading birds, marine life and the eco-systems that support all life and bio-diversity in Westernport. The State government and Mornington Shire council think it’s fine to allow the industrialization of these waters, ‘selling’ it off to a temporary dodgy project proposed by AGL to import LNG gas, with the accompanying pipelines across residences and food growing agricultural areas to Pakenham. Australia will become one of the biggest producers of gas in the world, but AGL see a temporary window of profit making, which will cause irreparable damage to these parts. A short-sighted typical exploitation and plundering project considering wetlands, mangrove and sea grasses are the biggest storers of carbon, which mitigates carbon going into the atmosphere contributing to greenhouse gasses and climate change. I started a page on FB called ‘No AGL gas terminus for Crib Point’ last year, and now a group of us have nearly a thousand signatures, have had articles and front pages in local papers and are moving forward to stop any further destruction of Westerport. 🌿🌏🌿 #savewesternport #gaia #FossilFree #StopAdani #renewables #lockthegate #bassstraight #pakenham #farming #pipelines #environmental #destruction
