I don't care how unrealistic it was, I was happy to have Maddox back for the final season. She was one of my favorite parts of season 3.

She's always had difficulty making friends, now she gets to go to school with everyone she met at camp. There's something sweet about that.

Though it wasn't focused on much, her relationship with her brother was much better.

Wish she got to sing more or got a solo, Saylor Bell Curda has a nice voice. Her parts in "Call It What You Want" and "Nightmares Come To Life" were pretty good.

And her outfits were cute :)

Misplaced Malice || Saylor and Micah

Saylor’s hair dripped wet down their back, the droplets wetting the white wife beater that they wore until bronzed skin showed through. Even the hints of a tattoo were visible beneath the fabric. The door to the truck they had bought for themselves slammed, a 1960 Ford F100 pickup truck, mint green. It had been restored beautifully, the one possession that Saylor was truly proud of. From the back the treasures that had taken hours of careful cultivation under the sea were carefully unloaded. Arms full, they headed for the door at the back of the shop. The walk from truck to door was short but in their hurry to get everything in, they’d neglected to realize someone would need to open the door, a feat that would be impossible with the key lodged firmly in their back pocket. A slew of curses flew from their mouth as they kicked at the steel door roughly; once, twice, three times, the sound of metal against metal echoed into the air thanks to their steel toed boots. Nothing. 

A sound akin to a growl graveled in their throat as they set the delicate objects down and dug for the offending piece of key shaped aluminum. Finally, with a grunt and pull, the door swung open. The results of their quarry were placed with gentle care into the area that was marked for storage and cleaning. An apron was thrown on over the wife beater and heavily distressed jeans. They then plaited their hair back with lither fingers before it was twisted into a bun and secured with a piece of leather pulled from around their wrist. 

The sight that met them at the counter when they finally made their way to the customer face of the store caused twinges of red to seep into their vision as though drops of blood had been dripped into their eyes. Micah was there, a customer in front of him. Saylor’s jaw muscle twitched. Their boot against the metal of the door could not have been quiet, yet here he stood, without having bothered to help. A logical part of Saylor’s brain cooed to them that he was with a customer, that he would not have been able to leave him unattended. But the bone they had to pick with him truly had nothing to do with him at all. It was simply stress, brought on by the approach of basketball season the way their course work had intensified over the course of the semester. 

As soon as the bell above the door signaled the exist of the customer, Saylor rounded on him, “Next time you hear someone banging at the door, how ‘bout you fuckin’ open it, yeah?” Their words were waspish and harsh. The rant continued in Spanish, “¡Jesucristo, no tengo tiempo para lidiar con esta mierda!“ Everything beyond that was simply unintelligible cursing as they began to bang things around to prepare for a particularly large order.
