Alright, Day Two! I promise there's a better chance of my answers being more concise than yesterday! So, today's prompt is:

What is your favorite Sengoku Basara game?

Solid question... SB3 is always going to have a special place in my heart for how many hours I put into it and also one of two entries in English as someone who doesn't know nearly enough Japanese to understand the rest without a guide, but I've been playing more Sumeragi lately and really having a great (if confusing) time! Great roster of playable characters, great music, fun stages, some real fine tuned mechanics, only thing I'm missing is additional game modes like in SB2H to be honest.

Q2 : Favorite game ?

Though the first one I played is SB3, and though I have gained the platinum and played it 300 hours, my top 1 is Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes !! The gameplay feels more simplistic when you're used to SB3, but the graphisms are very beautiful, I adore the old anime style and I love the stories !!

The game feels like the only thing that would make it better would be the possibility to play SB2's character stories but that's purely nitpicking at this point

And ofc I absolutely adore the variety of game modes. I feel like it's something that modern games barely have anymore due to the extreme popularization of open worlds, so I really love to play SB2H and see how much care they put into proposing fun little gamemode

The tournament is 100% my favorite, it's just so fun and I love the voicelines and the challenge

Oh and I'll throw in my Sengoku Basara HD Collection hehe, it's really a very nice HD collection and I wish they still did those kind of compilations today, esp when they add in little bonuses hehehe

If you have the chance to I def recommand trying SB1 too, it's a very interesting experience !!!

Thursday 6 June Penrith to Largs

Surprisingly event free but quite windy trip through southern Scotland. Very professional and friendly service from Largs marina who hoisted and beloved into the water. Took the walk into the town along the coast for an Italian at the iconic Tony Macaroni’s - maybe the underlying SB2H theme is recurring!. The not so good news is that it remains freezing cold - stiff NW winds keeping overnight temperatures in single figures. The lightweight pyjamas not yet having seen the light of day!

🌙🌙Sengoku Basara 30 days challenge 🌙🌙

Q4 : Least favorite game ?

(well actually it's Q3 bc I'm a dumbass who can't read)

So I took all the games even the ones I haven't played, I'd pick the one that I want to play the least which is Yukimura-den (I usually don't like the concept of reboots), but if I talk only about the ones I played that would be Utage 🤔

My reasonning being that since I consider SB2H to be a game of its own apart from SB2, I have the same standarts for Utage and generally I just feel like they could have added more content, and it was a bit disappointing that the new stories were only three chapters longs. I also feel like the menu and character selection looks a bit ugly compared the the usual game.

Though I still don't consider it bad, I love the addition of a new difficulty, and I feel like finally getting to play some oldies character with a full upgraded set is satisfying af. Kojûrô feels sooo good to play !!!

Today part of my collection shall be this very random DVD I got from Vinted. I think it contains some clips and a captation of some seiyuu event 🤔 haven't watched it yet but I think it was originaly part of some SB2H special edition on the ps2.

I've been considering purchasing a japanese ps2 in order to play the SB games that aren't available on ps3 but I don't think they're worth the investment so idk
