I was able to get my hands on a complete copy of the BFG Advanced Campaign Rules! Now begins the setup work. I spent way too long tonight making all the system maps since these rules actually care about that in addition to the subsector map. Campaign setting info bellow the cut

Welcome to the Auranbilis subsector of the Aranis sector, out towards the Eastern Fringe.

The subsector has been overrun by chaos and Ork forces in the wake of the Great Rift, and now Space Marine and Eldar forces have begun raiding the area as well.

Once I get the fleet lists built, I'm gonna plop down homeworlds and get to playing the logistics game >:D

Really looking forward to seeing what support vessels make a name for themselves as the campaign gets going

how do the jones boys feel about recent subcore creation developments?

They haven't finished researching High Mechtech yet, so they haven't had any 'recent developments' unless you count the subcore softscanner they've had for a while.

When they do figure out ripscanning, I think Mechi (as the evil twin) will probably be fiendishly delighted at the opportunity for revenge on any raiders who dare try to interrupt his peace and quiet, while Kwahu (as the good twin) would have one or two reservations about killing people in the name of furthering his Mechlord aspirations. He'd still do it, though. He's not that good.

Along the way home from visiting losech I stopped at the Cleveland Public Library, which had this very cool exhibit, an underground tunnel to a second building of the library, AND most crucially the reason for the stop there; three copies of Primitive Breeds, Perfect Dogs. Someday ill get my own physical copy of it, but for now I have a digital copy of it that I made by. Sitting photographing every page for like two hours. I asked the author before even taking this trip if he was okay with that, as there are no more copies being made ever, and he gave me his direct and explicit permission.

Also there were SEVERAL other cool books there, I could spend months in this library reading. Why is it in Cleveland of all places.
