3/11/2024 my first post

helloooo i needed a side hobby thing that my friends didn't know about, so i made this side blog... I don't actually know if they can see this or not. I wanted to make a little online diary for me to talk about my thoughts on where i'm pretty much anonymous. Hiding things from my friends is a bit of a guilty pleasure since I normally end up accidentally info dumping about every hour of my life to them and leaving no room for secrets. For anyone wondering, this is going to be mostly a system blog as well as that's what I (we?) am (are?). I'll eventually make an introduction post maybe if im feeling exxtra daring. but for now, here is what I've done today.

I went to bed at around midnight (I was really tired from not sleeping properly and want to fix my sleep schedule so no naps!!!) and woke up at noon! I normally sleep for only 8 hours like most human beings on earth so i guess i was preettty tired.. I had some funny dreams about friends and hopefully didn't come to any weird conclusions in one of them. I won't disclose that, though, just in case (albeit overbearing and lowkey stalker-ish) find this page and i have to explain my fucking tumblr post to them. Anyways, I made myself brunch... It was a fried egg sandwich with avocado, spinach, and the rest of my tomato.. Because someone else has been using my tomato and I don't know who.. I don't really care that much, there's another tomato. I had some extra avocado on the side, drenched in parmesan. Matt played some rimworld and we ate our brunch as usual and I watched a video about eerie japanese internet history. It's been a recent thing I've been fixated on. It's now 5 pm and we've done nothing but listen to music and play rimworld. I'm now going to take a nap. OH ACTUALLY,, before all of this brunch eating and rimworld playing, Matt helped apply us for a local credit union. Originally it was going to be Kyle's job, but he stopped fronting, and our current gatekeeper got the idea. I'll see tomorrow if we got accepted into it. I hope we did, but I doubt we will with our shitty record of constant unemployment ( we just got our ID) and just overall shitty looking anythings in terms of adulting. If not, we're applying for chase. asides from that, that is genuinely all I've done today. nothing crazy, I'm more excited for the sleepover with friends I should be having on Wednesday. My friends are constantly busy nowadays since they all have jobs, so hanging out like this is always fun. We're supposed to be keeping it a secret from (for anonymity I'll use fake names) Lemon, because he's very whiny and tbh a man-child. He never lets us hang out without him and we accidentally invited him to our ihop date, so we're going without him on wednesday and hoping he forgets about ihop.... You can ssay wwe're evil or mean or bad friends, but if you were his best friend of 6+ years, you'd do this too. what he doesn't know can't hurt him :p so don't tell on me, ok? anyways, goodnight, oyasumi, bon nuit, I'm taking my nap xx

I may (MAY) be unable to post, wether that be for a day or a few days.

You see, I am a teenager, I think I stated that im a minor in my about me so you could guess, unless you thought I was a child. And sometimes things happen with teens when their stuff gets taken away. Im at risk of that happening.

Basically my teacher was stupid and told us something was due at the last minute and I haven't finished it yet so now my gaurdian things I put it off to the last minute which.. is partally true but with fair reason, I was doing it but i was taking alot of long breaks because I thought we had time, so unless i can finish it very soon my phone may be taken away. I TRIED to pull an all nighter and do most of it tonight and while it kinda worked I did less than I wanted to because my school computer decided it wanted to just randomly disconnect from the wifi and forget the password. And I don't remember the password. So I have to do the rest at school, and after school. Luckly, luckly, if I DO get my phone taken away until its done, I'll probably only have it be taken away for the day? It may be longer depending on how long my gaurdians wants to keep it but we'll see

I also have no clue if shes gonna take my tablet away so theres that. I assume she would buy she hasn't said anything about it so theres a chance? Idk.

What matters is is that thats why im alerting yall, why im up so late and why im off schedule again </3

I'm hopeful everything turns out alright, im sure it will being I'm literally like a few things away from finishing it, could of finished it tonight but technology SUCKS. But yeah.

I expect to have my phone be taken for atleast a day? Maybe a few. I don't think it'd be any longer than a week or two, I see no reason for it to last THAT long. And hey, theres a chance I won't get it taken at all if I finish enough of it. Probably won't at school but hey, maybe I'll have some free periods.

Which of your fics you wish had more kudos/comments/bookmarks? Probably Somebody To Love, which is funnily enough also my most recently posted fic because I put so much damn work into it and was pretty proud of myself for making it such a long oneshot. Though I’m sure my next fic will fall into the same category, as it is about a topic that is very dear to me but written for a very small fandom - I don’t want to sound ungrateful though, I’m super happy about every comment or kudo or simply for every single reader in general, so it doesn’t really matter that much

Which of your fics do you feel is overrated? For a while, I definitely felt like Baby I Rule was overrated but looking back at it I really love that fic and I'm grateful for all the attention and support that came from it. I think One Million Words was a little overrated, the plot was great if I may say so myself but my English writing skills at that time were,,,,mediocre at best (which shouldn't be an argument - fics can be beautiful even if you're not fluent in a language or whatever, it's just something that irks me in my own works)

What is the fic that took you the most time to write? Out of all my finished fics, Baby I Rule was the one that took me the longest to write. My posting schedule was pretty dense but a lot of research went into it, and it’s my longest completed fic as of right now, so logically it took the longest time to write. There are multiple unfinished works that will ultimately take longer to write than BIR though, published ones like When It Comes To Art but also unpublished fics that I’m keeping a secret for the time being.

What do you think is the best fic you ever wrote (until today)? It’s hard to decide because I love most of the things I write but I’m also very critical of it all but I’d say Quarter Past Midnight for the immaculate vibes and Midsummer Night Dreaming for the quality - it wasn’t very popular but I think it’s one of the best worded oneshots I’ve written so far (maybe that was because of my injured right hand, I couldn’t type properly and needed forever to write this, more time to think and all that lmao)

What do you think is the worst fic you ever wrote (until today)? That’s also hard to say because I go through phases in which I hate everything I’ve written and feel like it’s not good enough to live up to my own standards. Basically the answer is every fic I’ve posted and later deleted again, I guess?

What is the saddest thing that happened to you related to a fic (may it be success, a draft that erased itself and so on…)? I’ve written fic to compensate many things - my first break up, getting rejected, spending Christmas without my friend that had passed away, and all the insecure moments I deal with. One very distinct memory is from summer 2020 though, when I was sitting on my hotel bed in Krakow and cried so hard because I felt helpless and like my writing was underwhelming not only to me but to most other people as well. I don’t want to say that I struggle a lot and that writing is my outlet for that but I definitely use it to compensate the not so bright moments.

What is/are the comment(s) you received that you can never forget even now (negative and positive)? Thank God I’ve never gotten an actual negative comment and a total of one anon hate ask in my life so far, so there’s nothing there that fazed me too much. I really appreciate constructive and mature criticism but I get over that too, and don’t remember those things anymore (unless they improve my work, of course). I get a lot of amazing comments, sometimes very long and elaborate ones, and sometimes very short ones that make me smile equally as hard. I posted my first Football RPF work (Someone Will Love You) not too long ago though, and someone commented that they’ve never written a comment before - the feeling of my work being worthy of their first ever comment is so unreal that I cannot stop thinking about it. It’s comments like this that stick with me for a long time, and I treasure them dearly.

A fic you’d dream to write even if you know it wouldn’t get much readers/feedback? I have many ideas of which I’m sure not many people would read them, like the Pessitelli Nutcracker AU that I posted and promptly deleted again last Christmas (not because I hated it that much, it just wasn’t finished and I lost my motivation when I saw the lack of response so I’m keeping it in the drafts until next Christmas lmao) or the F1 fic based on The Politician. So there are quite a few fics I’ve dreamt of writing but the trick is that I do write them when I find the motivation to, the amount of feedback be, for the most part, damned

Coming back to the last question, did the fact that a fic wouldn’t get many readers (rare ship/different dynamic and so on) already stopped you from writing it? I haven’t really written many rarepairs before, though I’m getting into it more and more at this point I created a new relationship tag in Men’s Football RPF if that’s an indicator lmao, but the few times I’ve actually written them, I haven’t really bothered too much. I do bask in recognition and praise the way most fic writers do I suppose, but if I want to write something, I just write it. For some fics, it would just feel wrong to write them about different characters than originally intended.

Which of your fics represent you the best? I don’t think you can pin it down to one particular fic. There’s something that represents me in every fic I write, a personal note that I just can’t get around. Sometimes it’s something that just happens subconsciously and I don’t even notice it. But the feelings I describe in the fics are, if only paritally in some cases, always based on feelings I have experienced before, so there’s always a smidge of representation in everything I write. The most personal thing I’ve written might be He Was No Father To Me, however.

What is your main source of ideas? There is no one thing that inspires me. Inspiration comes at the most random times, in the most random situations. It might be when I go for a run or during tennis training, maybe on a boat on Lago di Como, or on a train home from Berlin. I get my ideas from my environment, to give an answer, from the people and the situations, from the vibes and the media that surrounds me. I think that’s the beauty of inspiration, really, that you never know when it might hit - it’s why I take my notebook everywhere, whether I end up needing it or not, but I always have something with me to write my ideas down so I’ll be able to recreate that same feeling later on. 

Is there an author that inspired you? I think it’s almost inevitable to let myself be inspired by other fanfic authors in the way they write and build their worlds, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong about that! As long as inspiration stays just that, it’s an amazing thing to inspire other fic writers and be inspired by them. As for regular authors, I don’t get that much inspiration from them, mainly because I haven’t been reading a lot of modern works that wouldn’t clash with my writing style lately (Kafka and Dostoyevski are great but like. not my style at all yknow) and it might sound weird but my German and my English writing style aren’t quite the same, so reading in German doesn’t influence how I write in English as much as reading in English does. I hope that makes sense somehow skfjks

Is there a fic you wish people to read, because it left a big impression on you? It doesn’t hurt (As long as you are with me) by lunasenzanotte. It’s Tennis RPF and Thierev (let’s like. not discuss the issue with Zverev right now though) so maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s super good and based on the historic background of the Iron Curtain. As someone born and raised in the east of Germany with a family that has first hand experience with the GDR (and escaping it), it feels an awful lot like a personal matter. 

What is your favorite topic to read? And to write? That honestly depends a lot on my current mood. I write a lot of different AUs, like high school or university settings or sports AUs, so that’s what I enjoy reading as well. Nevertheless, there are quite a lot of topics I’m open to read about to expand my own horizon, so my favorite things switch from time to time. As for writing, there’s not one favorite topic in particular, I really just write every idea that comes to my mind that seems worth writing about. I do write an awful lot of sports and university AUs though

What motivated you to make your works public? I don’t think I had any particular motivation when I first started doing that. My mom keeps saying I should write a book but that’s not really my motivation. I guess I just wanted to share my idea with people who are equally as passionate about the characters that I write about, first and foremost. When I picked writing back up after a break of 2 years I think, it was when I properly entered the F1 fandom and wanted to be part of the chaos. The first F1 RPF I’ve published has since been deleted but they were simply an attempt of having fun and allowing others to share the sentiment.

A word you’d like to say to people who pass by / who follow you / who read your fics? Thank you. For every kudo, comment, every number you add to the hit count, even if you only clicked onto my work by accident. I really, really appreciate every single interaction, and it’s such a rewarding hobby when people like you all deem what I do worthy of your attention. It can be a bit stressful or unsatisfying sometimes but whenever someone sends me an excited message or even just a few words in a comment, or when I get an email telling me that a person has left kudos on 8 different works of mine, all the hard work and pain pays off. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for accompanying me on this journey, no matter if it’s just for a second or for the past three years, I love you all a lot.
