Prison Breakers AU WIP fic (?)

COME GET YALLS SHIT. I hope yall enjoy what ive got here, i'll be exploring and explaining the full custom lore I've got going alongside some of the crazy ideas ive got for these bastards. It's written in a way that's meant to allow folks who've never read the original comics fully to know what's happening, since it's different enough and such. Please remember that this IS a Zonourge fic, it's just. Kinda a slow burn and planned pining and shit. Standard "oh i totally dont care about him i just did this because it was practical!" from Scourge before he has a breakdown over some events. The usual. It features one of my fav headcanons which is that while severely emotionally repressed, Scourge cries way easier and way harder than Sonic. Like, gross-cries, because if he mirrors him then I think that'd make sense.

So yeah. Also be aware that there's like, one part that's a bit darker in implications than the rest, even with the whole thing having like. torture and abuse having happened. just highlight the black blocked text and you can read it if you'd like to.

Also since Zonic has like. No proper lore my Zonic here has a whole story and planned powers and shit, be on the lookout for that if it interests you!

The more I think about a Tiger X Fire / Scourge and Bone redemption AU mashup, the more I actually want that to be a thing.

I still don't know how it would all get started assuming that Tigerclaw/star is a good guy in this AU, but I feel like you could have some good drama as Tigerstar and Scourge are now both having to face the ghosts of their pasts, aka each other.

I also feel like you could have some stuff coming from a dynamic between Tigerstar and Bone.

Bone would have a very deep resentment towards Tigerstar for the time he hurt his tiny man, and considering his size, I can imagine him being someone that even this absolute tank of a brown tabby would be slightly afraid of.

I don’t really have all of the lore for this AU fleshed out, but this is lowkey a boost for me to try to work on it more and make it the best that it can be!

Yes, Manic and Scourge are the same hedgehog in this, Scourge being a persona Manic adopts after a fall from what grace he had. Granted I’m not sure if it’s out of anger or jealousy over Sonic’s reputation or perhaps both, but yea Manic gets whatever the opposite of a redemption arc is called.

As I said things are a little blurry BUT! My ask box is always open : ) (apologies for Anons being disabled, but I’ve seen people use that feature to bully some of my moots and if anyone tries that shit I wanna be able to block em pronto. In Backs To The Wall, was there ever a ring? Did it get taken care of early or did it never exist?

Ooh, lovely question, thank you! So usually when I write a "ring-what-ring" au, I don't address it at all, it's just not there. In BTTW, however, the Ring did exist, but was destroyed by Isildur! I enjoy the Jackson films immensely, but Isildur got done dirty, haha! This was my little redemption for him, small as it is! Now, obviously this makes no sense in the larger story, so don't look at it too hard, but for the sake of my little fic, it was the best way for me to wrangle certain plot points! I actually reference it briefly in chapter 24:

Bilbo had begun to read the tale of Isildur, the great king of Gondor who had defeated the evil Sauron and destroyed the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, and found himself deeply engrossed in it. He’d read many versions of this story, as there seemed to be a lot of different accounts of it. His favourite re-telling had been straight from the mouth of Lord Elrond when they had stayed in Rivendell, who had actually been with the hero, Isildur, when he cast the evil creation away into the burning heart of the volcano, and freed all the people of Middle Earth from the scourge of the Dark One. This version was a mannish one, which he’d never before read, and it was interesting to see all the differences, as well as all the similarities. He was just reaching the critical moment when Isildur felt the evil call of the One Ring (something played down quite a bit in this version) and resisted its lure, when from the corner of his eye he saw someone take up the other armchair beside him. Bilbo didn’t look up, caught as he was in the grip of the story, and continued all the way to the end, when the very lands of Mordor collapsed and all of the armies of Sauron were forced to flee to the furthest corners of the realm.

Headcanon day, eh? Alright!

-pulls out headcanon list for disorder AU-

here we go!

I feel like Nazo wouldn’t be just a god of order. While that’s his main role, he has a role of a god of contracts, or anything related to law and order, as they all kind of relate to one another!

Basing off my fanart, Amy eventually meets Nazo and is able to slightly persuade him into taking some time to learn about the world. Take some time to learn about how chaos works in both good and bad ways, and maybe find a way to bring balance! This in turn lets him meet a wide range of characters that teach him the good and the bad of chaos. This can lead to a few alternate scenarios!

If Nazo does end up getting beat, the stones of order would end up falling towards the earth’s surface. One would end up in eggman’s grasp, and one would be entrusted to Amy. After all, she helped him see the good in this world, the least that could be done is that Amy is given something in return for her kindness towards him. It probably takes the last bit of Nazo’s life force to give it to her, but Amy would be touched by the action and keep it safe from Dr. Eggman’s grasp, or at least until Nazo returns.

On a similar note, if Nazo wins, he’d probably take Amy, place her in his world, and would probably keep her safe from any other outside threats. Same notion as before, she was so kind to him, why let that kindness be snuffed out with the rest of the dimension?

Unlike the Nazo in Nazo unleashed, this one is more charming and less aggressive. Now, if push comes to shove, he’ll absolutely kick ass. If not? He’ll use his intellect, charm, and wits to get what he wants. This has led to some very tense encounters on his end, but it’s worth it to him.

Scourge would get very insecure about him being back in his “normal” state. So much so he tries dying his quills green again, but with no luck. As mobian quills don’t dye as easily as human hair.

Sonic ends up getting kicked halfway across the world by Nazo when they first fight, leading to sonic having a bad bruise scar on his waist area.

Shadow’s inhibitor rings got cracked while in his chaos form, so now every time he uses his chaos powers, the ring cracks glow green every time he uses them!

The only reason Silver’s dimension was considered to be in danger was because there were multiple stones of order on there, as a gift from travelers long ago, and nazo will fight tooth and nail to get them. So he ends up taking them to mobius, where he has a better chance at getting assistance.

Silver’s telekinesis becomes a sea foam green color after the big fight, which scares him at first, but the blaze in his dimension finds it cute!

honestly i didnt plan for nazo to have any sort of "redemption arc" or even "taming arc" as i'd like to call it lol, but..........knowing MY ass? that just may happen. ngl. im the redemption arc guy thats my thing now i guess

amy is legit such a good character to use for villain redemption arcs ive found.. it just makes sense yknow? so i think i agree w u there

Okay okay okay so I don't often talk about Warrior Cats but I just had an AU idea centred around LongFire that i'm just gonna infordump here

The Prophecies Begin starts the same, where Longtail attacks Rusty and is initially hostile toward him. He saves him from the river as usual but instead of their dynamic being ignored they start having a mutual respect for one another after Tigerclaw is exiled, and Fireheart actually sees that Longtail is loyal to the clan instead of Tigerclaw.

Swiftpaw dies, and Fireheart comforts Longtail, something we don't really see onscreen in the books. It's then that they actually start being friends, and Longtail's predjudice against kittypets gets resolved, and Firestar even takes him to visit Princess at one point, and Longtail becomes friendly with Cloudtail. So it's not like a "oh he still is a kittypet xenophobe but Firestar is his only exception" kinda thing.

Then the battle with Scourge happens, Whitestorm dies, and instead of Graystripe being deputy (i still don't think he deserved it >:/) Firestar makes Longtail deputy; I think this would have worked narritavely really well in the books, as it shows development in Longtail's character and because Warriors isn't big on redemptions (they only said on Longtail 'oh he was good all along just misunderstood lolsies') so I want Longboi to become a good person D:

Then Longtail gets blinded by the rabbit as normal, but he still remains deputy and finds a way to live blind like Jayfeather did, because fuck abelism in these books and the fact that Longtail had to retire early because of his disability!!

Then this is up for your interpretation, but I like to think Firestar and Longtail fall for each other in the end,, idk i love me a good well written rivals to lovers :D and Sandstorm is the surrogate mother and Squilf and Leaf happen (i just think in this timeline it would be cute for Longfire to happen, but in the current timeline when they were still kinda on ehhh terms? yeah, not cute!)

And Longtail doesn't get crushed by a tree, he lives until the Great Battle when Firestar dies, and he becomes Longstar with Squirrelflight as deputy! :D which tbh, he would make a much better leader than Brambleshit will ever be

don't flame me for this idea, it's just one of my favorite AU's completely built off of canon complaint and missed potential for Longtail's character and his relationship with Firestar

sonic, eclipse, shadow, rouge and omega do end up living together, even though sonic doesnt stay put often. shadow needs help getting around, and obviously the ptsd is so bad he needs almost constant supervision, which he hates. rouge and sonic are technically his caregivers.

eclipses redemption and doom!shadow are now separate aus, simply because i couldnt make them connect in a way that made sense. eclipse is redeemed in the doom!shadow au, but its up to interpretation how he got redeemed.

(also eclipse and scourge start dating in both aus)

as of right now its just called "eclipses redemption" and "doom!shadow". i really need to work on names for them

Are there any villains that you think should have gotten a redemption arc, even if it’s not in your rewrite? I like what you did with Iceheart/Scourge!

Personally I like AUs where Hawkfrost is redeemed, defecting from the DF in the great battle with Ivypool, and dying a second time - or perhaps surviving to help with Ashfur? Would make for some interesting interactions with Bristlefrost. I hate how he’s just.. Tigerstar 2.0.

Also, Snowtuft. What is up with that guy?

I already gave Hawkfrost and Iceheart redemption in my own rewrite because I feel so strongly about the two of them. Especially Hawkfrost I've gone OFF about that boy, and how important I think his revamps are to the themes of my rewrite

But my ultimate The One Who Got Away is Darktail... I really, strongly hate the canon Kin. I hate how AVoS has a bizarre plot about "Kids These Days," I hate how it summons Evil Barbaric Hordes to kill and murderify and throw Grandma in the woods because they don't have The Code, I hate how the arc uses 'questioning StarClan' as a shorthand for wickedness...

If you left it up to me, I would gut the whole thing. I don't like how canon has so many Evil Foreigners and regular Clanborn villains are the exception, not the rule. Canon says, "Anyway Darktail was born evil" and I want to punch that harder than I punched it when I revamped Brokenstar, lmao.

Some doodles i did on a solo Aggie. First two are Prison Breakers Fiona and Scourge since i gave them a very specific dynamic (and they end up being buddies still after the prison breakout), and also Fiona ends up as a Team Dark member later (hence the first one)

the last one is some redemption arc au or something where Sonic ends up trying to introduce Scourge to reading books 'n shit and Scourge gives zero shits about the classics, HOWEVER.... Sonic remembers a certain series he read when he was younger....

Yes. Yes it's Warriors. Yes. Yes Scourge gets attached to Scourge immediately. the art documents the aftermath of him reading the Bloodclan battle.

i think my official stance on scourge redemption arcs is that they work about as well as sonic villain arcs. meaning not very fucking well at all unless you want to say they got mind controlled or brainwashed or something along those lines. if you are setting to create an au/story where either of these happens youd have to come up with a damn good reason to justify it yknow. its equivalent

1. An AU where Tigerstar and Fireheart take Breezepelt in as their son.

2. Tiger X Fire AU and Scourge and/or Bone redemption AU crossover.

I don't know how exactly either of these things would go down, but I think they're nice ideas at least!

I've been going back and forth on that, though! And I'm... conflicted. Part of me says he does eventually get a proper warrior name, but the other part of me says that Scourge is very... Proud? I don't know if he'd just allow someone give him a name just to make him 'official' or fully assimilated into Thunderclan.

If anything, I think the likely conclusion is that Scourge might rename himself, but nothing that really fits into the known traditions. Ever the rebel, you see.
