Guide: Scramblecoin for beginners ♟️*ੈ
Hey fellow dreamers! I've been watching multiple people play scramblecoin on streams etc. and a lot of people seem to find it quite difficult. Therefore, I'm writing this small guide on how to play and give out a few tips.
Tumblr media
♟️ How to play
Talk to an opponent and select play scramblecoins.
Take a second to look at the board.
Select the empty squares in the bottom left corner to choose your figures.
Highlight and select the five figures you wish to use (deselecting one if you change your mind before you hit okay.)
Select figures based on their characteristics, choose wisely.
Take your first turn:
⟡ Choose your first figure, based on play conditions and entry point, place them on the board. Figures cannot be placed on a coin, or on an obstacle. ⟡ Move your figure based on their movement ability. ⟡ Extra powers happen automatically. ⟡ Try to collect as many coins as possible.
Take your second turn:
⟡ Choose your second figure, based on play conditions and entry point, place them on the board. ⟡ Move both of your figures based on their movement ability, in any order.
Take your third turn:
⟡ Following the same rules for the second turn.
Take your fourth turn:
⟡ Check for spawn points of your two gold coin piles. ⟡ Choose to place a new figure by replacing one of your current figures (unless you have less than three on the board, in which case you would place a new figure as in step two) or skip this step. ⟡ Move all of your figurines.
Take your fifth turn:
⟡ The same as your fourth turn. This is your last turn. ⟡ Opponent takes their last turn, in which only a single gold coin spawns for them. ⟡ Game ends, coin totals are checked with the highest coin total winning.
♟️ Tips for beginners
Goofy is the easiest to beat:
⟡ Play against Goofy, every day. He is the easiest to beat based on his figurine selection being all Goofys.
Play when asked to play:
⟡ Play opponents who want to play you. Even if you lose, you still get double the points for progress.
Level your hourglass:
⟡ Level up your hourglass staff and collect parts to craft scramblecoin figures in the special section of your timebending table craft station.
Just play for points:
⟡ Keep earning points, you eventually will unlock more powerful figures and have a better chance at winning. Since the update gave difficulty levels to opponents, you should be able to play against any level one opponent and beat them without much difficulty. Level one opponents will make many mistakes and generally collect a below average number of coins per turn. Play as many of them as you can each day to increase your standing on the board.
♟️ Your goal and tips
Collect coins:
⟡ Your goal every turn is to collect as many coins as possible. You can’t control the random spawns of the coins, but you can try to plan as you play.
Watch the movement:
⟡ When playing a piece, try to get maximum coins, but also have an idea of where you want to move them on their next turn. If you can end their movement in a way that leaves them with options to get coins on their next turn, they will be that much more useful to you. Getting three coins on the first turn and none on the second with a piece is less useful than getting two coins two turns in a row. That said, things will change significantly based upon the computer player's turn. But, it does help to practice thinking ahead.
Playing certain figurines:
⟡ You never want to play Goofy before your fourth turn, if you can help it. And then, only play him if you cannot collect both of your gold coins with your other figures. Gold coins are key to winning this game, especially with a basic team like this.
Obstacles:
⟡ Finally, consider obstacles when placing pieces. Fences, rocks, ponds, and even the edge of the board will all hamper your movement. The more options your piece has for future moves, the more likely they will be able to score you more points.
I hope this guide was helpful for you in any way !
And remember, this is a cosy game, no need to stress over it
Happy dreaming 🏰✨

Thoughts that will haunt me until the updates drop:
What is Mulan's realm going to be?
Is Tiana going to going to have her own restaurant (I hope so) or work with Remy in some kind of business partnership?
Is the Monster Inc update and the possible Daisy going to a month apart?
Is the Forgotten going to have their own name and identity in the upcoming update?
Imagine getting to customise the exterior and interior of the castle and its many many rooms.
Please stop stalking me to play Scramblecoin.
I need my Ruler to have emotes and be able to play instruments while sitting down (for those days where I want to chill)
Frozen and White Snake crossover now lives in my mind and have given me ideas for Rose that are very self indulgent

DDLV Friendship Headcanons: Jim Hawkins & Jack Sparrow ---------------------------------------
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Upon hearing that a supposed Legendary Pirate Captain was also living in the Valley, Jim got really curious… The last time he met some pirates, they destroyed his family inn, lied to him, fought him, and tried to have him killed!... So it's safe to say he has a bit of a rough relationship with them… (Especially considering that he eventually joins the Royal Navy after the events of the first film…)
But on the other hand, the last time he met a pirate captain, he also taught him pretty much everything he needed to know to graduate from the academy, so he can’t help but be curious to see if this captain is similar…
… Their first meeting kind of goes horribly wrong…
Both of them heavily underestimate the other at first, and this leads to a drunken Jack Sparrow attempting to ‘borrow’ all of Jim’s money, and an unaware Jim almost lets him…
(The Player probably gets a quest to try and get the two to get along after this REALLY rough introduction)
But after the Player helps Jim calm down, and advises Jack to not try and rob Jim (or anyone else for that matter…), they actually get along fairly well…
I won’t go as far as calling them ‘friends’… more like acquaintances. They don’t ever hang out or do activities together, but they do respect each other quite a lot…
Jack starts to see Jim for what he really is… Daring, Rebellious, and quite Bright for his age… But also very impulsive… he kind of reminds Jack of himself when he was younger… Only difference is Jim is playing for the other team…
This leads Jack into two different scenarios:
1. Jack always winds up Jim: Whether it’s something small like calling Jim ‘boy’ or ‘kid’, or as big as mocking him, Jack will always be provoking Jim. This usually leads to the two engaging in one of their ‘tests’.
Scramblecoin, Mining, Fishing and even the occasional spar are the most common ways they try and show up the other. (Although, the Player REFUSES to let the two of them do a sword fight, unless someone else is watching)
2. Jack outright ignores Jim: If they are not bickering like children, or clashing with one another, then they usually just go their separate ways.
This doesn’t really affect Jack at all, but he knows it gets to Jim ever so slightly, tugging at his insecurities of being undermined and being seen as just a ‘delinquent’.
It’s a really petty tactic, but Jim has also learnt to pick his fights a little better, and usually ignores him too… but with all of the tests they have had, Jim does feel like he is not only improving his skills, but is also getting a much better understanding at how to deal with pirates.
He can also start to see why ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ is constantly called a legendary pirate now… as much as he hates to admit it… because goddamn is his constant digs irritating…
There is never any real malice or hostility between the two, it’s more of a rivalry that they have with each other… And as long as Jack doesn’t try and rob Jim again, they should both be alright…
Overall:
6 / 10

Just some random stuff that happened at the dark castle! Part 3/???
*Olaf staring into space*
Charlie: How in the world does he even have eyes?
The Forgotten: I don't know, I tried to ask Elsa but I chickened out. I mean you can't go up to her and ask how the hell she was able to conjure up human life like eyes!
--------------------------------------------------
In the laboratory
The Forgotten: With this my collection will be completed!
*Puts the colored potatoes in the shelf*
Charlie: All that work and waste of a chance of good food.
--------------------------------------------------
The Forgotten: I HATE THIS GAME!!*Throws chair across the table, vines break the table*
Charlie: Admit it I know how to play Scramblecoin better than you.
The Forgotten: SHUT UP YOU FOOL! AUGH!! Again, I'll win this time I'm sure of it!
Charlie: *sigh* Alright but please stop breaking the furniture.
--------------------------------------------------
Jafar: This place is....
Ursula: Very untidy for a evil lair, Angelfish I expected you to be more organized.
The Forgotten huddled in the corner: It looks fine to me, I know where my stuff are. Like my potato collection, my diary, and the corner where I usually just stare off into space.
Jafar: I think I might need to consult the wizard Merlin.
Ursula: Hate to say it, but you have a point.
Charlie: There is nothing wrong with the castle, unless you count the many ruined chairs and tables during Scramblecoin...

I think anyone who’s wanted to max out their levels on Scramblecoin have done so already, but I was today years old when I realized you can rotate the board with your right mouse button.

Uuummm...

I haven't played Scramblecoin with Simba yet, and that wasn't one of my Mist Duties.
So there's an interesting glitch that kinda makes up for the fact that you almost can't beat anyone at Scramblecoin.
Then again I also keep randomly get 'Duties Completed' notices at odd moments that were not on the list, so it's not exclusively a Scramblecoin thing.
A random thought, thinking like lore wise, time is super wonky, so these are future tasks you complete that get set back in time. At least it's a funny way to interpret this glitch.
