His role was different. She never planned to welcome auditions for it, not until a pair of seafoam green eyes and a charming smile convinced her to welcome his walk-on. 
He didn’t rehearse lines; they came naturally, quickly rolling off the tongue. Hesiod would be disgraced. For the poetry and carefully crafted sentiments he’d whisper in her ear as he dug into her in search of the finest treasure dripping in honey and liquid gold. 
They weren’t lovers. 
“You feel so good, mama.” Honeyed words, sweet and savory, whispered against the shell of her ear as he relished in the pleasurable pain of her nails scraping his skin. He groaned softly. She whimpered quietly. 
He’d douse her in adoration and gentle care when the night ended—washing her body slowly, massaging her trembling thighs, and wrapping his arms around her while she slept peacefully. “Goodnight, baby,” he whispered, welcoming her back against his chest.
