Vox has a special place in his heart for pre-code gangster movies like Scarface and Little Caesar. They're partially for the way he styles and sees himself - a relatively recent arrival who has risen through the ranks through a combination of ruthlessness and cunning, but with a limited kind of loyalty that embraces a tiny circle of people he's truly loyal to (the other Vee's).

The fact that Adam was the first human soul to enter Heaven implies that Abel, the first human to die, ended up going to Hell. Realizing that his son, someone who he would have always thought of as innocent, someone who died because he was apparently favored by Heaven, didn't even get in, probably fucked with him and his perception of sin permanently.

   He's doing it again, where he seems to struggle to find his words when he has something important to say. For the life of her she can't think of what would be so hard to approach at this point with the two of them. While they haven't gotten that far when it comes to intimacy, she always figured he was able to approach it easily if he wanted to. Especially since he sure as hell enjoyed making bold moves and statements towards her that often caught her off guard. So it couldn't be that, but what was it? 

   She watches him closely, hoping that she can pick up some sort of clue on what he's trying to get at. It's not until he moves to get down on one knee that she absolutely freezes in place. He's kidding right? This is a joke. He's probably about to say something funny and give her some sort of scare she bets. No.. that doesn't seem right, not for him. At least.. she hopes not. 

It's amazing how much something can actually effect you once you've heard it out loud. 

   She's absolutely stunned honestly, it's.. not an easy question to answer, not for her anyway. Self doubt is a nasty thing, but she pushes it down, trying to focus on him, on his question. A question she didn't expect, nor did she really think they'd get this far in the relationship. Eventually she lets out a breath that she didn't know she was holding, taking his hands and pulling him up to his feet.

" You.. know this is a big thing right? That's probably a dumb question... "

   It's hard not to fumble over herself, this is far more overwhelming than a simple ' I love you ', there was more at play here. Changes would take part, maybe not so much for him, but she knew for her. She hadn't forgotten what Velvet said, and she knows damn well she's not going to hear the end of it from her own brother. 

However ... 

" Remember when I said to you that I'm yours if you'll have me? That hasn't changed. I've already long made my choice when I first got with you, and not a day goes by where I ever consider changing my mind. "

   There's silence as she brushes her thumbs over his hands, staring down at them for a moment, and finally, finally, a smile crosses her face. One that stays instead of fading as quickly as it shows. Standing on her toes, she pulls him down enough to press her forehead against his, letting out a soft hum.

" Of course I will, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you too. No matter what it costs me. I love you, more than I can put into words. I hope you know that, Veneer. "

"Trouble in paradise?" Haniel asks, returning her attention back to the Seraphim.

It's sort of based off a lot of different factors - but just to use one example, Classic Sonic (who you'd think would be relatively weaker than his older counterparts) was strong enough to break a gigantic chain which was able to tether Little Planet (an object big and dense enough to have its own gravitational pull) to the Earth/Mobius in a single shot.

The television demon acts as if he hasn't just been dismissed by the hedgehog, retrieving a pair of rocks glasses as he prepares brown liquor on ice with a deft hand that exhibits experience. But in his time here he had mastered two skills: identifying potential and seeing through bullshit - and it was obvious Scourge was full of both.

"You're being too quick to turn down what I'm offering. Voxtek is a brand and that brand is perfection. We find the best and make them even better - and that's exactly why we think you would make for a perfect addition." Vox offers Scourge his drink as he takes a seat and swirls around his own, ice making clinking sounds against the glass as he looks down to appreciate the rich color.

"It's a mutual benefit kind of deal. We get to associate with your image as a kind of... mascot with attitude, a bad boy who can sell truckloads of merchandise, while you get power...." Vox looks up from his drink with a grin. He knows the type he's dealing with all too well.
