After a dig in the shoebox I didn't find a lot of stuff that would benefit from starting indoors (morning glories, sunflowers, zinnias, nasturtiums- all are best to be sown directly where you want them rather than under lights) but I did find these- they all might be too old to get much viability but would be worth an attempt. Once the nannyberry and wahoo stratification packets are dealt with, then these seed packets will be next under the lights.

Stunning Botanical Seed Packaging for Piccolo
We’ve always loved good typography, and the way a letter’s shape and form can convey meaning. A particular typeface can change the tone, meaning, and sophistication of a word dramatically. That’s what makes this Botanical Alphabet seed collection so cool. Created by The6th Creative Studio, this collection of botanical seeds ranges the entire alphabet, from Aster to Zinnia, and everything in…

I was making some seed packets, and I've almost run out of glue in my glue stick - so I thought, can I make a natural glue? This website has some great recipes to try, and several look quite easy! I'll let you know how it goes - I plan on trying the milk glue, flaxseed glue, and egg white first because I have all of those in the house.

Robbing graves but for, like, scientific purposes.
Beginning / Previous / Next
Micah: Naomi? Don’t tell me you locked yourself out.
Oh, hi, Zelmira. If you’re after that Death Flower, I don’t have it. Honestly, I’m not even sure where to look.
Zelmira: That’s okay. I’m bored, so I thought we could find one together. Seems like you might need to get out of here.
Micah: This guy? He’s been pretty friendly so far.
Zelmira: Specters are mercurial. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather be far away when its mood changes.
-
Micah: Really? A graveyard?
Zelmira: Well, it is called a Death Flower. The living leave offerings to the dead, and sometimes the dead drop them in return.
Micah: Doesn’t it seem a little disrespectful?
Zelmira: Not at all. You may have noticed our relationship to death is different here. Spirits, specters, ghosts — whatever you want to call them — are a daily part of life. A cemetery isn’t so much a place of mourning. It’s a place for our communities to come together as one.
Micah: No Death Flowers yet. Just graves. That we’re blithely walking over. Sorry, it might take me a minute to process this.
Zelmira: I forget how strange we can seem to outsiders. We don’t get many. [resigned sigh] This was probably a long shot.
Micah: Wait! What’s this?
Zelmira: Good eye, newbie.
