Stitch Patterns 1/ My favorite basic is seed stitch. If you are a thrower, you likely hate it. It has tons of texture, showcases yarn beautifully, and is flat, like garter. It tends to spread, so always block it! I’m doing a seed stitch swatch using some yarn my mum got in bulk. I’m taking the opportunity of knitting it as a chance to go through patterns and find something that isn’t intimidating me. I don’t want to be so scared of different patterns and knit swatches and scarves forever.

In other news, I asked my dad to take me to Yarnarama for my birthday (after which he promptly complained...) but now my mum is offering to bring me to her home Friday, and go to the yarn store near her and Yarnarama on the day after. I don’t think my dad’s going to be happy I agreed.
