How different is illisione from alayonte? They have the nobility too but culturally, politically and geographically (and the weather!) how different/similar are they?

the best cultural comparison i can think of is if alayonte is a victorian society with little social mobility and strict adherence to tradition, illisione is in their roaring 20s where the nouveau riche are gaining influence, and society is becoming more liberal and less concerned with centuries old traditions.

politically, alayonte is fairly conservative as a whole with a largely centralized and stable government, with the power being divided equally among the monarch and the electors. illisione is more liberal with such a decentralized government, that it’s little more than a collection of states who swore a tentative fealty to their monarch. the dukes as a collective hold far more power than the monarch, and even then, the dukes don’t hold equal power either. the whole kingdom is held together by a careful balancing act.

which leads me into the nobility, who all operate under a sort of bastard feudalism, hence why the monarch’s power is so jeopardized. barons, viscounts, and counts all answer to marquesses, who in turn answer to one of the dukes. compare this to alayonte, where all nobles, save for barons, viscounts, and counts, serve directly under the monarch.

geographically, alayonte is mostly comprised of farmlands, plains, and rolling hills, except for the north which is mountainous. it has a humid continental climate (cold winters, hot summers). it borders the holy empire of selearn to the north with the mountain range acting as a natural border, the sea to the west, the empire of sylvatore the east, and illisione to the south. illisione has similar topography, farmlands, rolling hills, and maquis shrubland, with a mediterranean climate. it borders sylvatore to the east, and alayonte to the north, and sea along the south and west.

Can we get some details about the Alayonte royal family (i.e. who's the ruling king and queen/crown prince/other royal children, and what their personalities are like). And if i remember correctly Eleonora married the crown prince?

Ask and ye shall receive ^^. And correct, Eleonora married Kunibert in 498.

The current king is Siegfried I (b. 445) who has been reigning since 485 when his father got sick. 

With his first wife, Isabella of Märgengrim, he had four children (Kunibert, Volker, Sören, Anneliese), and she passed away in 492 from illness.

Currently married to Margaret of Selearn, a princess and daughter of the late Emperor George I. They have a relationship more akin to friends than that of husband/wife.

Kunibert, Crown Prince (b. 479) is a quiet and hardworking person who takes his position and its duties very seriously.

Despite his traditional and conservative upbringing, he holds a lot of liberal and unconventional beliefs.

His marriage is an arranged one, but he and Eleonora are actually really good friends and get along well. They aren’t in love, but they love each other. They have two children; Aloisa (b. 500) and Ulrich (b. 503).

Volker, Second Prince (b. 482) is unlike his older brother, and is a laid-back and cheerful fellow who is in the midst of a military training, and quite enthusiastic about it

Like his brother, he is quite liberal, even more so than him, and his carefree ways have led to some scandalous gossip, though he cares little for it.

He is engaged to Adelina of Allereier, sister of a count palatine, and they’ve been engaged since 490. They’re supposed to marry in 503.

Sören, Third Prince (b. 487) is a mix of his brothers, earnest in his work, but not uptight, cheerful, but not overly so, and much prefers books and studying to politics and the military.

He falls more in line with the traditional conservatism of the kingdom, but is less stringent of them.

He dreams of travelling the continent one day to see all the different cultures, to try different foods, and to learn as much as he can.

Anneliese, Princess Royal (b. 489) is the only daughter and the wild child of the family. She’s a bit reckless, impulsive, hot-headed, and sticks to her convictions, even if it’s not the smartest thing to do.

Like her siblings, she’s liberal, but more so because she despises the restrictions of her position, and she wants the freedom to choose her own path.

Surprisingly, she’s not engaged, though the court is looking for a match for her, she and Prince Sergio of Illisione are quite friendly with each other. The king disapproves though because the young prince is only in Alayonte for asylum.
