feeling for the person in this fb support group whos fighting for their life in the comments of their 'im clean from weed!' post bc someone saying they don't fuck w weed anymore = taking away the rights of potheads apparently. it's not a sobriety group it's a general thing for ppl to celebrate milestones (leaving shitty relationships, battling mental illness, completing art projects, getting sober, etc etc) but the general idea is that ppl are either supportive or stfu+scroll ... it's people who post about overcoming hard drugs or fixing their relationship w food/EDs who don't get any of the usual ableism you expect when those topics come up online. but this weed post got a bunch of laugh reacts and derision and when the OP+supporters were like 'hey can you not post about loving weed on the post about someone giving up weed' it was sooooo much pushback.
