“Hellohello, dear viewers and vieweresses at home! This is ‘Naglfar weapon styles’, brought by your own fan-favourite (poll yet to be held) host Siùsaidh Rìona! Here I present our honoured co-host, direct through direct-dial, my dear colleague Caireall!“ “Always a pleasure to not perceive your grotesque visage in my peripheral vision.“ He’s saying he’s happy to be here! “By the way, these speakers seem to be broken, I keep hearing that screeching that resembles your voice.“ Now he’s just being mean. “I initially volunteered because you mentioned covering my sister as well. In any case, glad to be here Susan.“ Teeth-gritting.
“Speaking of your sister, let’s make use of the moment and speak about you. Your staff-techniques are truly deadly and I might’ve not known about half the things I could do with my spear’s blunt end!“ “Ahyes, you should know these techniques are rather confidential. But you should know, that wooden weapons are ideal to channel mana through them, though such mortal cases it’s more common to refer to this as ‘Ki’ to my knowledge. Of course, an undertrained dog like you wouldn’t even know how to handle a mere stick.” “That is very interesting indeed, metal is said to have a disruptive effect, but can still be enchanted given the right formulas, this is true. This is why spellswords of our country aren’t wearing larger shields as well, but obviously, metal is still very susceptible to lightning. You don’t have to tell me the basics though. More importantly, we’re getting off-track here.” “As intended.” “You know what?“ “Screw you too.” “...yeah, what you said.”
“Speaking about my precious sister...“ “Yes, she’s using an ‘Oodachi’, you both keep saying. Is there anything to mention about it?“ “She wields her sword elegantly, flowing like water, slicing like wind, her form of such grace...“ EHEM. “As you were saying, it’s basically a great sword, forged using a certain technique, making the blade sharper than anything but also more fragile than other weapons. But seeing how delicate she is, how is she able to lift it?“ “It’s her ability, as we both control water as an element.“ “Exactly! So, dear viewers, abilities go deeper than magic, as such, Niamh can coat her sword in water to wield it and ice to strenghten it. Water seems to include the ‘flow of battle’, an advanced skill only few are able to grasp within their lifetime, she’s even able to disrupt the flow by adding her own waves, she keeps claiming... is that true?“ “...of course, this as well is highly confidential but yes. Even you could notice while fighting her I assume. Her blade can instantly change directions mid-swing, despite its weight, this is due to pulses she sends out. In a sense, she’s not directly wielding the sword herself, making her style even more dangerous. I wish you wouldn’t make me barge in, but it beats hearing your lustful voice moan over her. I can basically hear how you fantasise over her chest.“ “I... WE... WHAT. I didn’t...” Well, maybe a little bit...
“Ah, this is stupid, let’s cover one last person and call it a day.“ “To be fair, how about your sister?“ “Helen? She’s one of our few casters, also very proficient with curses, there isn’t much I can say, except it hurts like hell.“ “You must have seen the dolls she carries. Just a strand of hair or a toenail, and she would have inhibited control over your body. That and more, these are cursed arts that are merely mentioned as a side-note in really old tomes. Where did she learn about this? Or is it because...“ “She once mentioned to have found ‘something really sweet’ inside her library at home. Sadly, the place burned down shortly after, so there’s probably no trace of it left. Her curses are dangerously potent and could even bring the strongest foes to their knees. I have yet to see a weakness, except that she’s pretty frail. She’s always been a sickly child. Though if there’s a weakened enemy, she’s been seen to possess it at times too.“ “...I know, she’s my favourite in our group. Right after my own sister of course.“ *Shiver* “Don’t remind me.”
“...there is... actually one other person I’m interested in.“ “Oh, are you saying it’s me? Oh, you’ve never been so charming~ ♥“ “Of course not, you overrated mutt, it’s the chicken. The one who claims to be a goddess. She pretends to be frail, but is actually wicked sick, what’s her deal?“ “Her kicks are dangerously strong. She must’ve practiced taking off a lot, sadly, she doesn’t seem to be able to fly too well.“ “Not because of her unnecessarily ostentatious attire?“ “No, you see, birds are less susceptible to mammal’s genes, so their outcome is terrifyingly random. They might look like humans to full-grown harpies from what I’ve heard, anything inbetween. Their society doesn’t treat those who can’t fly lightly I hear. Especially her, with neither arms nor claws for legs.“ “She’s basically a cripple then? Heh, who would’ve known for such a fake cockalorum goddess.“ “I wouldn’t quite say so, she’s proven that she can handle herself just fine. Not only do her kicks hurt alot, she also applies... some sortsa buffs. Like enemies are going easy on you. I can’t quite explain it. Though the heavier the equip, the less she can fly of course. It doesn’t look like she’d need it though.“
“That’s a worthy end I’d assume. If you’d excuse me, I’ll need to wash my ears after this.“ TOOOT-TOOOT-TOOOT.

“...did he just hang up on me? Well, he hasn’t even barely insulted me as much as last time. Well, at least he’s gone. Thanks for your attention, I hope to see you again soon! I have yet to come up with a topic for next time, but you’re free to send in requests or ideas!”

Volunteer at the Philadelphia Film Festival
The 26th Philadelphia Film Festival is fast approaching, and we are looking for volunteers! Whether your students are studying film or just looking to do some good while meeting new people, volunteering for PFF26 is an awesome opportunity to support the arts in Philadelphia. Giving time to be a part of PFF26 isn’t just a unique volunteer experience; it’s also a lot of fun! Please consider sending the below e-mail out to students (and staff!) who might enjoy participating in this year’s festival. Thank you for your time!
“Get psyched! The Philadelphia Film Festival is only a few months away! PFF is a local tradition that brings the best of Berlin, Cannes, Sundance, and Toronto to Philly for 11 days of incredible international and independent film. The Philadelphia Film Festival offers an amazing range of cinematic experiences, from Q&As with filmmakers and celebrity guests to special events in the festival’s lounge. And then of course there are the films, which run the gamut from awards contenders and indie darlings like La La Land and Moonlight to thought-provoking documentaries and cult favorites like I Am Not Your Negro and Raw — all before they’ve hit theaters! This year, patrons and volunteers alike can look forward to another festival filled with a fantastic variety of screenings, parties, and events. Now in its 26th year, PFF has established itself as one of the biggest events in Philadelphia-something you can’t miss out on!
Here’s the catch: without our amazing volunteers, none of this is possible! From scanning badges and tearing tickets, to counting ballots and driving guests, festival volunteers are a necessity. They are the key to our events running smoothly. Every year, PFF attracts hundreds of volunteers who leave our theaters and events with new friendships and fond memories that last for years to come. Whether you sign up because you’re a film buff or because you’re looking for a new way to help out in the community, volunteering for PFF is the perfect way to get involved, meet new people, and experience acclaimed cinema all at once—and we’d love to have you as a part of our team!
The Philadelphia Film Festival has a range of volunteer positions available, including Venue Operations (Ushers & Greeters), Hospitality & Guest Services, Membership, and Special Events. After each shift, volunteers receive a voucher that can be redeemed for a movie ticket during the film festival or throughout the year at the PFS Roxy. PLUS, volunteers who work 6+ shifts get a FREE Gaffer Level Membership for the Festival experience all year long! Venue managers may also sign off on student volunteer logs for school requirements, when applicable.
