Jin: Realizes what he said as soon as it left his mouth, but instead of letting his embarrassment show, he plays offended when you question him and turns it into a bickering match. “What? Would it be so bad to be married to me? I’m great husband material!” Makes you think he’s just fishing for compliments to the point that it might become an inside joke between you.

Yoongi: Would probably slip up when you’re doing something together like cooking, like “Yeobo, can you pass me that?” When you both realize what he’d said, he would play it off as if it was on purpose and that he was teasing you like “What? We sound like an old married couple.” even though on the inside he’s probably screaming. “WTF WAS THAT YOU IDIOT?!”

Hobi: Catches it as he’s saying it, and immediately bursts into nervous laughter, trying to brush it off as an innocent mistake. “Where did that even come from?! I’m so sorry!” If you tell him it’s nbd, he’ll let it go at that, but if you say you thought it was cute, he might start teasing you with it sometimes as a way to test the lines between friends and something more…

Namjoon: Mentally screaming no.2. He doesn’t even realize what he said until you point it out, and then he sort of just short-circuits for a second before brushing it off and moving on without commenting further on it, like “I did? That’s weird, my bad…” but inside he’s just like “fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck”

Jimin: Mentally screaming no.3. Hears the word echo back into his ears and just freezes for half a second before trying to speed past it and keep talking, until you repeat it back to him in question, and he just purses his lips and feigns ignorance like “Hmm? No, I said-” and tries to quickly change the subject again like nothing happened.

Taehyung: This one was not an accident, he did it on purpose and fully owns up to it. But the issue here is that he already calls you little pet names, like Baby and Jagi, even though you’re ‘just friend’, so it doesn’t really get a reaction out of you, much to his annoyance. “Hey, Yeobo?” “yeah?” 😠”Nevermind…”

Jungkook: Actually screaming No.1. He gets so flustered and starts trying to flat out deny that he said it with increasing desperation. “I didn’t say anything!” “I heard you say it.” “No, you didn’t!” You’d almost think he’s trying to gaslight you if it weren’t for the very visible panic in his eyes to tell you otherwise. Please let it go, for his sake?

"Don't be nervous; my parents are super nice and my brother is a dork. He'll probably embarrass himself before you embarrass yourself," You smiled, trying to cheer up your anxiety-ridden boyfriend.

"Y/N, really?" He whined and dragged a hand down his face causing you to giggle.

"I'm just kidding handsome. But seriously, he's such a dork."

You use the key you kept after moving out to let the two of you into your family home, immediately greeted by the smell of food and your dad asking if that was you.

"Yeah, it's me and Jin, Dad," You answered as you slipped off your shoes by the door and put on some slippers. "Look they even bought you a pair," You whispered to Jin as you pointed them out.

His ears turned red, making you giggle again and rub his arm.

"Perfect timing, we just finished the food," Your mom greeted you happily as she walked into the living room.

"Mom, this is Seokjin, my boyfriend. Jin, this is my mom," You introduced the two with a big smile. "Oh, and this is my dad," You added as he entered the room.

"It's nice to meet you both; Y/N talks about you every day," Jin speaks up softly while shaking both of their hands one at a time.

"The feeling is mutual, Seokjin. Our Y/N talks about you with great reverence."

"Oh, you guys can just call me Jin."

"Big word, Mom," You teased at the same time as Jin.

She playfully rolled her eyes at you. "Go upstairs and get your brother. Jin, come sit at the table."

Jin looked back down at you but your parents had already walked into the dining room. You gently pushed him in their direction and went upstairs to get your baby brother.

You knocked on his door and waited for a response before opening. "Hey, Kid."

"Hey, is your 'date' here?"

"Yeah but why the quotes around 'date?'"

"Because you and I both know... you can't get a date."

"Yeah, well, put some deodorant on before you come downstairs to meet him."

"I'm sure your invisible boyfriend will be okay with some manly stench," He said as he rolled off the bed and led you out of his room.

"You're 14, what part of you is manly?"

"My skincare idol!" Your brother gasped as he walked into the dining room.

"Huh?"

Your brother turned back around to face you. "How much did you pay to get him to come here tonight? Did you sell the house? Are we homeless?"

"What are you talking about, Kid?"

"That's Kim Seokjin-"

"He prefers just Jin."

"There's no way you're dating him."

"I am though, so if you'll excuse me-"

"No, there's no way I'm not sitting next to him."

Your brother quickly walked back into the dining room and you could hear him apologizing for his behavior and introducing himself.

You followed behind him with a confused look on your face, one that your parents matched from their seats at the heads of the table.

"So, where do you know him from?" Your dad asked your brother.

"I researched his skincare routine. His nickname is literally 'Worldwide Handsome.' How do you think I have the perfect skin?"

Jin chuckled shyly as his ears turned red again, clearly not wanting your parents to find out about his nickname (at least during the first meeting).

"Ah, don't be embarrassed Jin," Your mom quickly chimed in.

You smirked, knowing just how you could get back at your little brother for all his trash talk and doubt.

"Yeah Jin, at least you wore deodorant today. The kid didn't."

"So, when's this guy supposed to be here? He's late," Your older brother asked, clearly unimpressed.

"He's actually not late. Dinner starts at 7:00, it's 6:00."

You changed the channel on the tv, not caring that his favorite show was on.

"You're annoying."

"You're irritating."

"Aggravating."

"Irksome."

"Who even says that? Your loser boyfriend some word genius and teaches you new words?" Your brother scoffed and snatched the remote out of your lap.

You turned to look at him with a shit-eating grin. "Yeah, actually."

Yoongi rings the bell as you're setting the table with your parents, who have already met Yoongi. Your mom is humming excitedly at seeing him again; she's happy your dad can finally talk about basketball with someone other than her. She does love Yoongi, but your father's rambling is just... a lot.

"Y/N why is Agust D at our door?"

You dropped everything and practically ran to the door to greet your boyfriend.

"Hi Yoongs," You hummed in his ear as you pulled him into a tight hug.

"What in the world is happening?" You could hear your brother mumble behind you.

"Hi Pretty," Yoongi chuckled at your excitement. "How are you? How was your day?"

"It was good, just missed you a lot," You sighed as you pulled away from him.

"Enough hogging, let us hug him too!" Your mom teased making the two of you laugh.

Once you reluctantly stepped away from Yoongi, your mom pulled him into a hug, and then your dad, both expressing how happy they were to see him again.

"So, you didn't tell me you were dating a rapper. My favorite rapper at that," Your brother mumbled to you.

"Didn't think it was important and I also didn't know," You shrugged.

"You're kinda... goated for bringing Agust D home," He said and pat you on the head.

You chuckled and rolled your eyes. "Yoongi, you have a fan."

"Can you try to eat more of your vegetables please?" Your mom asked your little sister.

"Mom, you kinda just have to let me do my thing. I'm not a kid anymore," Your little sister huffed.

You quickly put a hand over your mouth to cover your laughter. "Babe, you're 10," You reminded her through a snicker.

"But, I deserve some independence! Right? Tell them J-Hope," She tried to argue.

You didn't mean to laugh, it was just so cute. The dark eyeliner and dark clothes to imitate Hobi's Jack in the Box phase but she was just a baby in your eyes; your baby sister that was still in her Hope World phase.

"Babe, you can call him Hobi," You told her softly.

"Really?" She asked, her eyes lighting up.

Hobi nodded and gave her a big smile. "But only if you finish your vegetables," He bargained.

"Deal!"

You placed a hand on his lap and smiled up at him gratefully. "Love you," You mouthed and in return, he leaned down and pecked your temple.

"Well, that settles it," Your dad speaks up. "Welcome to the family, Hobi."

You're genuinely shocked that your older sister knows who Namjoon is. His music isn't her style and she's so much older than you, so you don't know who introduced her to BTS in general.

"Joon, this is my big sister. This is Namjoon, the guy I'm always talking about." Your arm was wrapped around Namjoon's waist, head against his shoulder as you introduced them.

"Oh, so this is 'Joon,'" Your sister hummed and nodded her head. "It's nice to meet you. You're much more handsome in person."

"What?" You blurted out. "I've never shown you pictures of him."

"Girl... this is RM from BTS. I don't live under a rock," She scoffed. "One of my girlfriends on Facebook-"

"Oh, you're so old. Facebook?" You gasped.

"She posted about him and it was love at first sight. Everyone with eyes has a crush on him, come on Y/N. Let's be serious. And he's smart. He'll be good for you."

You let out a breathy laugh as you looked up at your bulky boyfriend to see him smiling confidently. "Um... I see introductions weren't necessary."

"Anyway, Joon, can I call you that?" Your sister ignored you and took his arm to lead him away.

"Sure," He nodded.

"Great, let's talk about some of your greatest lyrics. My personal favorite is..."

You two sat in Jimin's car, mentally preparing to go in and meet your family.

It wasn't like your family was embarrassing or they were bad people or anything like that.

"It's just that... she's a hardcore ARMY. Like, decked out in purple, bleeds purple type of thing. So, if she faints, don't freak out," You explained to your boyfriend as he looked at you with wide eyes.

"Right," He nodded slowly. "Should I call an ambulance if she faints?"

"Oh, no, don't worry. We have a routine for her fainting episodes. There's nothing wrong with her, by the way, she's just really high-strung. But she's a good kid. You'll love her," You promised and took his hand in yours.

He nodded confidently, looking ready to head in. You leaned in to peck his lips, but a knock at your window, made you jump and turn to look back at the perpetrator.

"Hey Tiny, you scared me," You smiled toothlessly at your little sister.

"Yeah, and the lights on the car are freaking out Dad. When are you coming in?"

"Sorry, we're coming," You apologized and Jimin cleared his throat to let out a quiet apology.

Your sister took a closer look at him, eyes growing to the size of saucers.

"Please don't faint right now," You mumbled to her.

She cleared her throat and stood up straight. "Me? Faint? Yeah right, Big," She tried to play cool. "But, uh, you didn't tell me that your boyfriend was Jimin."

You side-eyed her, "Uh, yes I did. I told you on FaceTime that I had a boyfriend. You asked what his name was. I said 'Jimin' and then you laughed in my face and hung up on me."

She let out an awkward chuckle and scratched the back of her neck. "Right, well... we're waiting for you."

The two of you in the car, watched your sister scurry off into the house. It was at this moment you could see she had purple highlights in her hair and she was wearing Shooky slippers, making you facepalm and let out a sigh.

"Well, she didn't faint," Jimin spoke up and rubbed your arm.

"Let's not hold our breath on that."

Between Taehyung and your family, you were jazzed out.

Your parents grew up listening to jazz music so it's always been a big part of your life and love it. Your sister even became a jazz singer.

Jazz isn't as popular as other genres but she's one of the most notable figures of her genre.

And Taehyung? Taehyung plays her all of the time. Ever since you told him you were sisters, he's been pushing to meet your family (more than he already had been).

You're pretty sure he heard the music playing from the driveway, that's how loud the music was.

Your dad claims "Jazz always sets the proper tone." And maybe he was right because Taehyung was all smiles when he walked into the house.

He wasn't his normal shy self as you introduced him to everyone. Especially not with your sister; they got along swimmingly.

"I'm such a huge fan, you have no idea. I've been wanting you meet you for a long time, all of you guys," Taehyung spoke earnestly, hand over his heart.

"The feeling is more than mutual. Y/N tells us that you love jazz," Your sister smiles warmly. "I'm a big fan as well. I've recorded some covers of your songs but I haven't released them."

"That means so much to me," Taehyung smiles, somehow, even bigger than before.

You swoon quietly at the interaction, happy that everyone's being kind and warm. It's so sweet, you kind of don't mind the loud jazz music playing anymore.

You watch them interact, swap the numbers of their managers and go on and on about their love for music.

"He's a keeper Y/N," Your sister winks at you.

"I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be hyping me up but okay."

jeon jungkook

"Woah, who's the dude at the dinner table?" Your sister asked as she walked in.

"You're late," Your dad stated briskly.

"Sorry," She mumbled sheepishly and sat across from you. "Hey, Sissy. Who's the guy?"

"You know he can hear you?" You chuckled.

"Wassup?" She nodded.

"I'm Jungkook, Y/N's boyfriend. It's nice to meet you, finally," Jungkook smiles at your sister.

"I'm sure you know my name. Y/N likes to act like I'm her kid but we're Irish twins. It's nice to meet you, Jungkook. I like your music by the way."

"Thank you."

Dinner was going well until your sister rolled up her sleeves, revealing a new tattoo.

"Oops," She mumbled.

"I thought we said no more tattoos," Your mom sighed, making you wince and put your head in your hands.

Your parents weren't the biggest fans of tattoos, they just didn't understand why someone would permanently mark their body. But your sister was rebellious. Well, you wouldn't even say that, she just did what she wanted.

"Well, I thought you meant no more tattoos as long as I lived here. That's why I moved out," She shrugged.

"I can't believe-"

"How many tattoos do you have?" Jungkook asked, cutting your dad's complaint off, causing you to look up from your hands.

"Oh, well, I honestly plan on having a sleeve. So, one piece but I've had five sessions," Your sister says sheepishly, looking down at her dinner plate.

"Cool. I have a sleeve. I can show you later if you'd like?" Jungkook offered and you looked over at your sister.

Her face lit up like a little kid getting ice cream and your face started to mirror hers.

"Yeah definitely. That'd be so cool," She nodded.

"We can go to our apartment then," You suggested, trying to respect your parents.

Once the situation fizzled out, you turned and pecked Jungkook's arm, making him look down at you puzzled.

"You're the best. She's probably your biggest fan now. After me, of course."

↬ seokjin: “What on earth did you do?” Standing at the doorway of the bathroom, you eye your boyfriend as he lowers the kitchen scissors and flashes you a bashful and guilty grin. “I don’t like when my hair covers my eyes,” he pouts cutely, making you giggle. “Those are our kitchen scissors, Seokjin,” you point out as you walk towards him to inspect his hair cutting skills. Jin turns to face you and leans against the edge of the sink, fighting desperately to not laugh at your attempt to pretend like he didn’t completely botch his hair. “How does it look?” He asks, amused by himself as you snort in response. “Your stylists are going to kill you,” you finally tell him as you trace the uneven ends of his hair with your pointer finger. “Fix it?” He suggests cutely, peering into your gaze from under the askew fringe. Gesturing for the scissors, he easily hands them over, allowing you to take over. “You should have waited for me anyway,” you giggle as his arm snakes around your waist to hold you close to him. “I have actual hair cutting shears, you know.” You watch as his plump lips curve into an amused smile as he nods at you. “This is more fun though, don’t you think?”

↬ yoongi: Your boyfriend is sleepy as he watches the basketball game, his head resting in your lap. He’s spent the first half of the game re-explaining the rules of the game to you for the umpteenth time as you toyed distractedly with his hair. It’s gotten so long, enticing you to keep brushing your fingers through it. “I think your hair is long enough to braid.” You watch as he contorts his features into a confused look that makes him resemble an old grandpa except with pouty lips. “What’s that look for?” You question as he holds back a grin. “Why would I need to braid it?” Rolling your eyes, you comb your fingers through his soft strands. “Why not?” you counter before sectioning his hair into three pieces. As you thread the pieces together, Yoongi’s head becomes heavier against your thighs, his breathing deepening. Intertwining his hair a few more times, you smile to yourself and the pretty braid on the side of his head. “See? I told you,” you tell him, holding the braid together between your fingertips. He simply smiles lazily as he pretends to ignore you, much too enthralled by the dribbling of the ball. Unraveling the strands and brushing them out, you begin again, repeating the motions over and over. Looking up at the game, you watch as one of the players gets fouled and takes to the free throw line. “Wait, why do they get to shoot for that foul but the other guy didn’t?” You ask, getting no response. Peering down at the man, you find he’s been lulled to sleep by the gentle touches on his hair. Grinning at him, you continue braiding his dark hair, happy to see Yoongi so relaxed in your lap.

↬ hoseok: “What are you looking at?” your boyfriend asks over your shoulder as you sit on the kitchen stool, peering down at the phone that holds your attention. Gasping and tugging the device against your chest, you look over your shoulder at his pretty smiling face. “Can’t a girl get some privacy with her second boyfriend?” You tease, Hoseok immediately tsking in disapproval and shaking his head. “You’re so mean,” he playfully complains as you lower the phone to let him see the images you’re scrolling through. “I want to change my hair,” you tell him as he scrutinizes the different hairstyles. He oohs in excitement taking the seat next to you and leaning over your body, touching his pointer finger to the screen and swiping through your options. “Wah,” he suddenly exhales as though he was overwhelmed just by the thought of you with the style displayed. “You’d look really sexy with this,” he kisses your shoulder, causing a small smile to tug on your lips. “A bob? You think I should go that short?” You ask skeptically. “If you want,” she shrugs. “I think it would look really good.” Smiling at him, you deposit the phone on the counter and rise to your feet to stand in front of your boyfriend, squeezing yourself between his thighs. Draping your forearms over his shoulders, you bend just enough to leave a kiss to the apple of his pretty cheeks. “You always think I’m sexy though,” you point out, Hoseok giggling in amusement. “Because you are,” he replies, wrapping his arms around the back of your thighs and tugging you closer to him as he beams. “But still, I like the bob.”

↬ namjoon: You watch in amusement as Namjoon struggles to twist the top of his water bottle off. When he looks across the kitchen island at you with wide innocent eyes, you have to fight back your giggle. Reaching out your hand, he reluctantly places the bottle in your grasp. “Arm day?” You ask as you screw the cap a little, just enough to hear the cracks of it opening. “They’re dead,” he sighs, taking the bottle back from you when you hand it over. “Thank you.” Smiling at him, you tilt your head to the side. “You look like you need to relax for a bit,” you tell him, the man giving you a soft smile. “Let me wash your hair for you.” His eyebrows lift in surprise as he runs a hand through the soft strands. “What? Really?” Nodding at him, you start walking toward the bathroom. “Come on,” you gesture down the hall, telling him to follow you. He does, like a giddy puppy, following wherever you tell him. His face is all crescent eyes, a beautiful smile, and cute dimples as you turn on the water to let it warm up. “We need to give your massive arms a rest,” you tease, though being sincere. Namjoon scoffs but smiles in embarrassed flattery, his expression handsome and slightly goofy.  “Let me take care of you, babe.” You love taking care of him, and it’s not often that you get to dote on him in such a way. He shakes his head and squeezes his eyes shut bashfully, but follows his shyness by taking his shirt off and stepping toward you a bit more confidently. Perhaps you didn’t think this plan through.

↬ jimin: Standing in front of the bathroom mirror brushing your hair, you catch Jimin’s reflection entering the bathroom with his eyes glued to you. “Want help?” He asks through a stunning smile, making you lower the brush and lift your eyebrows in expectation. “You wanna help me, angel?” You ask, Jimin appearing behind you and nodding. “Let me see.” You hand him the brush and tilt your head back slightly to give him better access to the strands. His strokes are gentle as he drags the bristles against your hair, taking his time. There is no rush, as though he would love nothing more than to stand just like this until you feel completely relaxed. Jimin has always been so doting and nurturing, always caring for you in any way he can. Shutting your eyes, you allow yourself to fully appreciate his soothing motions. That is until he giggles, making you pop your eyes open to find him in the mirror smiling in amusement. “I need you to stand up straight, Dear, you’re kind of melting into me here,” he laughs, placing a hand on your hip and guiding you forward. “Sorry,” you smile, realizing you had relaxed completely into his body. However, you immediately miss the feeling of his warmth, this time taking an intentional step back against him. “Dear,” he giggles, giving up and resting his chin against your shoulder. Laughing happily, you turn into his frame and hug your arms around his slim waist. “Sorry,” you say again, this time less sincere as you smile against his neck before leaving a kiss to the spot. “No you’re not,” he retorts, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “No, I’m not.”

↬ taehyung: Eyeing the ends of your hair, you sigh. “I need a trim,” you pout from your spot on the bed as Taehyung hangs some clothes in the closet. “Want me to do it?” He teases from across the room, a small smile on his face as he finds amusement in his own joking. “Could you?” You suddenly ask, gaining his full attention as he snaps his head in your direction, his smile dropping into a blank expression. “What?” He asks in confusion, lowering the shirt and hanger to his side. “Just the ends,” you clarify, fighting back the smile that wants to break through in response to his concern. “I was kidding,” he points out. “I’ve never cut hair before.” You can see the gears in his head turning as he tries to figure out if you’re in your right mind. “There’s a first time for everything,” you shrug. Taehyung’s expression softens slightly as he cracks a small smile, still in disbelief of this interaction. “Peaches,” he sighs, making you giggle. “Dearest,” you reply with a grin. You know the idea of trying something new excites him, and perhaps that’s why you’re pressuring your boyfriend with no hairdressing experience to trim your ends. You’re prepared to tell him how good he is at it just to watch the confidence fill up his stature in that way you love. “You’re losing it,” he then grins as you stand from the bed and make your way towards him. He hangs the shirt just before you reach him and settle your hands on his hips. “Oh, I’m batshit, baby,” you joke. Resting his arms on top of your shoulders, he leans toward you, his lips almost touching yours. “And if I fuck it up?” You shrug again, Taehyung’s face opening into a wide boxy beam. “It’s just hair, Tae.” Pushing yourself forward, you leave a soft kiss to his lips, appreciating the way he has to break away because he’s smiling just a bit too much.

↬ jungkook: Sitting on top of the bathroom counter, you toss your head back in laughter, attempting to catch your breath as Jungkook stares past you and into the mirror with his bambi eyes. A streak of blue sits across his forehead as he asks, “Do you know what you’re doing?” With your blue-stained glove-covered hands held out to the side, you pull a face of offense. “No, but when has that ever mattered?” you question him, watching as a boyish smile overtook his features. “You’ve literally dyed your own hair before, and you’re worried about me.” He glances from his reflection to you as he sighs. “Do I look hot yet?” He asks, pulling a giggle from your lips. “Super hot.” When Jungkook mentioned wanting to dye his hair blue the other day, you jumped on the opportunity to do it for him. Wiping the blue from his forehead, you whisper a quick apology. “I’ll be more careful,” you grin guiltily. “Remember, you’re next,” he warns, flashing a mischievous smile, making you bite your lower lip in thought. “That was not part of the plan,” you argue as you place more dye onto his hair, only for him to take a step away from you to shoot a glare your way. “We’d be couple goals, babe.” Rolling your eyes, you cocked your head to the side, Jungkook mimicking your sassy stance. “We gotta match.” With a sigh, you relent, never really being that against the idea, and never being able to deny him anyway. “Fine. But you’re not done yet,” you nod for him to come closer again. “We’re gonna be so hot together,” he whispers to himself, making you giggle as you get back to work on his hair.

Jin let his bag hit the floor with a thud as he entered the house, heading straight into the living room and falling face down on the sofa with a thump, letting out a muffled groan of frustration.

“Bad day?”

His head popped up, not realizing you were home yet.

You stood in the kitchen doorway, cup of tea in hand, eyeing his tired form with cautious concern.

“It’s nothing.” He said, slumping back against the cushions.

“Are you sure?” You asked, coming to sit next to him, rubbing his back soothingly.

“No.” He said after a moment, looking up at you. “But I don’t want to drag your mood down just cause I’m frustrated.”

You frowned at him. “Do you feel dragged down when I vent about my problems?”

“No.” He said in a small voice.

“So why would it be any different for you?” You smiled at him encouragingly. “I know it’s difficult sometimes, but whatever you need, I’m here for you.”

He hesitated, sitting up slowly before beginning to speak.

“It’s just…” He sighed. “The company made a big deal about rescheduling rehearsals for today, even though we were exhausted from traveling the past few weeks, and when we got there, the choreographer was late and kept getting annoyed at everyone for messing up. And then…”

Once he started, it was like he couldn’t stop, releasing all the day's frustrations, all of the shitty feelings he had been bottling up for the past days and weeks in order to just get through.

You didn’t say anything, just humming along as he spoke, dragging your fingers across his back in the same soothing pattern you did to help him fall asleep.

By the time he had finished, his voice had crept up into a yell, leaving the room starkly quiet in contrast as he finally fell silent, the hands that had been slowly clenching into fists in his lap finally relaxing again.

“Sorry.” He said, softening his tone. His throat was dry, causing his voice to crack slightly, but his chest felt five pounds lighter, able to breathe properly again.

“You have nothing to apologize for,” You said calmly, passing him your forgotten cup of tea. “You need to let it out sometimes.”

You had known something had been bothering him, he had been quieter than usual, his smile slightly forced, not fully reaching his eyes. And although it hurt you to see him pull back as he had, you had tried to be patient and wait for him to talk about it when he was ready, not wanting to push him.

When he lifted his eyes to meet yours, you were smiling at him softly, but not pityingly.

“Feel any better?” You asked gently.

“A bit,” He let out a weak chuckle. “Thank you.”

“Thank you for letting me in.” You said, brushing your thumbs over his cheeks. He hadn’t even realized a few stray tears had slipped out till you were gently wiping them away.

You smiled, kissing his cheek. “How about you go change into something comfy and let me look after you?“

“Okay.” He replied, but he didn’t move just yet.

Staring down at you, he was suddenly struck by how lucky he felt to have you. You never judged him or tried to fix his problems for him, you just let him be. He never had to pretend with you, he could let anything out, good or bad, without fear of rejection. Although you may have only been together for a comparatively short time, you had become his safe space.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” You asked, shifting awkwardly under his gaze.

He shook his head.

“I just love you.” He said simply, earning a flustered grin from you.

“I love you too.” You said quietly.

He pulled you close, resting his head on top of yours, taking in the scent of your shampoo as he let out a deep breath, feeling peaceful for the first time in days.

His problems might still be there, but they didn’t seem as bad right now, knowing that he had you to lean on and to keep him safe.

↬ seokjin: Your legs are still a bit unstable and full of sleep as you make your way back into the bedroom with a glass of water. You pause at the doorway, leaning against it as you watch Seokjin, his face adorably pressed against the pillow, his plush lips smooshed into a cute pout. Stepping toward him, he stirs, his hands searching for your body that is not in bed with him. It’s then that he lifts his head, his eyebrows pulling into a scowl, his eyelids forcing themselves open in search of you. Spotting you standing beside the bed, he grunts in disapproval. “Jinnie,” you coo, trying to coax him awake. In defiance, he plops his head against the pillows once again. “Love, no,” he groans, his arms lazily reaching out for you again, in desire of finding you and pulling you back into the coziness of your bed. “Come on,” you giggle, setting the glass of water down on the bedside table. As if the sound of the glass touching the wooden tabletop is his cue, he suddenly uses all his energy to lunge forward, wrapping his arms around your thighs, and pulls you down onto the mattress with him. Tugging you against him, he tosses the blankets over your laughing form and slings his leg over your hips. “Stay here with me,” he mumbles against the top of your head, the words followed by a sweet peck to your hair. “What about breakfast?” You question as your arm rests over his waist, already allowing your lingering tiredness and the warmth of his body lull you back to sleep. “We’ll have lunch.”

↬ yoongi: Your eyes are heavy as you run the sponge over the plate in the soapy water. You would kill for an early night, the week’s stress wearing you down. A yawn slips from your lips just as Yoongi’s arms wrap around your waist, drawing a surprised gasp from you. He chuckles against your frame as he whispers a quick apology before he tucks his chin over your shoulder. “Missed you,” he mumbles quietly, as though he has to be gentle with the volume of his voice. You hum in response, relaxing in his arms to reciprocate the feeling, a silent, missed you too. “New perfume?” He suddenly asks, the question making you halt your actions for a moment, your hands lingering in the dishwater all covered in suds. “You can tell?” You ask through a fond, appreciative smile. “It’s nice,” he simply replies, kissing your neck softly. As you reach for another dish, Yoongi uses his position behind you to pull you away from the sink, squeezing his body between you and the dishes as he instantly takes over the task. “Yoongi,” you complain. “Go rest,” he nods toward the bedroom, all but kicking you out of the kitchen. “I mean it, I’ll join you soon.”

↬ hoseok: It’s late and you’ve been on the road all day, both you and Hoseok feeling the tension from your agitated states. A long day of traveling and minor inconveniences has resulted in two cranky people who have been taking turns snapping at each other over the past several hours. After an uncomfortable period of silence as you stare out the window, Hoseok’s voice is gentle over the music humming quietly throughout the cab: “The moon is full,” he says in an attempt to defuse the heaviness of your previously foul moods. You love the moon. Turning to look at him, he points through the windshield, directing your gaze. Craning your neck to peer up at the sky, you see the brightness of the moon’s glow, lighting up the night. Just like that, a simple gesture of goodwill and expression of love, both of your demeanors soften. You watch as he places his hand over the gear shift and settles into his seat, your body following suit as you sit back in yours. You reach over and place your hand overtop his, and he instantly twists the limb in your grasp to intertwine his fingers with yours. A small smile curves on your lips as you glance over at his handsome side profile and spot the soft dimple in his cheek as his own grin grows wider. No apology is necessary when his thumb brushes the side of your hand and you squeeze tightly for just a moment.

↬ namjoon: You are what Namjoon calls a chronic overthinker, and well, he would know as he suffers the same fate. You’re in the kitchen sitting at the island, unable to sleep and not wanting your tossing and turning to wake your boyfriend. However, you didn’t consider what your lack of presence would do to his slumber. “What’s wrong?” Namjoon’s low, sleep-filled voice sounds from behind you, startling you as you snap your head towards him. Through a sign, you tell him, “I just can’t sleep,” as you turn in your seat to face him. “You go back to bed though, I won’t be up long.” Namjoon shoots you a sassy glare, as though your suggestion is ridiculous to him. He moves to the stove and puts a kettle on to boil. Then, he joins you at the island, standing behind you while his hands find purchase on your shoulders as he takes a crack at massaging out the tension. “Wanna talk about it?” He asks before giggling at the moan that slips from your lips. “Tomorrow,” you tell him. He leans forward and kisses the back of your head gently. “Ok,” he whispers in understanding, his hands still gently soothing the muscles in your shoulders and neck. “We’ll have some tea and then try to sleep again,” he relays his plan, a smile curving on your lips as you nod in approval. He leans closer to your ear, kissing the shell of it before whispering his command for you. “You just focus on relaxing.”

↬ jimin: Pressing the button for your floor inside the elevator, you let out a sigh- your body’s attempt to release the stress from the day. Just as the doors start to close, you hear someone calling out to you from the apartment complex’s entryway. “Dear!” Jimin’s voice sounds, triggering you to quickly use your arm to halt the doors from shutting. You smile at your boyfriend as he jogs into the elevator, flashing you that pretty beam, and you already feel more at peace. “Fancy meeting you here,” you flirt, earning a breathy chuckle from the man. He brushes his hand through his hair in that charming way that makes millions swoon, his other hand lifting the grocery bag and forcing your gaze from his angelic features to take notice. “Got us a little something,” he smirks. Lifting your eyebrows in intrigue, Jimin pulls a glass bottle out of the bag just far enough for you to deduce its contents. Wine. “God, I love you,” you exhale happily, Jimin giggling as he leans in and leaves a kiss to your mouth. “Let’s get wasted,” he jokingly whispers against your lips through an obvious grin as you fall into his embrace, happy to be home.

↬ taehyung: There’s an incessant tapping against the side of your calf muscle. That’s the first indication of Taehyung’s stress. Your legs are draped over his lap as you read a book and he watches the television. However, peering over the pages, you find a crease etched between his eyebrows as he stares ahead at the wall rather than the screen, lost in thought. And that’s your second indication of stress. The third comes in the form of a sigh that he doesn’t realize he lets out. Frowning at him, you set the book aside and pull your legs from his lap, the sudden loss of your presence shifting his attention to you. You cock your head at his wide-eyed gaze, the sweet man looking innocent and bewildered. He watches as you sit up on your knees and make your way across the sofa to him, instantly draping your leg over his hips and straddling his lap. As if it’s instinctual, his large hands settle on the sides of your thighs as he looks up at you, his tongue poking between his lips to wet them. “Hi,” he greets, still confused by the sudden attention but not at all opposed. “What’s on your mind, Dearest?” You ask, noting the way his eyes soften and his body relaxes slightly beneath you. It feels as though he’s been waiting for someone to ask. You lean toward him and press your lips softly against his forehead, lingering for a small moment before whispering against his skin: “Tell me all about it.”

↬ jungkook: You follow the sound of water cascading to the shower floor and Jungkook’s pretty vocals all the way from the front door of your apartment to the bathroom. The echoes of his shower singing, a habit of his that you adore, acts like breadcrumbs, a trail you can’t resist pursuing. Stepping into the space, you’re instantly enwrapped with steam, Jungkook’s stunning voice, and the scent of vanilla. Behind the foggy glass is Jungkook’s distorted frame, and you’re hit with the desire to join him and let the hot water and the man you love melt away the stress of the day. “Are you using my body wash again, you brat?” You lightheartedly accuse overtop the rush of the water raining over him. His head snaps in your direction, Jungkook brushing his palm against the steamy door to clear a section to spot you through. The shower door then opens, his cute doe eyes shining as he beams guiltily at you, the man pushing his wet hair back. The giggle he lets out already has your troubles from the day drifting from your mind. “It smells better than mine,” he replies cutely. Smiling back at him, you watch the water pour down his toned body as he gestures for you to join him with a nod of his head. A wordless invitation you’re more than happy to accept. Before you can process your actions, you’re pulling your clothes off, aching to get your hands on the vanilla scented dream boy who smiles at you giddily.
