For Mei and Hue, who realized they "liked" the other first? Was Mei the dense one who didn't realize Hue liked her, or was she pining for him while he was focused on Plasma?

Their relationship dynamic is definitely the former.

Hue has harbored romantic feelings for Mei since before the two even began their journey. The realization struck him shortly following Team Plasma's abduction of his younger sister's Purrloin.

Mei was right there with the pair of siblings during that dark hour, clinging onto them both tightly and wailing alongside his sister as though it were her own Pokémon stolen away.

Hue was already well aware of how emotional she is, but her sympathizing with his family's loss to such an extent struck a chord somewhere deep within his heart.

However, Hue has thoroughly convinced himself she could never possibly return his affections. Mei openly swoons over princely men from anime and manga and fantasizes about finding one of her own someday soon.

What she wants is a prince and... he's certainly not one.

Therefore, Hue has resigned himself to the fate of silently longing for his best friend in secret - which is exceedingly difficult to do when he frequently finds her to be so cute.

He manages to remain composed whenever she's in his presence, being so adorable - but the moment he's assured Mei is out of sight, Hue punches a nearby wall or tree or screams into his sleeve because his heart is performing consecutive backflips inside his chest and he knows no alternate method of dealing with it.

Well, in all honesty, occasions arrive where Mei's cuteness is entirely too much for him to take and he loses the struggle to keep those reactions contained.

Mei: Why did you just punch that tree?! Your hand is all bloody!! (*There is in fact only a small amount of blood-) Hue: Uhh, because I... hate Team Plasma? Mei: ...Okaaaay? Let's... bandage you up, then. Like you do for me. *grasps his other hand and guides him away from the area before he has the opportunity to punch anything else* Hue: *stares at their joined hands for several seconds in silence then screams into his sleeve* Mei: WHAT'S WRONG?!?! Did you hurt this one too?! *carefully inspects the hand she's holding* Hue: No, I just... really, REALLY hate Team Plasma. Mei: *narrows her eyes* You need to find better ways to deal with that rage of yours. Ways that don't involve screaming and scaring away the Pidove and hurting yourself!!

Much later, after Mei acknowledges Hue's feelings as well as her own, his insecurities are at last quelled:

Mei: You may not be a prince, but you're strong and brave and loyal. So maybe who I need is a knight instead! *holds both his hands and entwines their fingers* ...Would you like that, Hue? Would you like to be my white knight~? ♡ Hue: *stares at her, wide eyed and blushing, then nods and buries his face into his shoulder* Mei: Please don't scream again (✿◠‿◠).

Fankidtober Days 14 and 15: Sarah Ketchum and Lilith Matisse!

Sarah was supposed to be uploaded yesterday but I completely forgot. She’s the middle child of Ash and Serena and is a big fan of all things spooky! I feel like she would be a Coordinator but I’m not 100% certain.

Today we have Lilith, Hugh and Rosa’s daughter! She a talented competitive trainer who proves to be a challenging rival for Alex when he travels through Unova. Her appearance may be intimidating, but she’s kind, patient, and supportive of her friends.
