Hello, readers! 🌙 Have you read The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare? I read it 5 years ago, yet I still love it so much. It’s one of those epic reads I just can’t forget. I gave it 4🌟 overall, as a series, it was just so good!!! It’s the second series I read from her but it’s the most memorable one. In my opinion, this is the best series she wrote so far. It’s short but very complex, and not only the plot but the characters too are just so mesmerizing. The story is set in London, in the year 1878. Tessa Gray is searching for her lost brother… That’s how she finds herself in the supernatural underworld. Her only allies end up being Will and Jem, shadowhunters that fight demons to keep the world safe. The trio soon discovers that the secret organization, called Pandemonium Club, is out there seeking high purpose. Tessa, Will and Jem must do anything to stop them… Doesn’t the plot sound absolutely delicious??? 👀 Tessa, Will and Jem are so well written. Everything about them is fascinating. It’s almost the only love triangle I approve of. Their relationship is so difficult and different, I can’t help but love them, okay? Not to mention the fact that Will is one of my fictional boyfriends. 👀 Tags: #epicreads #cassandraclare #shadowhunters #shadowhunterslegacy #theinfernaldevices #tessagray #jemcarstairs #willherondale #serialreader #cititoare #clubulcititorilor #cititoridinromania #bookstagramromania #bookcommunity #bookishpost #bookphotography #autumnvibes🍁🍂🍃 #bookrecommendations #bookreview #recenziecarte #cartestagram #bookblogger #bookstagramacademy https://www.instagram.com/p/CWSq0S0rbc5/?utm_medium=tumblr

#victordixen #phobos #glenat #glenatbd #sciencefiction #adaptation #telerealite #conquêtedemars #mars #passionlecture #passionbd #livraddict #serialreader #bookstragram (à Cap Canaveral) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVM2nMSMJQ-/?utm_medium=tumblr

. . "The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art's aim. The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things. The highest as the lowest form of criticism is a mode of autobiography. Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all. The nineteenth century dislike of realism is the rage of Caliban seeing his own face in a glass. The nineteenth century dislike of romanticism is the rage of Caliban not seeing his own face in a glass. The moral life of man forms part of the subject-matter of the artist, but the morality of art consists in the perfect use of an imperfect medium. No artist desires to prove anything. Even things that are true can be proved. No artist has ethical sympathies. An ethical sympathy in an artist is an unpardonable mannerism of style. No artist is ever morbid. The artist can express everything. Thought and language are to the artist instruments of an art. Vice and virtue are to the artist materials for an art. From the point of view of form, the type of all the arts is the art of the musician. From the point of view of feeling, the actor's craft is the type. All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the work is new, complex, and vital. When critics disagree, the artist is in accord with himself. We can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely. All art is quite useless. Ok so this classic novel was great. I love the ideology in it. The story line used to convey these existential  ideas was pretty unique and I can really appreciate this journey. It was moving and heartfelt. I think it holds a lot of wisdom within its pages.
I gave it a 4 out of 5 because the theme of this novel is beautiful and the ideology instilled has something for everyone.
But I really wanted to use this opportunity to promote a wonderful app that I found recently. If you’re anything like me, you maybe spent too much time reading obscure fiction and not enough with the classics. Well, Serial Reader is your answer! This app will give you about 10 pages a day of a classic of your choosing and in about a month of 15 minutes a day of reading, BAM classic done. Plus, if you pay the extra amount, you have the ability to pause the issues sent, which is nice if you just want to switch to some light reading and don’t want the whole novel yet. Highlighting is also a paid feature but really it’s worth paying the couple of bucks on this app. I highly recommend any and all who haven’t sat down and read all the classics you’ve maybe wanted to. Thanks!

Let’s start the week on a positive note with some lovely romance reads!❤️ Have you read Katie McGarry’s books? I read the ones in the picture and my ratings as they follow (from left to right): ❤️ “Crash into you” - absolute masterpiece, 5🌟 🖤 “Dare to you” - a roller coaster, 3.5🌟 🤍 “Pushing the limits” - the first book in the series, the first book I read, a strong 4🌟. These 3 books are some of my favorite romance novels, next to Colleen Hoover’s. I totally loved the plot in all of them and they are so addictive! I just couldn’t put them down. Well now, I could talk about the plot but I think they, especially the first one, should be read while knowing nothing about the plot, or the synopsis. Or at least, the bare minimum. It’s so nice to just dive into them and get completely sucked into that world. The feels are strong in these. You know Im all about those damn feels 🤣 Each and every story is so different yet somehow they all made me feel so much. Each character is unique and I really enjoyed having 2 POVs. It made it all much more intense. As the author alternates between the two main characters POV, I got to be more empathetic and understand the characters more deeply. Overall I really loved this series, because each story focuses on different couples with distinct personalities. The love stories are full of self development and maturity. I find that so beautiful. But please beware, since there are some very sensitive issues and mature themes going on in the books, I think they should be read only by people who are at least 16 years old. 😅 . . . #serialreader #litterature #roman #ChansonDouce #LeilaSlimani #jaimelire #folioeditions #folio #meurtre #paris #lisezdeslivres #bibliotheque #slimani #autrice #ecrivaine #goncourt #goncourt2016 #prixdeslectricesdeelle #prixdeslyceennesdeelle #livre https://www.instagram.com/p/COljHhkrj77/?igshid=15q31pvpz35in

btw if you’re like ‘wow this serial model for reading classics is easier for me to digest and i’d like to try reading other classics in a similar way’ serialreader is an app that sort of does that. there’s a bunch of classics books on there divided into “issues” and you can set what time of day you want to receive chapters daily. upgrading allows you to customize your reading schedule more (in addition to other perks).
