No, Jungkook does not go around calling us girlfriends. When Army asks if he has a girlfriend, he says he doesn't, but Army that can be his girlfriends. When Army asks to be his girlfriend, he says yes. He said he could be our boyfriend, brother, friend, anything. He knows fans fantasize about him and he's okay with it, because fantasizing about celebrities is normal. And if Army instead need a brother or a friend, he wants to symbolically be that for us.

It's not about encouraging parasocial relationships, it's about unconditional love and acceptance. Jungkook doesn't care if you want to be his boyfriend or his girlfriend, his best friend or something else. He wants to be to the fans whatever the fans want him to be - in the sense that he wants us to be happy and feel loved, because he loves us no matter what.
