30 August 2022: Queen Rania chaired a board meeting of Queen Rania Foundation. She then met with UNICEF’s first refugee Goodwill Ambassador, Muzoon Almellehan.

During the meeting, Her Majesty expressed her appreciation for the role that Muzoon has undertaken as an advocate for girls’ education and a supporter of refugee children. (Source: Petra)

In the presence of UNICEF Deputy Representative Shairose Mawji, Muzoon expressed her sincere gratitude for Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania and the Jordanian people for providing an exceptional warm welcome and safe haven to Syrian refugees, as well as an education for refugee children and youth, including Muzoon herself when she was a young girl.

On Wednesday she will commence a two-day tour across the country, joining children and youth in refugee camps and host communities as they return to school, and visiting UNICEF-supported Makani centers in addition to youth engaged in entrepreneurship, green jobs, climate action and skill building.

Porterhouse Medical Group joins imc group

Porterhouse Medical Group has joined up with imc (integrated medhealth communication) group, a healthcare communications and consulting agency.

Porterhouse’s co-founder and joint managing director Jon Hallows said together the groups will continue to deliver innovative solutions for their clients during their most challenging period yet.

He added: “We’re excited to be building the future of strategic healthcare communications as we join forces with imc group, together extending our reach and service provision across North America and Europe.”

Founded by Hallows and Brian Parsons in 2002, the Reading, UK-headquartered Porterhouse is a healthcare communications and insights research agency that provides scientific and medical expertise to the global pharmaceutical industry.

It joins imc’s fast-growing network of international offices and teams, which already work with some of the largest pharma companies in the world, including AstraZeneca and Takeda. Combining teams will strengthen the companies’ capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic.

Shairose Ebrahim, imc group co-founder, president and CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Porterhouse to the imc family. Combined, we will have over 165 employees across four countries, offering seamless solutions for all our clients.

“Together we can build on the fantastic capabilities that imc and Porterhouse collectively have; I couldn’t be more thrilled.”

The deal was agreed with support from Waterland Private Equity, a Netherlands-based investment group that has invested in over 600 companies to date.

The deal with Porterhouse Medical Group was its first add-on investment following agreeing a partnership with imc in May and, the investment group said, is planned as the first step of “ambitious plans to create a leading independent provider of global healthcare communications and consulting to the pharmaceutical industry”.
